When the astral pawed the ground near him he was initally confused but the look over the edge clued him in. "Good job on staying quiet, good thing you have your friend up here to tell me." Without another word, Vanu moved the barrel so Orynoko could get the other side of the area, he had sectioned. He was actually impressed with how fast he had got it done, not that it would ever actually be said. But, he had already set the boundaries and didn't feel like re-scaling them, tomorrow he would double the area. It would be funner while the ship was moving, if he actually made this the task. Who knows what tomorrow would yield. Vanu idly stirred the soapy water bucket as he waited for Orynoko to finish.

There was a sense of discomfort at the fact that Orynoko had to rely on Vanu not dropping him into the ocean as he clung to the ropes. A nasty glare was shot at the boat itself as he moved. This was incredibly demeaning. How could Kidev be so cruel to make him put up with Vanu's whims like this. This work was beneath him! However what could he do now? If he did anything to defy the Captain's order, Vanu would be the first to lash out at him and with glee at that. Plans for the hammock solidified as he worked harder and with more speed. The sooner he got out of this mess the sooner he could get back on deck and get his revenge. It only took about 20 minutes time to finish again when he used his bond to get Caelum's help.His ears flicked back at Vanu's words. He wasn't sure what to make this halfbreed or how he viewed the astral bonded to the one he had harmed the most. Was this a trick or a trap? However, Ory's thoughts caused him a slight concern. He walked over to the edge and looked down at him, "You know revenge won't make anything better. He'll just seek out his revenge against you." The flash of the human's eye made him sigh and walk over to Vanu, clicking his hoof at the ground and walking back to the edge, looking back over at Vanu over his shoulder.

Vanu nodded to the Astral, showing that he understood what it was trying to hint at. He picked up the bucket and yelled over the side, "Keep your eyes down." It would be the closest he would come to a real warning as he dumped the soapy bucket over the edge to clean the navigator of the chum from earlier. Likely not much but it was at least the thought that counts.
"Alright, now that you are clean. I will pull you up." Vanu readied the ropes to pull the man up.

There was a moment of security in the fact that he was able to be free of this awful duty and that his plan could go into play. Just in a passing thought did Orynoko feel that perhaps the punishment was not equal to the crime? To mess with one's bed was to declare a war between them and after all there was so much time to between their departure from the land, which was well underway to proceed, and their next landing at shore.A wave of relief washed over the tiri as he walked over and looked down at Orynoko with a smile. "You are finally getting it, human. You are growing and getting strucker now that you understand that retaliation isn't always necessary. Peace is..." He didn't even finish when he looked up and saw the First Mate approach the edge with a bucket in hand. Just what in the?Vanu's words at first caused Orynoko to look up only to look down as instructed and as the water splashed over him, his teeth clenched over his bottom lip to keep from screaming, wiggling a bit in his rigging.Horrified, the tiri couldn't help but to headbutt Vanu's side just enough to get his attention and glare up at him, "I WAS FINALLY BREAKING THROUGH TO THAT HUMAN OF MINE AND YOU DID THAT?!" Of course he couldn't be understood but it was pretty clear with his glaring eyes, pinned back ears and bristling fur that the astral was channeling all of Orynoko's rage.

Vanu was startled for a moment as the Astral's head hit his side. "Hey! Watch the horns, I was getting the chum off of him! No need to get bent out of shape." Vanu scolded, frowning at the Astral as its expression turned to rage. "I had been showing you respect this whole time. I get that its your human but relax. I am not doing anything that hurts him." Vanu felt that was the truth of the matter, now if he had also thrown over the bucket and let it hit Orynoko in the head because he listened, in this case kept his head down. That would warrant a headbutt. But he did no such thing, he was under orders too. Mainly to not kill the kid, which all things considered he felt he was doing well with that. Then tended the ropes pulling Orynoko up.
As he pulled Orynoko up, and he saw black soapy hair, he spoke, "Welcome back topside, that wasn't such an ordeal now was it. If you hadn't acted up I wouldn't have had to get the fish bucket involved. But at least I tried to get you clean after the fact. I could have told you to look up at the soapy water waterfall, but even *I* won't put your through soap in the eyes sting.I personally find that too cruel."

Caelum took in a breath to steady his own senses and take a few steps back but his glare continued upon Vanu. He could understand Orynoko's feelings toward this man especially with their given their history. However the tiri always tried to give Orynoko some different perspectives of the Nivasi Halfbreed and spoke of peace between the two men. Actions like this kind of backfired and in these types of encounters, he couldn't really blame the human for his feelings. Vanu was not easy to like when covered by him in chum and soapy water. The comment about not hurting his human made him give a questioning gaze. It may not be hurting him but Vanu knew exactly what he was doing. There was one thing he couldn't deny: Vanu held his human's life in his hands right now. Literally. He had to keep the both of them under control for now.Orynoko let out all his glaring at the ocean as he was pulled up. There was a bit of comfort he felt from Caelum knowing that the tiri was empathetic to his distaste for the man in this instant. That comfort helped to ease his face into a calm subdued expression, almost devoid of all emotion. The moment he was able to be on the ship, he strode up to Vanu and embraced him to share all the beautiful sloppy mess that he had helped to make of him, making sure to rub his face on the First Mate's vest. He then released him and walked off to change and properly shower. He needed to be clean to deal with Vanu's hammock.
