Azura didn't say much as the group started walking towards the cave, though she had a lot to think over. Perhaps in an odd way Cecil and Scylla had a bit more in common then they thought, or were willing to admit. Cecil had become a lot more angry and violent since his injury. Based on what Adam had told her he wasn't the only one struggling to deal with the fallout from the bandit attack. They just had difference ways of dealing with it. Unfortunately there was no time for grief. Hopefully they would be able to keep the peace until the mission was completed, but she would be lying if she didn't admit she was afraid what Cecil might do once they found the bandits.
The light from the entrance started to fade, so Azura started to dig around in the small bag of supplies she brought. After the bomb in the gym....well it was a good lesson in the six P's. Prior preparation prevents piss poor performance. Though needing to balanced with not being weighed down she only brought what she thought might be essential. A rope, some gauze and bandages, a water bottle and most importantly at the moment, a couple of flashlights. Based on the conversation it seemed like she was the only one who thought to bring them, but she didn't think badly of the rest. Everyone had a lot of on their minds, and that was what being part of a team was all about. Making up for each others weaknesses. Finally as Ridley made her statement about being strong as a team, Azura's hand closed around the flashlight and she flicked the switch while pulling out of her bag. “I have an extra one.” She said softly, mostly to prevent her voice from carrying down the mine. “The light might give away our position.” She warned as she pulled out a second one for someone else to use. “Giving away our position is better than accidentally falling down a mine shaft however.”
Adam walked through the dark among his peers listening out for anything other than their footsteps. Growing up where he came from darkness was nothing foreign or new. But this darkness was a whole different level. He was still cool with that He heard a new sound. Something sliding and readied his stance. He heard as everyone continued and listened more closely. It was just someone sliding their hand on the wall. He knocked himself in the head for his foolishness. He thought about how he hadn't brought anything that would help in this situation and almost kicked himself until he heard a long sigh. He recognized the voice and position of the person and swung his arm over her shoulders. "Hey, we all messed up. Don't worry about it. We in this boy together." he reassured her. He figured she was thinking the same thing as him and he wanted to keep the morale up.
Suddenly, he heard a click and his eyes squinted a bit."Ooh. Shiny!" was his first thought. "Huh, light?" he said as his eyes focused to the figure holding the magic contraption that shines. "Azura!" he said freeing shoulders from his arms. He reached over to Azura and picked her up happily. "I had a feeling you'd come in clutch! Thinking for the group and thinkin' ahead. Gone 'head, girl!" he said with a big smile. He finally put her down once he realized... personal space. "I'm sorry. I have a problem with that. I'm a bit of a dunce when it comes to personal space." he apologized. Now they were at less of a disadvantage. "Things are looking up!" he thought out loud. He continued to walk deeper into the cave with renewed vigor.
Cecil continued to move along with them slowly as they now had a source of light. His eyes slowly adjusted before he came to a halt and began to look at the walls of the cave to see if something was off. He could hear the others talking before he soon said, "The only time we shouldn't stick together is if they have grenades." He told them as a small joke to Ridley's otherwise morale boosting phrase. The light was indeed comforting in this cave of darkness, sometimes avoiding a direct shine however would definitely help to hide his power from the bandits, just incase he could hold a bit of surprise.

Onyxia rolled her eyes at Adams comment. Though true she usually had other gear. Flipping a couple switches on her shield, the flasher turned into a regular flashlight. Position revealed the shield took a more forward position. ”Hardy har har Adam. Usually have better gear for this stuff.” Sighing she kept walking, scanning the area closely. Looking to the ceiling for any possible traps in the dark. ”Just be careful with the ceiling. We don’t want this collapse on us without an exit strategy.”
Scylla turned around forgetting that not everyone had eco-location. Her eyes were closed and she could basically see fine. In fact probably better since she could see further with sound than her eyes. The flashlight was turned on and she still had her eyes closed. Azura was right but there were two options here and it was up for everyone to decide if they valued stealth more. She did notice Adams lack of personal space, she had gone through the same thing only one time. "Just punch him hard enough to send him flying across the room, Haven't had a problem with hugs since. Isn't that right Adam." She gave him a smile then figured she may as well say what she was going to say. "So we have two choices here. I did forget that you guys don't have eco-location like me. So we can use the light, or if you guys trust me. We can rely on my eco-location to guide us. I can guide everyone easily and it would be more effective than just one flashlight. Not only that but we would remain stealthy. It's up to you guys. Either way, I'm going to continue to use it to scout not to mention its better than my eyes." Her voice has this distinct feature of not projecting throughout the whole cave and instead only in the direction of the teams. Clearly her semblance at work, it seemed she did value stealth right now.

The lights clicked on, brought by Azura and Oxynia. The cave walls were held together by rotting boards, the smell of old would reach your noses. They were cut in a typically square configuration. The ground itself seemed to have some tracks on it, seemingly for a mine cart. However, as the group went forward, Scylla, Adam, and Ridley would fall into a trap, dropping them 30 feet down onto stone.
After hearing Scylla, he subconciously started rubbing his head. "Yeh. For some reason ya boy notices when he's in Scylla's space. Not sure why." he smiled not remember getting hit, but the result was achieved. "The only thing I remember is Scylla had to jump very high to meet my eyes." he laughed. He sniffed the air a bit and rotting old wood met his nose. "Ain't the worse thing I've smelled. But it ain't the best." he thought. He noticed some tracks in the ground. "Hmm." he pondered. He looked behind and around himself and the group to see if there was a minecart anywhere near. There was none. "Yo, this place is active. We got a track system and I haven't seen an abandoned cart since we got in this joint." he pointed out. They continued and suddenly their footing disappeared. "Crap!" he exclaimed. He fell through the air barely catching himself on the stone. He winced a bit as he landed a bit wrong on his right side. He looked up to see Scylla and Ridley falling and made a quick attempt to catch them. Of course he would let the guitar freefall because of it's immense weight. Adam still doesn't know how she carries that thing. He jumped from the wall ignoring the pain in his side and reached out for both of the at an attempt to catch them safely. "I gotcha!" he said. Once everything was said and done he'd remember that he was with the two who seemed to be...less that favoring of each other. "Peacekeeper mode...activated." he thought to himself with an internal smile.

Cecil's eyes managed to adjust very well to the sudden illumination of light, revealing they were in a proper mineshaft and had not bumped into an abandoned cart. This wasn't good, it didn't sit will with Cecil as he put 2 and 2 together, but it did help that Adam managed to keep his calm composure. He slowly began to walk as he was ahead of the group still, but he could hear something move behind him, he turned around to the sources of light as he could see their allies fall down a sudden pit. He moved over carefully so as to not fall down it as he looked down. He couldn't see that well and looked to Onyxia and Azure, the two members he was left with and who had the lights. He motioned for Azure to come over as he pointed down. "They fell, shine a light down so we can see if they're alright, and if they're in trouble."

Onyxia heard the collapse and looked to the sound. Peeking down the drop with her light. "I noticed it too Adam. But right now we got three people who dropped thirty feet." Not carrying rope and doubting anyone else was she thought for a moment. "You three want to form a human chain going up we can to make one going down. Otherwise we got to fine another solution." Looking to the thought a moment. Moving down to thirty five she knelt, ripping the railing apart with her semblance. Going down every two feet and making climbing holes. "It going to be heavy but if we can lift it and slowly lower it, we have a make shift ladder."

Walking through the dark, Ridley was surprised to feel someone's arm drape over her shoulders. What didn't surprise her was to find out it was Adam. She might have punched the poor guy, purely out of instinct and the fact they were all made a bit jumpy by the pitch blackness encompassing. However, she managed to held herself back, as the action was casual and friendly enough. Definitely not the move of one of the bandits. A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips at his words. He really did have a knack for cheering people up. That and he had figured out exactly where her mind had went just by a single sigh. "I just might have to keep you around." She teased, nudging him gently in the side with her elbow. "Thanks, Adam." She added after a moment, more seriously than her previous comment.
It wasn't long after that a light clicked on behind them. Adam's arm draped from her shoulders and she turned around to see him envelop Azura in a rib-crushing hug. A wide grin spread on Ridley's lips as she noticed the sorce of the light. Two flashlights held in her hand. "Brilliant, Azura! What would we do without you?" She could answer that one. Stumble blindly through a pitch lack cave. This was definitely the preferable option. Content to continue on her way now that they had some light, Ridkey turned back around only to be hit square in the nose with a very pungent smell. Rotting wood mixed with the other damp smells of the cave. "Well then. Isn't that delightful?" She asked sarcastically, wrinkling her nose up in disgust. After a moment she let out a soft laugh, shrugged her shoulders, and took a step forward.
The others weren't long to follow. Everyone seemed in much better spirits now that they could see where they were going. With the newfound light they could also see the cave in more detail. There seemed to be some tracks on the ground, but bo signs of any mine carts, and as Adam pointed out, lead to the idea that this mineshaft wasn't as abandoned and inactive as they thought. It was becoming increasingly clear that the bandits were using it. For how long, it was hard to say. However, she didn't have much time to think on it, as just a few moments later, Adam dropped from sight in front of her. Rushing forward, concern clear on her face, the stone beneath her soon turned to air and she was falling. She wasn't the only one either. She heard a thud and a pained groan from below. She was expe ting to meat the same fate, but 8nstead felt an arm close around her. Adam's arm.
With his help she was able to steady herself and gain her footing again. Turning her holding gaze to him, she squinted through the dark to make sure he seemed okay. A little banged up maybe, but nothing seemed too terribly out of place. "Thanks, Adam. I really owe you one." It was at that moment that she noticed who had fallen behind her. Scylla. As if falling into a pit wasn't bad enough, being stuck down here with her definitely didn't brighten matters. The only brightside was that Adam was here too. Otherwise, this pit might actually become a death trap. Scylla didn't really seem like the type of person Ridley would get along with under normal circumstances stances. Their personalities clashed. However, after the argument outside this dank cave, they weren't exactly on the best of terms. Choosing to ignore it and put that all aside for now, Rudley tilted her chin up, squinting through the dark towards the top of the pit. "Well... that was fun." She stated, sarcasm woven into her voice once more. "But how are we going to get out of here?"

To say the least the fall was unexpected. should have figured from the smell. Rotting wood was never great to stand on. Regardless Scylla quickly did something to stop from falling. She had no way of knowing how far that fall was. Her body basically moved on its own. She spun around in the air with her guitar getting a rotation in and smashing the spikes into the wall. The guitar stuck into the wall and her fall was broken as she now hung from her guitar. Unfortunately she had time to only save herself. The other two would have to save themselves as well. She slowly pulled herself up onto her guitar which stuck into the wall giving her a horizontal platform on which to stand. She then looked down and shrugged. It seemed the drop wasn't deadly, though the distance could break something. She seemed to be about halfway down the hole. She looked up then back down. It seemed as though the two down there were fine. "Well if they have a rope up there then it will be easy to climb out. If not then I'll have to make footholds so we can climb out. You guys can make them down there though if someone has a semblance that can help out it will be easier." Well she was glad she left her friends at the entrance. With stuff like this good chance, they'd miss anyone actually escaping.

Cecil could see how well the light travelled down the shaft to where they could see what was going on. He looked to see Onyxia working on making a make-shift shaft before he soon oved to be on his knees. He held back a wince before he set the reiterpallasch down and with a flick of a wrist, he summoned up a bow of pure solid ice. He took aim with it and began to shoot a few into the walls just around Adam and Ridley seeing as how one was the main holding force while the other barely held on. "We're working on a ladder as we speak, the ice should be strong enough for you two to climb up to make it easier for when we bring the ladder down." He told them, hoping that they didn't mind the cold of both the area's mine-shaft and holding ice objects.
Cecil, thanks to his scholastic learnings, has some knowledge of how Ice works, magic or not, he had to ensure he kept shooting arrows for them to use in order to replenish. Sadly, he was not giving Scylla any arrows to work with due to one reason... light as she may be, his arrows would not be able to work with her guitar if she made the climb. He looked back to Onyxia as he soon said, "I would suggest we hurry, the hole seemed pretty deep that it could take one's aura on impact." He told her calmly, even though he knew the severity of the situation, his eyes slowly gazing to Azure for her input on the situation.

Azura squeaked in surprise as Adam picked her up. “I...uh...thanks?” She said while blushing furiously, a little uncertain how to respond to the sudden compliments. Hopefully no one noticed in the dim light. After all, even though the flashlight was a huge improvement, it wasn't like she had the light pointed at herself. “I'm glad I could be helpful.” She added after being let go and gaining some composer. It turned out she wasn't the only one with a light source as Onyxia's shield suddenly lit up. No one took her up on the extra flashlight, so Azura tucked it back into her bag for safe keeping while they continued down the mine. “Oh...it's okay really.” She wasn't really sure how to respond to Scylla's suggestion to punch Adam, but it wasn't something Azura would do. Adam seemed to take it all in stride though, laughing along. What a strange team.
One second they were walking along, discussing the oddity of the mine and the smell of the rotting wood and the next three of their members vanished down a hole. Azura quickly ran to the edge and shined the light down, next to Onyxia and her shield. Thankfully it looked like all three were okay. Now they just needed to get them out. Before she could say anything Onyxia ran off and started ripping up track. “I...have a rope in my bag.” She began softly, not really wanting to ruin Onyxia's efforts. “Also some water and some bandages.” She added as she fished the rope out. Hopefully they wouldn't need the last. “Maybe we can use the metal track as an anchor to tie the rope to while the other climb up?”
Onyxia heard rope and gave a sigh of relief. "I didn’t bring rope but glad someone did. Let’s tie it off and lower it down." Aiming the light at the track end she kept looking around. "Let’s do it quickly. We still got a mech somewhere and that’s bad news if it rolls up." She kept her weapon at the ready. This would be very bad if it came now. "Bet ready to climb up people."
"Whatchu talkin' about? You don't owe me a thing, girl." he said as he smiled a bit. "We're teammates. I'll look out for all of you." he said. But the one who looked out for herself was above them both. "Nice moves, Scylla!" he said. He took his arm from around Ridley trying to respect personal space. Wincing a bit as he did so. "May have bruised a rib." he thought. Adam overehard someone had rope in their bag. "Are you serious?! Man, Azura, you're the best!" he said to her. He approached Ridley and placed her on his back. "Hold on tight. We'll get outta here faster if we go up at the same time." he smiled back to her. The hole was pretty deep and his side hurt. Alot. But it was nothing he couldn't handle. "You're pretty light." he said with a chuckle. He was nearing the top and with one more pull they were both outta the hole. "Well, that was fun. Thinking someone doesn't want us here, peeps." he pointed out. He cracked his knuckles and smiled. "All the more reason to push forward." he said in a darker tone. He was still upset that he didn't know what happened to Maron and he was gonna make them pay for making him worry. "She saved me and now I don't know what's going on with her. Gotta take this out on someone." he thought. He lightened up a bit and looked to Azura, Cecil and Onyxia. "Thanks, fam. Wouldn't know what I would've done without you guys." he smiled.
