((Also your character somehow just "magically" read her opponents mind. He didn't make the crack about Polly outloud.))
[CHRONO HAS BEEN CURED OF POISON!]
[OREO HAS BEEN POISONED!]
[-2 HP FROM OREO!!!]
The voice would snort, if only because the child had made an error in judgement. Oh true her actions had succeeded, and in battle such a choice could be helpful' but if she'd attacked this would have been over in an instant. Sometimes one needed to know when to take a 'risk'. "Time to show them what error in judgement looks like my pretty little Gligar! USE POISON STING!"
Despite being in the air the Gligar would visibly sway. It was a strange thing for a Flying-type to get air sick, but frankly if this kept up it'd be more of a faux 'gunk shot' than a poison sting. She was used to having poison in her body, but it was apparently now in the wrong parts.
Resisting the urge to empty her stomach on the Murkow, the Gligar would swing her tail and loose another spray of poisonous barbs!
A charge beam was bad news on a good day, and today was suppose to be a very good day ...so Aida didn't wait. She would drop her defense as she rolls to safety away from the attack ...as the beam would crash where she had been standing only a few moments ago.
"Powerful."
Her trainer would exclaim in surprise. The girl had been expecting a more common move from the pokemon ..something like wing attack or a screech, but not something powerful like a charge beam. That took her back a little, and she had to reassess the pokemon in front of her.
Maybe not of royal blood, but definitely of good breeding.
But, if it's attack were strong, she couldn't help wondering about defense. That was one area that can and would make or break a pokemon.
"Aida use Fire Fang."
The Snubbull couldn't help the toothy grin as she would mash her teeth together quickly as a spark would seem to ignite from the constant friction. Once she was sure her fangs were on fire, she would start forward swiftly as she looks for an opening to try and literally to plunge a burning set of fangs into the pokemon.
Not the fastest pokemon, she was one that knew how to use momentum to her advantage.
The girl just flicked her wrist telling Fomantis to run towards the wimpod and attempt to avoid the attack. As daydream pointed out the girl didn't seem to be one for words but that didn't stop her from say what she wanted in other ways.

Perhaps it was the grace of Arceus, or perhaps it was the benefit of a trainer behind the Pokemon; either way the Gastly would manage it hit the Bellsprout....barely.
Yet it was not the weakness of this attack which became the focus of the disembodied voice. No there was something FAR more important on his mind. "He's not in a pot" The voice announced a bit blankly. Well it was true after all.
Surprisingly with the voice distracted, the Bellsprout would choose to act on it's own. Lifting one leg, the limb would glow green as it grew and strengthened. A moment later the Grass-Type would swing it forward; apparently intent of striking the ghost down with Vine Whip!
[Now we winf fown to the final parts of the lesson. The beginning of which is all about DEATH.]
[As we try to make clear to people from the beginning, it is a very real possibility for Pokemon to DIE in Akumu Academy. How this actually works though is fairly simple]
[When taking damage your or your opponents HP will not stop at 0, but continue on into negative numbers for however much damage they have taken. So for example say youhad 5 HP and took 7 DMG, your HP would drop to -2. If at any time your HP drops below -7, that is to say -8 or lower, your Pokemon will DIE. Once dead no number of Revives or trips to the Pokemon Center will bring them back.]
[There are certain rare items that can prevent death, or even bring a Pokemon back from the dead; however these items are incredibly rare and hard to obtain.]
[Another important note is related to RP aspects. While Humans are incapable of understanding Pokemon Speech on their own, Pokemon can understand Humans; and more importantly its possible for Pokemon to converse among each other. When a Pokemon is talking we use a combination of "quotes" and >< to indicate a Pokemon is speaking.]
"Aww, don't compliment him... seriously, don't." Daydream was quite serious. "His head will swell, and he's like ninety-percent head, so he's gonna explode..." he trailed off, imaging the bloodshed. "Oh, yeah, and... dodge or something, Puffs."
/Did you like what you see, cutie?/ Apparently, the battle was the perfect time for flirting... at least for the Woobat. He fluttered closer, chirping happily., though his cheery attitude would disappear quickly. /... baby, you're hot, but that's NOT what I what I was thinking when I wanted a kiss!/ Fluffers exclaimed, staring with growing horror as Aida lunged. Squawking, he beat his wings, taking to the sky.
CRACK.The sound would practically echo throughout the room as the Pikachu went down. She wasn't dead, but she was certainly out. For her this battle was over. "My my, someone certainly has a violent streak...I LOVE IT! GWAHAHAHAHA!" The voice announced, following close behind with his usual mad cackling. Ah today was a good day for violence! "It is my PROUD honor to welcome you to Akumu Academy! Now scamper off and finish your registration before I get bored again!"

- Battle Information - [Bael: +2 Special Attack, +1 Attack Turn Accuracy] [Bael took 3 damage! Bael is now at 11 HP! Bael tries to use Ember!]
Bael had done a good job of dodging, but as a whine from him made obvious, not quite good enough as the zoura's paw managed to catch the side of his face. Luckily, the cut wasn't too deep, and even more so, the claw only caught a cheek rather than the eye the fox pokemon had actually been aiming for."Strike back with Ember!"The houndour's left ear twitched and he couldn't help but grin as he heard his trainer's command. In his attempt to flee into the darkness, the zorua's rear end was now a prime target and one the canine just couldn't ignore.^Mind your tail!^was all the warning the small fox pokemon would get before flames were shot at his backside from the houndour's mouth.

{{OoC: Pfft! I didn't even realize I rolled a crit until I saw you note it. XD}}
The severe lack of financial compensation was quite possibly a great wound to Sol's heart than any suffered today by the Roselia. Bah he supposed they couldn't pay him for EVERYTHING around here. He wasn't here to make money, he was here to make connections...not that it would stop him from trying to make his wallet a little heavier while he was at it. Grab the bag Umbra, we've got chumps to find!" The boy would announce as he turned and marched out of the room.
The Golett for his part, would do as told and follow after the boy. It would seem they were done here.
[Exiting to....places unknown...and eventually the PokeLot]
I'll try to calculate the damage here and see if I did it right. (19+5)-13) - (5-8 ) = (11- -3 ) = 8 Total Damage
A light smirk appeared on Vincent as he listened to the voice. He certainly was confident and loved a challenge. Vincent's eyes opened widely in shock as he observed the rather silly Bagon get up from the ground and begin to charge towards them. "One shouldn't judge on appearance. He'll be strong." Vincent reminded himself. "Quick, Ralts, friend, use Shadow Sneak!"
Ralts lunged into concentration and used Shadow Sneak. A shadow spread out from under her towards the Bagon. She needed to see who would land the first hit.
[[Okay. That's a very cool effect that Shadow Sneak has! I've never actually counterattacked before so I will try to do that during this battle if it works out that way. Since I'm never done it before, not too sure how it works, but we take Fatigue damage? So is it -2 hp for every time after the first counterattack? Or is it -2 HP on the first counterattack as well.
I understand the Aim Modifier! Thank you. ]]

((19+5)-13)+(5-8 ) = 8 DMG! Egghead is at 6 HP! ((... so yes, you did it right!))
".. ahahaha!" Daydream cackled as Egghead tricked, landing headfirst in Truth's reaching shadow to take the full brunt of the assault. "C'mon, Eggy! Get up, get up and try again! Oh, and good job, little buddies!" Always compliment the opponent-- technically, it was good when they were winning!
The Bagon whimpered, slowly getting to his feet and shaking himself off. He hated battling, he really did... but there wasn't much he could do to get out of it. With a grumble, he lurched forward, claws outreached, trying to catch her in a Rage... no matter how half-hearted it was.
((The Fatigue damage kicks in if you counter twice in a row. So say you counter, attack, and then counter again... you'll take -2 HP on the second counter in a room. If you keep countering, you'll continue to take -2 damage until you take a break. Generally, we ask students not to counter during the introductory fight, but you aren't technically new, so just be careful!
It's very easy to kill a Pokemon doing a poor counter, due to the penalty or fatigue, so this is a good time to remind you that the potion you had Truth ingest will save her from death once... but ONLY once, and there's no telling how long the effects of the potion will last. ))

((8+5)-1)+(10-8 ) = 14 DMG! Fluffers is at 0 HP!
It seemed Fluffers' luck was not to last, and that Bael's had finally come to a powerful head. Bael's Ember landed right on the Zorua's start, the red flames contrasting quite nicely against the black fur for a few moments. Indeed, Fluffers hadn't even noticed at first. /... hey, is Nightmare barbecuing?/ he asked, glancing upwards. /What is that smeaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!/ He shrieked, attempting to stop, drop, and roll... but the flames had already caught him, and the little fox was turned into a tiny screaming vortex. The flames died down eventually, leaving a smoking but still-breathing lump.
"Well done, Aria and Bael!" Daydream remarked happily. "A swift and decisive blow! We'll see if you can keep that up... that kinda power'll serve you well in Akumu. Oh, welcome to the Academy!" he added quickly. "You're an official student, now, so how about you report to the Auditorium and see what you need to do next?" he suggested. "After all, there isn't much left for you here..."
Daydream was right... the shadows deepened, what little illumination the room had fading rapidly, and the Zorua's unconscious body had disappeared.
Squeake gave a nervous little chitter like a laugh; he'd landed the hit, but hadn't done much damage. This wasn't a battle he was comfortable with, so he ended up backing up, eyes fixed on the Fomantis. If his opponent lunged, he wanted to be ready.
"Ahhh, a beautiful clash!" Daydream cooed. "Still, I bet you can turn it around! C'mon, little buddies... oh, and Squeaker, you miiiiight want to get ready to dodge. dodge."
Squeaker let out a little whine, glancing back and forth. Why him? Why always him? Hissing and clicking, he began to weave back and forth in the darkness; if he was moving fast enough, perhaps the Fomantis couldn't touch him?
((Much, though I may suggest cropping it a bit or resizing it.
Now it's your turn to attack! See if you can land a hit.
On the topic of taking damage-- see, doing damage in this guild doesn't stop at 0. If a Pokemon takes damage, and it goes below -7, the Pokemon will die. Fortunately, the potion your Pokemon imbibed will rescue your starter from death... but only once, and it won't last forever, so be careful. There are some events and items that can revive the dead, but they're very rare, so don't count on them.))
A bright smile could not help but flash onto Vincent's face as his Ralt's Shadow Sneak attack landed. "Woah. Such power." He rubbed his head and looked in awe at his partner Pokemon. He was just so excited to have Ralts as his partner. Everything was going right so far.
"Thank you." Vincent responded to the kind voice. He looked at the Bagon who had suffered damage from the last attack. He felt kind of bad for it. Quickly, it was already coming in for another attack. Uh...What was next? Should I tell Ralts to defend or..wait.. Vincent rubbed his hand through his hair. He remembered reading once in his father's library..the Ghost Type move Shadow Sneak had a rather peculiar ability. He couldn't quit recall what it was. Shoulda studied harder... But he figured the risk was worth it.
"Ralts, use Shadow Sneak again!" Vincent pointed towards the Bagon.
Ralts ready to see what else the academy had to offer, let out another swift Shadow Sneak. A shadow began to form underneath Ralts and spread towards the incoming Bagon. Would this attack be as good as last time?
[[Thank you!! I'll be very careful when counter attacking, really don't want this Ralts to die. Gardevoir is my favorite Pokemon xD]]

/Mwhehe!/ Though bruised and a bit battered, Eins bounced up and down, waving her stick triumphantly. /There's no rule that a copy can't beat the original! Queen of Pokemon didn't have enough sticks!/ she crowed. The happiest flailing ghost in the world!
For a few moments, Nim just stared at the Mimikyu. On one hand, there was something charming about just a weird celebration... but honestly Pokemon truly were disturbing, relishing in pointless violence. She tore her gaze away, glancing about to see if her mysterious instructor had shown himself... but no dice. "... all right," she murmured, taking a step backward. Nim was unwilling to let her back face the darkness. "Eins, come on,"she hissed, deciding to forego the Pokeball argument for now.
Eins, like her trainer, scanned the darkness for Nightmare, but had as much success. Still, she could feel something... big. An interesting presence. /Thank you!/ she called into the void. /I promise I'll keep smashing things!/ And with that, she scampered off to Nim's side, and the pair slipped through the doors.
The girl just shrugged at the outcome of the attack and gave Fomantis a look before swinging her arm out to the side as if telling the pokemon something, >right< Fomantis clicked with a nod as she readied a weather ball at the bug pokemon. Fomantis jumped into the air and relished the attack with all its force.
