">You're the type to say what for and have at thee aren't you?<" Jekyll said shrewdly, narrowing his eyes and stroking his chin. Hmmm.....this was not good. Not good indeed. There was only one way to handle this...
">Goodbye!<" The Poison-type said before waving and running off in the near opposite direction. This was not going to be a pleasant experience.
Starter Pokemon: Croagunk [M] Name & Level: Jekyll, Lv 3 [Temperament] Naughty Bio:The story of how Argyle met Jekyll is a bit of an odd one. After purchasing a bulk shipment of skin rejuvenating mud from Sinnoh's Great Marsh (Guarnteed to take twenty years off your appearance!), Mistress Rosevelt had set aside some time for a fully immersive experience with the product, during which she received quite the surprise. It would seem the mud had come with stowaway in the form of an egg. Unfortunately it was about this same time the egg decided to hatch, splattering the aristocratic woman with muck and eggshell. After a shriek and shrill cry for the nearest Argyle to attend her, Verde arrived and was immediately ordered to dispose of the creature, although not before cleaning up the mess it had created. Whispering a snide remark just below his breath, both Mistress and Argyle were in for a surprise when the newly born Croagunk began to snicker devilishly. It seemed the Poison-type had heard the boy, and shared his sense of humor. Amused by this fact the young Butler then went about the task of convincing Mistress Rosevelt that the Croagunk would be quite useful in his regular duties, allowing him to make the manor to "shine as radiantly as you do Mistress Rosevelt". Little more in the way of convincing was required on the boy's part, and so he obtained his first and for the time being only Pokemon.
Since then Jekyll has proven a good match for Argyle, frequently snickering at the boy's comments be they made aloud, or simply implied. Unlike Argyle however Jekyll does nothing to hide his wicked nature, frequently mocking others quite openly and then laughing about it. Though cruel he is not crude, and more than willingly to amuse himself by catching the enemy off guard. (20-14)+(8-8 ) = 6 DMG! Jekyll is at 7 HP!
The Nosepass cackled as he bounced off the Croagunk. >If you want... HAVE AT THEE!< He decided his best option was to roll away, farther down into the cave. It'd helped the first time, so perhaps it would keep working? One could only hope.

Instead of cringing away, Alice deeply inhaled the foul air. "It's awful!" she cheerfully informed Vorpal, who'd look at her in confusion. (He no longer needed to breathe, so he didn't see the appeal.) She smiled over the bog. Even if it was technically ugly, it was a place she'd never seen, so she had to appreciate it! Though she'd see how she felt further into the bog. Careful not to slip, she stepped forward onto the first lilypad, and continued forward.
">You're not having at anything! You're just running away! This was not what they meant when they said a rolling stone gather's no moss!<" Jeykll cried out after the Nosepass, shaking a small fist ">Besides, this is MUD!<" Calling this aloud the Croagunk would then kick a large clump of dirt into the air, grabbing it with his tongue and shoving it into his mouth. Swishing it briefly he'd then tilt his head back and spit! Yup no throwing this time, just a good old Mud-slap loogie!

In the Garden of Monsters
As she followed the trail of lilypads Alice would come across a rather odd scene. The waters of the bog rippled as a pair of webbed feet flailed about, splashing water and feathers everywhere. When the movement calmed a Ducklett would pull its head out of the water, downing slimy green plant-life with it's bill. Seemed someone was having lunch.
(16 - 8 ) + (9 - 9) = 8 x 2 = 16 DMG! Nosepass is at -1 HP!
The Nosepass would be smacked right in the back of the head, which sent him flying into a cave wall. There was a loud cracking noise, and the Nosepass fell over. It was a strike!

Running forward a few steps Jekyll would drop to his knees and slide another foot as he cried out ">GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!<" If he had a shirt he probably would have torn it off right about now. As it happened he didn't, so he wouldn't be taking part in that particular ritual this time.
Before Jekyll could break into a victory dance and perhaps a musical number however, Argyle would snatch up the amphibian from behind and place him on his shoulder. The Poison-type had done well, and from the looks of things maybe even grown a little stronger for it; but they still had a job to do. Besides with the ruckus they'd just caused it probably wasn't wise to loiter. "Come on, we don't want to partake of this particular halftime show" Argyle said as he turned towards what he thought was the opposite of the way they came and began running forward.

In all the excitement Argyle had nearly forgotten about the heat....nearly. It wasn't more than a minute of.....ok fine fifteen whole seconds of running before he was sweating, panting, and ready to make his peace with the creator. This was why he hated the heat. It was awful. It made you sweaty and sticky and smelly, and it made it nearly impossible to do anything but sit there and complain about the heat.

Truding further into the cavern, Argyle would actually be forced to remove Jekyll from his shoulder for a moment. Placing the frog down on a nearby rock, the boy would then proceed to walk a few steps away to lean against a larger stone, panting and about ready to heave. He didn't particularly feel like vomiting with a Croagunk looking over his shoulder so this was the alternative.
Jekyll would of course be his usual encouraging self ">GO FOR DISTANCE! BONUS POINTS IF IT GOES FURTHER THAN YOU ARE TALL!<" The Pokemon cheered. It would seem even his own trainer wasn't safe from this one's mockery!

As luck would have it, or perhaps the sparse contents of his stomach, Argyle did not in fact toss his cookies. Possibly because he hadn't eaten any. Lord this heat was getting to him. He was starting to take these expressions literally like some helpless ditz. Marron Calico II for example. Now that one her he could say that out-loud too. Would just sail over her head like his words had wings.

Unlike before, Kiani and Nero weren't near a volcano. Instead, it was a reeking bog, with no clear path. However, there were lily pads in front of them and Kiani decided to take a chance on the fact that they might hold their weight. Taking a risk, Kiani jumped to the closest lily pad and turned to Nero. "Alright then, come along Nero." She said, waiting for him to join her before beginning their frog like trek.
Jin-Hua looked at the pokemon standing before them. Wasn't this Beginner's Island? Somehow this pokemon looked pretty strong. It made her a bit worried for Longwei. Were they strong enough to beat him? Either way, they were in for quite a battle it seemed. The way that the pokemon was blocking the way made it obvious they would have to fight to pass through.
Longwei snarled, looking at the Stantler and darting forward to stand in front of his trainer. ">A fight you shall get then. But I am your opponent.<" the Houndour said, fur bristling.

The Stantler snorted disdainfully ">So be it. You have made your choice, you may only blame yourself for what follows<" The King of the Forest intoned. Rather than charge the Houndour, goring him with the impressive rack of antlers he was sporting, the Normal-type would actually adjust his stance. Standing straight and tall as he had been upon his initial arrival the Stantler would look down upon his foes from on high, giving them an imperious glare as his eyes began to glow a silvery-white. It was a Leer attack, attempting to strip them of their confidence and weaken their defenses. This Guardian knew exactly what he was doing.
