"Why is that? Do you find trying to pry into private affairs of people to be 'fun' normally?" he dryly asked.

"Well when y'put it that way I sound like a real ********' p***k." She stuck her tongue out. "Most people'd call it gettin' t'know yer friends."

"Yes well I am not really an open person. It has always been that way. People know things as needed. Anything more than that is really not necessary."

"F'I didn't know that by now I think I'd be brain dead," she said with a snort. Shun had made all of the former obvious by day one. "Don't worry- I like you just the way you is. You just need a little push here an' there."
Sometimes in the form of free food.

Shun scoffed lowly at that, not really giving an actual verbal response otherwise. He finished his tea, then waited for their small, small bill so that they can go on and get out of here.
"Do I really?"

"Yeah. F'people don't ask you nothin' you don't give nothin'. So someone's gotta do the askin'."
She gestured to herself. "An' lucky fer you, that someone is me."

"Except I do not really given anything even when asked," Shun pointed out.

She listed each thing and held up a finger with each one like it was a test. "You don't like sweets, you miss New York, you got some kind of beef with yer dad, you got nightmares so bad you got a pet and-" She leaned forward across the table and whispered, "Yer ********' nuts when yer drunk."
Chel leaned back again. She didn't look smug so much as she looked pleased. "I pick up on more than y'think even without you answerin', hot shot."

Shun's fingers twitched as she began to rattle off a list of things about him. But he didn't say anything in response. He just stared at Chel quietly instead.

"M'never gonna force you t'tell me everythin'. M'just sayin' m'good at listenin' and I like listenin' t'you." The waiter was quickly approaching and Chel didn't want to make Shun any more uncomfortable than he was. "Think it over."
When the waiter finally arrived she engaged that guy instead so Shun wouldn't have to respond. Maybe Chel was trying to keep him from responding. Things were easier when she didn't have to worry about consequences or rejection even for small dinnerside conversations.
Bill signed and tip left (a paultry $2 and in quarters no less because it was all Chel had on her), Chel stood and waited for Shun to do the same.

Shun didn't really want to respond to that anyway. He just turned his attention to the waiter once he came back with the bill. He left a bigger tip for the guy, since he had some more cash on him than just that. The meal may have been mostly free but the guy still deserved a decent tip. The food service industry sucked.
When that was all done, he picked up his helmet and got up from his chair, ready to head on out. All he did was cast a glance towards Chel to see if she was doing the same.

At least there was a glance. Maybe that was progress?
Chel trailed after him until they got back to his motorcycle. She pulled the helmet out of the plastic bag it had been until now and strapped it over her head. The bag, on the other hand, got tucked into her back pocket.
"So where do I sit? S'it like the movies where m'behind you or what?" She possibly looked too excited at the moment. The combination of a motorcycle and an action movie might have been too much.

"I cannot steer easily if you are in front of me." he muttered, "Also lower your damn expectations. The roads are still wet and I am not accustomed to riding with a passenger."
Both of those meant he was going to need to take extra precautions when driving around. And as if on cue, there was a flash of lighting and rain began to fall from the skies once more. Shun just sighed at this.
With a shake of his head, he mounted on the bike, then waited for Chel to climb on behind him.

"You could go a mile an hour an' I'd still be happy," she said with a bit of a skip to her steps.
She climbed on behind him and put her arms around his stomach. Normally she wouldn't have been so forward since she knew Shun didn't like touch but it was sort of hard when she needed to hang on. She rested her chin (or rather the edge of her helmet near her chin) on the back of his shoulder. "Can you do wheelies and s**t? Not with me here 'course, just mean in general."

Shun opted to ignore that question. Once Chel was more or in place, he fired up the engines and... began to drive. Slowly.
Very.
Slowly.
The rains were picking up a bit, which was also making it a bit hard to see. No windshield wipers for his helmet and all.
