Kieran - 1

Following behind Taijana, Kieran watched her with amusement. The sights and all the colors may have been foreign to the other Yaeli, but in truth Kieran had grown accustomed to such things. While he didn't find it logical at all to be attired in such bright materials - how could one hunt or avoid someone stalking you when you stood out like a brilliant rose against dirt?- the man did have some appreciation for it. It definitely did make the crowd of people swarming about far more energetic.

In his distraction Kieran almost lost sight of Tai until he heard her squeak, "Hold on!" Smiling in some amusement the Yaeli reached out so he could safely yank her into his arms, "They're not going to bite." He whispered before taking a step back to give her some space, "Are you sure you can handle this though, Tai?" Honestly he was pretty impressed. Despite her talent of finding various ways to faint or freak out the woman had indeed made it all the way from Yael to Sauti.

He just prayed that somehow he could help her to enjoy things rather than worry, "The food here is good, I believe. Should we try some?" Kieran asked as he shifted his traveling bag on his shoulders.

Chryssa - 1

Sneaking through crowds was definitely an exciting thing. Holding her satchel tightly against her body Chryssa slipped through the throngs of people. Who knew so many earthlings could exist in one place? Her golden gaze was wide as she made certain to take in everything. Thankfully there were so many earthlings here that even Chryssa felt safe in the crowd. For once she wouldn't be that odd golden hybrid who everyone in the village instantly noted walking down the street. After all there were so many out here, including hybrids! So how could she stand out compared to them? At least that was her hope, but she did worry about if any of her family was out and about.

After all she kinda...sneaked away without her mother's approval.

Shaking her head, Chryssa shoved away the thought. This was totally fine. She'd bring home a few sweets and surely her mother would forgive her. If I even get caught for coming here. Grinning mischievously, the hybrid reached out a hand to exchange some coin for a sweet before continuing on her way through the crowds.

Zyphire - 1

Zyphire had been walking with his cousin, but quickly had gotten bored of the man browsing through the shops. What was he a woman? Surely there was something better to do than shopping for jewelry, "Kian, are you going to buy enough jewelry to appease all the women...and men... who have been asking for your time? " Shaking his head the young shifter just stretched out his arms, "Either way go do your magic charm hunting and I'll go grab some food." Something definitely did smell delicious.

With that in mind Zyphire turned on his heel so that he could venture into the crowds and maybe see what trouble could be had...

Kian - 1

Ah, the bustle of markets. Kian secretly wished his twin had been able to leave some of the sick beasts to attend, but at the same time he supposed it was good to have a chance to 'bond' with his younger cousin. "Definitely. Though I probably would have to buy a dragon's horde at this rate." He replied without flinching at his younger cousin's taunts, "Don't worry your time is coming as well. I saw a few women looking your way as well." Smirking, he raised up a string of crystals thoughtfully. Could those be enough to carve runes on?

Or would those look best in golden hair?

Flushing, Kian shoved the necklace back into the pile before turning to watch his younger cousin venturing off. "Find me something as well!" He called out before turning away with a shake of his head. Impatient and snarky. Why had the gods cursed him with a version of himself to travel with? Laughing at the thought Kian continued his browsing at the stall.

Lilif - post 2

Lilif was looking around and humming when she heard a familiar voice call her name out of the crowd. As she looked around to see who it was Crystalline slowly woke up and moved a bit closer to her neck which made her giggle a bit at the feeling. As she looked around she saw the one who belonged to the voice that called her, It was Li. As she was about to say hi back to him he was run into by an ice boy, which caused her to chuckle.

The boy was followed by an ice girl who looked a lot like him, maybe siblings she thought. She smiled and slowly makes her way over to the three of them. As she was going through she was trying her hardest not to bump into anyone. Once she got over there she let out a sigh of relief and smiled. “Hello” She says too the three Earthlings and one kitty that she can see.

Naqenni || 2

“Earthlings have always been small,” Naqenni said.

In fairness, she had never before this trip seen outsiders like these, and even the natives were scarce and distant—frightened little things that she had also seen very little of. But it still seemed like a truth set in stone, handed down through the ages. They were small, sniveling little things neither so fit for battle or anything else as she and her sisters were, bloomed directly from the roots of the earth and the magic of their goddess. Earthlings were weak, and perfect for servitude.

She realized, however, in retrospect that perhaps a child’s imaginings—or at least Nivalis’, if no other child—deserved more credence.

“One day, you’ll tower over them.” Naqenni glanced down to her younger sister. “Even if you do not grow substantially more than you already have.”

She might have meant to say more, but the moment Nivalis’ fingers then clasped hers and tugged, most other thought left her aside from the potential rampant danger of such an open, busy, and unpredictable market of earthlings—and everything else that left the younger girl’s mouth post-tug. Naqenni did, of course, follow immediately with her, and was glad at least that she had the sense to hold close but—

“Food? We do not know what their food—it may be poisoned, or—” Naqenni floundered, frowning as she attempted to further decide what actual pitfalls might come of eating such alien substances. It seemed as though the risks must surely be myriad, but her attention was instead distracted—again—by the more immediate and pressing nature of the current circumstances moment to moment.

So, she found herself paying more attention to the crowds than talking after the first objection, her fingers instead clasping to Nivalis’ a fraction tighter that they not be separated, and eyes narrowing as her antennae flicked.

“This land is too bright…” she muttered beneath her breath. “And there are so many of them…”

Eira

Itotia - Post 2

Itotia was cool as she studied the woman before her, noting the flashy garments and makeup that reminded her of Aseara and the other dancers. It was an easy assumption to assume the woman was some sort of entertainer, maybe a dancer or maybe just a host of some sort. She was full blood, of the north, thanks to her blue hair and skin, along with those bright gold eyes.

"Indeed." She responded softly, her biting tone gone but clearly protecting herself from opening up to the woman. Then, she recalled her one assignment from Aseara...to play nice and make friends.

Itotia heaved a sign, before she plastered a small smile on her fact and looked back at Eira.

"You live locally?"

Ozzrick || 2

Ozzrick’s hands darted instinctively, catching at, but not quite managing to fully dull the effect of the strange woman’s elbow jamming backwards into his gut—and he doubled over with a breathy grunt of surprise. Then, she began talking. He blinked. Well, she certainly had some variety of accent, though he couldn’t pinpoint what, and her words at least were perfectly understandable, if stiff and—

“Astray?” he asked, blinking before pulling back and shaking himself. As his eyes wandered though, down from her face, to her chest, to—well, there might have been momentary lingering there at her chest as her arms folded over it and pushed it up onto display but then his green eyes moved on. And up again. His grin returned, and he gave a quick shake of the head, several strung beads in his hair clicking together in the process. “A lady fair as you lead astray by a gentleman honorable as I? Never. And I wouldn’t dream of underestimating your…”

His gaze flicked to her weapon.

“Skills.” He looked to her face again, smiling. “I am sure you could fell me in a moment. But…” He held out a hand. “Ozzrick. And a grand pleasure to meet you, miiisss…?”

Jakkoa || 1

“You look as thrilled by the festivities as ever,” Jakkoa stated, at Hargitt’s side, but a step behind, his eyes scanning the crowds and — for once — almost wary of it. When he spotted another Oban, his gaze narrowed further, if subtly, and then—that man had lavender hair. And black crystals. “There are more people this year than usual…”

Jak, having come from a family of traveling trade merchants, had been previously on several occasions but this—this felt different. And while he still enjoyed the things in it that he usually did — it was and would be a fantastic source for trading information, learning of world events, and possibly even making a few trades while they were about.

He wasn’t, however, so sure how he felt about so many strangers—and from so far away.

“I heard…” he admitted after a pause, and then frowned because it couldn’t actually be true. But. “There are rumors that some form of the extremists from the last bug war might have ventured here. But this far north…it can’t much truth to it, don’t you think?”

Draven
Post 2

Draven had been inspecting an interesting blade, he didn't noticed that someone had been looking his Janarim. Regale on the other hand noticed the stranger looking him over. With claws digging into the soft ground beneath his feet, he turned towards the stranger. Raising his head up, a lip pulled back to show more then just saber like fangs. It was only when Regale growled lowly did Draven turn around to spot Aysun talking to Regale. that is until he turned his attention to Draven himself.

"That's alright, I would just not get too close to him. He's got some trust issues." Draven warned as he tugged at Regale to calm him down. The Janarim gave a snort before shifting a little closer to his charge. "And don't you snort at me, wasn't my fault you have these issues." Draven said to Regale as the Janarim ever watched the other hybrid, carefully.

Draven could only shake his head as he turned to adjust the strapping to the saddles bag on Regale's side. There was a bit of a hiss from one as it seemed that someone was resting inside. Draven ignored the hissing as he reached into the pouch for something. It took a moment before he pulled out a smaller pouch that held some coins, afterwards he let the flap of the pouch drop and whatever within calmed to silence once more.

"By the say, Name's Draven. The growling brute is Regale." He introduced as Regale looked away, uninterested.

Ouen - 1

They had left shortly after his return, and Shenandoah had worked double (maybe even triple) duty bearing Kalliope to the grand market all the way from Jauhar. Now the radaku was taking a well-deserved break at the little campsite they had set up alongside others at the edge of the marketplace. Ouen and Kalli had left him to nap while they wandered into the market proper on foot, peering through the crowds at all the stalls (and though the stalls at the crowd).

"Don't see why not." He shrugged at her question. "Just don't buy nothin' heavy. I ain't carryin' it back to Jauhar, and you's gettin' heavier by the minute so Shen ain't gonna be much help either. Unless you wanna sit in one of 'em crowded wagons they got goin' back and forth from all over Tendaji? Just lookin' at those makes me sick."

He feigned puking jokingly, then laughed and shook out his silvery hair. Ouen wasn't much for being cramped into right quarters, although he didn't mind a good crowd from time to time.

Juno - 1

Well, here he was -- living the dream. Well, yesterday's dream, at least. There was always a new dream to be had, always another goal on the horizon, but... for the time-being, he was enjoying his latest achievement. He had purchased a wagon and a second quhar (a pretty speckled female whom Tamim immediately took a liking to), and had been hired on by the Red Sun brewery in Sulburi. By magnificent serendipity the Grand Market started shortly after, and so his first job was to pack his wagon full of beer and turn his nose back home, towards Sauti. He couldn't have begged for a better result!

The Red Sun had already set up a large stall, and the folks there were pleased to see him arrive with the bulk of their stock. The market was already filling up so he got to work quickly, shouldering the first of the kegs and carrying it from the wagon and into the stall.

The same process was repeated many times over, although it quickly became difficult to make his way through the throng without running into market-goers. At least he hadn't stepped on anyone's toes yet!

TAU - post 2

Tau grinned at the idea of getting for for Liira. Really, he would be getting food for himself, and he would just so happen to be getting what Liira wanted at the same time, which is an absolute win on both accounts. "Yeah, that sounds great. What did you want?"

He led her over to some of the stalls to their left, the ones with the big platters of food. Things he could feel satisfied with, not those small dinky meat-on-a-stick type places. He pointed to one of the vendors that was selling a particularly heaping meat and noodle combination. "What about one of those? If you're wanting to try other things after we can always split a plate?" Tau suggested, shrugging his shoulders.

LIIRA - post 2

Liira sighed with relief when Tau led her to the food stalls. One of the good things about having Tau around is that on the rare occasions that she did demand things from him, he listened and obliged. He pointed out some large pile of something and Liira felt her nose pinch up. "Ew, no. I don't think so." She shook her head. She wasn't in the mood for that.

"I'm all for sharing, but not that... whatever it is. Let's find something else." She tried to lead him away, to something not so greasy looking.

YEJIDE - post 2

Her fruit was mostly gone when she noticed an Oban boy looking not much younger than her approaching the closest stall to herself. He stuck out in the crowd like a sore thumb, seemed to be pretty deep in thought, frowned, then resumed a slightly happier emotion.

Yejide called out to him from where she was sitting on the ground. "Got a lot on your mind?" She asked. Any Oban who came all the way out here, without something to sell, seemed to be getting away from something lately, or at least that was her experience.
