Crispin held his chin up by his clawed paw. The active youngster liked playing more than anything. Class was so tedious and boring when you had to sit still. However, he was afraid if he kept this up he'd never move on. Hearing about his twin's making it to Junior meant he was not only shorter, but a complete slacker. Biting on his lower lip, he realized this a bit late. Even if he was dragging his paws a bit over the matter at least the long haired grimm boy was coming to terms with his responsibilities.

When it was his turn to give a number he smiled confidently and held up three clawed digits. "Three! I think it's a pretty cool number if you ask me" He added giggling even a bit before settling back down in his chair. He reached out, taking his assignment when it was passed to him. Sitting in silence, his legs swung idly under his chair as the boy frowned. Cris listened to the instructions, and then glanced back down at the chart. Most of this was pretty easy! He had a decent understanding with numbers. The last one gave him a bit of trouble, and ultimately he picked the 6 on a whim, guessing.

The young Grimm frowned. That wasn't right. Crispin realized that he'd made a mistake, and began to scribble at it. He quickly drew a wobbly circle around the 8 instead. When that was done, and he'd written his name carefully at the top he quietly went to turn in his assignment.

Their teacher's announcement that they didn't do so hot with midterms didn't sway Hailey much at all. Mathematics was boring stuff to her. It wasn't until he told them they had a quiz on their desks to take that she cared, groaning and grumbling under her breath, head thunking on the desktop. "This blows" she grumped to herself. Yeah, she might not be the best at math, but couldn't he just make the kids that didn't do so great take the quiz instead of making everyone do it?! ... Though after a moment of thought, she pondered that she could be one of those kids. Ah whatever! Turning the stupid paper over on her stupid desk, Hailey grabbed up her sparkle pen and began to write her answers. They seemed easy freakin' peasy until the second to last one. "What the crap?..." Her pen scrawled out a little note next to it with a grump face doodle next to the problem. She finished the last question and got up to turn it in. Crunching her lollipop as she set the paper down, she turned about on her heels quickly -- with a little added sass -- then returned to her seat. Crap! It wasn't until she sat down that she realized that she forgot to answer the stupid problem that made no sense to her. Groaning once more, her head touched down on the desk again.

He remembered liking math class. But that was when he was still a freshling. Apparently, growing up meant a lot of things he took for granted got a whole lot harder. And now without his ~adowable~ mannerisms to fall back on, Charmstar was going to have to back up his talk with actual substance.

He'd wisened up this time, no more note passing in class! At least not the obvious, poorly hidden kind of note passing. But for now, he focused on the quiz, and scribbled down his answer. Feeling proud of his accomplishments, he marched towards their teacher and handed in his paper. With an accompanying wink and whisper of, "Maybe we did poorly the last time so you could give us extra attention~"

Parox stared down at the paper in front of her, tail curling around one of her feet. Okay, focus Parox. Time to get out of this class for good. She took a deep breath and then got to work on the test. After she finished she looked it over quickly and then rushed the paper to the litch teacher.

Dianthe breezed through the math problems. She didn't want to be the first one to turn in her test though, in case other Freshlings thought she was showing off. To bide some time, the little Litch girl doodled little hearts around her answers, her mind spacing a little until a big fluffy Imp boy bumped into her desk a little on his way up to the front of the class. She followed him and turned in her assignment, returning back to her desk with a soft sigh.

After scanning the front of the test Rose turned to the back, hoping there would be something there she remembered. Aha! She completed a couple problems, and the more she did, the more came back to her. She was able to complete the test just as the teacher announced that there was five minutes left of class. She triumphantly marched up to the teacher and handed in her final, and reclined in her seat, confident that she at least passed with a decent grade.

Alright, so Nissa had to admit, it took her a bit to understand exactly what her teacher meant by circle the bigger number. She assumed that meant circle the number that is visually bigger, but then she realized halfway through that that wasn't the case.

Luckily for her, the teacher had accidentally given her two sheets of paper with the assignment, so it was easy enough for her to just start over now that she had a better understanding.

"Here you go teacher!" she said with a giggle as she tried to flutter her way over to the Nightmare, her wings not quite strong enough yet to truly lift her up, but that didn't stop her from trying.

Rowan really liked numbers, and had been secretly flipping through their parents' books at home every now and then. So this assignment wasn't really all that hard. The hardest part was writing down their name nicely.. for some reason they never seemed to do it in a satisfactory way. Ears drooping a little, Rowan turned in their assignment, and quickly returned to their desk.
