Thalion:

[ Pelinore ]
The B'alam looked away from the still form of his other half, his eyes somehow more dull. It was as if a bucket of water had been tossed over the spark that had been there once, leaving only a smouldering ember behind. At first, he was hopeful that he would be dismissed, or added to this hunting party, but it seemed that his general had other plans...

Grab...the body?! There was no ceremony or reverence for the fallen in the tah's voice, just cold indifference. It was as if she was no more than a lump of meat that they feared would spoil in the sunlight. Anger replaced grief and he clung to it, knowing the emotion to be far safer than grief right now. There would be a time for tears- but anger... he could feel his blood slowly starting to boil as outrage screamed louder than despair. His mind flooded with thoughts- stupid, reckless ones - and he was forced to once again bring his mind back to the little idols sitting in his den, waiting for him to return. He had to... he couldn't be the soldier, he couldn't be the husband- he had to be a father now...and as a father he had to do everything in his power to return home to his family, no matter what.

Clinging to that, he took a slow breath and padded over to the downed body of his other half. Her eyes were still open, her mouth still agape. With a paw, he closed her eyes, quietly willing her to find some peace with their weaver. /I hope you can forgive me one day-/, he leaned down and gathered her up, his mind screaming as he felt the unnatural bend in her neck and the limp, lifeless, but still warm body against his. Swallowing a thick, ridged lump in his throat, he shifted himself so the nan's body laid over his back. With all the enthusiasm as a tah on his way to his own execution, he approached his general.
[ Shen ]
He watched the dark-spotted B'alam approach, but dismissed it for other matters. He reached out with his telephathy and gathered up his cloak to toss it back around his shoulders and secure it around his neck. "Kyle, you will handle the offense. I will find Smaug and have him begin our defenses... if this traitor has a connection there may be a threat to us here at home. All of you- you are my eyes and ears within this tribe. If even a whisker seems out of place, I want to be the first to know. We have cubs to think of, we have mates, we have a home, a nation, a future to protect."

He flicked his tail and turned back towards the city proper. He had work to do.

Zakaix:

[Smaug] "Yes my Lord,"he blantently stated. There really wasnt much else to state. Though weather or not if he was frustrated didnt show in his voice. It was clear though across the face hidden by the helm that he wore. After Lord Shen had spoken fir a second time he turned to those in his own unit. "Pyre unit break time is over, lets return to our training!" His voice boomed out. Before anything else could happen that would ruin his reputation they would leave. Giving a low bow to Lord Shen he turned on his paws and led his unit away frim Kyles training grounds. Detrmination now on his eyes as he was going to prove that he and his unit were better then kyles. He could and would not be a disapointment to his lord.
(So smaugs unit is leaving before the whole this with iokaste goes down)

Seruta:

[Yahui] felt her ears roll back and her eyes squinted a bit at the sound of the body hitting rock. It brought her back to the present and out of her thoughts long enough to turn and look at the form fall limp. It was a visually painful thing watch, seeing her neck skewed in such a way. She sighed softly and flicked her tail, turning her gaze again on the soldiers watching in their silence. Pelinore up in front next to his commander. From this angle she couldn't see his face, but she could tell that there was turmoil roiling in that Tah as he watched. She idly wondered why that was but again thought it best to wait and approach him about it later... if she could.

If she heard correctly, his unit was planning on heading out soon anyways. Ears perked forward to listen to Kyle command his troops. She purred faintly and turned her head a bit to address Forge with a soft smile. "Looks like you're getting some work after all, Tah Forge." She didn't know Forge enough to notice the pipe had lost it's smolder and take any sort of warning or alarm by it. @RadicalDreamer

In a blink, Forge was brought back to the moment at paw. Dark tail flick and inadvertently cast a puff of soot in the air.

The pipe wiggled a little in his maw as his fangs and lips clinched to grasp it from falling from his maw.

"Hmmm." Rumbled from the Tah as a ember orb slipped over to Yahui. He cocked a disgruntled brow at her, as his thoughts went over the murmer of words he had head. His own thoughts and the sound of the Nan's neck snapping was like the loud clammor of hammer on steel. With Shen's over powering voice drowning out any other sense of thought.

Yahui'a words slowly registered in his mind as they worked past the smoke in his thoughts. The aching of his own scars dulled once more. His firey claws relinquished the earth under him....

Work...right. His own place of solace

Taking in a slow breath, Forge tried to pulled the ember in his pipe to life once more. The homemade tool remained dull and failed to answer his demand. Eyes took a glance at the unused tools, to slowly look over at the cluster of emotions behind him.

Shen's order's still rang loudly in the air. A 'hunting party'. More where desired to be killed...

Dull smoldering eyes peered at the lifeless Nantlil, that lay on the back of a nameless Tah.

"I'm a blacksmith, not a gravedigger...." Forge let his words fall heavily in the dust of his paws and gather with the ash left by his pipe.

With that the dark sooty b'alam took his leave from the training grounds.(edited)

[Yahui] tilted her head a bit. The soot covered B'alam did not appear to be himself... or perhaps she just didn't know him enough to understand his odd response? Frowning the Crimson Nan turned her red gaze back to the soldiers as they started to shuffle off to their duties and she rose in a stretch back to a stand. Her tail gave a small flick to shake off the dirt from it and she looked back at Forge with some slight concern.

She was likely one of the few that understood his standing and she began to assume it was because of this he seemed to excuse himself in such a way. She watched him leave then shifted her gaze to watch the rest take their leave. Finally, red orbs settled upon the fading figure of their leader, Tah Shen, and she sighed softly to herself, turning her figure to follow him back into the city. She had some more thinking to do as well as a few Paroos to entice with sweet treats. Her pace picked up slightly with the thought of maybe entertaining Shen with a few words as to why she had questioned that masked Nan... but then slowed again to a more casual pace once realizing that there was still a smoldering heat to his step. It was best to let his coals smolder back to small embers before touching that flame again.

Another small sigh escaped her black lips as she ventured back into the protective walls of the city, turning her frame towards her home for a spell.

Teigra:

[Liang Zhou]
Bracing himself for what was to come, Liang wondered just how this would play out. Clearly the traitor had to be punished. A broken leg? Another blinding like that previous Tah? Something new? Something clearly had to be done so that the traitorous Nan would never think to do what she'd done again. It wasn't that he enjoyed seeing others harmed, not at all. It was just...how could they possibly want to sabotage the work that they were all striving and working so hard for? Punishment was necessary. And besides, Lord Shen was so honorable, he was even giving the Nan a chance to fight for herself! Not that anyone could hope to beat their Lord...the point was that she could try. Clearly more than she deserved, right?
Only thanks to the discipline and training under General Kyle, Liang managed to keep his cringe internal as the Nan was sent flying into the rock. Ouch, that had to hurt. He glanced towards Shen, waiting for her to regain her paws and his awe grew. Honorable even when fighting those without honor.

The Nan wasn't moving.

She wasn't moving.

Liang swallowed, frowning and keeping his eyes on the scene. It took him a moment to process what he was seeing. Why wasn't she getting up...? ...Oh. He swallowed harder this time, though his mouth felt dry. Though Lord Shen's words offered reassurance that this was necessary and had played out the only way possible...his stomach churned as he stared at the still body and its unnatural positioning. Before his thoughts could descend into dark places that risked questionable thoughts, Liang was ripped from them by his General's voice. The fires within stirred and rose, bringing the sense of purpose and design back to the wavering Tah. This was right. This was necessary. It was all for the best in the end...right? Of course it was. Their orders for now were simple enough. Check their weapons and armor and prepare. Follow orders. He could do that.

[Belloblossom]

[Tsuki] Of all the things that the blue nan had expected to see when she came with her unit leader, the death of another nan was not one of them. Her stomach had clenched when the sound of a body hitting stone reached her ears and she couldn't look at the body. Knowing herself well enough that she suspected she would pass out at the sight of blood, she turned instead to her general, looking to Smaug for further guidance. She stood straight as she waited for any orders that he may give to her or the soldiers that had accompanied him. 'You don't have to look at the body. You can just look extra alert and ready to do as you're bid.' She told herself. Yes, she could do that and it would be a win-win situation. She just had to stand at attention and not think of the body or the blood that may of come out of it... Ooogh, she didn't feel so good.

AstoriaFallen

[Seriyu]

She watched as the events unfolded the Nan's life was taken from her. She hadn't thought it would get THAT extreme but it would seem that was how it was going to go. She almost wished she hadn't been here to witness that, but she had been. Though she had been there when the eyes had been ripped from that male, so this was a lot less gorey. Still, a life had been taken and she hadn't even lifted a paw to defend herself. It seemed almost, cowardly. Still, a scouting party? Her ears perked and she wondered if they could volunteer.

She approached Kyle and gave a bow of her head. "I will help find the traitors that dare oppose our leader."
