"HERE!" A blast from Deus past showed itself in Cami Ryland's newest hairstyle. Most of the people in the room wouldn't have remembered that Mimsy Kercher had it once upon a time when she was new to the island but the teen had seen it on her sister's statue and fallen in love.

The rest of Cami was completely her from the cute saying on her t-shirt to the tattered jeans and bright bracelets and necklaces that were in multitude around her wrists and neck. She was also carrying what looked suspiciously like a tupperware full of brownies as she followed the voice.

Beaming at both Iskander and Tommy she held out a hand. "HI. Cami here. Nice to meet you! Want a brownie?"

Suspicion kept Vash's eyebrows knitted, and he looked around the room again like he was expected the second shoe to drop on this prank. Instead, his eyes lighted on Dottie -- and her date -- for a long moment. The sight fueled him, especially considering the expression on his face, and he was able to relax just a smidge as he turned his attention back on Elio.

"Uh huh. Sure. I think we should sit on the floor, though, this pillow s**t is too ********..." He paused a moment, digging for the right word. The headphones, hanging loose from the neck of his shirt, still thrummed with music, just a faint buzz. "...I dunno, like a harem scene or something."

"Yes, I'm Merric Cassel," he said, not quite sure what exactly the smile on Ezekiel - Zeke's - face meant. It made him feel slightly on edge, his fingers twisting around the ring on his finger, trying not to think too much about what exactly he was doing here.

"Oh - Roswell?" he said "Yes, ah, Roswell is a - a friend of mine, at least, the one we're apparently paired with is, Thomas Roswell. He's - he's a good man."

He wasn't supposed to talk about his divisions or anything, and Roswell was around somewhere, so until he showed up, Merric had to make small talk, which sounded like a great deal of work that he wasn't used to. He took a breath and said, "I, ah, yes, I...did you - know what this was when you signed up?"

At this point Henry wouldn't have minded the cheek kissing, but rules were rules. He'd just grin sheepishly as she stepped back from the almost greeting, resisting the urge to shove his hands into his pockets, and hoping his cheeks weren't too dark from the compliment. "Thanks, you both look nice, too."

Luka might have been who Henry was paired with first, but It seemed the point of the evening was to switch partners often. There was a fairly high chance that he'd find himself paired with Lena before too long, which suited him just fine. He wasn't sure how willing the girls would be to actually splitting up for their 'dates', but Henry, at least, didn't mind interacting with the both of them at the same time. It was how he'd met them, after all.

Whether or not Lena's date would be as accommodating...

"Mr. Callahan?" It didn't sound familiar, and he shook his head, mouth opening to offer to help her find him, only to have the person in question announce themselves.

And turn out out to be another girl. Names were tricky. Especially here.

Well that was good, Merric would know their third when he saw him, and that'd remove any potential guess work. Not really a problem, especially considering the setting, but it would save a bit of time, and with a name like speed dating, that was something that was going to be in very short supply for them.

A brow arched at Merric's question, or rather the unsure lead up into the question, but the latter was what he responded to. "Mmhmm, It seemed like an entertaining way to spend the evening." He chuckled, and found himself wishing there were some kind of refreshments available if for no other reason than to occupy his hands. "You didn't?" His head tipped very subtly to one side, birdlike. "What were you expecting?" It could have been a biting question, but his tone lacked any edge to it.

Perfectly pleasant, at least for now.

Having as of yet not seen anyone with the name 'Nora' written on their name tags, Soleil had decided to make herself comfortable in the pillow and blanket heap where a few other's had made themselves comfortable. She spotted Ever talking to a tall, lanky fellow lounging not too far off, and there was Lysander as well. She didn't know the scruffy looking man with his eyes glued to his phone, but the girl trying to talk to him she recognized from the dare or dare game. Dottie, she thought was her name.

With a thoughtful hum the french Canadian tipped her head to peer out into the room, curious who else had shown up, if there were anyone present she could look forward to spending some time with, whether she had already met them previously or not.

"Nothing ******** happened to me. Hell, I didn't even need any medical attention at the end of it. Not for a lack of trying," she hastily added, lest her fellow trainee thought she was some sort of cowardly chicken s**t who hid for most of the orientation hell.

"And uuuuuuuuuuuugh, this whole place is one giant s**t-show. I mean, yeah you got a lotta hotties around, but with the shitty-a** weather, it's making me moist in all the wrong ways." Brittney complained, all sense of propriety and filter gone the instant the conversation got rolling. "How about you? Anything or anyone keeping you up nights?"

Prolixity
