Returning, Their Words cracked the egg and watched as flecks of shell landed into the quickly cooking white. Hissing softly in disappointment, he realized his mistake had been too much pressure. Oh well. When it was done, he gladly ate it. Delicious!

Ginger Root rolls up, greeting both My Very Best and Pull Through with a familiarity that to anyone else would suggest they were old friends. Unfortunately this wasn't familiarity earned, but the hopeful gestures of a young doe faking it, as it were, until she made it as a known, valued and included member of her tribe. Not to say any one excluded her, oh no! But she was just a grunt, barely noticed! She was so ready to be a core member, someone everyone could rely on, she wanted to excel! And it was with this enthusiasm and dedication that she channeled into her egg cracking! ...Honestly she's was a little surprised the egg was half decent after she basically smashed it on the edge of the stone and hastily juggled that egg's insides onto the banana leaf. By some saving grace the egg's yolk was still intact and there were only a few tiny pieces of shell littering it's whites. There was stunned silence as her egg cooked.

Not for Eats was back. He had to redeem himself! He could do this egg thing! Right? ... couldn't he? Apparently not. He dropped the egg and shattered the shell and tore the leaf when cooking the egg. This was a lot harder then it looked!

"I’ve bought the extra supplies!" Sunspot very carefully deposited the extra eggs (they were going so quickly!) on the ground beside the booth and then selected one, waiting for the next kin to do their egg before she stepped up again. "Not too bad," she decided after her egg cracked messily but mostly whole. "I'll do even better tomorrow!"

Lily watched, baffled, as kin after kin lined up to do some weird "chicken" egg thing. "It's a good thing for you," she told the kin who seemed to be in charge, "that none of these eggs are nearly small enough to resemble acha eggs." That was a little creepy, for her. As it was, though, the contents looked nothing like kin, and she was pretty sure she'd look adorable eating one of those white and gold egg things. They'd match! Except for the green. That was where her sister came in, usually, but, well. She wasn't here now, was she? She took an egg obligingly and bonked it on the stone, watching it turn white and solid fairly rapidly. She was so engrossed that she forgot to remove the shell until some of it was already baked into her new treat. Oh well - it looked pretty, right?

Conspiratorially, Best leaned in to the doe right before she left. " My dad almost cooked an Acha once, when they'd just arrived and we had no idea that they came in eggs. We're better at telling which is which now, though!" He straightened up with a little smile, that was almost naughty enough to be a smirk. " Enjoy and come again!"

The smell of cooking eggs was so inviting. So much so that Flight had completely abandoned his purpose at the frog kissing booth to get himself a warm meal. The egg he'd cooked last time had been absolutely delicious-if a bit messy-and it had occurred to the buck that he hadn't eaten yet today. He hardly gave the bucks running the place a glance before picking up an egg and cracking it onto the hot slab. Clearly his technique hadn't improved any since the last time. A couple pieces of shell sat on the yolk and the white had splattered a little bit. But it was going to be tasty nonetheless and that was all Flight cared about.

20 December 14 to 30: your cracking was OK! Maybe bits of shell or lost white, but the yolk is intact. [2 tokens] The hungry acha is back for more foods........
Undertaker was really excited today and peeked over the buck's shoulder as he was 'working' there again. "These eggs are delicious," she huffed, and rolled an egg away from the fresh pile of laid eggs with her tiny hoof.
"I remember how to do it. Want to watch me today? You do not have to if you do not want to, of course," and she positioned herself snugly before the hot flat rock. She could already imagine how much it would bubble and sizzle again in front of he eyes.
She opened her mouth wide and sucked the egg into it like a vacuum. Carefully, she then pushed it out of her mouth with her tongue and watched it fall onto the banana leaf below. Drops of saliva followed the tiny egg onto the leaf and the acha watched the rock do its magic.
A crack was heard and the yellow yolk remained intact and visible in the center of the egg whites. "Mmmm, look at it..." she spoke out, salivating a little bit more than usual. "I did a good job cracking, yes? There are only teensy weensy tiny flecks of shell stuck on it this time..."
Undertaker licked her lips as she waited for the perfect timing to eat her cooked egg.

Lily had to admit it - she shrank back, at that. "Well!" she huffed. "I might return if you let me inspect your stock. Just to be sure, you know."

thyPOPE it's terrible we were so proud of that event where we first had a salamander and almost cooked an Acha >__> Best laughed, and stepped aside. " Have a look if you'd like! Most of the eggs for the booth are from the little ladies behind." The two hens were rested quite comfortably now, cooing pleasantly at the warmth radiating from the front of the booth in winter. Pull Through gently nudged one's rear to the side slightly, and retrieved an egg that looked thankfully un-Acha-y.

He was almost tempted to attempt using his nimble hooves, but found the egg cracking as soon as he bit down on it. He managed to get it onto the banana leaf though, and was quite surprised to find he liked it cooked, too.

This time, the yolk stayed intact. Streams was very proud of herself for this fact (she had, in fact, been practicing with eggs she'd found of her own, not that it had done much good– these chicken eggs were different than most of the ones she could find at this time of year) even if she had let some of the white dribble off the leaf and onto the hot rock instead.
Still, the egg was... delicious. Very different from when the yolk had broken and cooked completely– still golden-yellow in the middle. Delicious!
