Noah took a deep breath and nodded. Once was he well, though, could they go somewhere fun? Maybe the safari, somewhere they could catch Pokemon where it wouldn't be much of an issue. "Maybe the safari zone when Paian okays it?" he offered. They wouldn't be finding any legendaries there, but they might find a dratini.

"Hmm, we could definitely go there, once Paian feels you are well enough for it. They usually have quite a variety of Pokemon and you will surely find ones you will like,"she agreed. She knew he needed to bond with other Pokemon again, maybe he would regain some of his confidence that way.

Noah thought it would be at least several months before he was in the all clear. Paian was a certified doctor and that meant that he wasn’t any fun a lot of the time. He wouldn’t allow Noah out for long, or far from home, until he was well enough. “I hope it’s soon,” he said. “I used to hear rumors about chansey being there.”

"Well, you were pretty bad off when they brought you home, so may be a little while. However, I have heard those rumors about Chansey there, though I don't know how true they are,"she admitted.

“Bad enough everyone thought I was already dead,” Noah seemed to remember. He smiled at Dea. “I hope it’s not too long. I don’t think I can take another two of doing very little.” He shook his head. “So maybe we’ll catch a chansey. Maybe not.”
He leaned to kiss her cheek. “I didn’t poison that soup, you know.”

"Yeah, they told me that had happened with the information they were given. I am sure it will be time to go before you know it. Just try to be patient and take it one day at a time, okay?"she asked.

Noah couldn’t promise he’d be patient, but he could try. He nodded. “Alright,” he said. “You’ll come with me, though?” He asked. When it was time and Paian did allow it, he thought he’d prefer it if Dea was there with him. “We might catch a pair.”

"Thank you, I know it isn't easy, but I believe you can do it. And if you want me to, sure, I can go with you when you are allowed to. I don't know if we would find a pair, but anything is possible,"she answered.

"I want you to," he said. "Paian is no fun when he's trying to tell me what to do, but you aren't like him." He shrugged, offering Dea a small smile. "I think I liked it better when he looked up to me," he said. He held his hand below his chest to indicate he meant heightwise. "He bossed me less."

"Honey, you have to remember, he just does it like that because he cares. Plus, he deals with a very stubborn trainer, who he has to convince to rest sometimes,"she reminded. When he talked about him looking up at him, she smiled softly.

"That is the way that works best for him, dear. And I can't help it, he learned bossing from me very well. He has been with me since I was little, when Dad gave him to me. And don't worry, we will have some fun soon enough, just take it easy for now,"she spoke.

Noah doubted that. Bossing couldn’t be the easiest way to express that he cared. Noah remembered a time when Paian had been less bossy, but maybe that had been because he hadn’t understood him. “You are bossy,” he said. “But I don’t think anyone’s as bossy as Squirt.”
He kissed her cheek. “Soon,” he agreed.

"I don't know, I think Paian and I take turns with the bossing. It just depends on the situation and who is in a bossing mood. And yes, soon, just hang in there love. Before you know it, we will be catching Pokemon,"she smiled.

"Maybe I'll be in a bossing mood soon," Noah offered. He smiled at her. He'd spent his fair share of time bossing her, ensuring she didn't overwork herself or spend too much energy when she wasn't well. He supposed this was just making up for all that time.
"Soon," he said.
