Did the balloons wish to show him favor? Not this time. Maybe.... maybe he should try to actively learn how to throw a dart, sometime? Because just flinging them like this seemed to be ineffective.

Luck just wasn't going to be on her side was it? Stomping her foot, though not as hard as she wanted, EunKyung paid for more darts. She was, by now, determined to get one balloon - at least one! To pop for her! She needed to do so at this point,

Taking a deep, slow, breath she let it out before tossing the darts..one at a time.

Balloon popping! Darts were something Loren liked, so he was fairly optimistic about this one. It didn't take anything for him to approach the booth, get his place in line, get his darts, and line up the shot. Now, he knew he wasn't even a hobbyist of them by any means, so he didn't really have high hopes, but wishful thinking was always nice, right? He squinted one eye shut, tongue sticking out a bit, then opened that eye and squinted the other one shut. Okay, well, he didn't really know which eye was dominant, or more correct. He was going to just have to average it, or something, between his eyes and hope for the best.

He was probably not going to hit anyone. He was pretty sure he was not that bad at darts, lack of actual meaningful practice aside. Taking a shot, he got close, but the dart still missed the balloon. His second dart was almost as close, both of them sliding by with little enough space that the balloon actually wobbled when the dart hit next to it. Unfortunately, that wasn't close enough to pop it. His third dart missed by a fairly wide margin, and he made a face. He had gotten so close! It wasn't even a question.

Loren was definitely getting back in line and trying again.

It wasn't even the stuffed animals at this point, but more a matter of pride.

That being said, his pride wasn't going to actually help him hit the balloons with the darts, so he needed to be focused when he tried again. He was determined to get at least one stuffed animal from these booths, even if he didn't particularly care which one at this point. The point was that he got at least one of them. The dog was his favourite, but it really did not actually matter. As long as he got one, he would be pleased.

Or so he told himself.

Either way, Loren got back up to the dart board with the balloons. Another cluster of darts, and it seemed like he wasn't going to really enjoy much more success this time around than he had before. He certainly didn't pop any balloons with darts. He knew he wasn't exactly a natural with it, but this was a little ridiculous. He wasn't that bad. Well, okay, maybe he was, because he couldn't really argue with results, but still. It was a little frustrating, if only because he watched one of the darts bounce off of a balloon without actually popping it, and still another hit the target just next to the balloon. Another inch to the right, and he would have popped the stupid thing.

As he got back in line to give it a third try, Loren squinted at it a little. He needed to start throwing a little to the right, he was pretty sure. He kept just barely missing it to the left...

...Okay, throwing a little to the right was... actually worse. Loren watched mutely as his darts went wider than they had before, none of them coming anywhere near a balloon. Had he tried too much to trend it to the right? That hadn't done him any good. Alright, the next go, he was going to just... throw it. Would the third time be the charm? Well, he could hope.

FINALLY! Maxine had popped another balloon! Praise be. She could finally relax a little. No more mental teakettle whistling.

And he misses again! No worries, he was pretty full on funnel cake and corn dogs so he couldnt be too mad.

Nathaniel meandered around the balloon pop, trying to see if this time his luck would change.

Back at it again! She honed in on a new balloon. First throw was a bit off, but the second finally hit its mark! Di hoped to keep the roll going and get a second balloon within the set... And a miss! Dang.

Another dollar, more darts. Daniel was silent, mind still on the fact his sister was out of hiscontact range.

And wehat if things got worse? At least Thomas was alive...

Sticking out her tongue Evren took aim at the balloon letting one of the darts fly she managed to pop the first balloon. Picking up the second one she threw it and it missed the balloon that she was aiming at. Her third try, however, she hit another balloon. "Aw man... I was so close." The giant stuffed animals would just have to be a fleeting dream. She was handed one of the smaller stuffed animals she laughed well at least this little one was cute. Ah, she had an idea for another outfit. Maybe she would work on it when she got home.

With a flick of her wrist for her first shot, she only nicked a ballon so it didn't pop, on the second flick she missed completely. But on her third flick, she managed to pop another balloon. Giving a huff that this she did worse this time around she accepted the prize that was given to her. Next time... maybe next timmmee.

While she managed to pop balloons the last two times... this time she failed spectacularly. Two of them managed to bounce off the balloon instead of popping them and the other hit a place that was already a popped balloon. "So much for my luck." She sighed. Maybe she should take a break from this game for awhile.

After taking the short break Evren came back to the balloon pop game for another three attempts at popping some balloons. Unfortunately, her throws were all off. Letting out a puff of breath she decided to mull over in her head on how to get back her luck from her earlier throws.

Returning back to the balloon pop game. Evren gave her money to the clerk to once again attempt to throw three more darts. But once again as she threw each one they all missed their target. "I'm beginning to think I should probably cut my losses on this game." She had managed to win at a couple other games as she walked around the fair. She decided to take another break and mull over what she should do.

Returning to the balloon pop game yet again Evren founder herself wondering why she kept coming back to torture herself. As she threw another three darts all missing their target she pondered if she should come back another time after this one. She decided she would continue to ponder this while she waited for her next turn.

Once again at the ballon pop stand and once again there were another three swishing sounds of darts being hurled at the balloons and once again Evren missed her targets.

Hmmm - maybe he was getting blunt darts, or the balloons were underfilled? Either way, Owen was pretty sure he was having more trouble with this than he had started out with. (And the balloons remained unpopped, either way. How many tickets had he gone through by this point? Too many, he knew that much!)

Another purchase of darts and she took her time in throwing them again, though she was a bit more forceful, which she really wasn't happy about. She wasn't happy she was getting frustrated with this...but how could she help it?

One squint and a few botched tries later, he managed to get a balloon popped. How about that!
