Ajax pulled his thoughts from his grooming as Kyle spoke. Dark eyes looked up to his leader before falling back to the husk infront of him. It was massive....Dark ears pulled back as he looked back down at the meal.

There was no way he could move it by himself....

Dark tail flicked behind him as little cogs of his thoughts started to turn. He was smaller...his full strength had no been given to him yet. He hadn't earned it. However, he had never failed an order before. He had to remove the carcass from the arena, but -how- was not specified. Ebony tail shifted a little in thought...

A huff left his maw, as his eyes looked about the decaying food. Perhaps he should have eaten more....

Dark eyes caught the heavy natural armor that cloaked the kill...

If he could remove that, it would help...but not a whole lot. He would have to remove it in parts....if his teacher allowed it.

Standing to his paws, Ajax moved to where Kyle's paw work and killing blow was made. Gripping it with his maw, he used his thoughts and claws. With a hop he leap over the husk, and using his weight he started to jerk and yank on the body hoping to tear the mass in to pieces.

GunSniper:

Clever.

That was the first thing to come to mind. Ajax was a thinker, a good thinker. What was most impressive was the cub had not even asked how or protested his size compared to the predator. It wouldn't be easy to pull it apart. In fact it would no doubt be time consuming. Kyle's golden gaze shifted to the exit briefly than back to the cub's task. Tiny teeth and claws would make this difficult.
The sun was now starting to peek of the edge of the arena. Waves of heat begun to smudge the edge of the horizon and the top sun-kissed wall and begun to creep along the light. It was to be another scorching day. Kyle knew the heat was going to make this task much worse. Not only on the body, but to the senses as well. The heat would rot the corpse further and create a terrible stench... Hopefully it was not going to take too long for Ajax. The failure was its own punishment

(the Harmadllio destruction! 1-2000)

(Harmadillo carcass: -1857 HP )

Ajax went quickly to work at taring the carcass. All focus and attention when to work as the cub used what new worn strength he had gained on tugging and ripping the meal apart. His previous teacher wasn't as strong as he would be, and being still young-he took Crucible's skills and improve to heart. Such as the structure and weakness of an animal. Things like knowing where muscles attached and what would be easiest to tear. That knowledge coupled with his razor sharp claws, the Cub pulled at the armor that covered the animal. Lifting it with his thoughts, (at the opening Kyle so kindly provided.) he reached his paws under it and tore it under the armor of the animal. Separating it from it's skin. Being so small the task was proven difficult and in the end would cause a lot of the bodie's fluids to coat his pelt as he crawled between the separating.

As the shell was apart of the skin, the cub kicked it away with a growl. Quickly hopping of the pelt, he felt energized by the success. He thought it would take longer then it did. However seeing his work progress well and quickly cause his body to shake slightly with adrenaline and excitement.

This was working out well.

With the Carcass' heavy protective shell out of the way, the cub lunged at the gape of the hunches and gripped with claws, ripping at it's pelvis, taring into the flesh. There was a snap, and a pop. In a large tug he ripped the body apart.

A impressive feat for a cub.

The carcass was now in two halves....

Without pause, the cub leached on the rump of the rotting meal and with a heave backward he started to drag the end of the meal toward the blood trailed exit of the arena. Jerk after accelerated jerk the cub worked to complete his ordered task.

GunSniper:

Kyle watched with eyes widened just enough to be noticed through the holes in his metallic mask. The carcass was no easy feat for a small cub, yet here this one was making his own way as if the task was nothing. Incredible. Slowly the sun crept back along the floor of the arena. The cub may have been making progress, but time was going forward.

"Why are you here cub?" Kyle growled while he watched the cub work.

Seeing as the little one was having such an easy time with the task there had to be alterations to the method. Once proven capable the task would probe to be only that, a task. There was no learning from this much success.

The cub jerked and yanked the rump of the carcass. Heavy pants left the cub as he worked with all his might to move the rotting body. His ears bounced forward as he heard kyle's growl. It was the first time he heard such a tone come from his teacher. His maw pulled back in a smile as he pulled the weight. His whole body threw himself back as if he was in tug-o-war with the dead mass. As easy as it was to part the carcass, it wasn't to move the hulk.

Kyle's question went unanswered for now as he tended to his first order, and his mouth was full.

As he exited the arena with the first chunk it was moved from the path. His black growing mass soon revealed himself once more.

"To be the strongest and brightest flame!" The cub roared In a taxed break as he darted to the remaining upper half of the harmadillo.

GunSniper:

"ANSWER ME LITTLE EMBER!" Kyle demanded to the lack of answer. Of course he knew the cub's maw was full with his prior task, but that was part of the task.

When Ajax finally returned for the next half of his task, and answered with much gusto, Kyle blocked his path. Standing firmly between the two. Every muscle along his frame was tight and ready for a scrap. Not that the cub was threatening to a much larger adult, but it was a show of sorts.

"Why are you here snowball!?"

The name, of course, he had heard of the ice lands, and seen those dreaded frozen raindrops. He had witnessed a game of sorts before he had to return to a warmer climate. The limits of his own temperature tolerance had been tested and that dainty little insult had been a souvenir of that training. Snow was most unpleasant and too soft. Ajax could look forward to knowing most of the insults that Kyle had picked up during his time awake.

Ajax was surprised by the sudden appearance of his teacher. His little sharp and bloodied claws halted him, from ramming into him. His words dropped from his maw. And his ears quickly dropped back. His body lowered to the ground. His tail puffed behind him in alarm and happened just as involuntary as the growl that left his mouth.

Snowball? What was a snowball?

Eyes widened and darted to the side and back to the lump of mass that was still apart of an unfinished task.

"I am here to remove the harvest from the arena" The cub answered plainly as he gathered his alerted composure. His eyes looked back to his teacher. Claws still out and Barried partly in the ground.

GunSniper:

Kyle's eyes narrowed on the startled cub's own surprised orbs. The confusion was not well hidden on the cub's features. Of course, the little one had yet to experience the lack of heat. Perhaps another time he would have to train him to survive in the cold. A thought for another time. For now the cub had to finish the task.

"Is that your motivation?" Kyle growled.

Purposefully he remained in place, like a dark wall looming over the cub. The task was still in play, but now it was more complicated. How would Ajax handle this? what would he do. Kyle was still assessing his strengths and weaknesses. Both in the arena were learning.

As the cub regained his barring, he looked around Kyle to the mass he had yet to move from the arena. Looking back to his teacher, he wondered if he would try to stop him. He was impeding him right now. But as taught by his clan and family, you complete an order once it was given-even if it was conridicted by the person giving it. Unless he was ordered to stop. He was not ordered to stop...only questioned.

"No!" The cub answered as he quickly leached for the side to try and get around the large wall. His tail whipped behind him in a flick as his hunches pushed off the ground.

GunSniper:

Kyle grinned inwardly. What a wonderful change of events here. The cub was not grounded dumbfounded by the questions, he had a task to get done and was now back on track to completing it. Almost. Kyle lept backward, knowing he had the advantage of a longer leap, to intercept the cub's path. Ajax had already proved that he knew he had to think through the situation as he could not rely on power alone now. Not until he was older.

"What is your motivation?" Kyle continued to grill the cub for answers.

"The fire that's been woven in me!" The cub answered, anticipating Kyle moving in some form. He just wasn't sure how-and if he would be attacked. Watching his teacher soar backward in a leap and turn himself to block his path. The cub didn't stop this time, he kept moving forward. This time to try and dart under the towering adult's legs. His head and neck brace in cause he was stopped once more by the elder's helm and horns

GunSniper:

"Is that what you believe?" Kyle growled, emotionless and without giving any hit of like or dislike to the answer. It all seemed to be a carbon answer that he would hear from all of his soldiers. A touching answer, but it lacked heart. At least, it seemed as though it did.

When Ajax bolted between his legs Kyle was taken back a bit. A bold move. He scooted backward and attempted to knock Ajax on his side.

"No!" The cub answered, skidding himself to a sharp halt as Kyle moved. This was his arena-he was use to fighting those bigger then him!

"It is what I know, and who i am!" Ajax declared launching himself in the air in a effort to hop on Kyle's head and horns. His nail retracted themselves as he made the airborne maneuver. It was a daring move, one that can end badly if Kyle launched him further and one he couldn't brace for-because he had to keep his body flexible and agile for landing and maneuver.

fortune favored the bold right?

GunSniper:

"I am not convinced"

Kyle lowered his head to give the cub a clear shot at the helmet. He quickly swung his head down than back up again with the force of a charging flooflalo.

Fortune favored the crafty! Or the one who had an escape plan. There were two ways that this could have gone and Kyle believed he had an answer to both scenarios. Ajax was quick and agile. He was able to perform maneuvers that Kyle never could have in his life. He was never woven a cub. But he was woven first with strength and knew how to guide it.
