Finn grabbed his backpack from the remains of his booth and made his way over to Wil, Nasir, and the growing group around the map. "I've got, um," he said. "A flashlight, a compass, 20 yards of nylon cord, and a couple of novelty carabiners," he said, holding the pack up. Obviously, he hadn't come prepared to do much more than hand out pens - but the flashlight could probably be useful. He gestured to the map. "So, uh, I'm the definition of 15 minutes late with starbucks right now but - you're headed to the basement, yeah? I'll come with." Sending a bunch of muggles down alone when there was magical bullshit on the loose didn't sit right with him.

Wil nodded to Finn. "Oh hey.. dude.." He reached down into a box beside the table he was using, and tossed Finn a t-shirt. It said ' Ashdown Hair Dont Care' in giant reflective mirrored text on the front. On the back it said 'Ashdown School of Hair and Makeup'. "I'll see if anyone else wants to go. Maybe you guys can try to find stairs or something down?" Unfortunately the art student didn't spend extensive time in this particularly library. The blonde stepped away from the map and put an arm up in the air "Ok guys! Anyone who wants to maybe venture with us to the basement, gather over here! We still need people to stay and help the uh.. injured and stuff..." The yelling for attention didn't seem to suit the stoner in the rainbow unicorn t-shirt, his voice dying quickly. "SO um... YEAH.. I guess. Come over here and we'll try to find some exits. But it could be dangerous.. alright?" After he finished he shuffled oddly and slumped his way over to Nasir, resting his hand in his boyfriend's hair and talking softer, "You okay?" ALL YALLS Wil has relinquished the MAP and is gathering a party to go to the basement!! preferably not too many!!

"I'll be more useful in the basement, so I'll go with you guys," said Leila. "You think I should leave the radio behind, or take it with us?"There better not be something waiting to eat them alive down there.

"It's not really a nickname, sweetheart." No, not with the way he said it. Generally, he used terms like darling and princess to be as condescendingly obnoxious as possible. At her question, however, he kept his mouth shut and simply nodded, jogging off to do just that. As he slid behind the wine bar, his eyes scanned over the displayed bottles and boxes, before he began to dig around in search of something harder. He wasn't overly optimistic, but breathed out a sigh of relief when he came upon a bottle of vodka, snatching it up before grabbing anything else he thought might be of use. Ice bucket filled with ice, towels, a stack of plastic cups still in it's long sleeve of plastic packaging, and a box of orange juice that he could only assume was there for mimosa's. Juggling all of these items in his arms, he was forced to go a bit slower on the way back to where Temp was waving him over. When he arrived by her side, he began to set everything carefully down, bending his knees into a crouch as he spread things out and set to work freeing the plastic cups and filling one with a few ounces of orange juice, which he then held in offering to the man Temp had been helping before. "Here, take this. Drink it, if you can, small sips." He then looked up to Temp, "Ready?" +5 Health ((OOC NOTE: Also think investigating the basement is a good idea but will leave Connor here to do more healing work ouob))

After discerning that she wasn't about to hork up all her insides, Preacher turned away from the girl and watched Ian work at the elevator. She was feeling antsy, keyed up, useless in the stream of activity. Then she heard Wil's call. It wasn't like she wanted to go down into the basement, but it was better than doing ********. "I'm in," she said, jogging over. "Might be something, an out, down there that we need. I'd leave the radio - it prob won't get reception int he basement anyway." She crossed her arms and looked up at the motley group.

"You guys go," Rylan said with a nod. "I'll stay up here and help with the injured and try to figure out if any of these exits are viable. My warging won't do us much good down in the basement anyway." He paused, looking at the gathered group of volunteers. "Good luck. I'm thinking leave the radio in case we have to communicate with the upstairs about more injured in their group?" He turned back to the group attempting to pry open the elevator and, after a moment's pause, strode over and lent a hand, straining to help pull it open.((Since it looks like we needed one more to open the elevator, yes?))

Leila nodded at each person in turn as they gave their input. "Right, good input. Radio's up for grabs up here, then!" She set the radio on a nearby table where it would be easy for anyone who needed it to spot before returning to the elevator door, minding her distance since it was crowded with people at work on it already. Instead, she tugged on the end of a sleeve to signal Friend, who dutifully crawled up to her fingertip, waving its palps and antennae with all the alertness of a sighthound. "You've been paying attention to what's been going on, right? I'm hoping you have some leads on what we can do."

Nasir blinked at the people that showed up, fingers curled around the orange juice with a nod. Really, he just wanted to go home and maybe his head would stop feeling funky but he had said he would keep Aleksy awake and ... Wil. Yes. Wil. Good.His fingers reached up and curled around Wil's forearm. "Not really? Arm hurts a lot." He glanced towards Aleksy. "And ... Aleksy needs to be looked after so he doesn't sleep because he's hurt more." Nasir wanted to pull Wil down with him but it looked like he was planning to do something. "You gonna go be my hero?" he asked him with an amused tired smile. "To get us home?"

Finn took the shirt, gave it an odd look, pondered what Ashdown hair was if not perpetual humid frizz, and pulled it over his head. It was about a size too small, and his pectorals bulged against the fabric. The jury was out on whether this was an improvement over his previous state or not. Stepping into the space Will had just vacated, Finn surveyed the map. "Shouldn't the stairs be on here?" he asked, frowning. He had no idea what he was looking at. "Or - if they get the elevators open, those probably go down?"

"If I ever save the day, I'm more like that guy who trips the monster by accident..you know.. like bumbling or something." Wil smiled a little but there was a little fear in his eyes. It hadn't really left since the initial attack. The blonde leaned down to give Nasir a kiss, resting their foreheads together for a second. "I defnitely wanna go home. I'll do my best." Wil smiled again, "I won't even stop to nap."

Okay. What was going on here was that there were werewolves running around upstairs. Not what he'd expected, but... eh. Rabbit had one guess as to why s**t like this was happening now. It started with O and ended with Ther Ashdown.
Far away from the contingent grappling with the elevator and not paying much attention to those heading into the basement, he caught sight of a couple of familiar faces instead. And a corpse, but he chose to ignore that as hard as he could.
"Tsarevitch Aleksy!" he said, trying to keep his tone light. He had definitely gotten off easy in the injury department. He also hadn't actually looked up the translation of tsarevitch since he'd met the florist. Rabbit hoped it didn't mean anything bad. "I see everyone's got drinks, but how about half a tablecloth and pastries?" He lowered both to the ground, hoping he didn't look as awkward as he felt. At the very least, Wil and Wil's Friend were too preoccupied to notice. Good, good.heals/temp heals crew i missed

After helping to find the girl's mother and making sure they were both mostly intact, Max had taken a seat again in the hope that he would stop feeling so wobbly. He had been on the verge of nodding off when he heard a voice come up behind him, and he sat up abruptly when he registered who it was.
"Diana. Hello." He took in her bandaged arm and familiar purple hair, the sides of his mouth lifting a touch. "I might be, I'm not sure. I was knocked around a little. Enough so that I can't really help anyone like I want to. Is your arm okay?"+11 to heals

"Wouldn't like... falling down an elevator shaft to get to the basement hurt?" Preacher had, in the heat of the moment, forgotten that many elevator shafts included at least some form of a ladder, for maintenance work. She edged over to Finn and stared at the map, frowning. Now that there was an idea, she wanted to ******** go, Being still made her anxious; she needed to do something. The too-small shirt was noted approvingly, but only for a moment. Now rather wasn't the time to be ogling some man's nipples. She jabbed a finger at the map. "Here's the stairs goin' up - do they go down, too?"

Nasir pressed his hand to Wil's face when he was kissed. When it broke he was leaning to whisper into Wil's ear. "You'll be fine, I'll be fine, and we'll get home and watch some terrible funny movie, okay?" He was doing his best to not let his own fear show because Wil looked scared. Nasir reached up to his hair and unclipped one of the barrettes from his hair. A single curl from Wil's hair was pushed back and then clipped. "A favor for my hero," he said softly and pressed his forehead to Wil's again. "I'll be waiting, Wil." Nasir might have blushed if he could have but he had lost blood. "Be safe and come back soon?" Then, of course, he noticed that Rabbit was there and that he was mentioning pastries. "... I do actually have some snacks in my bag." He looked towards Wil and reached out to give his hand a squeeze before he left. +8 heals

Loud Mom voice, that was disturbing. Someone holding out water that Aleksy didn't really want to take, less disturbing. "Blood," said Aleksy uncomfortably to the blonde woman, "claws and…" He trailed off into more disjointed Russian mumbling, brow furrowed with confusion. His eyebrows lifted at Rabbit's greeting, then he laughed, an unsettlingly weak and breathy noise. It hurt his chest like the injury was being performed anew. " Dobry vyecher," he said.
