Haze the Halloween Kitsune
◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆◆

Haze's tail dragged along the ground, fur bristling occasionally as it seemed to split into sections and come back together. The dreary kitsune's ears picked up the sound of other students as he wandered. Curiosity leading him to a room clearly labeled, his interested peaked on what was inside more than who or what could even attend.

'..know so far about Humans' were the first words Haze registered when he entered. Unbeknownst, or even uninterested that he may have been late, the silver haired male stood right in the back of the room. Humans? He didn't have a clue about them. But the thought of the creature intrigued him.

"They'd be fun to chase" he said clearly. It was more of a self-preference, an instinctual itch, than a fact. His uneducated picture of Humans were along the lines of rodents or twiddling little things. Ignorance was bliss after all.

Zar seemed soothed by the compliments from Jason and the apologies and smoothed back out into a state of relaxation. "Well, you need to learn to contain yourself, otherwise you will get into all manner of trouble."

The lesson about humans was informative for the most part, though did not address his favourite part of humans. He assumed this was simply due to it being a rather specialised taste rather than something which might make a human stop working. He decided to volunteer his own experience of humans.

"They are easily fooled." he said.

Carlos was happy with gold stars and such. It was pleasant to know he was a star.

He also was happy to get a smiley face sticker. It was immediately stuck on his face. There purfect.

Oh, they were starting class now? Carlos stared at the teacher and the bored but his eyes slowly glazed over. It wasn't that he couldn't read but... those books looked so boring. So boring, and as the teacher droned on, Carlos nearly fell asleep.

Carlos would not be reading all of those. He probably wouldn't even read one. Why should he? Carlos was cat. He wouldn't be doing much inaction with humans directly and even if he ever did professionally it would be in a group. Some one else could handle all the important details. he would work on the riddles and the illusions.

He became a little more alert when there were mentions of brains and hearts and lungs.

He thought about the question. Hummm he wanted a cookie. Yes cookie. more points for him. Yes.

Finally he stood up and took his turn.

"Sometimes you can break a human's heart without them dying. Same for the mind. And humans fear both being broken."
PostPosted: Sun Jan 22, 2017 5:59 am
Huh. Food wasn't supposed to SMILE back. They were supposed to FEAR him. He frowned, wondering how he could up his game, but then "class" started, and Jasper was annoyed he couldn't figure out how to unnerve the little goldfish more.

"They're extremely disgusting and FRAGILE." he sneered, seeming to hold bitter resentment for the inferior race.

NO WORRIES I AM SLOW TOO QQ

------------------

Maddie was EXTREMELY displeased Carlos got a star and not her. She deserved that star. It was HERS. She hissed back and chomped down on the paw Carlos waved at her. How DARE he try to wave her off as some mere pest. She was NOT a pest.

She was contemplating how to tear off said paw without getting in trouble, when class suddenly started. Oh joy, humans.
She rolled her eyes at the information given, side-eyeing Carlos for his "inaccurate information".

"ACTUALLY, there are MANY ways to break a human without them dying. I hear their limbs are very breakable. And tasty."
She would have added that physically breaking a human heart didn't always result in instant death either. These humans were disgustingly resilient. Like roaches.

phantompanther13

------------------

Mayaa wasn't quite sure how to respond to the "bleeding" comment, but out of obligation, she checked her limbs to make sure none of them were cut and that she wasn't excreting some red fluid. While doing this though, she never had the decency to get off Vaudrey to let the poor boil check if HE was excreting red fluid, and even now the poor thing was probably getting a face full of GIANT BOOBS because Mayaa had no tact whatsoever.

"Nope! Not bleeding. Did you want some blood?"
Mayaa didn't like hurting herself, but with the boil needed blood, then-

THANKFULLY class started and distracted her from thought of self-harm from the greater good, and suddenly stood up (thank goodness for Vaudrey), waving her hands/wings wildly (possibly slapping Sludge in the process), VERY EAGER to share her wealth of knowledge about humans.

"Oh! Oh! HUMANS HAVE BUTTS!!! They don't have tails!!!"
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

"Owe owe owe." Carlos whined at Maddie. She was a total pest a terrible nuisance. He licked his paw and pouted.

While she was distracted Carlos took his coloring book, and crayons and slipped away to another seat, turning as invisible as he could. (Hard when his stripes still stayed very visible.)

He chuckled lightly for Damaris's reaction and instead of returning with "yo", his greeting was oddly gentleman. "Miss Ettore, nice to meet you. I'm AJ." Despite of his formal wording, his smile was quite casual with a warm temperature.

He didn't interrupt Aureole but added his comment once she finished. "Yup, Damaris impressed me during the class in her own way. Sometimes, ghouls are braver than boils." At a whim, memory clips with the witch floated to the surface, but just for a while.

"Thank you." He held the spookies on one palm and took one up with two fingers to have a closer look. The swirls and dots on it were lovely, not something he would use to decorate his. Besides the buttery scent, he could sniff another more subtle auroma, yet he was unable to distinguish it. "Hm, it tastes refreshing! What's the green part made of?" Chewing the awesome treat, his face lit up with energy. It could be some special ingredient that her kind uses, and he wondered if she could share it with him.

Lured by the scent of the spookie, the head had whipped its head quickly and opened its big mouth to inhale the remaining spookies on AJ's hand. Yup, just like a vaccum cleaner. "Damn it, Bro." The boil made a frustrated curse as he realized it was too late to cover his hand.

"YUM YUM!" The head exclaimed and made a face to the coloring book, as if saying I've something better than you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost simultaneously, a chirpy noise echoed in the room singaled the beginning of the class. Dwa, the head's attention was stolen by the glittering snowflake wand. It moved with its back and forth, up and down movement, eyes sparkled like scarelings seeing Santa Claw.

Next to the wand was a long wall of text, like a scareling, the head didn't know many words, it made it dizzy and confused. So the helpless tail hissed at the screen like a dog barking at what made it confused.

Meanwhile, AJ spared some minutes to focus on the screen and jotted down some books that he guessed might be intriguing, like the one talking about human conversations. He didn't know too much about humans, even he encountered one in the past. AJ tried hard to recall the moment he fought with said human, who those some halloweeners called hunter.

When he came up with an answer, he raised up his hand. "Humans hate to get their hands dirty, so they either ask someone else or use weapons to fight." Reapers, they look like humans somehow in appearance and behaviour, he guessed it might be a good point to make.

Mellow was upset that their professor was a female, humans were a topic he would like to hear and learn. He'd rather listen to how to repel females 101, how to evade and dodge the opposite sex, or 100 best and safest places to take a nap, or even how to pretend to be a minipet when you're in danger, etc.

Anyway, his mother did tell him something about humans in cause her curious boil wanted to go to human world following his father's footsteps. "M-My mother said some humans abuse animals, especially equines. They tied them up and beat them to move, so horrible....." His pointed ears twitched as he shook with a bad chill imaginging that. He also tried not to make eye contacts with the professor. "And.....human females, are fierce and scary as if they can breath fire from their mouths."

Uru has ventured to the human world from time to time. Experience their music, smell their food, and, of course, scare the living day lights out of them at night. But he has made many observations while he lurked their shadows and street corners, just out of sight and corner of their eyes.

Lazily, the boil lifted his hand with his elbow firmly planted on the desk.

"Humans are intriguing creatures. They cover up their natural scent with artificial smells that come from cans. All for the purpose of tricking the opposite gender into thinking they smell nice. In actuality, they're quite rancid."

The first sentence from Zar earned Ace's consent and then it got hilarious as the Incubus continued. It was hard to control his mouth muscles that no giggle could escape it. So he pressed himself against Jason and let the hair covered most of the face.

Ace wasn't sure if someone told the stoic creature those misconceptions or he was making things up to be convincible in order to consolidate his opinion over humans.

The whole thing was amusing until he mentioned his friend got kidnapped. Ace arched an eyebrow pondering if he meant them, hunters. Some of them thought halloween creatures were just like horsemen and held a hostile attitude towards them. He wasn't one of them, as long as the halloweeners didn't strike at him first. He found them intriguing and wanted to make contact with them more.

"Um..." He only made some drawling meaningful musing noises to Zar's long made-up paragraphs. When the Incubus moved her, Ace didn't stop him but made him a pouty discontented voice.

Luckily, his sweet words after the good boil's apology had made the Succbus forgive him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was no long after the class actually started that Ace felt the tickling urge to laugh again. As if they were taking a subject called humanology, everything had the work human on it, but he wasn't sure if they had the correct concepts written down.

Despite her seem-to-be-impressive qualification, the professor explained them, in a too simple way. Well, their kidergarten teachers might say something similar but medical students would be too angry to pinpoint the mistakes like every five seconds as the lecture went on.

The lesson was unbelievably funny, he almost burst into laughter when she mentioned the squishy parts. He thought a highly educated figure would at least know the names of the basic orgins, but nope. SQUISHY PARTS.

To distract himself and not to get the professor's unneccessary notice, the Succubus waved to Jason for his attention. "Hey handsome, how squishy are the human's squishy parts?

When the hunter heard of Zar's answer, he did a roll of his eyes swiftly. Some maybe, but not all of them. Let's say, the division leaders were a mixture of smart-sly traits.

"They're weak to temptations, like drugs, power or sex." The succubus said with a teasing smile. "My seniors told me the fear of knowing they should stop, but not able to stop, is the tastiest."

Oh such a great opportunity to learn the human in the halloweeners' eyes. Shu might be one of the students who actually colored their coloring books. She made sure every page looked colorful and bright, as if she was making beautiful clothes for her book.

The mermaid gave her professor a good student image, she sat still and looked at the screen with full attention. Hearing they were asked to read hundered books made the petite hunter grateful that it was a one-day class for them. She did find some of them interesting but definitely she didn't have time for ALL of them.

As the professor began to explain stuff, she however felt an eager urge to tell her "It's not like that, professor....." I know! I'm on disguise but - but it's disastrous seeing them getting the wrong things and allow it to happen! In scientific angel, Heart is simply the organ that bumps pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system. The part responsible to create feels and emotions is after all their brains.

On the other hand, she felt it might be a good thing for the halloweeners to think humans were fragile beings that needed extra care and caution. Even the fact was humans could still survive when some "squishy parts" being damaged or removed. Shu always thought their bodies are amazing yet she wasn't expert on that topic.

The petite Death hunter was dumbfounded at some student's impressions of humans, when she was one of them. She carefully pondered over each of them with herself as the subject while nodded and shook her head.

"Most humans rely too much on technology. If you go to the human world, you can see many of them holding a device whatever they are doing. Their skins are more fragile than ours, so they put stuff over them for protection while many of us have scales."

It was a good thing that only Aureole could see her tail as it was swishing lightly back and forth with obvious delight from the compliments on her baking. Damaris couldn't hold back the turning up of her lips, revealing purely white teeth with the faintest traces of her earlier blush returning.

"T-thank you! I... I used a little nutmeg in the cookie batter and the frosting was made with all-vegan products and a little hint of melted marshmallow." It was something she had managed to figure out when she had visited her cousin's home in the mountains and had access to her kitchen.

"Here, I have more." She produced several more spookies and handed them over to AJ.

--

After the teacher had grabbed the attention of the classroom, she stiffly shoved her things away in the shared bag of her and Aureole before retrieving a small light blue mini-notebook and pen to got down several of the books. She was sure Aurrie wasn't going to record any so to have this list would come in handy... The Terron already knew most of her Peryton's relatives view of humans.

It took her a couple of minutes but she shakily raised her hand when she could think of something. "Humans have a HUGE array of medical treatments for themselves, some more outrageous and life-threatening than the sickness."

♦ -- ♦

"I nearly forgot that you were vegan, Dama." It had been a silly concept to her in her youth but now a made a little sense. Terron's were more fawn-like than Perytons and were more often than not, vegetarians. But if that was what made Damaris comfortable, Aureole would respect her choices.

And it always amazed her with the many things she could bake with such a limited food palette.

Her attention flickered over to AJ before a gentle smile graced her features. He was civil, polite and genuinely pleasant. Damaris always could attract some good company.

After her cousin's own knowledge of humans, Aureole raised her hand. "Humans destroy that which they don't understand."

The words were unusually cold for the often bright and shining Peryton. As if it held a little 'personal' touch to them. Aureole could feel the uneasy gaze that her cousin was giving her but she waved it away with a hand and a smile.

Lucida rested her head on her arms and her arms were put on the table, she yawned as the professor talked. Humans, she wasn't very interested in them. They don't have wings, tail or horns and they screamed at everything they don't expect, especially the females.

She had watched a human movie called Scream, the girl only knew to scream out of her lung and stood there when she saw the masked human. How stupid, she disliked that depreciation of females.

The Erinyes did agree humans had a lot on their minds but she wasn't sure for the rest. "Do all the humans have hearts in the same place? I watched a movie and the masked human made two attempts on stabbing the victim's heart before he could kill her. If not, do some have more than one?" She also attempted the question, "I think humans love gambling and they tend to make excuses for their behaviours."

Professor Rime looked at Haze through her scarf and spectacles. "No, they are not fun to chase. I'd like to assign you extra homework after class on the fundamentals of Human use' so you can be properly enlightened."

Lunar Chi

"Actually," she corrected next at Zar who spoke, "they are quite intelligent beasts, and are as easily fooled as we are. Reading 'Humans and You: Their Art of Psychology' will correct these misconceptions."

Baneful

"Yes, yes, you have the fundamental concepts correct but in absolutely the wrong order my dear child," she gave Carlos a gold star anyway. "Please do carefully write down notes, it will help correct your previous educations."

phantompanther13
One point for Carlos

Maddie got a shocked expression. "Dear, oh dear, if i was a full time Professor here, which I am of course investigating to become, I would have a word with your previous professor. We do not inflict violence on Humans that is very bad. I would like you to write 'We do not eat Humans' on your colouring book ten times to remember that."

[A.V.]

Upon Mayaa's response (Jasper was entirely ignored), she pursed her lips and reluctantly gave them a gold star sticker as well.

[A.V.]
One point for Mayaa

The professor tsk-tsked at AJ ("No talks about violence in this classroom please!") before giving Mellow the most patronizing smile. "Those are all scareling myths, I'm afraid. I would consider you to start reading 'Humans and you: the truth behind the myths' to help your poor, uneducated mind.

Meegane

"I see someone has been reading 'Humans and You: Their Art of Attraction, very good, very good." It was 99.999999% likely Uru had never even heard of that book. "A gold star for you."

Phiferwolf
One point for Uru!

There will be no talk of the sex in this classroom until we have reached the proper material," Professor Rime said shrilly to Ace, looking like a fluffed up Pom. She turned to "Shu". "That is quite correct my dear, they do like their technology. I would correct you on what they are doing when they are using their technology, but it is far too advanced for this course." She gave Shu a gold star anyway.

Meegane
One point for Shu!

At Aureole's response she flicked her wrist, celebratory snowflakes sparkling in the air everywhere. "You see class? This is the type of exemplary answer I am looking for. Smart, hardworking, children become smart, hardworking adults. Silly, lazy children do not." Here she looked at Jasper.

Dama's however was just giving a small patronizing smile and then a "Next!"

For some reason, only Shiki's colouring book was trying to teach him the alphabet in a very nonsensical order, starting with X and then D and then Φ. The front of his colouring book said FOR AGES 2- 4.

The really sad thing was that seemed to be perfectly fine for Shiki. This not being his normal language he was kind of nodding along, coloring the letters. He did give a bit of pause upon hitting Φ causing his hand to shoot into the air and his head to tilt. "Um.. this kanji.. where do I use it? What is the usual word it is found in?"

His ears flicked and he peered around the room looking to see if anyone else was lost in the same way.

He also wondered just what this hand to do with dealing with Humans. "Is this something they use a lot? Will it help keep me safe? How do I pronounce it?"

Everyone else seemed to know vastly different things.. He went a little teary eyed. "I know they can speak different languages..." The last was a frail whisper.

}}i{{

Keen sat in the seat for a bit, then spoke up in a gentle voice. "I believe that many Humans have a fear of dying, and sometimes even sleep. " She tapped her finger to her lips before continuing. "Is that because they just vanish? I never really met a dead human. I just know when they hear me or my sisters they run."

Arriving late, pretty much as usual, Aksaja slouched into a chair in the back of the room, seeming fairly uninterested in the subject. In point of fact, he was very interested, since he hadn't had the chance to encounter humans very much. And the times he had seen them had been pretty brief and chaotic. He just didn't want to look like he cared too much. Had to keep up the "cool" persona, after all.

He sat up just a bit at the explanation of how humans worked and so on. Tilting head, he listened to the things other students brought up. Hmm. Definitely sounded like interesting creatures. "Hey aren't those Hunters humans? But they're not normal ones..." he piped up suddenly.

----------------------------------------

Donovan also arrived in class late, but his reasoning was actually pretty sincere on the not-caring front. He'd heard plenty of things about humans from the older members of his species, and didn't feel like he needed to take this class. But he was somewhat bored and ... there wasn't really much else going on. Still, he seemed not to be paying much attention. The Urban Spectre didn't even sit down, leaning against the back wall instead with his head bobbing slightly to the beat of the music coming from his headphones. He made no effort to participate in the discussions going on at the moment.
