"Aha, now I remember." Misha accepted her cup from Mal and then raised it in salute to Asher. "Thank you for your quick thinking and fast hands." She winked, blew him a quick kiss, and then sipped her drink. The alcohol content in it made her eyes widen a bit but she kept any other reaction negligent. Mal had put in a healthy shot of vodka but it tasted far stronger than that. Who else had been playing bartender with the punch, she wondered.
Did it matter?
Shrugging mentally, she turned her winning smile on Caleb and Ed as well. "So are there any other heroes here?" she asked, tempting mischief in her tone.

Oh, this was just too much. The brawler could barely contain himself as he watched another man(and Misha) wander over, and lay a surprise kiss on Asher's unsuspecting cheek. The resulting startled reaction had the blonde snorting into his punch glass, pale eyes gone shiny in amusement--and growing intoxication--as the new comer proclaimed Asher a hero.
Heroes deserve kisses "Is that so?" Ed grinned at the smaller man, expression promising a thorough ribbing later, but Misha's question distracted him.
"As a matter of fact, I do believe a certain bear threw himself in harms way to protect a certain Aphrodite Chosen." He gave Misha a significant look, the corners of his mouth twitching up. "I think I recall a panther saving my a** from some kind of weird ox, too."

Now he remembered where he'd seen Beth before: he had helped with the couch in the hotel in the Alps. Rob had all but forgotten about moving the couch to block the window so the birds wouldn't get in. How could he have forgotten? And how could he not remember a girl as pretty as Beth? It must have been the heat of battle.
Smirk still in place, Rob gently took Beth's offered hand and raised it, bending over in a slight bow. "Pleasure's all mine, love," he purred, British accent coming through strong. He brushed his lips against her fingers, careful not to do anything gauche like linger too long or drool. Nothing more off-putting than a wet hand kiss, he at least knew that much.
Straightening, he was slow to release her hand, and when he finally did, it was with a small squeeze. This was going to be an interesting evening indeed.
He moved away from the doorway with the others (he was glad they decided to move -- the draft blowing up beneath his kilt from the door opening and closing as people came in was starting to annoy him). Placing his arm around Mercy, he gave her a squeeze. "So what are your plans this evening? More mischief, I presume." He then took a good look at what she was wearing. "Holy s**t, you look hot tonight." Yeah, interesting evening indeed.

For a long moment, Asher just stood there -- still stunned, perhaps, too much so to even properly reply. He blinked at Mal, his expression a bit flat, and then at Mischa, and then decided the only solution, really, was to down his drink. One long gulp and it was gone, working its way downward to take the edge off this entire interaction.
Then, without a word, he took two steps away from the lot of them, abandoning his empty glass on the edge of the table. If they wanted to keep teasing, they'd have to follow him across the room to settle next to Rob.
"Hey man." He nudged him, once, sideways. Didn't know [or at least didn't remember] his name, but one look at the dreadlocks told him a lot about Rob. He reached into his pocket and tipped something into his hard to show the other man.
"Got a light?" It was an easy kind of offer. They'd probably have to duck out on the party, at least for a bit, but...
It was hard to not be cheerful when Beth was so clearly excited. Thus, despite the lingering bad taste in her mouth from Circe, Sylvia giggled at Beth’s comment. Unfortunately, she didn’t have a clever quip to follow, but looked over Beth and her costume once more and gave a nod, “That sounds about right to me.” Beth was gorgeous, and if nothing else she could imagine either one of them breaking at least a few hearts – though that seemed mostly up to Misha for the evening.
Despite their move, Beth was ever the social butterfly – which was not a surprise. Sylvia followed her gaze to the Songtao and Briiva and grinned – everyone had really put in the effort to dress up, and some of the costumes were just incredible. Sylvia nodded in agreement at Beth’s comments, but was distracted slightly by Brian’s mention of punch.
“Oh, yes, and probably some food as well.” She looked to Beth to see if she wanted to join them in travelling to the table. If not, Sylvia was perfectly happy to unweave their arms and let Beth continue making rounds; if Beth did want to join, Sylvia would lead them in the general direction of refreshments. Instead of following Brian, however, she headed for food first, figuring it would be easier to gather food with two hands and then set one plate of food down to ladle a drink than to get a drink first and leave it unattended for more gathering. Or maybe Brian would be kind enough to get her a drink while she gathered food and she wouldn’t have to worry about either situation.

She waved cheerily at Songtao, even if it ruined her self-professed badass vampire queen persona. She managed to look resplendent and adorable. There was a quiet dignity to her that Beth respected. "Song! She called, still waving. "Lookin' good, sweetheart!"
Songtao perked up at the sound of her name, looking through the crowd until she identified the speaker. Beth had taken the time to talk to her after they recovered Griffin, which Songtao had appreciated.
"Thank you! You look very..." she tried to think of an appropriate compliment, "Glamorous! Are you Camilla?"
Sage of Chaos
"Aren't you hot in all of that?". Izzy asked, appearing as if by magic by the punch bowl and subsequently, Songtao. The Artemis Chosen was dressed in an outfit she seemed born to wear - a bright orange halter top and same-colored orange hot pants, with a wide belt in a sort of Mod era style. She trotted around in bright orange pleather boots, and peeked into the punch.
"No," replied Songtao curtly. She wished she was warmer, maybe she would suss out whoever had some alcohol on them later. "It's polyester. What are you, anyway?"
Misha's gaze slid to Ed at his words, direct and more than slightly impudent. At the sight of his usually solemn mouth twitching, she rolled her eyes heavenwards and sighed dramatically. "If I knew you were going to hold it against me, Stud, I might have prevented your noble sacrifice," she chuckled. Then she took a few slow, slinky steps closer to him, ending up at his elbow.
Misha lowered her dark lashes and looked up at him from beneath the fan of them. "You mean me saving you didn't cancel it out? Pity. Then again, I kind of had to save you." She smirked. "It would have been such a waste to let you get mauled by wildlife. But you were saying..."
As she trailed off, she settled her small hand on his shoulder and rocked forward and up slightly on her heels until her mouth came within a breath of his cheek. "Mah hero," she drawled, pure Southern honey. Then her lips landed on his skin - first on his cheekbone, second just at the corner of his twitching mouth. "There ya go."

Mal grinned wickedly and drank when Misha did -- the punch was strong, but not strong enough (yet). He promised himself he'd add a little more later, if he didn't see anyone else add to it. Punch at parties was just a fast way to get drunk, and he didn't see any reason to change that tradition, especially not now.
He watched Asher down his drink, and hid his grin behind his cup. "Aw, no, I scared him off." He was laughing with his expression, not aloud, but he watched the bigger man who told Misha he'd been saved by a panther.
"They certainly do. Don't you know fairytale rules?" Mal still sounded amused. Maybe he'd been waiting to embarrass Asher with that kiss for a while. "Heroes get kisses, princesses get heroes. Since we've moved into fairytale land, we might as well play by the rules." And by 'play by the rules', Mal really meant 'mess with the rules', more than anything.

Brian had been expecting Sylvia to follow, but instead she made a beeline for the food. Well, alright. He motioned to Beth with raised eyebrows as he gestured with the vodka toward the punch. He was more than willing to take her along and help her to some booze, but he also understood if she'd rather head off with Sylvia or find someone else in the crowd.
At the nearest punch bowl, he made himself a glass, popped open the vodka bottle, poured some in, and tasted.
...eh, could do with a little more.
He added just a bit, and then tried to not-blast another cup. It wouldn't do to get everyone drunk, at least not right away. He did want to get Sylvia something to drink, though. She'd seemed more than okay with the vodka.

The answer would've been that yes, Mercy did like what she had seen when she lifted Rob's kilt but she decided she would keep that thought to herself. She gave her flirty friend an innocent smile, tilting her head. "What do you mean?" She looked to Lex next, blinking with wide eyes. "Wow! You look amazing!" It was like they belonged in the Jazz era, which she had to agree that it was a great era for sophisticated, yet flashy fashion.
They pronouns? Sure~ Mercy pawed at her hair with a slight blush. "Thank you. Usually, the only thing I can manage is a sloppy high bun..." She wanted to touch the smooth looking bob but refrained from the notion. "I completely understand....It takes me hours to get this mess straightened..." She followed the movement of the group as they left the entrance and more into the gym, giving Rob a squeeze back.
"Always up to no good. Gotta keeps myself entertained somehow~" At the comment, she rolled her eyes and laughed, doing a courtesy. "Why thank you. I was going to go as Harley Quinn. Have you seen Suicide Squad yet?" If he hadn't, she would pull out her phone and show him the picture herself. Man, she could've been cold having to walk all the way from her dorm to the party in short shorts. She did notice Asher coming towards the group, holding in a small laugh at his choice of costume. Who didn't know about Waldo?
Ed gave another amused snort, but if he'd had anything to say in response to her little jab, that sauntering, swaying walk towards him kept him quiet as he watched her slid up close to him. She was being exceptionally awful, but then he did suppose it fit the character she currently dressed as. An embodiment of the seductive, crafty cat burglar.
She leaned in closer, a hand on his shoulders, and he stayed still as she kissed his cheek, brushed lips at the corner of his mouth, but then he turned. Meeting her gave from inches away. A hand coming up to settle lightly on her hip.
"By that logic," he mused softly, voice probably only loud enough for Misha and Mal to hear. "Does that make miss Kyle here a princess?" He flashed her a playful grin.

Mercy's wide-eyed innocent act didn't play with Rob, and he gave her a knowing smirk, though he didn't say anything. He honestly didn't care about the kilt-lifting; in fact, he'd probably be mooning people himself before the night was over. Yeah, it was turning into that kind of party. But with this lot, he wasn't terribly surprised.
"Harley Quinn? No, I haven't seen Suicide Squad, but I've seen pictures. You would have made a cute Harley. But I think I like your current outfit better." Steampunk burlesque? Oh hell yes. She had just the shape to pull off an awesome burlesque dancer costume. And as he'd observed to her, she looked sexy as hell in it.
Just then Rob noticed Asher approaching, and he suppressed a snicker. That was the most half-assed Waldo he'd ever seen. The diminutive Hermes Chosen palmed something, then surreptitiously showed it to him and asked about a light. Rob knew full well what Asher meant. "Yeah, mate, hang on a mo." He gave Mercy another squeeze. "Be back soon, right?" he smiled, kissing the top of her head before disengaging himself from both her and Lex and stepping away to join Asher.
"Lead on."

Mal, despite the fact that he'd been kissing Misha's hand and flirting with her not ten minutes ago, watched Misha flirt with Ed and didn't seem to have a problem with it. If anything, his grin was a little bit wider than it had been.
"Everyone's a princess. Or a prince, depending on how your preferences go." But he definitely looked amused. Tonight was going to be fun and he would be disappointed if he didn't wake up tomorrow with a hangover.

Lex gave a soft smile. "Thank you, I get a bit invested in Halloween." They smoothed down a bit of they gauzy over cloak, following along to get out of the door way. Lex looked over, giving a small nod to Asher and then Rob.
"I think I'm going to browse the food," Lex murmured, excusing themselves to find something to munch on.
Asher's eyes skated, briefly, to Mercy -- taking in the laugh and raising an eyebrow in question. Not that he really wanted to engage in a sparring match, verbal or otherwise, right now. His plan was, in fact, the exact opposite.
He needed a bit of chill, and the sugary alcohol in the punch bowl simply wasn't doing it.
So instead of challenging her as to her laughter, he waved her off, focusing on Rob instead. They could trail out together, Asher already starting to look calmer as they found their way into the fresh air.
