NEW VENT:
Where in my job description does it state that I have to explain the workings of advanced DNS records to a user who can hardly turn on their computer, let alone log into their account.
I have no patience for stupid people, let alone stupid people who suddenly get a flash of inspiration to learn something about technology, and decide that I am the perfect resource to explain the intricacies of the Internet and how it all works.

Yeah, like "I registered this domain and I've been waiting for over 48 hours for my DNS server to point back to my site. Everything is working fine but I found this thing called an MX RECORD and I started playing with it and now everything is all screwed.'

Everything is working fine but I found this thing called an MX RECORD and I started playing with it and now everything is all screwed.' You don't belong on the internet, much less at the helm of a computer. talk2hand That pretty much sums it up....except then they start wanting to know the who's and what's of A records, cnames, blah blah blah...how to do you do a dig...blahblah...what does it all mean basil? I'd be happy to explain it to a person who understands that their domain name is NOT jane@aol.com. Unplug your computer, put it back in the box and ship it back to dell.......oh and by the way...don't call me anymore.
