Tarrasque was a slow moving, and heavily armored demon. Under most circumstances, such a demon was neither a large threat to people, nor was it particularly aggressive due to it's low attack power. But in the streets along one of the seedier districts of Okina now were a whole menagerie of Tarrasques, and they were all hungry for any beasts that they could get their claws into. That included humans of course, because this many Tarrasques weren't good at hunting, but they still required an enormous amount of food, and humans were one of the rare sources of food they could catch...and that made them targets for Mataki, who intended to stop the bloodshed before it began.Quote: 57 tokens +20 Macca Matador: Gain 5 Macca per turn. Garms were normally allies of Loki and his kind, but they were a simple and vicious type of demon, and easily became lost in their bloodlust when prey presented itself. A group of them then were extremely dangerous, and worked themselves into a fit very easily, with each fueling the hunger of the others until they hunted down every source of nutrition for miles around, sometimes taking days as they battled other demons. Mataki couldn't allow that in this situation, so he would have to eradicate the horde of neutral demons before they caused more damage, though Loki might be a bit upset about it later. Another horde of demons? These ones were masses of flesh and hunger, avaricious beasts that merely called themselves Legion. Needless to say, Mataki had to take care of them before they started causing trouble, and while such bulbous masses of flesh were unlikely to find the nooks and crannies that humans were hiding in, they were nevertheless capable of self-destructing and causing huge damage to the city, which would have it's own poor effects on the survivors in time. There sure were a lot of hordes of demons in the streets of Okina, and while Mataki was no closer to finding the way to escape to Inaba, he was definitely clearing out a number of the lesser foes who might interfere on the later days of the war before they were a problem. That was good, but it was the reason they'd collected their own demonic forces, and he was running into remarkably few of those, or else he would delegate some of these battles to those who were freer and would gain more experience from them. A bunch of possessed scarecrows were now attacking Mataki, beings which were probably Poltergeists in their true forms, and weaker than even the average demon if his sense of strength was correct at all. On the other hand, he was easily dispatching them, and knew that if he could get rid of them now, they might not surprise other humans later, who would have a more difficult time dealing with them. After all, his task now was to explore the ruined cities and gain power through the tribulations that followed, so there was no point in turning a blind eye to this sort of problem. Yo this is the story all about how Jorm's life got flipped, turned upside down. I'm gonna take a minute, just sit right there, and listen to how he became king of a town called Okina. In west Hel is where he was raised, on the battlefield's where he spent most of his days. Chillin' out, maxing, relaxing all cool and all shooting some b-ball outside of the school, when a couple of guys who were up to no good, started causing trouble in his neighborhood. He got in one little fight, and his dad got pissed, and Lewis was like "I'm throwing you out in the human world in a town called Okina." Jorm whistled for a demon taxi, and when Oborguruma came near, the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything he could tell this cab was rare, but he thought "Nah forget it, yo holmes to Okina!". He pulled up to the house about 7 or 8, and he said to the cab "Yo holmes smell ya later!". Oh no, a couple of rioters were up to no good! They were making trouble in his neighborhood! Mataki knew that he shouldn't get into this one little fight, but he wasn't scared; he was going to send these rioters packing to live with their aunt and uncle in...wherever they lived...just like in that story that Jorm had told him when they met up just a brief time ago. Mataki wasn't the one being possessed this time, per say. Rather, he'd come upon a possessed creature of terrible power and fury, and found it a fascinatingly horrible concoction of human and demonic fusion. It called itself Sakahagi...a manikan, or human-like being that was not strong enough to be a demon, that held neither that spark of original life that could let them grow strong, nor the ability to change that humans had. They were like empty bodies, possessing only enough strength to have a soul that could feel joy so that it could in turn suffer when the demons tortured it...Manikans were literally the remnants of human emotions and souls as well, absorbing the particles of the departed that remained. Thus, they were an inexhaustible resource for demons, who drew power from making things with souls suffer, and they were kept in cages to suffer when demons caught them, and under most cases they were careful not to kill their living feeding-troughs. But there was one determined to avoid his fate...Sakahagi. A manikan possessed of human souls and hatred, who desired to become a demon, since he could never be human. He wore the skins of other manikans he'd slaughtered, and had gathered so much of their power that even though he couldn't manipulate it...such was the fate of manikans, as opposed to humans or demons...he was still passively stronger for it. Strong enough to make many demons quake with fear, though he couldn't compare to a truly strong being such as Thor, or one of the Generals. His fate was sad, self-imposed, riddled with blood-drenched villainy...and one worth taking account of. A manikan who had turned on his own kind, on humans, on demons...a being merely striving to change all things caught in the web of time. To defy destiny. With the power of a Dominion, a servant of Order with incredible power compared to his lesser brothers, Mataki no longer felt the need to hesitate against most large hordes of demons. He had several demons capable of acting as backup, but this angelic being was the best at banishing the demons back to the underworld they came from...a world he was fighting now to control, to ensure that the demons never escaped from it again. Dominion excelled at crowd clearing as well, so his team composition was well rounded, and with his steady rate of training, the growing of his talents would continue for who knew how long. Ambush, ambush, Trumpeter had laid an aambush~ And though Mataki wanted to slay the trumpet wielding demon, he knew that it's level exceeded that of Sakahagi or Dominion for now, being in truth a Fiend but also a harbinger of the end and servant of Law...though it also marshaled in the end. Death was prevalent in this land though, and so he regretted little of the plot to eliminate Trumpeter, the first of many demons who would have to receive the ultimate Hel treatment. Whether he did it, or Hel, Jorm, Fenrir, or even Lewis himself, the demon's end would come...but following his current training regimen, if it was to be by Mataki's hand, then Trumpeter's death would have to wait for the time being. There was another target from Obeyln....one that had been planning an attack on the Restaurant. While the place could use an expansion, an attack would have been troubling....And, with Youmu asleep in a booth, he draped his outer-shirt over her shoulders...And went to work.

Demons this weak shouldn't have been putting up a fight, that was Mataki's thought on the matter. Of course, that didn't mean that he was killing them for being weak; they chose to come to the human world, seeking power and glory through killing others, so their lives were forsaken the moment they crossed that thin veil and stepped upon forbidden ground. This was divine retribution in the name of humanity, a model of the Order that was meant to rule these lands, and of the cold and definitively heavy hand that justice had when dealing with their ignoble kind.
