I adore Nerds...those crunchy little tangy cadies are just sooooo.... heart .
XD.

Wow...cool pic Mr.Fig 3nodding ....reminds me I need to practice more! gonk

Okee Jan..interesting models...I think my appreciation would probably be helped if I ever try to paint a model...but I dun' know.
Your photography could use a bit of work though I think....your lighting's pretty good...but the flow of the pic could use some help...cropping too I would say.

Jan, I applaud your ability to apply pigmented liquid to a miniature representation of a fantastic creature manufactured by a corporation whose business it is to sell said miniature representations of fantastic creatures. Bravo.

There people go again. No one ever takes me seriously... cry

Actually, I was being mildly truthful with that. The standard bearer was very well done. Personally, I like the blood angels more, but you know, typical space marines are acceptable to everyone...

Well I think part of that was truthful.... I belive it was the busniess part....

anyways that flag guy is actully the battle commander of the army....

the standard has this HUGE blank spot on the flag.... I used a water transfer for the Spam leaders flag but there isn't one big enough for the actual Standard bearer sweatdrop

anyways I consider him one of the best models in my collection, warhammer or otherwise 3nodding

While I didn't do this I sure as hell think it's not only an amazeing model but a jaw dropping paint job as well.

Okay, how many of you people are up for writing a critique?

This is LoveDoc's avatar, she had a contest for Christmas, so I entered....

1) Love the colors used!
2) It may be just me, but the neck looks a tad long.
3) What style were you going for? US comic, manga, original? It helps me to critique if I know what parts are purposefully done. wink In general, I'd say a female's shape should be a little curvier in the mid-section -- I can see the clevage curves, but females' ribs should scoop inward when seen from the front (on most people anyway)
4) The shoulders are slightly uneven. More on proportion: The upper arms should be longer, if you look at your body right now your elbows hit at about your hips. Wrist should hit mid-thigh. A trick to arm proportions: break out the 'ol compass from middle school, the one with a pin one one side and a tiny pencil on the other, and make the arcs depending on how you're positioning the hands [A lil hard to explain, I hope you understand what I mean]
5)Since you portrayed the demonic pendant shining, you should have light source on the skin indicating that. For the most part, you did good on the primary light source -- I really love that hat!

That's all I can give ya as I haven't been drawing lately and even if I had, I do more transposition pieces and fanart cels, I don't do much original art.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, M u s e <33.

Mm..I not sure about style. I don't know a whole lot about the other styles...so I guess more cartoonish mixed with a little realism (proportion-wise...something which I obviously didn't get XD). It's just a style I've picked up....so more original I guess?

Colors: Yeah....that's one of the things I loved about her avatar, was how colorful it was^^. So I can't take much credit for that XD...

Proportions: I thought her arms were a bit short....O.o
And yeah...I think her neck is a bit long too...even though I did shorten it considerably. XD
Shoulders...I'll have to keep that in mind. I don't think I could've lenghthened the upper shoulder more...but perhaps if I had made the lower shoulder shorter....

Lighting: Oh gack...yeah...of course. I totally forgot that one....I'll need a bit of practice with that I think...to get the shading right.

Yeah, I remember compasses (dies recalling how many times math required her to use the stupid thing last year)
Only problem is that I draw everything on the computer...I'd have to get my scanner working and set up to scan in any pics....so, yeah. I'm just lazy XD....
But that's probably my my proportions keep messing themselves up.
I probably just need to practice more on paper, that way it'll come more naturally when I draw on my tablet.

Again, thanks for your critique^^, I do believe I learned quite a lot....<333
