The doctor's words were harsh. Daniel could feel the aggressiveness pushing him just from her tone. This woman, she wasn't kind. She reminded him so much of his past. The tribal elders, and worst of all, his mother. Daniel was slowly fading out of visibility as his fear of the spider woman grew by simply associating her with the coven that had rejected him. It was enough to make the novice begin snivelling and tearing. This was a place void of pity. Just because he paid her, didn't mean she had to care, but it would have been nice if she did. There almost no way Daniel was going divulge anything to the spider woman.

It didn't take long for the butler to take notice of Daniel's apprehension. The boy was seizing up with fear. This environment was not kind to the novice and he was only allowed few comforts. The genie by the young wizard's side was his closest and only friend. The butler was closer to a father but still very distant. But, as is was his job, it was the butler's duty to communicate Daniel's feelings anyway he could. The spiffily dressed dandy stood up and adjust the knot in his tie before walking over to the doctor. It was time to show just exactly what she dealing with, as well as give her a reason to show a smidge of pity toward the boy. "Hold still, madam. This should help speed things along." The butler slowly reached out his arm around the spider woman's neck before pressing down on her spinal column and taking her into a world far from her office. Not literally of course. The two remained where they were physically. Mentally, they were in another realm. What would seem like forever to them would be only a few short minutes to everyone outside.

It look like Damian was getting to witness one of the woman's therapy sessions. It wasn't much of a treat. Her presence and attitude was striking fear into the other boys heart. Damian could relate to the guy, and he felt pretty bad for him. If she were just a human, and Damian wasn't forcibly at her beck and call, he would have stood up for the novice. But this wasn't like it was back home with the humans, and actions like that had dire consequences. Instead, Damian stared at the floor reluctantly once the other boy began tearing up, trying to ignore what was happening. It was then the butler spoke up and actually touched the lady. Damian was shocked that the man had such courage. That wasn't all he did too. To Damian's amazement, the butler seemed to teleport away with the monster woman.

He wasn't sure what to do, and the two other guests seemed just as surprised. Wondering how much time the butler and the spider woman would be gone, he thought about making an escape with the others. 'It couldn't be that easy though, could it?' he thought to himself. Now might be the only chance he had to speak freely though, might as well take advantage of it.

"I…I'm sorry that she's so terrible….maybe you both should get out of here"

Daniel's last thought was how he could possibly make this woman understand how he felt. She was so scary and harsh. What could he possibly say or do that would sway her opinion. Just then the butler stood up. Daniel almost reached out for his newest companion not to leave his side. The novice watched as the well dressed gentleman took matters into his own hands, and began to talk to the spider woman. What happened next, was beyond Daniel's threshold of knowledge. According to Dajin, the minds of both the butler and the doctor had gone somewhere else. The genie was again awaiting orders from her master. "I..I don't really know what to do." Daniel answered

As it appeared, the butler let go of the spider woman's neck and took a few step back from her. The two were now in a world completely foreign to their own. Everything was dark, yet so vibrant. It was like being inside a nebula in space with strips of light flashing all around. "Master Daniel is but a simple person. True, he lacks any sort of intellectual forte, but he makes up for it in innocence and kindness. Though, he is quite wary of who to show such kindness towards. A whole childhood of neglect and abuse can do that. It left Daniel the way he is today." Suddenly, the stars and nebulas all around them began to move. They swirled and spiraled like water going down a drain until there was only blackness. Then came a light. A scene of little girls laughing and pointing. The scene then revealed itself to be a younger Daniel being tormented and called "jackdaw". "One of Master Daniel earliest memories is being called the name Jackdaw. While it wouldn't be his formal name, tt would be used to bully the boy. Daniel was born to a coven of witches who called themselves, "The Flock". The exclusivity of the coven is limited only to women and only to those who are born into the coven. Men are shunned and rejected. Daniel had the misfortune to be born into such a cult. While other girls were praised with names such as swan or dove, Daniel was mocked and bullied with the name of a bird that often has a bad reputation. In the Aesop Fables, the Jackdaw is often a foolish bird that is used as an example for blunderous acts." Pictures and scenes of Daniel's less than pleasant life all flashed by in the Butler and his newest tourist. It was in an attempt to show the arachne his master's plight in life. "Imagine Doctor. A whole life segregated from what should be common in many people's lives. Love, happiness, friendship, support. Has anything similar happened to you in your lifetime? Being shunned by your own family, hurt because you were different. It's all happened to Daniel simply for reasons beyond his control."

After telling Dr. Coraline about Daniel's past and hearing her take on it, the Butler sighed. This woman had been through some past of her own. He could tell that much for her tone as he struck a nerve with her when asking about her own past. Either way, having the eight legged psychiatrist to open up and possibly be somewhat human was going to be a fruitless adventure. "Very well." He said plainly. There was nothing more for the two discuss. It was all up to Daniel from on out. The Butler placed his fingers on the back of the arachne's neck, and returned them to the world of conscious minds. But not before leaving her a parting gift. A squall of sheer raw emotions. The bitter feeling of being truly alone. The Butler then walked back and beside his young master with his prim and proper poised posture. "I have done all I can, master Daniel. It up to you now. Don't be afraid of Lady Coraline. Whether she looks like it or not, she's just as afraid as you are."[/b]

In what must have been only a minute, the Butler was back at Daniel's side. The man in the orange suit had returned. For some reason, the boy wanted to hug him. Even though Daniel was unsure if should trust the well mannered figure, he felt he could least reach out to him. Daniel then heard a voice in his head. It was the Butler. His voice was ringing inside Daniel's pint sized little noggin. The boy turned every which way before realizing it and looking up the man in wonder. If what he said was true, the spider woman might not be as scary as she truly seemed. The young novice still remained cautious of her, regardless. Clutching his staff, Daniel's lips wobbled. What was he to say now? "I want..." The boy stammered. Daniel's mind was racing with ideas. He wasn't sure how these sort things were suppose to go. Unintentionally, his staff began to glow. "I want to not be afraid." He finally blurted out. It didn't really make any sense, but it was what came to the novice's mind.

With the spider lady talking again, it seems like the two were back to reality. Now the window of opportunity was gone. Damian still felt like the genie and the boy should have fled. He didn't understand why they didn't leave. If Damian had that kind of chance, he would take it in a heartbeat. If he left just then, however, she would probably call the police, or hunt him down herself. With a small sigh, he resumed his solemn stare at the ground until he was needed, listening to the conversation. It sounded like 'Mistress' was going to give them a hard time. She was already teasing the genie, and he knew she wasn't going to stop there.

Dajin couldn't even look at her master straight in the face when he asked her about what Coralline about the next step. She didn't want to tell him nor was she obligated to since it wasn't a wish but the spider lady seemed intent on fully explaining on what the two of them were discussing. Her master is so innocent to all this. To expose him to this topic in a situation like this didn't seem right. Besides, what was so wrong about letting him be the way he is? Dajin doesn't have a problem with that. Well, there was no stopping the spider lady.

"Oh? You don't know? My goodness. I wonder what rock you been living under, but that's not what I'm getting paid for here. If you really want to know, I can talk to you fully about the birds and the bees. Maybe then you'll stop being a bumbling buffoon."

"There is nothing wrong with my master the way he is right now."

"Last time I checked, the decisions he makes are his and his alone. You don't have any power over him. Of course, you would know that better as a genie now wouldn't you?"

To say that Daniel has been living under a rock for all his life is too generous. Even abusive families eventually inform their children about sex one way or another even if its too late. Was his family so cruel that they won't even expose him to that sort of thing? Coralline would have figured that they would just to torture in him in some way. After all, she can think of dozens of methods of torture using sex as her tool but that isn't what she is here for today. Despite the genie's protest, she is going to enjoy exposing this boy to a world he has never known. First thing she did was spin some toward the genie's mouth to shut her up. Then she pulled Daniel close to her, looking at him with her evil grin before she whispered creepily into his ear.

"I'm going to tell you something about birds and bees that you don't know."

"You see boy...bees carry and deposit pollen into flowers...you are meant to do the same thing to girls with a special thing covered by your underpants...and how do you this? Well, lets take a look at your genie friend. She has something special hiding in her skimpy dress. That's where you put your special thing...over...and over...and over again. Your genie is like a bird. At certain times, she will have eggs waiting for your "pollen". If they receive your "pollen", then she will have a baby and you will be a daddy...by the way, your "pollen" is sperm...you like your genie friend right?
