Drako once again rolls towards a neutral corner to pull himself up, this time standing and leaning against the turnbuckle to survey the action. No need to keep rushing in as the ring fills up

Bad Boy is just starting to pull himself up using the ropes, he would stay on one knee, watching the ring fill up. He felt like he was in a good position, had plenty of energy for the rest of the Rumble!

Cartwright can tell that Ultimo Clown is out on his feet and looks to capitalise on it in a big way. Cartwright looks to lift Ultimo Clown on to his shoulders for a Cartwright Crash Burning Hammer, dumping the poor lad over the top rope and to the outside of the ring in the most devastating way he can!

Another shot took, but it was to the stomach and ribs rather than the head. He could accept that much. Keeping up to his feet, Jay's eyes would lock on his next target, it seemed. Someone he didn't quite recognize, but it was someone looking to take home a win.

Melissa was feeling quite pleased with herself after her shoulder thrust gave Jay some discomfort, she looked to follow up with a series of knee strikes to the same area of Jay's body that had fallen victim to her shoulder thrust. Melissa is really looking to make a statement tonight's Royal Rumble, whether or not she wins.

Jay would take a couple of those knee strikes before finally throwing his first elbow of the match, aimed for the head of the woman.

Melissa was caught off guard by Jay's elbow strike to the side of her head which caused Melissa to stumble backwards. With a hand placed firmly on the side of her head, she was heard chuckling as she pushed her hair out of her face with her other hand. Her red eyes were filled with excitement as she stared at Jay after the blow to the head. Jay's elbow strike certainly hurt Melissa's head but she was a tough woman, she wasn't about to cry over it either. This time however Melissa charged at Jay and attempting to dropkick him whilst he was still recovering from the knee shots.

Ultimo Clown was lifted up onto the shoulders of Cartwright. His arms and legs drooping from the sides. Suddenly Clown felt his legs behind pushed above his head, and the momentum took Clown over the top rope, his legs missing the apron all together as his back slammed onto the outside floor! The crowd let out a "YEAHHHH!" at Cartwright, for not only the first elimination of the match, but one that was quite impressive!

BZZT! "Red Eyes and Tears" by Black Rebel Motorcycle ClubThe reaction of the audience after witnessing last year's Wrestlemania was astounding. The lights had dimmed everywhere in the arena except for over the ring to keep an eye on the action. It was rumored that since the Rumble was coming to Sacramento, AJ's new city of residence, that he could make a cameo appearance. But after that vicious double knockout retirement match between him and King, nobody knew the circumstances of their careers. His fate was a mystery no more, as the sweet nostalgia echoed through his guitar riffs. The audience sang along with opening lyrics of his theme song, per tradition. RED EYES AND TEARS, NO MORE FOR YOU MY LOVE I FEAR

NO MORE FEAR, NO MORE FEAR, I'M IN LOVE. The lights switched back on and revealed the now 43-year-old AJ Warner, shaven head and signature look of determination. He was on a mission to remind everyone in that ring who the Suplex Shooter was, regardless of name. He walked down to the ring without acknowledging any fans; it was time to do what he never did and add this Rumble win to his legacy.

Danielson had a cocky smile on his face as he caught the kick from Bob Holly and held it for a second before attempting to knock the vet down to the mat with kick low sweeping kick to Holly's leg!

Not too often that someone found enjoyment out of an elbow from the Eclipse. Finding some interest, Jay returned the smirk as he kept his place in the corner. Eyes watched the woman make the charge and Jay's reaction was to take the dropkick, seeing how he had no room to dodge. He kept on his feet, using the ropes as support and yet maintaining his smile.

Cartwright watches Ultimo Clown hit the floor outside the ring and he's glad that he isn't the one landing like that. The sight and the roar of the crowd pump Cartwright up, he pounds his chest with both hands Sting style in excitement. Cartwright notices that Drako is resting in the corner and decides to charge towards him with a Stinger Splash!
JR: "GOOD GAWD, KING! ULTIMO CLOWN MAY BE BROKEN IN HALF! WHAT A SPECTACULAR FIRST ELIMINATION FOR CARTWRIGHT AND THE ROYAL RUMBLE ITSELF!"
King: "I hope Ultimo Clown likes the taste of hospital food after that one! Who am I kidding, clowns don't earn enough to afford hospital care here in America!"

good thing Drako is standing this time. Cartwright charges in and for once he has a clear way to put the Englishman down. As Cartwright charges in, Drako attempts to meet him with a superkick to the jaw

Drako counters with a good old fashioned kick to the face as he catches The Extraordinary Englishman with his boot to Cartwright's chin as he begins his descent from the splash! Cartwright drops to the mat as the crowd gasps at the impact.

damn that felt good. Drako had been waiting to do that the entire match so far. Cartwright was just the first to give him an opening. But the Soaring Dragon isn't about to waste any time. He quickly reaches down to pull Cartwright up by the hair and attempt to send him sailing out over the top rope
