"Nyah! I got a better rose!" Thorn said as he waved the rose under Amos's nose. Amos snorted and looked away with a scowl. Kylie shook her head at the two males with her, then reached carefully out to pick a rose.

Kylie held the rose and opened the note "Whats that?" Thorn asked while poking his nose over Kylies shoulder.
"It says I can pick another rose" Kylie stated with a tilt of her head. Amos gave her a silent nudge, and she handed the red rose to the vampire before leaning out to pick another.

Gah! More angry animals! Katie waved her hand crossly at the squirrel as it sat among the roses and cussed at her in squirrel. "Get out of here you little b*****d! Go hunt some nuts or something!" She huffed as the squirrel scampered away, conceded to herself that one was expected to run into vermin in a garden, and reached for another rose. Maybe she should have brought some thick, fashionable gloves.

Go hunt some nuts or something!" She huffed as the squirrel scampered away, conceded to herself that one was expected to run into vermin in a garden, and reached for another rose. Stefan jumped backwards in clear surprise, the feathers of his wings ruffling at the unexpected appearance. His eyes glided over the... dark and unmoving figure, noting the gaping wound on the chest, the knife in one hand, and a... heart? in the other. "Damnit, Zek... I should have known there would be some frights in this garden..." he murmured under his breath, clutching the two roses protectively before moving along to another bush, unaware that the dark figure was not just a dummy, and was following along like his shadow. He viewed a rose bush carefully, trying to decipher whether or not it was safe. Hesitantly, he reached for a rose...
