She reached up and put her fingers in his mouth, stretching his lips around comically before finally leaving him be. "Right, sure. Whatever you say, sweetheart." She murmured sassily, before turning back to snuggle into him, working extra hard to find her groove in his body. It was, possibly, a little vengeful of her to do this. She did not look guilty about it. She pressed play in the movie, and as it began to play, she let out a deep, contented sigh.

Dawson stuck his tongue out and knocked shoulders briefly; maybe some of her brattiness was rubbing off of him. "Lucky I didn' bitecha fingers," he rumbled, trying to put up a front against her lack of faith. "s**t. Gettin' all cozy right after ya nibble my neck, ya sneak..."

"There's nothing sneaky about me. You know I'm always secretly hoping you'll like it." But there was a sneaky smile lifting her lips, as she refused to turn around - or back off of him. After all, this was her comfy spot. "Let me know if it ever starts working. I'll get back to your neck for a while." Her body shook just slightly, as she tried to hold her laughter in. Movie? What movie?

Not sneaky? He snorted at the thought. "The hell are ya, a vampire?" he joked. "Slow yer roll, Eddie Cullen, I like my head where it's at."

"Maybe." She whispered, reaching for his arm and pulling it until it wrapped around her body. "Maybe I am. Maybe I'm just trying to soften you up until I finally suck you dry." She heard the joke, sitting there, waiting to be made, and let it go unsaid. That was how much she cared. "I guess you won't know until it's too late." She warned, putting his pointer finger in her mouth and gnawing gently on it.

She didn't need to say it; the nervous shiver up his spine happened regardless.
"Honey, m'already softer 'an warm cookie dough," Dawson pointed out with a small chuckle, hastily tossing a joke in. "That gotta be the reason you diggin' right in like you do, huh? Kneading yer claws in like a cat before curling up." And still nibbling on him as it would seem. "Seriously, I'm curious now why you always on about the gnawin' like a teethin' pup."

Her teeth stopped and she pulled his finger out, staring at it with dark curiosity. "I never really thought about it. And knowing me, I probably shouldn't. For all I know there's some sick, twisted reason why I feel better when I'm biting. Like, comforting. I don't know how to explain it. It's not like I want to hurt you, you know I never do. Biting down on softness just feels.. nice." She turned around again; Beauty and the Beast was suddenly forgotten for the millionth time. "Maybe that's why I want to bite you here, so bad. It feels so good." She tickled his stomach, bearing down on it with her 'claws'. "I don't want to hurt you though. Honest."

"Huh..." He wasn't sure he quite understood but nodded nevertheless--or at least he would have if Maebe hadn't suddenly picked up her tickle assault. Rather than a giggle, however, all she managed was a wiggling belly and a small swat on her claws.
"I believe ya," Dawson continued. "Funny how y'used t'scare me. Not that y'still can't 'r anythin'." Maebe had made that clear whenever they had argued about Caly before, or how the future conversation about amnesia would go.
After a moment, he nudged her again and said, "Girl, you ain' even payin' attention. We about t'hit the mob part!" Like Netflix and chill hadn't been the start of this whole thing.

She didn't think it was very funny. She knew exactly how much she'd scared Dawson - and exactly how much she scared him, even now. The way she touched him, and asked for too much. The way she wished more than anything that he could love her. The way she was ready for too much, when he wasn't ready for much at all. She knew she was scary. She did not find it funny in the least. He nudged her back towards the movie, and she could hear the sound of Gaston driving people's fear with his voice, but she stayed turned towards him. Her hand lifted up, curving around his cheek the way she often did, not because she thought he would enjoy it, but because she held something precious in her hands. "I know it by heart already." She assured him, dropping her hand back down to hide between them, pressed against his chest as she smushed herself on him. To prove that her claim was legitimate, she sang along quietly with Gaston, word for word, in soft whispers. "So it's time to take some action boys, it's time to follow me."

He almost thought she would start pushing right then, but maybe he still seemed too nervous about it. Maybe no movie would be enough to assuage it. She didn't want to take her eyes off him either.
"You fulla surprises," he noted as Beast's friends began to prep for the assault, unsure if it would be more helpful or more awkward to touch her back. "I oughta help fill out the Disney collection ya got here fer Christmas. What's missin'?"

Maebe did not want movies for Christmas. "I haven't gone through the list in here yet. I just assumed that as meticulous as he was, Taym had all the ones worth watching." It didn't hurt to hear his name, which was a good sign. It did, however, hurt to think about him, and it was more of a slow burn pain than some sharp stab in her heart. So she buried her head in his chest, and muffled her words out through his shirt. "Look through the list, if you see anything missing, I guess it's up to you to buy it for me."

Ah....s**t. Now he did put an arm around her and finally took his eyes off the movie to gaze mournfully at the top of Maebe's head. "Sometime later I will," he said. "You alright, hun?"

She nestled into his embrace, easily comforted by the overbearing warmth his body emitted when he held her this close. "Yeah. It's okay. You don't have to stop talking about the movies. I'm always going to be sad when I think about him, I can't let that stop me from living my own life." It stopped him from living his. She couldn't follow in his footsteps one last time. It didn't matter how much comfort she secretly took in knowing he wasn't so very different - she had to be different, in this. She had to be. "Keep talking about the movies. It's okay."

Dawson rubbed her back soothingly. "Alright, uh...Wonder if it's got all the sequels," he mused aloud. Maybe it was strange to in the middle of the climactic fight playing out before them. "Even the bad ones. Like Brother Bear 2, holy s**t. Or what's the newest it's got...Oh! You should get the Star Wars movies, Mayb, that's technically with Disney now..." And on did he ramble as the movie drew to a close.

Oh boy. Maebe did not want to say what she was about to admit, and the look on her face as she pulled away made it very clear she was not happy about it. "I've only seen like, a half hour of the first Star War." Yes, she called it a Star War. "I mean, I know all of the memes because internet. But whatever." And her only experience of the movie was Mark. Mark. Her nose crunched up as if she'd smelled something bad.
