Zigaran Post 8

Zigaran gave a slight smile at Mnyiri's comment, nodding his head. That sounded about right he thought to himself, turning back to the Mystic Eshe, listening closely to what she was saying. After a moment his orange eyes got a bit wide and he found himself debating over what it was that he thought about their suggestion. Teaming up with the Earthlings? He found himself debating over what he thought about that. He hadn't really ever dealt with them before outside of his mother's family, trying to stick to Emeka whenever he could.

Cocking his head to one side he murmured, "That was unexpected I didn't..." His words trailed off, his head jerking to the side, watching as an Alkidike and an Elaria suddenly left the meeting. He blinked a couple times then said, "Huh, can't say I'm surprised but... wow." He could tell they weren't pleased with being here, probably as pleased as some Alkidike were to host them, but still he didn't expect them to just suddenly leave. Not that he cared one way or the other, "I guess we don't need them if we are going to be making allies of the Earthlings. Not like there are enough of them to make that much of a difference."

Rishima Post 7

Giving a slight smile Rishima said, "You could be right, but we need to stand strong as though everything will be alright. Aisha is with us after all." He said to Vermina in a soothing manner, not wanting for the arguing to get to the girl or leave her shaken. He wanted to reassure her if at all possible though it wasn't a skill that he excelled in he feared.

As the girl lifted a hand to rest it on his he gave her a nod, "It's alright, sister. We all get shaken at time." Pushing back to his feet he turned his attention to turn his attention back to the mystic in time to get the news about what they would be doing. They were going to get help from the Earthlings. He gave a humming sound, then a nod, "It seems that we turn to them when we need them, not to mention join up with them against various enemies. We really should make friends with them instead of ignoring them other then when we need them." That was just him though.

Turning his head he watched as some of the other group left the room, then shook his head. Perhaps they would cool off and return... or perhaps they would go home, "It's up to them and I see no reason to argue with them to stay if they didn't want to be here. If anything we need loyal, trust worthy sorts to battle against the Dretch. We don't need people that would just let those they didn't like die in the midst of a battle instead of aiding them."

Vermina post 8

'Aisha is with us.'

Mina found herself mentally floundering. These hybrids expressed such faith and devotion for their goddess... Why had she been taught to hate them? Why had her mother hated them? It was all so.... wrong.

Her eyes widened with surprise as the next step in the plan was revealed. Ask.. the earthlings to help? She could hardly believe her ears... Yet, she was not as upset as she had thought she would be. "They were able to stand against our warriors before. Maybe they will be just the leg we need to stand against the Dretch," she found herself saying. She could hear her mother screaming angrily in her mind, such as those storming out from the other side were. However... for the sake of lives...

Pruu post 8

Looking to the Matron as she finally called for some order, Pruu sighed slowly and felt herself calm a little. They would not have come if there was no plan to work together, after all. Could they just get to the point?

Unfortunately, the point came quite like an avalanche of stones. The breath was frozen in her chest, jaw tightening further. Her eyes widened with shock, breathlessly staring at the cluster of mystics. Allies... The earthlings... Her gaze focused back on the Matron and Nivalis. "Was... was this plan known before we left our homes?" she asked, though her voice was low with shock and a growing anger, doubtful to even be heard. First, they would ask the earthlings for help? Those scum that were below those of the Chibale weaklings? Those who the Elarians had spent their whole lives believing to be no better than grubs below the dirt? The ones their mothers had preached endlessly as being the slime that they would be conquering? Their enemy? Those earthlings?! A truce with those earthlings?

Watching a pair storm out from the hall, Pruu was sorely tempted to join them. What sort of insanity was this?! "Those beasts have no place at our side," she seethed simply. "I came to join my sisters and cousins to fight the Dretch, not to crawl to the earthlings to fight for us and trip over their bodies on the way." That was all an earthling would be good for... meat shields...

Danika - 7

Have you actually sat with an earthling to get to know them? Have you fought alongside one in the battlefield before determining how inferior they are? These were only a few of the questions that floating from the back of Danika's mind, but she stood silent as protests rose from the crowd and a few actually left the meeting hall. This was no place to get into an argument, not when the feelings of so many were already so tense. Surely to debate now would result in the clashing of blades. If only there had been another way to introduce the idea...some way to make them see the value in a truce of all the races. Danika's heart sank with sorrow as she realized how strongly hatred still ruled the decisions of others. Her toes curled up beneath the skirts that hung from her slim hips and she turned, the motion releasing some of the pent up feelings as her feet moved her closer towards Eshe, "Do we simply let them leave?" She murmured before glancing back to the crowd. It seemed that her mentor was in that mindset and with a deep sigh Danika realized that they couldn't twist anyone's arms in joining this battle.

Surely given time maybe they could cool off and review their decisions or if not they could go home and the rest would have to march on without them. She just hoped that if the earthlings did prove themselves by defeating the Dretch alongside the Alkidikes that something would shift. How could they continue to demean so many other races when time and time again Danika listened to their heroic actions? Not that Danika would voice such worries nor would she ever think that an Alkidike was beneath any earthling. It was just troublesome that when they needed aid others would rather storm out in anger than to accept the helping hand. Aisha...will we ever reach our cousins? Or would they forever be separated something far stronger than distance? Hatred was such a strong emotion, Danika could feel it in the air energizing even some of her own people who still stood at odds with the earthlings. They weren't happy but they wouldn't storm out either since they had already fought with the earthlings before and would not deny their aid. Begrudgingly or not when it came to the Dretch all capable warriors were needed, another reason that she was worried about those few that opted to leave.

Yet she had no choice but to appear calm as she studied those who remained, "Despite your reservations, I believe that we should give the earthlings a chance, they have fought before with us. I personally may have not had the experience but from the stories I have heard I am willing to give them a chance. If it will save my Sisters and get revenge for those who can no longer be saved then I am wiling to fight alongside an earthling." It was a bold declaration but one that she spoke truly, the truth shining in her gaze as she stared across the sea of faces, "For those who cannot then I suggest going home and reflecting upon things. We cannot make you fight with us, but we will gladly accept any Sister who is willing to fight. We may not join with the earthlings immediately but I'm sure that Jahaur will be open for those wishing to train and strengthen their blades before we face the Dretch, for those who need to go home then go. There is still time before we march for any battles." She glanced towards Eshe who gave a slight nod to confirm. Danika wasn't certain of all the details but she did at least want to let the others know that they would be welcome here should they opt to stay closer to Chibale. She just prayed Aisha would keep them safe and that the Dretch wouldn't find what they were looking for right away.

Because if a big attack happened now while they were still so divided...well Danika did not know how bright that future looked. It definitely sent a shiver of dread down her spine just to imagine it and the young mystic felt her heart twist as a silent plea left her, please Aisha guard and guide us.

|| Alkidike/Elaria IC ||

There would be those who were angry. Eshe had accepted that as soon as they had invited their exiled Sisters and their blooms to this meeting. It did not stop her from glancing towards the Matron as a few stormed out, something that even had the Matron’s lips tightening in a frown. Even if there were disagreements and hatred -as even her blood boiled at the idea of working with those disgusting little creatures who plagued the land- there was a certain degree of behavior expected at a gathering and this was something she would not forget. The Matron glanced towards Eshe, “What do you suggest we do next then if we must work with...earthlings?” She hissed, her frustrations obvious and contrasting to the serenity that the other mystic was exuding.

“I suggest we focus on the true enemy, the Dretch.” Replied Eshe loudly as she began to address the alkidike and remaining elaria as a whole. ”We will send an envoy to express our intentions to the earthlings. With time we shall move forward to meet them and shall devise a plan. It may take time but we will coordinate with them and plan an attack on the Dretch. Everyone should be involved.” She looked to the Matron, who she knew would not be happy about the idea, but it was their best chance to make this work. ”We should include as many of our Sisters and Cousins as we can.” She addressed this to the Matron and Nivalis, but also to the rest of the audience as well. ”We’ll form a temporary alliance with them, as best as we can until this is over.” She added the end, knowing that while their Alkidike didn’t mean the earthlings ill will, the Matron and those from Zinris couldn’t be held to the same ideals, and she wouldn’t be the one to force them to, “For now those who wish to stay in Jahaur to prepare themselves with our Sisters may feel free and those who need to return to their...home may do so.” If one wanted to call anything other than Chibale home, “It will take time to prepare to fight the Dretch and when the time is right we shall move. For those who wish to rejoin us by then we will gladly accept their aid and for those who would rather make their stand elsewhere I wish you the best.” May Aisha watch over them despite the hatred which controlled them.

With that decided, the meeting was dismissed and the crowd flooded out of the meeting hall with a mixture of feelings. The tension would linger, many holding tightly to their weapons as they passed those who did not agree with their ways, and Eshe could only pray to Aisha that something would change to ease the wounds dividing the Sisters. Until then she could only move forward with those willing to prepare for the upcoming meeting to plan the war against the Dretch, the meeting would be the largest one in the history of Tendaji, and perhaps one of the most important.

Orpheus Solon
Last from Mnyiri x3

Mnyiri ll 7

"I...had thought it might turn out this way, but then the elaria came so I wasn't for sure if we were even going to ask them for help."
It wasn't as if the alkidike and earthlings hadn't fought side by side before. So at first, Mnyiri had thought it only natural that the mystics might reach out to them, until word of their extremists cousins coming to visit had surfaced. Now...she could only watch as the discussion fizzled away.

"It would have been nice for them to do something good for a change, but whatever; it's one less headache to worry about." An envoy, hrm? Yes, because that sounded like such a good idea. How many earthlings had lost their lives fighting the extremists? And now they were supposed to welcome a group of them in their lands with open arms? "I'm not saying we shouldn't talk to the earthlings, but maybe...keep them here." She made a vague gesture to all the angrier bugs in the room.

For now she would just wait. It's all she could do, really; wait and prepare. "I'm...going to get Mvua before he bites one of them. He'll snap as soon as he sees them leaving." Passing Zigaran a light smile, she blended through the crowd, making her way outdoors to where her radaku waited. True to form he was growling at each and every elaria that left, but he remained seated, which was something of a miracle. He would have his turn one day, just not today.

Pyrrha ll 7

Working with earthlings?

The downpour of anger and confusion came as no surprise to Pyrrha. They had been raised to believe that earthlings were the root of all evil; the reason why Aisha had been tainted and left to rot in Chibale. And now they were being asked to fight side by side with them? It was such an off the wall concept that Pyrrha had to wonder if she'd thought of it herself. But no, Pyrrha was a lot of things, but an earthling supporter wasn't one of them. Though she didn't actively seek to harm them, she would be just as quick to dismiss the lesser beings as her sisters. To Pyrrha an earthling was akin to a pet that had grown too smart for it's own good.

When the anger reached a crescendo Pyrrha bowed her head and slipped out. The meeting was over now, and there was little reason for her to stay. She needed to be away from all of it for a while, and taking a little walk around Jauhar might do wonders for clearing out her head.

Namira post 7

Her ears were still hot with anger by the time the hall began to empty. Arms crossed and posture stiff, her antennae twitched with irritation as she watched the half alk and earthling lovers pass by. She was unsure how many of her clan would be staying and who amongst them would be going back home. The whole meeting had felt like a failure and an insult. She tried to reach out to some of the strongest of their group. She hadn't seen the matron or mystic leave yet, they had seemed quiet, what were they planning to do if the rest of them left? She was fairly certain Naqenni would be leaving for home too.
"Pyrrha, Pruu" she broke her statuesque posture to approach them, "What do you make of this? We aren't really going to stay to fight with earthlings, are we? Our dead would be rolling in their graves if they saw us take up arms with those creatures." She wanted to leave this place and this situation. Her and the elaria were proud people who hold themselves to higher standards. She needed reassurance that she wouldn't just be leaving her mystic in this wretched place.

Zigaran Post 9

"This should be interesting." He mused, wanting to go and talk with his mother, Mahaut now. She was a stanch supporter of the Alkidike and Aisha, but at the same time she has an Earthling for a wife. That didn't mean that she was a ally to the Earthlings by any stretch of the imagination but it at least meant she might be more willing to consider such plan the others might.

Glancing over at the Elaria as Mnyiri spoke he couldn't help but to nod slowly, "Yeah, it doesn't strike me as something that is going to go over well with them." After a moment of thought he found himself wondering if they were even going to be around come tomorrow. Would they just pack up and leave as two of them members already had? He felt that he would rather they did. He'd sooner trust an Earthling then the Elaria, they were here only because of self interest and the moment things didn't go their way they started to throw temper tantrums like a bunch of younglings. He was almost embarrassed for them.

Glancing over at Mnyiri again as she said she was going to go he said, "Stay safe, Mnyiri, and let's talk again sometime." Giving a grin that wasn't normal for him he said, "I could always go for another duel if you're ever interested." He gave her a little wave before he trotted over to where his mother was talking with some other Alkidike in hushed tones, wanting to see what she thought of everything as soon as possible. What he learned from her would help him going forward after all.

Ceylinae Post 7

So that was that? It seemed as though the decision about working with the Earthlings had been made ages before their arrival. Did they think of those tiny, weak things as being more important to them then actual warriors? Those that were born and raised to fight against things like the Earthlings? She found herself chewing on her thumbnail as she left the now near empty gathering hall in a nervous manner. She didn't want to let any weakness show but for the moment she couldn't help but to chew her nails.

What should they do about this? Should they fight it? Should they tell the others off and just go home? Should they fight because there was still the problem with the Dretch. Those things were still around, they were still causing problems, they would continue to attacks Zimris because it was those like the Elaria that they wanted for their... their sacrifices. The words disgusted her, that those monsters would dare to use her sisters and cousins as though they were mere animals to be sacrificed on an alter.

Spotting some of the others from her group, including Pruu and Pyrrha, as well as Naqenni and that Alkidike from before that had stormed out she found herself drifting their way. It didn't seem as though any of them were in that good a mood, were they? Not that she could really blame them. Still, it seemed as though their anger might be getting to them off tracks. She walked over and found herself saying, "I think we should do it. The Earthlings are weak, they're worthless, and not worth our time... but they have numbers. Why not make use of their numbers? What was it called, cannon fodder?" She had no idea what a 'cannon' was but she'd heard the term used before and definitely knew what fodder was used for.

"If the rest of you, if our Mystic, decides that working with them isn't worth our time I will follow. Still, I think we should at least consider that they could be a useful tool to help protect our sisters and cousins, those from Zimris." Their numbers were still too small and she'd rather sacrifice a hundred Earthlings instead of even one of them.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 27, 2018 5:09 pm

Pruu post 9

Coordinate an attack with the earthlings. Not against the earthlings, but with the earthlings. Pruu's body stiffly turned to walk out as the meeting was dismissed. So, that was it. The Chibale folk would be asking the earthlings for help. Those who called Yael home could do what they wanted? How was this any good? So much for uniting for the right cause! How could the Matron expect them to fight alongside the bunch of dim-witted worms that the earthlings were?

With the open sky above her head again, Pruu was able to go back to her more reserved self. She had gotten a little hot-headed in there... At the sound of her name, she looked at the cousin Alk and present sisters and slowly walked over to speak. Cey seemed to be of a similar mindset to herself. The earthlings would just be another target for the Dretch... "What honor is there in pretending to want their aid when our plan is to eradicate them later?" Pruu was the type to go straight for a swift kill. No toying with her prey. This felt like toying. She paused a second, looking around at her family. Family... She did not want to lose any more of them. Many already had been lost... "There is time though. When the call comes to act... perhaps something will have changed. For now, I will be returning home unless otherwise needed. Those back home need to know what has transpired here."

Rishi's final post <3

Rishima Post 8

As everyone started to filter out of the gathering hall Rishima stood back and watched them go. There were so many people gathered, so many opinions, not all of the pleasant. It seemed to be the norm for these sorts of meetings though, it seemed there would always be those opposed to those like Rishima. He'd gotten used to it to a degree but having to deal with the full brunt of it from the Matron had left him a bit exhausted. A shame the woman was such a bitter snake or else he might ask her about Aselia. If anyone knew the fate of the young mystic it would be the Matron... but she'd never speak with him.

Sighing a bit he finally picked up his ornate walking stick, turning to Vermina, and said, "I need to be on my way. I have to decide what it is that I wish to do going forward and I need to speak with a few people about these events." Did he even want to fight? Was there a point to one like him showing up to the battle against the Dretch? He was a bit tired of fighting and having to deal with such hateful people as the Matron and her followers wasn't something that sat well with him. If a few key people went, then he might tag along, but as it stood he was fine leaving such battles to the younger generation.

The side he had to consider was if he trusted leaving the Elaria to run amok. It felt like even being near them would be akin to having a blade at his throat at all times. They were dangerous and he didn't think that Mystic Eshe thought it through when she allowed them to come here. Those sent to Zimris had been sent there for a reason, even if he hated that Aselia had gone along with them. They were dangerous people, on the same level as the Dretch in some ways, and he didn't trust that they would stop at just killing the Dretch while they were here. They might very well move on to the followers of Aisha and the Earthlings for all they knew.

It was mistake to allow them back, one he had to pray to Aisha didn't come back to bite them in the backside.

Vermina post 9

As the meeting ended, Mina's eyes locked onto the entryway. One last chance to see if her mother was there.... but there was no sign of the woman. Brow knitting, she looked over at the hybrid and gave a small nod. As it was.... she had no reason to linger now. Her aunt was preparing to leave, and her heart was heavy. There was much ahead of them. She had hoped... "Safe travels to you," she murmured to the hybrid as he left. She needed something to sooth her frazzled nerves. Maybe she would do some sewing...

Namira last post 8

She hadn't gotten the response she was looking for and felt a little disappointed.
"I think being so close to them has dulled my senses," she muttered, "I need to return home to reflect. This trip has been beyond stressful." She had been grinding her teeth without realizing and took in a deep breath as she massaged her jaw muscles. "I know the dretch are a threat, but if we go this far from home again with such low numbers we will be leading ourselves to slaughter."
The only thing she did know, was that if she had to fight the dretch with earthlings or hybrids, Dretch blood would not be the only thing wetting her blade. No, the elaria had to be smarter than this. This was a mistake, but one they could recover from. Namira stepped away from the others to make her way out of the village. She needed to breathe air that didn't stink of hybrids.
