Super Dia
At this point in the game, she was simply doing her best to keep up with the team. There was an unknown Lieutenant close by, Alkaid and a Captain she didn't recognize still taking the lead. Grendel was still hopping and darting about, making Dia wish for a brief moment that she too had been born a feline, as he made these trials look easy compared to the soreness and aches she was currently attempting to ignore.
The blades were easy to duck, but the energy was causing a bit of an annoyance for the pink senshi. Any spare moment that she lingered, waiting for an opportunity to dash under a spinning blade, the energy would n** and shock at her ankles, causing her to utter some very unladylike comments of "fudge" and "crud" as she did a crazy dance-like motion in attempts to make it stop. Hopefully Tourmaline and Victoria were having an easier time at this than she was. And what of Lace? Was she still tucked away in Tourmaline's jacket?
If anything, hopefully the box at the end of the hall would be the end to all of this trouble and they could soon return home and figuratively lick their wounds (save for Grendel's and Lace's case, of course).

Lt. Prasiolite
She made it across the water easy enough and was up and out running along somewhat in the middle of the others. The pulsing energy was plenty to keep her driven and motivated to the end, though there were a few in front of her she honestly didn't think she would catch up too. She wasn't dead last though and she hadn't done to horribly in all this so she could at least be thankful for that.
Running they reached the last obstacle and it looked like the worst of them all. There it was though, what they'd gone through all this for. At the end of the hallway. She charged in right along with the other doing her best to attempt to avoid swinging axes and not get shocked. Surprisingly the axes were easier avoided than the shocked and she found the crackling energy surging through her and causing her to stumble clenched in pain more than once.
This was torture, for sure, but they were almost there.

Captain Tourmaline
Regretting that she couldn't summon her new coat as easily as she could summon her weapon, Tourmaline pulled herself out of the water and moved on to the last leg of the race she hoped. It would be nice to have a chance to catch up with the others; to breathe... She was really starting to look forward to relaxing after this work out.

Sweat and residue from the filthy water mingled with fresh and dried blood to create a crust over most of Noctua's body. Her bones protested each step. Her muscles scream with each extention of her arms and legs. She was broken. Body and spirit she was broken. She tore the eel from her leg, no doubt making the resulting injury worse, and left it on the stone below her feet. She would finish this. She would finish it, even if she didn't deliver the box. And then she would lay down somewhere and try to die.
Even the scene before failed to elicit a flinch. She watched as the blades swung back and forth, as the floor sparked, and sighed deeply. Get it over with. Any luck and a swinging blade would catch her and end this stupid trial.
But that didn't happen. Nothing happened. Noctua's whole body screamed in pain, but with the first flash of evil silver she dodged. She ducked and weaved and rolled despite the crying of her body and she made it. She looked up around her in wonder and felt the warm wash of relief swell inside of her. Her knees began to buckle and she fell, weak and abused but finished. The box didn't matter anymore. There were soldiers in front of her and they would get the box. She got something else. She got to live. She got to leave this place and curl up in her bed after a long, hot bath and cry and heal and see tomorrow. She got to tell Cinnabar that she survived.

General Schörl
Musings around leg and body and alterations of course confirmed expectations of dark water denizens, but Schörl was disappointed when it was just an eel that was dragged out on another agent. Eels weren't really worth spending more time on then passing through. Less with the screeching.
Then blades. A bit gauche splitting up Poe's masterpieces like that. And with ...neon paint.
Taking pages from books seems as good as any other idea, given the circumstances, so maintaining irregularity, but progress like the Fremen was the course du jour against the electricity and rhythm of the blades. Barbary waved a paw at Ceraskia's direction, drawing the General's gaze to plight and more dismay mid-waltz.
A starseed will have to heal it. She can't go to work wearing ribbons of flesh instead of silk.

General Serandite
Serandite had a pressing headache, due to the energy she was sure.. and due to these traps. Apatite certainly had .. ambitious goals in mind. Her heels were almost an advantage, allowing Serandite to twirl around the pulsing energy, smoothly avoiding the swinging instruments.
Even though there was a moment she thought her arm would be neatly sliced off.

General Osumilite
If the General wasn't feeling exhausted already, he was certainly feeling the burn now. And not in the fun, idealistic #FeelTheBern kind of way. He worked his hardest to maintain his composure and gracefully dodge the blades, but his speed was lacking in producing the results he would have hoped.

The group sped through the final obstacle—and, despite all the hardships they'd faced before, they seemed extremely well equipped. No one was going to walk away from this maimed or in pieces. In the end, two Agents reached the box in the wall only seconds before the others— Amethyst and Serandite were absolutely tied. The moment their fingers hit the box, a burst of chaos energy shot through the group. This was a victory they'd have to share. But perhaps it was for the best; whatever was in the box was extremely powerful. The small, locked box almost didn't seem to fit with the power it exuded. But their work here was done. They had completed Apatite's Gauntlet. Now, after the trial was over, a small switch on the wall called to them. It was easy to miss, but if any wandering eyes happened to caught it, they would find that the switch temporarily lifted the block on their teleportation ability. If they failed to notice it, or perhaps wanted an extra workout session, they could always backtrack and walk out of the labyrinth. Quote: The strange box has been recovered, but Amethyst and Serandite must both deliver it to Metallia! Good job everyone! Anyone who participated in this ORP and posted at least 500 words can count this for a battle towards their next growth requirement! You may write an exit for your character or move them direction into the conclusion ORP. Make sure you check it out if you find out what's in the box—and what plans Metallia has for it! Thank you all for playing!

Captain Tourmaline "Well that was anti-climactic." Captain Tourmaline huffed as she made her way over to the switch on the wall that seemed to ask for someone to press it. She did so without much thought, trying not to seem quite as sour as she felt after making it the whole way through everything with nothing to show for it. Hopefully the other members of their team had fared better at their tasks than they had. A triumph was a triumph, though, and at least someone had completed Metallia's task. Plus they'd all survived. Bonus, right? Switch flipped, the young woman reached up to finally squeeze some of the water out of her hair as she made her way over to where Sailor Dia was standing, catching her breath. She reached over to pluck a bit of debris from Dia's hair before giving her a gentle nudge. "Gotta get my coat, then we'll get out of here and check in, yeah? Be my first teleportation date?" Her question received a 'hmph' in response from the Senshi of Candy and she stepped back, lips pressed together for a moment. If Dia was going to be in a mood over things she'd just go get Lace herself and meet her back with everyone else. It would probably be easier to retrieve her coat that way anyways... "I'll see you back with the rest of the pack, then," she murmured, stepping back to teleport herself back to the other side of the water pit, scooping up her coat and reclaiming the sleeping kitten before making one more jump back to the hall that they'd left behind to start their journey. Captain Tourmaline out.

Super Dia & Grendelwith Tsunake's permissionExhausted and only slightly frustrated at not getting any share in the glory, Dia took a moment to take a few steps out of the crazy energy flooring and swooping blades to collapse on the ground. Grendel was quick to wander up to his charge and check on her, resulting in the young woman plucking the blue cat up and hugging him close. There was some comfort found in the embrace, a feeling of relief that the trials were finished and they could return back, fairly intact and in one piece. Scratches, scrapes and the long cut on the back of her arm - considering the obstacles they'd faced, Dia would count her blessings that she'd only been dealt those injuries and nothing more harsh or deadly. Tourmaline came by and received a huffy response, mostly because Dia's jealousy of the other girl had yet to subside. She was secretly glad that her companion had faired well, but she would congratulate her on everything later. Maybe. It would be a few more moments before the duo blinked out, Dia teleporting both her and Grendel back to where Metallia had held her meeting. While she couldn't have any bragging rights for achieving the feat of strength that Serandite and Amethyst had, she was still dreadfully curious as to what was in the box they'd all risked their lives to retrieve. She only hoped the others were alright. [Dia & Grendel Exit]

Corrupted Ceraskia Breathless, bleeding, and disappointed, the dainty corrupt made her way over to her Mistress. "I'm sorry," she voiced softly, dragging the long length over her hair over the shoulder that hadn't been sliced so she could again wring water from the heavy, silver cascade. "I wasn't quick enough." The box. Had been retrieved, they'd done as Metallia had ordered, but it had not been Schröl or her agents that would earn their dark head or power's praise. However, the task was indeed now complete, which meant a return to the castle, the possibility of an explanation for everything. What the items were, what they were needed for. Well, one could hope, at least. She glanced around for Quartz. Eager to get back to Metallia, to hear what she had to say, and then to get home.

General Schörl
The General pulled the cravat pin from the gathered material at her throat, and dislodged the starseed from it. This was held out to Ceraskia. "You can't be seen at ballet with that scoring. Crush this in your teeth to heal. "
The feel of the energy release, or return, from the thrown switch was abhorrent in its own way. The senshi learned how to block that energy, whatever lets us teleport. And here it is again in Apatite's own mechanization. Was it leaked?
Hazel sought and landed on Quartz, beckoned him near, "I'll teleport us out. Come here. "
A hand each for their hips. "Quartz, find out what you can about this technology. This anti-teleportation. If there is anything at all to be discovered on it. I don't like finding it here, after the breech and invasion. "
