Jerami Post 2

Jerami gave a squeak as he was dragged along by Shima, looking toward her, back to Jhana and then back and forth between the two of them a couple of times. This was scary... being in a place that he knew nothing about, a place they would never have been allowed to go if they didn't slip out to come here without telling anyone. He felt guilty, wishing that he'd told someone, maybe Drexl at least? So that someone would know where the three of them had gone even if their mothers didn't know.

"Huh? Oh... yeah, food... maybe we should get something to eat." He got for a moment distracted from his worry to look toward the food that his sister had pointed out. From there his attention was then pulled in another direction, toward Jhana as she spoke of shopping. Shopping...? He blinked a couple times, looking around for a moment.

He gave a slow nod of his head, "Ahh... shopping is... t-tempting." He knew he should be worried about their mothers and what would happen once they came to pick them up. He should be worried, but he couldn't help but to find himself distracted by his sisters and their ideas for what they should be doing, "Umm... alright, food and shopping... and maybe we can peek at the t-tournament?" They had come this far for the tournament, they might as well peek in on it, right?

Scarlett Arbuckle
Sol
Post 1

The young hybrid tugged at the cloth encircling his waist, grumbling something under his breath with a firm pout. Although the sash around his waist was a lovely shade of violet, decorated in a golden pattern that Sol himself had chosen, he still hated it. He had fussed over it, claiming that he was big enough to walk without it. It drew more attention to him than he was comfortable with; the social anxiety alone would have kept him close to his baba and sister.

Foul from the heat absorbing into his darkened skin, and the leash in general, the boy turned his disgruntled look towards his sister. In all honesty he had wanted to see the dancers as well, but something about disagreeing with Ygraine at that moment seemed like a good choice. "I wanna play a game! Something fun. Bet I can beat you, snowball." As per usual with his boasts, his little antennae puffed up as straight as they could as if feeding on his exaggerated confidence.

Callum
Post 1

For the better part of the morning Callum had been prepping for the tournament. Performing in front of a large crowd didn't concern him, rather it was flattering to know that so many would choose to watch him, but upon discovering whom he would be fighting Callum found a true reason to be concerned. His skills had vastly improved since he had first battled Xilarn, the spear wielding Oban, and yet the thought of facing him again put a chill to his blood. On the other hand, should Xilarn's opponent win then he would be facing her, which would quite possibly be a worse outcome. While delirious with fever he had approach Dris'rynne in a fair too friendly manner...and had been sorely beaten for it. He didn't imagine she had forgiven him yet; she seemed the type to hold grudges.

Initially he had been excited to test his talents in the arena.

Now Callum wondered if it was too late to back out.

He maneuvered through the growing throng in search of his family. Surely he could get in some quality time with them before being publicly humiliated. Callum mentally grimaced. Surely it wouldn't be that bad. His skills had grown a fair bit, so hopefully he could land a few good hits...

Spotting first his rather large lover, and then his colorful children, Callum migrated closer. "So, what's on the agenda, hmm?"

Ujana - Post Two

Turning her attention to the rather buff shifter, Ujana shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno, looks sort of fishy to me." She cracked a toothy grin despite the situation. It wasn't one of her best puns, but it was a nice way to help break the ice. Oh, and there was another one! Because he was an iceling and...yeah.

Still, even with this sea of foreign faces it was strange to see a shifter again. She hadn't seen one in a long while; not since moving away from Jauhar. Oba was generally fresh out of "different" souls, at least in the areas that she haunted. At best she might get a few matorians, even some scragglers from Yael, but Shifters always caught her off guard. They reminded her of the dense jungle, and the life she'd built there. I'll have to go back for a visit soon.

Joining them now was a plump gal who really knew her fish. Her vulgar statement brought a loud bark of laughter out of Ujana, who didn't' even bother trying to cover it up. This was just getting better and better!

Elbowing the shifter, Ujana said in what should have been a whisper, but ended up actually louder than her normal speech, "Oooooh, she's got him now. Hook, line, and sinker." The fish jokes were really rolling on today.

Mosi
post two

Mosi felt the swiftness of the girl's approach and couldn't help wincing away before she saw who it was. Another Yaelian! She loosened her pale-knuckled grip on her satchel and smiled nervously.

"By Lurin, no! They're so loud and colorful and..." It seemed a strange thing to think, but she couldn't help herself and Mosi wasn't one to keep her opinions to herself. At least she lowered her voice. "I heard they thought Yael was a folk story, but still. It's so crowded here, it's a wonder they didn't try to take over our island sooner." She pushed her glasses higher on the bridge of her nose, turning suspicious glowing eyes on the crowd for a moment before looking back. "I'm Mosi. It's nice to see a friendly face around here."

Niadra Post 1

Nyiim didn't want to fight this time, which was more then okay with her. She didn't like the idea of him possibly getting hurt for nothing. Although these events were fun, she got to dance for everyone, she didn't see the point in fighting for fun. It should be something done only for necessity, at least that was how she felt about it.

So far Niadra had been having a pretty good day though. She had got a few new customers for her school and preformed twice already with different troupes. It was awesome really, getting out there and dancing with new people. Although her school allowed her to do that sometimes there was nothing like a large event to bring people from everywhere together.

Touching her purse at her Niadra was reassured it was there. Although she didn't think anyone would be stealing from her she was always weary of thieves at big events like this.

Serr can steal from Niadra if you'd like!

Aayanna Post 2

The girls nervous smile made her feel better about her own bubbling feelings. Though it wasn't like she was expected to feel normal around the mainlanders. They were savages, foreigners who didn't know the right way of the world yet.

She nodded. "I'm glad that Lurin was able to protect us for so long. Honestly I don't know what we would've done if they just came and attacked us with the intentions of stealing our land." Sure her people had weapons, but there had to be at least a hundred mainlanders for every Yaelian. Even with Lurin and Dafiel on their side they wouldn't have stood a chance.

"It is, I thought I was going to be alone among them but it seems I'm not the only one who ventured from home. I'm Aayanna."

Zuri Post 1

She was pregnant, at least she was pretty sure that she was, but she was not very far a long. She was already sick in the mornings, but that was the only side effect she was suffering from thankfully. She thought about dropping out of the tournament, her mate was surely against her participating in it, be decided that since she wasn't very far along and didn't have a big stomach she would fight but just be extra careful to not get hurt. She was a good fighter and sure she could achieve that.

However as she was meant to be preparing for her fight the most delicious smell filled her nose. As if she was in a trance Zuri headed towards one of the food stalls, wanting whatever it was they were selling.

Shima - post 2

Shima was more than happy that Jhana didn't seem to want to bring the excitement down. The girl was nearly drooling as she smelt the wafting scents of food from the stalls though she felt her body being pulled from behind. Right she was still holding onto Jerami and he was attatched to Jhana. Turning she wanted to whine and tell them to hurry up, but it looked as if the wiser sibling was already ahead of her in though process.

"Oh yes yes yes! Lets get something new and delicious to eat!" In her energy she couldn't help but bounce up and down, perhaps it was watching Jhana that caused her to glance at her brother who looked like he was about to have a heart attack. Picking up on her sisters suggestion about shopping and though Shima wasn't entirely thrilled with the idea she knew it would make Jerami happy.

"Y...eah! We can go shopping and I wouldn't mind looking at the tournament as well. Too bad we couldn't enter huh?" Shima joked.

Kyruie - post 2

The young man gave Sriina a look over rubbing his arm as he caught another glare from his brother. Right he supposed he should great his ...future wife. Right? The thought of them being married was depressing. There had been such high hopes that things would be called off after their meeting. But both set of parents attributed them wanting to call it off as 'butterflies' and the wedding was set to go one.

"Ah...yes..Hello." Kyruie managed, trying to distract himself with thoughts of Tera and perhaps the upcoming battle he was going to be forced to do. Why was he in the tournament anyway? Trying to come up with subject matter to discuss was impossible. He looked to Ashta as if pleading for him to take the lead.

Ashta - post 2

The elder brother sighed, as Sriina approached him he felt the irritation boil. The sheer fact his younger brother was to wed Sriina irritated him, but he dared not say anything to their parents as they had high hopes this would snap Kyruie out of his 'fear of women'. Ashta wasn't entirely sure that was actually the problem, but he didn't want to have to explain to their parents his drug addiction and the sheer fact he had caught Kyruie basically on top of their client.

"Good Afternoon Sriina," Ashta politely began, as Sriina spoke and his brother failed as making any sort of helpful conversation. "It seems strange to be back in Oba," He continued trying to get the subject matter started, the awkward silence was going to kill them all if he didn't try and muster something up.

"Are you entering the tournament?" Ashta carried on as if hoping to give the trio something to discuss.

Amari - Post 2

There was no better way to grab Amari's attention than to give him a compliment. Eyes wide he turned to find the voice that had spoken to him, it was a woman's voice and spotted a dark skinned woman with white hair. Blinking he tried to find the right race in his mind, was she a shifter? He was pretty sure that was the right name...of course that didn't really matter did it? Everyone was free here and it was rude of him to not reply to the girl who had complimented him so.

A hand rose to his lips as he gave a happy smile and laugh. "Thank you! I had such a hard time picking out something to wear for the event. Its my first time back in Oba, I wanted to make a good impression." He explained, his voice was fairly feminine, as well his looks. If someone was to tell you he was a man, they'd be hard pressed to prove it beyond taking a look under his skirt.

"You must be so hot though! With that dark skin." Amari exclaimed, "My dear we should fetch you something cool to drink at once. " He extended his hand, even each nail was painted a light and pleasant blue. "My name is Amari, my dear can I know yours?"

Devra Post One

Glowing eyes stared at the mass of unknown races in front of her. The young Yaeli child had never imagined to travel to the mainland, let alone be a part of the festivities. Devra heard through the older travelers that passed her town about the gathering in a place called 'Oba,' and her curiosity got the best of her. After a long journey, one she didn't expect to take until she was much older, she was here. Everyone looked so happy together, like their different skin colors meant nothing, making her wish she had the same connections.

Instantly, her bare feet walked through the crowds, easy to maneuver around since everyone was much taller than her. It was unlikely that Devra would make any friends, but maybe some new acquaintances, and who knows maybe come home with a couple of trinkets. Small hands glided over shiny things from distant lands, and she wanted every one of them.

Anyone up for chit chatting with my Yaeli?

Dyakida post 1

Dyakida was stretching her legs. Of course she was setting up a weapons stall - the last time she'd done so, she'd made good business - there was nothing better than a tournament to get people interested in weapons. It had taken some convincing to have her go to one on Oban soil (sand), but she knew people who would be going and fighting in it, and it seemed odd to not be there to support her friends, her family, and her tribe.

"Ilyra?" she called out, hearing a familiar voice calling for family. She paused, listening, leaning on her staff for support. "Ilyra, is that you?"

Takoda Post 1

The shifter was starting to regret his sudden and rather brash decision to come here. He had wanted to take part of the tournament, a rather ironic thing considering that Takoda was considered a pacifist. But there was some part of himself that wanted to prove that he was still useful. A strange desire to know that he could help others beyond healing. But ..he was a healer and it was hard for him to want to hurt others.

He was glad that even as the tournament was starting that his part wasn't for awhile. It left him however with too much time on his hands, and he wandered the fair portion feeling alone and nervous. Oba. They had fought a war with these people which felt like it was only days ago instead of years. There were a lot of different races here, it put him strangely at ease. Wandering through and seeing how people were so excited, he past by three hybrids who seemed to be siblings chattering excitedly.

There was somethign about the three that seemed...oddly familiar. Though he couldn't put his fingers on it. Walking past he went about to the food stalls, trying to think about what he could get his mate to try and passify the man. He knew Jacinthus was going to be incredible angry at him. Even if he left a note...to sneak off was perhaps a bit much.
