"Who the ******** asked you?" Aulus snapped as he looked the tattooed man down and further down with a pointed flex of his hands. If this had just been a fun day out he wouldn't have reacted so strongly but damnit he had a job to do here and he didn't want some nosy pretty boy getting underfoot.

Oooh, tetchy! Tetchy with a large scar on his face and was that a robotic hand? Of course one could lose body parts and acquire scars while living a mostly innocent life especially if you were a bad tempered sort but with his own background being what it was Zevran was well aware that there was also a wide range of far less than innocent ways to acquire such injuries. Interesting!
Zevran spread his hands in a gesture of innocence and gave the scarred man a slightly hurt look. "I offer my opinion freely, no requests are needed! Oh, look at that will you?" he gestured to a... what, a bipedal lizardy thing? Well whatever it was it was doing its best to get away fast. "It seems the pokemon are very agitated around here yes?"
"No s**t Sherlock."

"You certainly are grumpy," Zevran observed with a grin, sliding his shades down his nose a little so that he could look at the scarred man over them. He had been about to say more but Stardust hummed, drawing his attention down to something she had just uncovered in the sand. "Hu?" Zevran hunkered down and peered at the strange green powder. "What's this then?" he wondered aloud, narrowly resisting the impulse to poke at it just in case it was dangerous.
A confused, angered Plusle popped up from behind and rock and had possible been about to do something creative when Char landed with a heavy thud and Thanatos leapt lightly off his back to the ground it thought better of it and hastened away.
Aulus however was preoccupied by the stuff the stranger had just found; he crouched too and studied it closely. Right. He needed to get hold of this, or at least some of it, but without acting too weird about it. "Dunno but it's pretty, I want it," he said, looking up from the powder to the stranger's face.
"Oh? Maybe I do too, and I saw it first!" Zevran grinned. Honestly he had no use for a stranger powder whatsoever but if the grumpy man wanted it maybe he would take it out of pettiness... Or get something in return for it anyway. "I will sell it to you, how about that? Fifty."
"What? You think I just have fifty dollars with me?" He could just take it, the rest of his team was arriving now, they could crush this lot like bugs- in fact like the Caterpie sitting on the man's shoulder.
"Well, do you?" Zevran grinned.
"...Yes." ******** it, it was easier this way and if the stuff did turn out to be of any use he could probably claim back out of petty cash. Scowling darkly Aulus fetched out his wallet and held out three tens and a twenty. "But you also have to piss off and leave me alone," he said, holding the money just out of reach.
Zevran considered this offer for a few moments before shrugging and nodding. "Very well we have a deal, but you have hurt my feelings terribly with your cruel manner and I hope you feel bad about it."
"Yeah, my heart bleeds," Aulus sneered as he passed over the cash and then fetched his berry box out of a pocket, tossed the contents to his pokemon, and then carefully scooped the powder into the empty container.

Aulus slipped his berry box back into his pocket and made a shooing gesture at the stranger. "Now go away, will you?" ...The strange and his eight pokemon? Were some of the wild or something? Ugh, well it wasn't important just so long as he went away.
Juno thumped one clawed hand into the other pointedly and tossed her horn in the air, grinning at Amigo as she did you. <>
<> Tortie added with a fanged smirk.
[Zev: Area 3: Balloon has a balloon]
Zevran grinned and tucked the money into his pocket; "Never let it be said I do not know when I have outstayed my welcome!" he said brightly. He often chose to ignore the fact if it amused him to do so but perhaps not today, he didn't much feel like getting into a fight with the man's tough looking pokemon.
"Chao then friend!"
With that and a cheerful wave Zevran set off in a direction picked at random with his pokemon plus Scully and the balloon pokemon following behind him.
As they moved across the sand the Drifloon noticed a shiny burst balloon on the ground and reached down to coil one of its tendrils around it. Then, as breezes made it a little difficult to keep on course for the small pokemon, it used its other tendril to catch hold of one of the Sylveon's own floaty appendages.

Just as one annoyance disappeared another came by, another angry sparky Joltik. Luckily he didn't have to pay this one to make it go away; Red made it go away in a rather permanent fashion and then stood there looking pleased with herself even though the feathers on her face were standing on end a bit.
Aulus shook his head and glanced around, the stranger was still walking away and nobody else was too close by so he tapped out another message to the e-drop: Acquired unknown green powder from debris field, continuing search. Aggressive pokemon encounters continue, seem to becoming more aggressive as time passes.

One angry man was replaced by one even angrier Pikachu, one of the few pokemon he knew the name of that that neither he, Abel, nor Taavi owned. Why the little yellow rats were so popular he had no idea especially as this one kept trying to shock him but happily his own pokemon soon enough took care of the issue even assisted by the balloon pokemon following them. He had to recall Estoque to her pokeball when the electric type tried to retreat however, she seemed quite intent on making lunch out of it.
"We still need to work on her manners," Zevran commented with a shake of his head to the other assembled pokemon. She was a lot better now than she had been, she no longer turned on him or his team, but she didn't seem to know or care when a battle was over and so was not ready for friendly battles yet. He wasn't ready to trust her as a steed quite yet either, hence Scully's presence today.
Once the Pikachu was well away Zevran released Estoque from her pokeball again and wagged a finger at her severely. "Estoque we have spoken of this, if you try to eat your opponent when you have defeated it you do not get treats. ¿Comprendes?"
The Skarmory glared, snapped her toothed beak and flared her blade-like wings but when her trainer just kept looking at her, raised an eyebrow and folded his arms over his chest she hissed and relented with a nod. Not getting to finish them off but treats later was better than the reverse.
"Ah good I am glad we understand one another. You will be more polite with the next one?"
Estoque nodded again but she scuffed grumpily at the ground at the same time, rules were no fun.

Aulus' pokemon fanned out again but given the number of pissed off wild ones that seemed to be around now he kept Tortie by his side, just in case there was anything big and nasty lurking under the sand. There didn't seem to be too much of interest in his immediate vicinity - though he did pause to photograph and then collect a spent shell casing because it was slightly out of the ordinary - and so Aulus move on.
