MiniUrsa It's alright, I'm a pretty patient person. I will say that if you ever need to talk, I'm always willing to lend an ear. Jake couldn't help but grin at Fujiko's excitement at the thought of new dresses and art supplies. "You're quite welcome, Fujiko," he said. "I like to help people, so this is kind of a reward in itself for me."

She yawned, and smiled at Jake's comment. She would never have imagined that someone could be like this, and quite frankly the possibility had never crossed her mind. After over one hundred years, and it was only now she had encountered someone like this. She was tired, though, and much of her thoughts seemed to stray into quiet speech. "How did I end up with such a rare soul to stay with, hm?" She yawned again, mumbling quietly about her luck. She seemed happy to say the least, her eyes half closed as Jake lead her to where ever he had decided she would sleep.

Jake couldn't help letting out a yawn when Fujiko did, and he returned her smile. He could hear her mumbling about how she wound up with a rare soul like him, and it made him smile. "If you'll follow me, I'll take you to your room," he said, then started walking down the hallway. He stopped at a door about halfway down the hall, then opened the door and stepped to one side, letting Fujiko enter the room. "I didn't know what you liked, so I left it alone," he said. "That way, you can decorate it any way you like."

Immediately, Fujiko went to work on rearranging her new bed. Before long, there was a make-shift nest in the middle, the two ends now completely bare aside from the bed sheet. She then layed out her dress lightly on one of the bare ends of the bed, making sure that it didn't have any stains or marks on it from the day. It seemed fine. She then looked around the rest of the room, thinking about how she could decorate. She didn't think long before yawning again, so decided to work on it another day. She quietly walked over to Jake, and hugged him tightly before crawling into her new bed. "Nitenite, Jake. I'll see you in the morning?" Her eyes struggled to stay open, and she leaned her face on the edge of her little "nest".

Jake watched as Fujiko started rearranging her bed, making a nest in the center before laying her dress on one end of the bed and making sure there weren't any stains or tears in the fabric. He smiled when she looked around the room before yawning and walking over to him. He returned her hug gently, smiling when she said good night. "Good night, Fujiko," he said. "Sweet dreams." He smiled when she leaned her face on the edge of her "nest," then left her bedroom, leaving the door partially open before heading for his own bedroom.

The small elven girl yawned, the sun in her eyes. They fluttered a few times, trying to adjust to the bright light. She rolled onto her back, stretching out over the edges of her "nest", shoving it out of shape. She could always fix it later. She sat up, and put her feet over the edge of the bed, letting them hang for a few moments as she wiggled and stretched her feet and toes. Fujiko stood quietly, heading out of her room, only to flop down onto the couch, half asleep.

Jake slept well that night, and while he slept he dreamed of his parents' home, far to the north. He woke the next morning and yawned as he laid in bed for a few minutes before getting up and heading to the bathroom to wash his face. This done, he headed to the kitchen to see that Fujiko was already up, although she looked like she was still half-asleep. A smile formed on his face as he snuck up behind her and tickled her ears gently. "Good morning, Fujiko," he said, giving her a smile.

A high-pitched squeal emerges from the couch cushion, before Fujiko quickly squirmed and sat up giggling. She rubbed her eyes and yawned before smiling back at Jake. "Good morning." She giggled again, still having a small bit of trouble waking up. At very least she seemed happy. She was safe. Her stomach started to growl quietly, and she looked down at it, before tilting her head oddly to listen and be sure.

Jake grinned when Fujiko squealed before squirming and sitting up, giggling. "Still sleepy?" he asked, smiling at her. He sensed the happiness she felt, and it made him glad he'd brought her to the cabin. He heard her stomach growl softly, and chuckled when his own stomach responded in kind. "It seems we're both hungry," he said. "What would you like for breakfast, Fujiko?"

She nodded her head, rubbing her eyes again. She perked up slightly at the thought of food, laying down again nervously. "You mean like oatmeal or fruit?" She thought for a few moments, still nervous to be in her position. She decided to take another chance, see if she really had the lack of boundaries he had told her. "Maybe the special foods? Like what my owners and families got to eat?"

Jake smiled when Fujiko nodded in response to his question, then blinked when she asked if he meant oatmeal or fruit before asking about the "special foods," like what her former owners and families got to eat. He wondered what she meant by "special foods," although he didn't ask. "Oatmeal and fruit aren't enough for me," he said, shaking his head in response to her first question. "I was thinking more along the lines of bacon, eggs, toast, and juice for breakfast. Does that sound alright to you?"

She just smiles at the thought of bacon and eggs. A small hum escaped her as she flopped onto her side again, her eyes closed. "Mmm, special foods. Do you think I'll like them? I know what eggs are like in other food, though." She lifted her feet, laying out across the couch completely now, dozing off again. Too much daydreaming.

Jake smiled when Fujiko did, listening as she spoke. "I think you will," he said. "It's been a while since I've had bacon and eggs, since I usually have cereal for breakfast, since it's quick and doesn't require cooking."

MiniUrsa Fujiko smiles and stands quietly, walking over to Jake. She gives him a tight hug before walking into the kitchen, sitting quietly at the table, watching him intently. She pulled her legs up against her chest, leaning her face on her knees. Once again, after a few moments of sitting, her eyes have closed, and she was seemingly falling asleep. As she sat quietly, she began to flinch occasionally at small noises from outside.

Jake returned Fujiko's hug when she walked into the kitchen, then smiled when she sat down at the table and pulled her legs against her chest before laying her face on her knees. He noticed that she seemed to doze off again, and he smiled, then started getting out the skillet he would need for the bacon and eggs, as well as the bread for toast. He cooked the bacon first, draining some of the grease after removing the last few pieces of bacon from the skillet and laying them on a plate layered with paper towels, to drain the excess grease. He used the grease remaining in the skillet to fry the eggs, two for each of them. While he was cooking the eggs, he put four pieces of bread in the toaster, so that they could be toasting while he was cooking. A short time later, the food was done, and he got butter and jelly from the fridge, as well as juice and milk, then shook Fujiko gently. "Breakfast is ready, Fujiko," he said. He'd noticed that she would flinch occasionally at small noises coming from outside.
