Looking up with shock, Athena listened to the voice calling her, the urgency causing her great concern. "Calm down Ayane! I'm coming!" She called back to the maid while stooping down to pick up her darling little dog and finally hurrying towards the door. "What's this about a fire?" She murmured while opening the door fully to reveal the young phoenix looking terribly paniced.

You aren't the most comforting person after all, and I've been cooped up in my room for the last month. Wouldn't a little adventure be alright so long as I don't over do it?" Out in the hall there seemed to be a bit of a misunderstanding...
When Ayane was being brought up in her broken little house there wee,
miraculously, hardly any fires. Mind you, she hadn't spent a night in that old shed counting the types of warfare she should expect that night--any night;
and she never talked about how many times those had spilled into her dreams, her mind apparently too thick with the gloominess, when she came down for breakfast and was caught between leaping out of the path of a roaring fire, perhaps a spider, or crushing her dearest sister, sabotuese,
for instigating such atrocities in the first place. For she was always certain there was something happening when she closed her eyes, just as she had given up the watch...
No matter what, though, the girl was wise enough to know that when there was fire below, people moved.
"Erm... Could we please...?" She wouldn't be the one to spell it out--and so no one would--but the maid did simply start off down the hall. Farbeit from her to tell the esteemed royalty of this land of gold and gems to, well, MOVE. ❁º°‘¨ ¨‘°º❁x

Down the steps she went, taking in a lungfull of stale smoke and coughing...
The footsteps resumed, and the help finally was reunited with her dearest sister, mirror-image. The two of them regarded each other with the quiet fierceness becoming of cats, not people--well, not people who are meant
to work together. There was this heaviness in the room; it floated up like the smoke, clung to ceiling, waited there... Tongues cleaved to the palettes; focus in the eye turned objects into reactions; that was, until the others came to meet them (if they did...).
"Oh, Emit--nonono, let me help you!" Wading into the haze. "Just because you made a mistake, that doesn't mean you should have to shoulder the burden of cleaning up! It's everyone's--" here an inconvenient coughing fit-- "ahem!

Her brothers wedding had been a splendid event that had gone smoothly, which she was glad for. Naturally she had managed to remain hidden within the ballroom thanks to the gown she had chosen to wear, but now it was time to bond a little with her new sister-in-law. So she had asked a maid to invite the new queen to her chamber for some tea,
feeling that it would feel much less formal and allow them to talk the way she and her brothers used to all the time. While she waited in her sleepwear she giggled at her little chihuahua and held a gentle hand to her belly, almost feeling as if something wasn't natural on this fine morning. Perhaps it was just the anticipation of being able to better know her new sister.

 xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Queen Elentiya Llewellyn Elentiya stood outside her sister in laws door, biting her lip slightly as she looked down at the ground, passed the golden floral pattern of her dress. She never thought she looked good in gold, but now that she was a Llewellyn and not a Drosselmeyer she couldn't go about wearing red and silver, however eventually she knew that she would be glad to ease back into the greens that she wore. She had been in the royal gardens when the servant had come to her with Athena's invitation and she had excepted it immediately, wanting to think of anything besides her wedding night. a bright blush appeared on her cheeks and she quickly shook her head to rid herself of those thoughts before raising her hand and knocking on the door. Elentiya would wait a few seconds before turning the handle and walking inside "Princess Athena?" she said and then smiled as she looked over at the girl. She found it slightly odd now being ranked above her sister in law since Athena had been born and raised in Zalto...in fact just being Queen was awkward to her, but Elentiya put it out of her mind as she walked into the room and closed the door behind her and walked over to a chair, sitting down across from her sister-in-law.

"You needn't call me by title Queen Elentiya, we are sisters now." She murmured gently while shifting a little in her seat to get comfortable. Thankfully it wasn't long after the queen had arrived that the maid came along with the tea. "I thought perhaps you could use the time away from queenly duties and newly wed life to enjoy some normal sisterly bonding over a warm relaxing cup of tea." She said with a slight giggle and bright smile.

I'm new to being a queen and all so I'm learning from Dowager Valeska." Elentiya took a sip of the tea and sighed "I never thought I would ever be a queen or anything. Normally first and second daughters marry prince's and Kings...Third daughters dukes, I'm a fourth daughter, I should have married into nobility like my sister Ursula, but this is...." "Don't worry about it. You don't have to break the habit right away, just remember that it's no longer needed." She replied before taking a slow sip from her cup and smiling warmly. "Mother is a good teacher, so you'll learn the duties in no time. Plus she'll be nearby if you need extra help or have questions." She murmured before shaking her head a little. "That's not always the case though. I mean if one was to really think about it a princess should be marrying those their family chooses them to, yet your father wished for my brother to marry one of your sisters. Instead Aldon chose you because you are gentle, kind and fair. For me... I might have ended up married to your brother Valter had it not been for my falling in love with Roland and this." She said while placing a hand on her baby belly. "Besides I get the feeling Aldon is very fond of you and that you're very fond of him too."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Queen Elentiya Llewellyn Elentiya smiled "I am happy" she said softly "that he is kind" she said as she took another sip of her tea "it could have ended up a lot worse" she said with a sigh before looking over at Athena when she mentioned Valter, she hadn't seen her older brother in a very long time, but she was well aware of his cruelty. Elentiya was put off her tea and she put it down on the table "It's probably a good thing that you didn't marry my brother, Valter has never been known for being exceptionally kind or forgiving....you would have had to do everything he said without question and even guess what he wanted some times or he might fly off the handle.... he is much more like father then he wants to admit" Elentiya said and looked up at Athena "That being said though.... have you never wanted to be Empress?" she asked her "even within my family their is infighting to sit on the throne my father posses, you do not covet such a thing?" she asked, keeping the obvious that the Empire could easily destroy Zalto, silent. It was probably the only reason she was queen right now, her father had strongarmed his way again.

Of course she quietly listened to the new queen as she talked about her brother, nodding slightly to agree with some of what had been mentioned.
"Yes I'm very glad I didn't end up married to your brother... I had heard a number of stories about his cruelty and his dislike of most women. In truth I was terrified by the idea of being forced to marry such a man." She murmured before setting down her cup and looking up at her sister-in-law. "Had that been my fate then I would have accepted it, but it's not something I desire truthfully. Thankfully that was not my fate though, and I have the chance of marrying for love." She answered in an honest tone before breathing a soft sigh. "All I covet is the happiness of my family and the people of Zalto. Beyond that I simply want to be with Roland and our child. Those reasons alone are why I chose to blend into the decor of the ballroom yesterday. I knew some members of your family would be attending and I didn't wish for things to reach your father...." She replied before breathing another soft sigh. "Your father could easily destroy Zalto if he so wished it, though Aldon and the army would put up a good fight. I didn't want to give him a reason to entertain the idea of taking over my home and the home of my beloved Roland..."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Queen Elentiya Llewellyn Elentiya looked up at Athena "Given the chance my father would break the back of the Republic" she said softly "and if you had married my brother you would have become a hostage in order to bring Zalto to order" Elentiya frowned "I hear that since my father remarried he has been a changed man, but I'm not sure how much stock I should place in his change as I've heard that with each of his wives he changed some how. Elentiya said aloud "Given the right circumstances my father would attack Bellris, even if you were their with your beloved, he would sacrifice you in order to get what he wants...that's all he ever does" she sighed and then shook her head and looked up at Athena "but on a happier note I heard that my stepmother had a baby girl, if we're lucky maybe my little sister and the Former queen of Bellris' son could get along and forge an alliance weather in love or in duty" Elentiya said as she took up the tea again and finished off her cup "Wouldn't it be nice if everyone could get along?"

"Yes I know all too well how much your father wishes the republic be brought back under his thumb and that he would eagerly jump at any chance to do so." She replied gently before nodding once more and frowning as well. "That would most likely have been true had I been forced to marry your brother, but that is not going happen now and your brother will more than likely be told to marry another." She stated in a gentle tone before giggling lightly. "I've heard news that he has changed as well, but like you I don't place much stock in it. I will however say that the new Empress will more than likely keep him on a gentler path to getting the things he wants, but only time will tell how much he has truly changed." She agreed before once again sighing and nodding."Yes given the right circumstance your father would attack Bellris, even with me standing by Roland's side, but that doesn't deter me from being with the one I love. Given the choice I would stand and fight with Roland before even thinking of bowing to the whims of your father... not that I wouldn't at least attempt to keep things peaceful." She said while looking down at the table. After a moment however she looked back up at her sister-in-law and smiled warmly. "Yes Empress Ambrosia had a baby girl so perhaps she and Hysteria's son will bring the two lands together some day. It would be the best if it could be done through love instead of duty, but should they be joined for duty then hopefully they would grow to love one another.... just as I hope you and Aldon will do." She agreed before giggling once again and finally picking her tea cup back up. "It would be wonderful if everyone could get along, and maybe one day with the help of our teachings they will. Our children are the future of the lands, so it is possible they will have the same views as we do now."
