It might be the first time Shu actaulyl give the Death Assistant a hug regardles of his awful hygiene. It was well noticed that her hands were very cold while her muscles tightened up. Shu was glad that the amount of blood wasn't enough reignite the biggest trauma for her. However, Mark's situation was unbelivably bad that he mumbled something about twins before he's out cold.

The petite Asian was surprised Carl was incredibly calm under that situation, and unconsciously she replied him. "I've many of them, I can give them to you after this." The appearance of Rep was a saviour. Shu looked at the full hunter with watery pityful eyes and said, "Uncle Mark is out cold, we need to bring him to infirmary. I think he was being attacked from back on his head." Her words began to get messy. "I dunno what happened.....someone - finding something....everything being plundered"

Through the windows, somewhere was smoking and an incessant beep could be heard behind the conservation. "I guess we're under a planned attack." This might be the only logical words the petite Asian managed. The box of donuts were put at the desk nearby, neglected.

The third conscious occupant in the room stood there holding a small box-shaped object carved with red runes that had a countdown timer that said something like 5:32 on it, ticking down by the second, and waited patiently for Shu and Rep to say their peace.

"I found the beeping," Carl said helpfully, and shook it as the timer counted down to around four minutes, "it kind of reminds me of a bomb." He shook it.

Mark was still unconscious.

A lot of Rep was instinct, most of him running on a constant animal sort of survival. He took one look at the box in Carl's hand, one look at the servers in Mark's room and the unconcious Mark on the floor. "We need to get it ******** out of here." he said, tried to seize it from Cael's hand and run headlong out oo out of the office while the thing ticked down.

It was important to save the tech. He'd already helped blow up their servers, they couldn't blow up theirs.

"Not kind of!" Shu exclaimed in surprise but corrected Carl. "It's literally a bomb." She nervously gestured him not shaking the box like it's a mystery toy with some frequent hops. In the lapse of a minute, Shu never think she could see a bomb ticking down outside of a movie. Her mind was occupied with incompleted solutions to save them out and keep the place intact when Rep grabbed the bomb from the boy, said some words and fled like a horse.

The full hunter's action somehow reminded Shu what she should really do, not amazed by she was in an action movie's scenario but to share work for efficency. She looked around one last time for any suspcious items before talking to Carl. "I think we need to move Uncle Mark to infimary, he needs some treatment so that we could know what's going on."

The weight of a normal adult meant Shu couldn't do the job alone, Carl's assistance was necessary. "Um......I will hold his hands and you grab the legs. If we're lucky, we could meet another hunter to help us." She'd thought she went to infimary and bring someone back to check the Death Assistant. Yet, she felt worried to have let Carl stay in the office alone. She didn't forget the trainee was like an armless civilian even he's special.

Meanwhile, she got concerned of Rep's safety, he was carrying a bomb. She picked out her phone and stared at it for a while, before began to drag Mark gently. Hopefully Rep will contact her soon.

The bomb continued to count down, close to the 3:00 marker when Rep managed to take a good look at it again. It was covered in glowing red wires and runes making it impossible for any sudden bomb defusing doctorates to even start to guess.

He had three minutes to discard it.

Baneful

- Rep can try to discard the bomb any place on island. Roll 1d6 to see how far he gets (by matching up his distance to the results below). This will consume 1 minute each time. If he wishes to go further, or does not like the result, you can roll the dice again an add on the distance while also adding one minute.

Example: Roll 1d6, get 4 (distance 4, time left: 2 minutes). Roll 1d6 again, get 3 (distance is now 4+3=7, time left 1 minute). Roll 1d6 again, get 6 (distance is now 4+3+6= 15, time left 0 minutes CHOOSE A LOCATION WITHIN RANGE).

Range 0 - 5 distance: You are still in the Deus HQ. You can pick the training fields, the main HQ, the life labs, the dorms
Range 6 - 10: You are outside the gates. You can pick the more populated reconstructed parts of the abandoned towns, the weapons cove, the beach close to the lighthouse
Range 11 - 15: You are far, far away. You can pick the literal ocean along the cliffs, the jungle area, the giant wad of fog in the more abandoned part of the abandoned towns

Carl watched Rep run away with the delayed reaction of someone who seriously had no clue how everything was slowly devolving into chaos. He kept on staring at Mark until the Death assistant started twitching again, still in their own pool of blood. "I think he's still alive."

At Shu's request however, he looked extremely reluctant and looked at Mark's shoes then at Shu, then back at Mark's shoes. "I'm allergic to bad smells," he finally said.

"I know, but we can't leave him here." Shu replied, the Death Assistant continued his squirmy twitches like one of his many minions while being sprayed pesticides on top. "All right, I grab the legs, you grab the hands." The petite Death seemed to approve his comment and reaction and didn't mind to switch their position. They got no time to spare with trivial matters like that.

ROLL 1

Three minutes, three ******** minutes. Rep wasn't a runner, when he fought it was relying on core strength, a really good weapon augmented talent for jumping and a lot of experience wielding a huge weapon. Honestly he hated running and avoided it at all costs, preferring weights and resistance training to a jog.

As such, he wasn't really the best person for this job, but sometimes in times of trial it wasn't the best person but the only person who got landed with the task.

ROLL 2

Not the dorms, not the training fields, he needed to make it to the edge of the island, away from people and resources.

The bomb kept ticking down.

ROLL 3

He was trying most of all to get to the beach, trying to get to the ocean which could muffle an explosion and do the least harm possible, but time was running out too fast.

ten seconds, there was sand underfoot, he was out of time and the tide was out.

He threw it as hard and as fast as he could and turned his back on it to run for cover.

Nothing happened at first, and then there was a soft crack and a bright flash of white as the shoreline waves rippled-

- And then a searing plume of red in the distance as a thick dust of sand spilled out all directions and then a louder, more prominent roar that cause Rep's ears to ring sharply, and knocked him easily off his feet-

- then silence again.

The good news was the lighthouse seemed to have taken minimal damage, mostly just scorched. The bad news was quite a large portion of the beach next to the lighthouse was now made of scorched black glass, hopefully nobody had the great idea of wanting a nice tan next to the lighthouse anytime soon. The best news however, was the number of potentially countless lives Rep had saved, and the helicopter that clearly did not belong to Deus flying away in the distance.

"It's okay," Carl insisted, still trying to be polite, "here, how about I'll take the box of donuts and you take his-his feet. I'll keep an eye out for corners," he said helpfully.

He backed up a little bit as the pool of blood around Mark slightly expanded.

Shu merely made her eyes widely in surprise at Carl for his suggestion. To confirm what he meant, she proded. "You mean - we don't hold his hands at all?" That felt like some crazy murders happened in game who drag out cold person by their feet and let their head freely abrade against the ground and left a trail of blood...... Um, that didn't sound feasible.

Not that she concerned his hair would get dirted, but the Death Assistant seemed to have his head got creamed. Anyway, while the dicussion taken place there went a loud roar nearby. "Rep!" If they already lifted up the poor man, that would be the moment she dropped him and allowed his head to hit against the ground once more.

"He'd be fine and gonna catch up with us soon." She assured Carl and at the same time herself. Seeing how neat freak the trainee was, she picked up Mark by his wrist and started hauling his not-dead body away from the pool of blood. Her thought was simple: allow feet to abrade would be better than his head.

When she adamantly pulled him outside the range of the blood pool, she called the boy again. "Okay, you watch the path for me, but don't leave me too far away. I'll tell you which direction to go." Since his clothes soaked with blood, it would still leave a trail of blood on their way.

Mark wasn't too difficult to move, mostly just made of puffy overweight clothing and baggy pants. As Shu dragged him, an assortment of phone cords, headphones, cell phones, usb chips, and about every single piece in between fell out from his pockets.

"Corner here," Carl said helpfully, before lingering behind a bit to let Shu pass. A brief look of annoyance crossed his face at the trail of junk leading a literal path to the office, and he removed the plastic bag packaging from the box of donuts and began to pick up everything that wasn't coated in blood along the way, avoiding the paint smear of red Mark was leaving behind down the hallway.

They got as far as the stairs before it seemed like it was a really bad idea to drag Mark down those and about a minute later, Carl showed up with a surprisingly full bag of junk and emptied the whole thing into a nearby recycle bin. "Stairs here," he prompted, still making absolutely no gesture to help with the Mark predicament.

Rep toppled when the explosion went off but as he stood again, temporarily deafened by the sound, it was to an island which was mostly undamaged other than a bit of black soot.

He flopped down to sit tiredly in the sand and watch the helicopter ******** right off where it belonged.

PostPosted: Sat Feb 04, 2017 12:05 am

Shu hauled the man who was taller than her with difficulties, it wasn't a smooth run at all. Occasionally she could hear some noises around but she didn't notice besides the blood streak they were making along, small objects also dropped.

Forgive she never need to drive, so the corner turn wasn't successful. While his upper part passed said corner, his legs were a burden. They stuck there, somehow locked with the wall's nintey-degree. She pushed Mark's body a few steps backward and tried again. This time his shoes hooked with the corner, she looked at his feet quietly with a look as if she'd cut them off to facilitate the moving. Glady, the petite Death simply pulled forward and in the process, a shoe was taken off without notice.

She'd well spend her time for spars instead of dragging a out cold person. It was exhausting to be honest. Finally they reached the stairs but the stairs. She had no idea why a out cold Mark would still giving them so much troubles, for a second, she simply wanted to abandon him. It was just a whim of course, the man was an important resource to the division despite his ridiculous deeds.

"We can't roll his body down like this." She frowned, perturbed in solving their problem. Carl's action somehow enlightened her, she put down Mark and went to push something with a wheel back. She carefully sat him inside, together with junks that were his belongings. The bin was half filled so the Death Assitant could be positioned like he was in a tank. "Alright, that should make us go faster." She happily annouced, didn't disagree with the idea of "trash belongs to trashcan" came across her mind.

That magically worked well when she controled the bin downstairs, the set-up would absorb most of the vibrations and reduce the friction against the floor. She was quite proud of her quick thinking and hope Mimsy would approve her. "Let's see, the infirmary's.....this way!" The huge chaos took place on the island meant they rarely encountered anyone on their way, or they'd see the Death Assitant sat in a recycle bin with a petite girl steering and a boy holding a box of donuts as if they were having fun in supermarket. She was a pretty good driver, sadly Mark missed the once-in-a-life experience of it.

Carl watched in fascination as Shu continued her route, thanks to the chaos and explosions, it seemed nobody even paid much attention to them.

It wasn't until they reached the labs that, still clutching the donuts, he belatedly realized what that noise in the distance was, and stared anxiously in the general direction of the beach. "Do you think Rep is okay?"
