A drone hovered nearby, watching the blueblood set up more and more mortars, her bland expression and quick mads making her seem more practiced at this than she was.

If she had lightning at her fingertips, she would use it only for necessary situations and for training. Fine tune the skill for usability to light fires if she was ever unable to do so by hand, to paralyze and not kill if she needed her prey alive, to kill but not roast the meat, to interfere with nerves from long range, the list goes on. It would be honed for practicality and preparation. Perhaps that's what this was? Just a set of experimental military grade weapons that are being passed as entertainment and the drones are here to record data.

The workshop was locked down as tight as an imperial guard, the guards watchful and paranoid, not letting a soul near. So they were dangerous, insanely so. This was stuff they didn't want getting taken off the launchpad or in the hands of trolls outside of military observation.

If it really was testing military equipment with the cover of being entertainment, this was insanely unbelievably dangerous. How characteristic. Tsarzi heaved a deep sigh through her nose.

Maybe they weren't experimental military weapons, but repurposed ones? Just take some explosives made with too weak of a blast to be useful and give them to the public to play with? Tsarzi didn't doubt that most trolls and their absurd enjoyment of wasting time would get a kick out of blowing up the stars in the sky.

Trolls seemed rather enamored with power and displays of such. She briefly eyeballed the bodybuffing area across the compound, but quickly continued with her work.

Tsarzi could criticize the practice for hours probably. And yet here she was, setting up more and more of the mortars, each packed with different kinds of wrapped lightning shots.

To be fair, it probably wasn't actual lightning. Tsarzi had never seen anything alluding to trolls having gained control over the natural elements in such a way. It was probably something that just mimicked the sound, destructive capability, and lightburst of a violent thunderstorm.

A couple of drones were eyeing Tsarzi's line up now, getting a little shifty and scooting away from the deathtrap. Just how many explosives was that blueblood panning to setup before letting them go off?

One drone was now roped into being her consultant on making sure she grabbed a different kind for each mortar. They said something about different colors and explosions and patterns and Tsarzi gleaned what information she could from such a minimal description. She would probably look more into these fireworks later.

The question was, if Tsarzi thought this was so stupid, an encouragement of poor habits encouraged by a flawed system and learned idiocy, why was she playing a part? Well, she'd probably ignore you flat out.

The answer to that should be obvious. She was gathering information, she was studying. This was a rare chance to see trolls reacting to flashy entertainment so she could judge just how taken in by their own self assured displays they were. This would give her hands on experience handling what could essentially be a dumbed down version of military grade explosives.

She was experiencing this phenomenon so she could judge it in a more learned fashion. As a subject she knew little to nothing about, and one that occurred only on special occasions, this was a valuable opportunity to observe.

Some concerned trolls were starting to eye her lineup now, seeming caught off guard by just how many mortars she had set up.

Seems that the common troll did have some grasp of the danger of these devices, even if they didn't fully understand them.

The drone that was assisting Tsarzi seemed more than a little jumpy at seeing so many of these colorful starburst explosives et up and ready to blow in one place. The blueblood was following safety protocol to a t, the mortars set up the the correct distance apart, all pointed away from the main fairground and with no crossing paths.

Tsarzi wondered if she should be sympathetic to the nervous looking drone. Losing a limb to these kinda of devices was sure to make you jumpy with so many set and ready to blow.

Tsarzi weighed the ideas of offering a kind word to the drone or telling him to buck up. This was his job after all, even if he had suffered trauma through it. If he didn't like it, he could quite-

Wait. Could you just quite being a drone? Tsarzi doubted it. She side eyed the drone sharply for a minute, considering how very very little she knew about these military workers. Another matter to look into post Bloodfest then.

Tsarzi could admit, the amount of fireworks she had set up was getting ridiculous. The entire thing had seemed ridiculous to her from the start though, she she was relatively unaffected. She had plenty of variance in the set up, taking the drones suggestions but picking out some others on her own.

It was probably about time to see if this packaged troll made lightning lived up to Lupos's description. Still, she could get away with a few more setups.

O maybe forty-three mortar setups is where the drones drew a line because one of them had set them off and began ushering her away from the end of the line of explosives where she'd been at. The wicks were lit and the area was cleared as the sizzle of the countdown timer filled the air, layered by how many mortars the blueblood had put up.

Finally, her curiosity would be sated.

The first mortar blew, shaking and rocking back while something spiraled up into the air, higher and higher, a sizzling whistle like sound following up and up and up into the inky sky until is blew.

A blast like the whip-crack of thunder echoed over the grounds while sparks of imperial magenta lit up the sky, the brightness making the stars temporarily disappear. Every color, every shape, different starbursts, from large showy showers to small consecutive bursts, the sky light up in a pyrotechnic show of a rather lengthy proportion.

Within minutes, Tsarzi had reached a verdict that this was not only conceptually stupid, but in practice it was just as boring as she expected. If this was as good a go as lightning striking the sky as trolls could make, they needed to reevaluate. She understood where Lupos got the description from, but still.

My name is: Dairah Vacche
My team is: Orange
My choices for today: E (Flower Petals), F (Mineral Oil)

Current Score 0 (Just started)

Dairah was more than happy to help set up for this bodybuffing thing! Helping set things up was a key component of service, after all. So she headed into the prep area, where she saw the array of materials set aside for the older trolls' body oil. Some of them seemed so strange (applesauce? GERBIL MILK? though Moomoo voiced no objection, Dairah was sure that her lusus could out-milk a gerbil for oil any day), and more likely to make a smelly mess than spiff up a troll's body. For Dairah, the choice of what to put into her specific brand of body oil was clear. Mineral oil was a must for the shine and the moisturization (mineral oil WAS moisturizing... right...?), and flower petals would give off a pleasant aroma (probably). Whoever used her body oil would be a knockout!

...Hopefully. It was possible that the mineral oil would be slippery and the flower petals would gum up the mix, but that was a risk Dairah was willing to take.

Clearly this was going to go spectacularly. Whoever let kids have access to fireworks with minimal supervision was either looking to get them all killed, or just didn't care. Thypion was not pleased with this activity, but Deimos wouldn't listen and insisted upon going to set up mortars for his own firework display. Or something.
