Directly relating to his skill with throwing his Blades, he enjoys playing with Flying Discs in his spare time, but dislikes it when dogs get in his way by catching them. When Dr. Light saw Metal Man for the first time, he remarked that he was the "the dentist of the future". He was the first Robot Master built by Dr. Wily, created specially for combat for his revenge against Mega Man. Wily based Metal Man's design on Cut Man. His Special Weapon is the Metal Blade, large and razor-sharp saw blades made of ceramic titanium that he can throw at high speed with deadly accuracy. DWN.009 Metal Man
The very first Robot Master created solely by Dr. Wily. Has an unlimited amount of metal saw blades that he can pull from nowhere, in addition to one more attached to his head. Based off of Cut Man in design, he took over an industrial factory. Tends to be pragmatic.
Weapon: Metal Blade Weakness: Metal Blade (MM2), Quick Boomerang (MM2), Magnet Missile (MM3), Hard Knuckle (MM3), Crash Bomber (MMII)
Counter Attack: Only attacks you if you attack him, move near him, or after a bit of time passes. Deadly Disc: Metal Blades. Denial of Diagonal Attack: The Metal Blade averts this. Extra Ore Dinary: Named "Metal Man" and his weapons are metallic. For Massive Damage: Metal Blade will slaughter this Robot Master. Hoist by His Own Petard: The Metal Blade kills him in one hit on Normal and two hits on Difficult and in the Japanese version. Inconveniently Placed Conveyor Belt: His whole stage is full of them. Even his boss room has one! Infinity+1 Sword: not him, but his weapon's ability to fire in eight directions makes the game significantly easier, and a glitch can give one infinite ammo. No Sell: Air Shooter, Bubble Lead, Time Stopper, and Leaf Shield. Red Eyes, Take Warning: His portrait and official art work. The cartoon takes this Up to Eleven. Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Originally was this to Cut Man, until Divergent Character Evolution took helm. Warmup Boss: He's a fairly easy boss with a simple pattern. It doesn't help that his weapon is also the best in the game. Weaksauce Weakness: is (in)famously weak to his own weapon.
