As soon as the treasure from the last box was collected the three-tailed kitsune was running towards another box. A mischievous look to eye as he really started to get into, thinking of how much fun he could have if he got good enough to pick the locks of actual doors. Slender fingers ran over the tools and plucked up the one he needed, shoving it in hole to start the process. For the moment, just for that time all the complicated worries of his day, his time with Helki faded away to the sound of clicks and Tavi loved it.

Loved it more he did when the lock fell loose and signaled he got it right. A yip of excitement and he pushed the box open to reveal..a carrot. Well. One mans trash right? Tavi giggled and pulled it out taking a moment to glance back for his pupil before standing up and moving towards Kenner's scale. A place of his treasure and he beamed at being only a little away from their goal of fifteen treasures.

Maybe it wasn't a smart idea to break his streak with weighing. Tavi frowned as his third attempt at a box didn't go as well as the first two. A soft growl and he pulled back from the box and maybe kicked it a little before rushing away to a different one. Clearly that box was just broke.

Considering how close he was at last weighing Tavi took the new treasure along with the rest back over to the scale. When the results came in he clapped happily to himself and collected the treasures again. Moving off towards an open area to wait for the class to resume and maybe watch Helki from a distance and think of how to approach him again.

Left to his own devices albeit with a set of lockpicks that Tavi had literally shoved into his hands before bounding off to attempt unlocking one of the many boxes that could be found around them, Helki awkwardly stayed put while contemplating his options. He really didn’t want to do this… thing that the kitsune boil had sort of signed the both of them up for when he went to grab a set of lockpicks for the both of them. Although Tavi seemed to be pretty engrossed with this particular activity at the moment, he was pretty sure that the demon was still keeping a close watch on him so he couldn’t simply do what he wanted which was to slink away when the earliest opportunity presented itself.

Deciding that he would just try his hand at this at least once, he slowly made his way to the nearest box, trying each of the lockpicks in turn until he found one that clicked into place. Unfortunately for him, it was either a case of him applying way too much force or that the lockpick’s days were numbered for it snapped into two after a few attempts at twisting and turning to try to get it to fit entirely into the lock.
