Prompt 1 As you stand next in line for your turn for a ride, a beautiful stallion soon arrives to the waiting area, pulling behind it an ornate, elegant looking carriage cart. Despite having taken several rides before you, the horse seems to be full of energy and the driver as cheerful as ever. The party before you leaves the ride, so now it's your turn to hop on!
Carriage rides weren't exactly designed for feline riders but that didn't deter Theodore at all. He had spent the day tromping through the snow while his mistress was busy, sneaking into malls and booths to run off with trinkets he could hide in his subspace pocket for his dearest mistress (he could even wrap the presents if he got to negaspace now that he knew he had access to thumbs!!!!) and he was quite cold and wet, despite having traded his traditional bowtie for a candy striped scarf and his tophat had been replaced with a festive beanie that had ear holes so it didn't fall of his head!
He certainly looked the part for the holidays but he was tired, his paws too damp and cold that when he saw the opportunity to ride on a carriage ride with hopefully cat-friendly patrons, he took the chance.
Of course his first attempt had him missing the carriage despite his usual talented leaps because he couldn't exactly spring off of soft snow. If it were possible to blush, Theodore's cheeks would be rosy when he launched himself up again, paws scrambling to catch himself as he climbed into the carriage.
He spotted a seemingly nice lady and meowed at her, paws pressing against her legs in a silent request to be picked up.

Queenie's Points: 9 + 2
Prompt 2 Pulling the provided blanket onto your lap, it's time for your ride to begin! …… or it would be, but your driver is quickly dismounting from his seat, apologizing profusely as he feels the need to visit the restroom prior to leaving. Ah, well, a few minutes wait won't hurt, right? Your horse seems to think otherwise, though, as not seconds after the driver reaches for the horse's reins to tie them up, the stallion seems to be spooked by something that no one else sees. With a terrified whinny, he rears up and begins a sprint - carrying you behind in tow! It looks like your adventure is beginning - but without a driver!
She waited for the fellow carriage goers to make their way onto the cart, ever-hopeful that perhaps she'd be seated next to some rich, handsome, single gentleman and her day would be brightened significantly.
What she got was a cat.
Pink eyes widened as she saw the poor thing struggling up into the vehicle, soon pawing at her leggings with wide, pitiful pink eyes. Maybe it was the look, maybe it was the fact he seemed so pitiful covered in snow, maybe it was the tiny mrow but Queenie found herself bending down to collect the creature and settle him onto her lap -- dusting off the excess snow from his fur first, of course.
"You're not exactly the sort of suitor I was hoping for but we'll make this work, won't we?"
She tugged the provided blanket over them both, settling in and waiting for the next customers to board when the cart lurched forward, sending the carriage off... and without a driver, no less!
There was no way she was going to be on the news as some poor victim in a runaway carriage incident, so Queenie was quick to try to move, her intentions to flee the carriage before it picked up speed. Unfortunately, the jerky movement of the cart sent her backwards, her head receiving a loud, nasty thunk on the back of the wood that left her seeing stars.
Oh how could this get any worse?

Theodore was quite pleased with himself when the lady picked him up and he was quite content to curl up in her lap and leech heat from her on the merry carriage ride-- maybe he'd even nap!
But the driver man made some comment about needing to use the bathroom and Theodore gave him quite the stink eye when he passed. Surely the man could have been more professional! Why have patrons board a carriage if they had to wait in the cold without the magic of the ride because the man had not thought to pee at a more appropriate time.
"Mmrrrow," Theodore said to Queenie, kneading her lap and settling in her lap when the carriage jolted around them and he let out a terrible yowl.
He was being tossed this way and that by the bumping and without thinking, extended his claws and very desperately held onto the blanket on the woman's lap.

Queenie's Points: 9 + 2 + 4
Prompt 3 The carriage heads straight for the dense forest in front of you, the poor stallion still running at top notch speed away from.. well, whatever initially spooked the beast. As the vehicle lurches and rocks from side to side, you find that there's an even more ominous threat laying straight ahead of you. Rather -- right at eye level with you! Branches loom in the air like spindly, gnarled fingers reaching for you and you'll have to utilize your best dodging skills to avoid getting smacked (or worse!)
"H-Hey, watch where you're stabbing those things!"
The nails of the adorable cat were digging straight through the blanket's material and finding their way into Queenie's cute leggings. It wasn't the leggings she was worried about so much as her legs inside of them -- but there wasn't really time to fuss, not when she looked up just in time to see an overly large branch headed their way!
Leaning down, she sucked in a sharp breath as a wayward branch scraped against the side of her arm. As the terrified horse continued onward, she struggled to weave her way out of the way of the many branches, getting minor scrapes and cuts along the way.
Out of instinct, she pulled the blanket (and therefore the cat as well) close to her, cradling the poor thing as she feared what could only happen next on this horrible ride from Hell.

Clementine Drew Score: 4
Clementine could whine and complain all she liked, but the real truth of the matter was that she had been a Horse Girl for a year or two, once, and she had never truly kicked that fondness; any protests she put up about a carriage-ride with her parents were perfunctory and mild, only there for the sake of appearing to put up a fight. She liked being contrary, actually. It made it a little easier to not break into tears over any imperfection if she just complained about people's opinions instead, no matter how right those opinions were.
She was getting taller, probably just about done with her growth spurt, but that didn't help her any when she was the last one onto the cart and someone shoved her from behind -- Clem whirled around, ready to snap and spit, until her father called her back and she settled herself in on the side. She was going to enjoy this if she killed someone: it would be the last hurrah of her Horse Girl days.

... couldn't he have used the bathroom before leaving? Clementine had questions, most of them unkind, but no matter how pointed her pouts and growls were the driver still went off on his way with an apologetic wave. "He's going to take for - ev - er," she complained to her mother as the man walked away, who patted her on the shoulder and gave her half - gentling words. Clem's primary interests at this point were looking up Horse Facts (TM), or they would have been, right up until the piercing sound of a horse shot straight through her ears -- she slammed one hand into the wall of the carriage out of an unspecified desire to move -- and then they were moving, her hair flying back into her face as she spit it out.
Horses sucked. Why did she like horses when they did things like this? She had even more questions now. After that brief moment, at least, her hair sorted itself back out without any input from her, looking beautifully windswept and hopefully distracting her parents from the look on her face; she shoved both her wayward hand and her gentler one back under the blanket, drew her shoulders up, and let out an undignified squeak when the carriage shook.

If Clementine made a little wailing noise when the branches started flying, nobody said anything; her parents were busy ducking for cover (or at least she assumed, from what she heard), and she would have too, except she had gone still like a deer in headlights yet again. It wasn't really a good look for her, freezing up in the face of any danger, but she couldn't explain it to them in any way that would make sense -- Senshi business was Senshi business, and it was an easy magical girl rule to never tell anyone who wasn't also In The Know.
Luckily enough, maybe, she managed to snap out of it eventually -- and that 'eventually' was after she took a few hits and scratches, true, and a branch or two broke off in her hair -- but she'd be fine with only a cut or two, some raised bruises, some scratches. She'd been through worse. (Stupid horse and its stupid whims. Where were they even going? Horses sucked, actually, and she was swapping over to being a Dolphin Girl after this or something. Maybe foxes. Foxes were cool.)

"Mom -- mom, what the <********>," Clementine screeched, way past the verge of tears already and deep into the valley of undignified sniffling, "mom, this sucks, why do we still live in Destiny City can we move - " The response, which she was undoubtedly sure was something along the lines of Clementine, do you know how hard it is to get a job in this economy after our work history, was drowned out in its' entirety by the combined noise of ravenous wolves and snapping branches.
Clementine immediately stabbed a wolf in the snout. She felt bad, a little, but not bad enough to let her or her parents get eaten by wolves.

It didn't take long before she dropped the newfound (albeit makeshift) spear over the side of the carriage, curling up tight against her parents in the face of the river.
Wow, this was a terrible time to get wet -- she didn't even like eating icecubes, and this was like getting slapped with a ton of icecubes, except for all the ways where it absolutely wasn't and she was too distraught, wet, and generally miserable to come up with a joke or a new comparison.

Clementine was too busy shaking from the cold (and lying on the floor of the carriage like a dead fish) to pay much notice to her surroundings, but she did have to admit that the flowers were nice. The lights were pretty, too, but what was less pretty was the fact she kept sneezing so hard her face hurt and she mostly just wanted three more jackets.
All in all, she'd had better carriage rides. Even the rescue approaching couldn't help restore her enthusiasm.

Theodore made sure to give her his most pathetic, pitiful whine in response to her scolding, his ears folding back against his skull when he looked up at her with big pink eyes. There wasn't exactly time to let her react when there was a sudden large branch nearly smacking the girl in the face.
He was scooped up, pressed against her chest which he buried his face against, letting out unhappy whines, but at the very least he was...safe.
Mostly.
From time to time he could feel the raking of branches across his furry back.

Queenie's Points: 9 + 2 + 4 + 9
Prompt 4 Just as you think you've made your way out of the worst of the forest, a series of ominous howls close by assures you that you definitely have not seen the worst. It doesn't take long for the wolves to appear from within the shadows. Golden eyes and snarling fangs begin the chase - whether they're going after your poor horse or after you is still yet to be determined. Let's just hope your horse still has some energy left in him to get you out of this bind.
The small cat let out the most pitiful sound, tugging at Queenie's typically selfish heartstrings. She cradled the furry thing with the blanket still draped between them, which lasted for all of seconds before an ominous howl was heard in the distance.
And it wasn't that far off, distance wise.
Immediately her hand flew up to grab for something to protect herself with, colliding with a sizable branch apparently ready to split from its tree. It came off with a crack and Queenie was surprisingly blessed with a large weapon to defend her and her furry friend with.
As the wolves neared, she swung the thick stick at the canines, sending one off with an irritated whine.

It didn't matter that the orange haired girl was trying to keep him safe and protected, there were ominous howls and barking and--
WOLVES.
Immediately Theodore began hissing, even from the safety of the girl's arms, his tail fluffing out in that angry, defensive cat manner. There was a low growl in the back of his throat as he used his paws to knock something out at them, only to come back with teeth grazing one of his tail.
His cry was pitiful, but the blood was worse.

Quote: As the stallion leaves the river and climbs his way back up onto the banks, he seems to finally be tuckered out from all of the excitement and exercise. Although his trot is significantly slower, the animal seems to know where it's going and soon you're approaching a small field with an array of flowers - an odd sight to see in the middle of winter but it's there, nevertheless. As the beast comes to a halt to begin munching on a few of the colorful flowers, a small, sparkly burst of color zips by your head and for a second, you wonder if your tired mind is playing tricks on you. 7-10: More small balls of light whiz by your head as you sit in the now-still cart. They look like fireflies but larger; it's hard to get a good look at them with the way they're bouncing around but it's fascinating to watch all the same. Bernard could finally feel the carriage slowing down, and that they were out of the water. He took his claws out of the seat, and looked out of the side to see what was going on. The horse had found some sort of field with flowers and was currently eating them. Bernard glared. Flowers! That's what this entire dangerous trip was for?! Some FLOWERS?! As much as he wanted to try and jump on the horses back to perhaps scare it again, or fire a kitty beam at it, he held back. It wasn't the gentlemanly thing to do and more importantly he didn't know if it would be even worse if the horse started up again.
He looked over to his "companion", only barely seeing the lights flashing on the side of his peripheral vision. "It would seem that the horse has finally stopped. I believe it is safe to get out now." He said as he slowly made his way to the bottom of the carriage. He certainly didn't want to stay here too long! If the horse started up again, they could go into a full sprint and who knew when or where that one would end up!
