 Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- Oh so pretty~  A good amount of the floor was beginning to clear up as the hills of cans were pushed into the portal to who knows where. Folly stopped for a moment frozen, then trying to keep a flat face while still looking down scooting cans, " Well, over years, you see, it well... it takes a lot for it to effect me, so I usually end up drinking... well... very much I must say... I am somewhat lazy when it comes to cleaning, so it gets like this every other month or so." She let out somewhat embarrassed. Finally getting next to Kira and pushing the last pile of cans and stray cans and bottles into the portal, the front room and kitchenette now clear of cans and bottles and kegs. Folly stepped up to the portal in the floor, looking down through it. The portal seemed to empty out into a grass field somewhere... " Oh my-- uhrmm." Closing the portal quickly in hopes that Kira wouldn't see that the portal looked like it was dumping out at the park, or somewhere similar with benches and paths. Walking over to the table and pulling out two chairs, then to the old Victorian style tea set on the counter, and starting to prep tea. " Please, take a seat, it'll only be a moment."

Kira felt a bit awkward when Folly responded."I apologize, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable with any questions."She quickly bowed and then continued to clean.
Together, the pair pushed the final cans into the portal. Kira turned her head to check for more, just as Folly closed it. She looked back at the floor after the portal disappeared."So it would seem we are finished."She smiled and walked beside Folly towards the empty table. She took a seat and patiently waited for her hostess."You are very kind, my friend."A thought popped into Kira's mind. She was sitting straight in her chair and tapped her finger to her chin."Do you wish to speak to me about something? Or perhaps you invited me here for the simple task of helping you tidy up followed by some tea?"She tried her best not to sound rude or condescending, because that was not her intention at all. The two were spending a lot of time together lately, so a simple invitation for tea (and can cleaning) seemed a bit unusual. The pair often got together for a particular event or deep discussion, with Kira being the one usually with some sort of problem. But, she wanted this opportunity to make sure that everything with her friend was alright. After all, she was helping her with a very difficult transition.

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- Oh so pretty~ " Hmm? Oh no, it's a bad habit of mine I admit." She said then approaching the table with the tea pot and reaching up over the table's edge to poor the tea not actually able to see the tea cup from her height. Then walking over and leaning up on her tip toes to poor her cup, looking to Kira as she did so. " Well.... no, and no. I assumed the tea there would be of poor quality and most of the town was closed already for the night... as for the cleaning... well... not intentionally did I-- okay perhaps yes." She said giving a child's pouty face of embarrassment then setting the kettle on a pad and climbing up her seat to a sitting position grabbing her tea cup.

Kira sighed in the relief that she had not pried into Folly's business. She thanked her friend as she pulled the cup closer to her. The warmth of the cup was soothing after being out in the cold for several hours."My apologies, I simply had to ask. You've been so kind to me with all of my troubles that I wanted to extend the same courtesy to you."She took a sip of the tea."You always put in the exact amount of leaves. Even though there is the rule, 1 for each guest and 1 for the pot, many still manage to put too much or too little. Not to mention they don't steep it for the correct amount of time."Kira sipped it again. It was still very hot, but it didn't burn her. When Folly mentioned that she invited her over to clean, she smiled."Like I said, you've helped me with so much. If you ever need assistance with cleaning, it's not trouble at all. I will help you with whatever you need, Folly."She smiled and continued to drink her tea.

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- hmmm.... Folly taking a few sips slowly, " Well thank you, I have had a very long time to practice and nearly perfect it." She said giving a slightly happy smile and pride raised chin. Then taking another small sip. Folly looked to Kira though with a somewhat genuine but serious face, giving a tone in her voice, " You just being my friend is enough, knowing there is someone who will be around as long as I is so reassuring, almost, like it gives me a sense of having an actual purpose in this so called, life of mine." Folly was looking down in thought, but blinked twice and looked back to Kira, giving a quick smile and head tilt with her eyes closed, then taking another sip looking into her tea cup as she did so.

Kira smiled and sipped more of her tea. She was beginning to get lost in thought as she stared into the now half empty cup. Folly spoke up again, which caused Kira to look up at her. She nodded in agreement and smiled back."I find it comforting as well that no matter how dark things are, I always have you to pull me back from going in too deep."Her smile faded a bit as she let out a sigh."To think, two creatures with seemingly endless timelines such as ourselves have found each other. I don't think I could allow myself to grow close to someone who I would outlive without even realizing it."She looked into her tea and took another sip. The cup's warmness was beginning to weaken.

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- hmmm.... Folly smiled in Kira's response and nodded. Sipping the last of her tea and then resting the cup in her hands. Folly got up with a small clack on the floor of her dress shoes, and walked over to the pot, then cradling it slowly and pouring herself another small cup, then walking over next to Kira looking up to her, " It's not a fun experience, falling for someone you know you'll.. outlive, and while you are young, they age, and grow, and feel pain that you can't relate to or be compassionate of-- oh, sorry, ... another cup dear?" She asked sweetly snapping back to.

Kira let out a sigh and continued to look at her lukewarm half empty cup of tea."I have only witnessed love from the shadows, I do not quite understand it yet. I am not even sure that such emotion was part of my creation."She looked at Folly when offered more tea."Yes, more tea would be lovely, thank you."Kira held her cup while more tea was being poured, feeling the cup warm up again."The interesting thing about the children I've encountered, is that they are completely unaware of the absence of the life before them. They have no concept of eternity, and because they are so young, most have no idea what it means to outlive someone. They live in their own present moment, and Death is usually a new idea to them. It's funny, what I've learned from them. They live in simplicity. All they care about is eating, sleeping, and playing. They don't understand what mortality means. To be so naive, is something many people envy."She looked back down at her cup."But is knowing nothing that much better than knowing everything? Is there truly peace in that?"She let out a sigh and took a sip from her cup.

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- hmmm.... Folly after pouring the tea set the pot back down and got back to her seat, attentively listening to Kira, and nodding on occasion. Taking a moment to sip her tea and think on the question, then looking to Kira, " There does seem to be a bliss to the idea of ignorance of life and death, of this cruel world... but in your case and in a ways same in my own, what if we were ignorant, and we even went as far to ensure it... where would we be, what would have happened, who might have, having more knowledge than us, used us, corrupted us... with knowledge comes understanding, and that is why it is better to be more knowledgeable, always learning, always investigating, you may never know when knowing something may save not only your own but another's life." She said, not so much as a lecture but very fluid and influential with head gestures and bobs and her fingers waving some as she spoke.

Kira sipped her tea slowly. As Folly spoke, she continued to look down at her cup. It wasn't until she finished that Kira looked up at her."An ignorant Reaper would be unsuccessful at their job. How can we explain death and mortality to children, and other deceased souls, if we ourselves are unaware of it all? True, I'd rather be knowledgeable. I don't care for surprises much. I've seen what happens when a Reaper meets their End. It's unnatural and goes against the true balance of the world, but it has happened. Reapers weren't always being hunted, you know. It wasn't until my own creation that more and more humans and magical beings began to come after us."She looked back at her cup, her eyes widening a bit as she clenched the sides of the hot cup."We are hypothetically immortal. We do not die. We simply transform when we meet our End. But, killing Death itself? Unimaginable, unthinkable, but people try. The after life isn't so bad, you know. Leaving this world would be a blessing! Why, then, do they seek to defy us? To defy me! Don't they understand the consequences of what they do!?"Kira's voice grew louder and her eyes started glowing as she spoke. She gripped the cup so tightly it shattered completely, spilling hot tea over the table. When she realized what she'd done, she covered her mouth and looked at Folly with sad eyes."I'm...I'm so sorry. I've made a terrible mess and here my behavior is inexcusable. Please, forgive me."She looked at the ground while waving her hand, using shadows to pick up the shattered pieces of the cup and the spilled tea.

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- Dear! Folly raised up some as Kira's anger grew up until the cup burst. Folly closed her eyes and let out a breath, getting up and quickly walking over to Kira with a towel in hand. Gently taking Kira's hands and wiping the tea and few pieces off and then with one hand setting the towel on the table to soak the tea, her other hand reached and wrapped around Kira's mid section and brought herself in tight to her chest in a hug. " It's okay dear, it's okay." She continued the hug before leaning back some a few moments later looking up to her, " You must understand, when someone lives forever as we would, death is almost a blessing... however, to someone who would feel lucky to only live 80 years, life is valuable to them, and it's only natural to want to keep it. They don't defy you, just the concept."

Kira helped clean the mess up. If it were anyone other than Folly, she would have left after such an outburst. But, Folly knew her better than anyone. She could be herself around Folly. She patted Folly on the top of the head, letting out a sigh."If I were to be killed, I would become a Dusk. To be honest, I'd rather not become one of those mindless soul guardians. I prefer to exist like this. That seems to be my only purpose these days...Aside from being your companion, of course."She nodded in agreement with Folly's statement."I still don't understand why someone would defy Death. It's up to you where your soul goes, anyway."
Kira let out a heavy sigh."I'm sorry, Folly..."

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- Dear! Folly finished wiping and brought both of her hands to Kira's, holding them thoughtfully and gently. Looking up to Kira who was sitting, " Kira Dear, humans, other beings, not all have the knowledge we possess, the understanding of things, of life, of what comes after, and whether there even is anything after. And those who are unknowing in their faith in what comes after, aren't scared of death, or the act of it, it's the unknowing or uncertainty of what will come after, if anything... in their mind." ..... Folly looked at Kira's chest for a moment in thought... then back up with a slight frown, " Not all get to decide where their soul goes upon death... sometimes their soul goes neither to heaven or hell... sometimes villains and evil creatures like myself take them for their own using...... oh Kira, Dear, you have nothing to be sorry for, you have no wrong doing you need to do right."

Kira didn't meet Folly's eyes as the small vampire spoke to her. She didn't know what to say. She was feeling the anger build up again. She simply nodded, pushing a loose strand of hair back behind her ear."I do not blame myself for the souls that wouldn't go. Each one is entitled to their own decision. But I cannot help but blame myself for the souls I couldn't save. If I were faster, perhaps they would have had the choice to go or stay. So much has changed in this world over the course of a few short centuries, even decades. Giving one's own soul to darkness is more prominent now, because people fear Death so much. The greed for power has also become worse...If only they'd realize that power is not what they imagine it to be."Suddenly, the voice came back. The dreaded voice that was asleep for the time being...returned."Kira...they do not know of the power they crave...perhaps you should show them.....No...go back to the darkness from whence you came....I do not want to deal with you again...Oh but my dear...you'll need me to deal with those who oppose you...Enough!Kira clenched her fists as she fought the voice in her head. Finally, it was silenced. She let out a deep breath.

Ａｓｍｏｄｅｕｓ Ｆｏｌｌｙ ---Councelor--- Kira.... Folly looked on observing Kira's expressions and listening intently. Only being able to nod in response to Kira's remark, seeing as it was true and Folly agreed, but on one part she didn't, it was on the ones she couldn't save, how you simply can't always achieve what you want, it can't be perfect... but before being able to speak Folly leaned in some looking closer at Kira, and seeing fists clench within her own hands, Folly didn't dare to try to enter her mind, but saw the internal turmoil. " Kira..." Folly spoke softly but dominantly. " Kira... is everything alright..." Folly asked.
