They will be yours... in time..."
The boy was eager for power, the rage in his heart burning as hot as the flames from his blade. Xzavior noted this as the boy stood, ready to leave and train. Xzavior smiled.
It just so happens that an insect-like hollow, Izizu, has been spotted not far from here. Killing him will prove good practice for you. Who knows, perhaps you're bankai will reveal itself to you in the battle."

Xzavior held up a hand, as a small blue shard floated out of the grass, closing the 50 or so feet to Xzavior's outstretched hand. He tossed the shard up to Suki.
"You will be needing one of these."
Without another word, Xzavior began walking towards Karakura Town, where Ibizu had been wreaking havoc for quite some time, unchallenged.

Xzavior smiled wickedly as the boy questioned the shard. He was ripe for turning, and there were few things Xzavior relished more than seeing the darkness overtake the light. Within a few moments, the shard was gone, and a bone-white mask covered the boy's face.
"And now you are a Vizard. See? I always keep my word, especially when it comes to a deal."

How rude of them! She rushed to the area and was not surprised to find the crystal pillar that had sprung up not too long ago, but she was surprised to find that it was glowing. The clouds above it began swirling scarily and the winds were getting intense. Zera took one more step forward and was pushed back by a powerful gust of wind and almost immediately, the pillar was swallowed up in a torrent of winds rushing around it. Zera then only noticed that there were a bunch of bird like hollows that were gathering in the sky around the pillar as well. She did not get a good feeling about this. She wanted to attack, but she was not very good at fighting magics. She hoped that Aizawa showed up soon. Just to keep the birds at bay, she began firing a bunch of lighting down from the sky at them, hoping to buy some time. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

xxx Aizawa had to admit, he was fairly surprised that Camille agreed to join him. She was definitely a tough individual who liked to stand on her own two feet, and Aizawa respected that. There was no harm in asking for help when it was needed, in fact, it is a very wise and applaudable trait to have. But, having the drive to want to be able to handle situations on your own is also a trait that Aizawa can not only respect, but also sympathize with.
He was not surprised, however, to find Zera already on the location, but she seemed to be taking incentive as well. She was fighting off a horde of flying Hollow that had gathered around the pillar which seemed to be caught up in some sort of whirlwind for the time being. "I'm assuming our objective is to get to that pillar. It's rampaging out of control and we need to subdue it's energy output. I witnessed Section 9 do it last time, so I think I can manage it if I can get close enough. I don't know how those guys get their hands on such information . . . " He was frankly jealous of their intel, but also fairly suspicious if he was being honest with himself.
Before he could turn to Camille to give her some more direction, an eagle-like Hollow swooped down from the sky above straight for him. Aizawa, no longer binding himself to the constraints of fighting low level street thugs, Screen Stepped away, blurring through the air with immense speed. He raised his hand above his head and positioned his hand as if he was drawing a bow and immediately a pure white energy long bow appeared in his hands. He pulled back the bow string and aimed directly at the horde of Hollow. This battle looked like it would be fast paced. Camille would have to jump into things on her own, but Aizawa trusted her to hold her own even in a situation this sticky. He would focus on diminishing the number of Hollow alongside Zera for the time being, but he had a feeling now that back up had arrived, she would take on a more supportive role.
All they needed would be for Camille to make her way to the Jokaisho Pillar, if she could manage that, Aizawa would be able to convey the message through Whispering the Winds on how to reactivate the mechanism that created the barrier around the Jokaisho Pillar and the Residential District. It would push back the Hollow and hopefully dissipate the storm that Camille would have to force her way through. And it looked as if the winds were really starting to pick up. Hollows were being flung out of the air into buildings and to the ground while others rode the winds, making it harder to hit them. Signs were being blown off of their posts and debris was starting to make fighting a lot more difficult. As Aizawa stood on air above the battle ground below, continuously firing arrows at the enemy around him, he began to worry for Zera and Camille below in the thick of it. He just had to do what he could and keep as many of these mindless beasts away from them as possible.

Jameson got to the residential district as soon as he could following Elena's word. As soon as he got there he saw exactly what she was talking about; towards the center there was a massive pillar shooting up from the earth, a huge windstorm formed around it. And those... monsters. So many of them. His heart was racing but he knew what he had to do. Elena had made that much clear. Taking in a deep breath he shook his head a bit, cursing under his breath, and took off running towards the people he saw up ahead.
"Do what you have to do, I'll help you hold them off!"
He yelled at the two as he got close, seeing a man in an interesting outfit and a blond woman. He looked nearby to see another girl, a bit younger, who seemed to be fighting off a lot of the creatures on her own. The wind from the storm was insane; it was all he could do not to fall over from the force of the wind itself. He wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but he knew that at least the hollows were bad news. As the man ran off to do his own thing he watched the blond woman start moving towards the pillar. Cursing under his breath again he followed after her.
"Hey -- what's going on? What are we trying to do?"
He saw the blond woman freeze in place as he talked to her telepathically. She looked back at him for a moment and the waved him over to catch up with her.
"Just keep them off me, dude. We have to get to that f---ing pillar before this whole place gets torn apart. Think you can manage that?"
Jameson smirked, looking over to see a massive hollow coming their way.
"Of course I can."
With that he took in a deep breath and focused, using his newly found kinetic speed to run over to the hollow. As he got closer he jumped, hovering in the air as the wind whipped around him. Focusing on the hollow he waited for it to get closer before he brought his hands back, blue flames lighting up in each one, and then one by one he tossed the flames forward as hard as he could. The flames hit the hollow's mask, one by one, shattering it completely. The hollow let out a shriek before it crumbled. Smirking, he lowered himself to the ground and looked back to the woman, seeing her trying to fight off two hollows.
As quickly as he could he made his way over to her, standing back to back with her as he using kinetic energy to push one of the hollows back. Before it could come and strike him he threw up a shield of spiritual energy before him.
"Go! We'll hold them off, just get to that stone!"
He yelled to her, turning back to look at the hollow as he lowered the shield and then instantly threw a ball of fire at it, causing it to stagger back a bit.
As soon as Aizawa and Camille got to the pillar she could do nothing but chuckle and swear under her breath. She'd seen some messed up stuff in her time, but this? This was different. This was from a whole other world. Literally, it seemed. As soon as Aizawa started talking she just nodded, looking out across the area. She saw the little girl from before nearby, fighting on her own. Interesting. From what he was telling her it seemed like they needed to get to the pillar to deactivate it or something. She didn't exactly get what he was saying because before he could finish a hollow started coming straight at him, and he ran off to take care of it. Annoyed, she shook her head and started running towards the pillar through all the wind; if he wasn't going to do it, then she'd just have to do it herself.
She didn't get too far before a voice suddenly spoke to her from nowhere. She was used to the concept of telepathy but it had been a very, very long time since someone had used it on her. She paused, looking around for a moment before she saw a guy, about the same age as her it seemed, running up behind her. She looked him over, confused for a moment, before deciding to just go with it. Waving for him to follow her she started running towards the pillar again, speaking back to him telepathically. He seemed pretty sure of himself, which made her smirk. If he was useful then she didn't really care who the hell he was.
He was close to getting to the pillar when two hollows ran up on her. She cursed as they approached her, but she knelt down and slammed her fist on the ground, sending up two powerful shockwaves at both of the hollows, knocking them back and away from her. When she stood up she noticed the other dude coming back over to her. She looked back at the hollow just in time to throw up another barrier, listening to him as he spoke. He told her to go for the pillar and she just smirked, using her telekinesis to grab a street sign nearby and rip it from the ground, slamming the hollow in the mask with it.
"Don't gotta tell me twice, dude."
As soon as the hollow was gone she started running again. Hollows started popping up again but she took in a deep breath and concentrated, phasing from place to place to avoid their attacks. Within a minute she was at the pillar, and she looked around to see if Aizawa, the little girl, or the other dude were nearby.
"Hey, dude, I'm at the pillar, tell me what to do."
Much to her surprise Aizawa started speaking back to her, and she used his knowledge to do what she had to in order to stop the pillar. As soon as she did it everything started to subside; it seemed that whatever he'd done -- they'd all done -- had worked, and things started to return to normal. Panting, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a cigarette, reaching for her lighter. She cursed under her breath when she remembered it was gone. She heard a snap and her cigarette lit suddenly; looking over she saw the dude from before walking up, his hand in the air. She smirked, and nodded to him as thanks for the light.

As Aizawa took down the last few remaining bird like hollows swarming around the pillar that hadn't escaped before the barrier went up to protect it, Zera went and tended to the few injured humans that hadn't been able to get away when the pillar had first activated. The winds had died down, but the street was a mass of papers strewn about randomly and tables and chairs thrown through windows and walls. Taking a deep breath, Zera held her hands out in front of her. She did a series of hand gestures before shouting "Sarciaga!" As she shouted, a number of white streams of magic flowed from her, runes that swarmed together in the shape of ribbons. The ribbons flowed around chairs and shards of glass, gathering them up before putting back where they had come from and restoring them. It took a little while, but before too long the streets were looking fine and clear, although devoid of people. Curious about the newcomer, she approached him first. "Hey there! The name's Zera! I like your hat." As she spoke, she held out a hand to Jameson in greeting and with the other hand tipped the hat on her head to him, her white witch's hat with a purple ribbon being akin to his black one. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
The woman took off not long after he'd told her to go, leaving him alone with the hollows that he'd been battling beforehand. It wasn't a particularly easy fight but it went along well enough. The hollow that he had left to take care of kept coming at him, with which he simply ran and ran from place to place, trying to think of a moment that he could attack. He was growing a bit tired and his abilities were taking a bit too much of his spiritual energy to use. For quite some time he kept running about; eventually getting stuck in an alley between two tall buildings. Panting, his chest tight and mind a bit foggy from all the use of his abilities, he frantically looked around trying to find some sort of escape. For a moment he thought about trying to levitate up, but the walls of the buildings were too tall, and the fence blocking his exit was too high up.
Looking down towards the other end of the alley he saw the Hollow round the corner, crashing into the side of the building as it shrieked at him, starting to claw it's way down the alley. He started to pant, his heart racing faster and faster as the Hollow started to draw closer. He had no way out; no means of escape. Just as he closed his eyes he suddenly heard, loud and clear in his mind: Transmutation. Suddenly he opened his eyes and let out a deep breath, and then...
He was elsewhere. On top of a roof, to be exact. For a moment he just stood there on the slanted roof, but as he looked around he lost his footing a bit, not entirely aware at first he was on a slanted roof. He stumbled a bit, arms flailing as he tried to catch his balance, but failing as he slipped down the roof a bit, falling onto his side. He caught himself, though, stopping a few feet from the edge of the roof as he saw the Hollow start to climb up over the far ledge.
Looking around he saw a lightning rod nearby on the rooftop. It was too far away to get to and he didn't feel comfortably trying to get up the roof himself, so he took in a deep breath to focus, reaching his hand out towards the rod. Closing his eyes, he tried to focus, seeing the spiritual energy of both the rod and the Hollow, the Hollow drawing slowly closer to him. As he reached for the rod he began to focus harder and harder, clenching his outstretched hand into a fist and pulling, letting out a yell as he pulled as hard as he could. Finally the lightning rod snapped off the roof, flying through the air towards the Hollow. The sharp end struck it dead in the center of it's mask, shattering it. Opening his eyes, he looked over to see the Hollow collapsing backwards, falling from the roof. He began to smile lightly, panting from the expulsion of energy.
A moment later the sky started to clear up, and the weather began to clear as well. He looked around a few moments before sliding down towards the edge of the roof, standing up and hopping off, floating gradually down towards the ground below. He casually walked out of the alleyway, seeing some debris and garbage flying around through the air around him. A bit confused, he watched it for a moment, before he heard a voice call to him.
Jameson had no idea who the girl was. She looked incredibly young, but what stuck out to him immediately was her hat. As she approached he smiled a bit nervously, then reached up and touched his own hat lightly before rubbing at the back of his neck.
"Oh, uh... thanks. I'm Jameson. Are you a witch, too?"
He smiled, looking over to see if the blond girl from before and her friend were nearby. When he saw them both he waved to them a bit awkwardly. He bit at his bottom lip a bit nervously before turning back to the girl.

xxx Aizawa continued firing a volley of arrows, zoning out as the practice was second nature to him. His aiming capabilities made it look like he wasn't even trying. He'd lock onto a target and before his arrow even struck his mark have the next in his sights. He didn't even need to use Scatter Shot for this lot. Each shot took less than the blink of an eye to hit it's mark and though the swarm was bolstered in number, they lacked the agility or might to face Aizawa head on like this. He zoned out for what seemed like forever, his mind drifting back to the days he spent with Shinra as they so very often did. It nearly felt like he was continuously living two realities. Split between his focus on his past life with Shinra and his future life as a defender of Earth. He had to let the former strengthen his resolve in the latter and not let his dwelling on the past pull him down in a spiral of loathing and -- He cut his thoughts off as he realized his firing hand was cramping from being so taught. He had a bad habit of overextending himself when he lost control emotionally. He controlled his breaths as a voice spoke to him on the winds. "Ah! Yes." he began very tactfully as Camille waited instructions on how to activate the Section 9 defense mechanism. He gave her the instructions and then waited to see if there was any response. He had to keep himself in the here and now and focus on the job before him. Once this gate opened . . .
Now with a much more oriented perspective, he continued firing on the Hollow beasts swarming the area, getting himself into a rhythm. It wasn't long, however, before he noticed that the storm clouds were receding and the number of Hollows dwindling. He rained down the arrows at a faster rate until every last Hollow he could spot was dealt with. He shook himself out of his stupor and reoriented himself before heading back down to see how everyone was doing. As he screen stepped his way down from the heights above, he spotted Zera and a newcomer chatting off to the side. He approached Camille with a grateful smile on his face. The smile wasn't deep and his inward struggle of longing waited just beneath the surface. "Thank you." he began humbly. He didn't know how to respond. As usual, his social capabilities were rather lacking. "That went . . . far more smoothly than it did this last time. Those Section 9 lackeys were barely able to capture the pillar the first time. It took all we had." He could speak tough, but he was a far weaker man in those days, himself. He had taken out a number of Hollow, but wasn't able to capture the pillar, in the end. "I believe I never got your name. Pardon if I'm overstepping here. Again, the name's Aizawa." he spoke with a slight bow. Again. He gave her an apologetic look that momentarily before shaking himself back to reality. "Back in the alley, I picked this up." he offered her a knife that he had picked up in the alley. "I'm assuming this is yours?" It was a rather nice looking knife and he didn't figure the street toughs would be using something like that to mug people. It was at that moment that his stomach growled lightly. It was often that he forgot to eat, so focused on everything else on his plate. "Would you want to grab something to eat? There's a lot to talk about . . . Also, lunch is on me." he offered. He waved over Zera and the guy she was talking to, signalling for them to head over. He sensed a fair amount of spiritual pressure from him as well, with a very similar nen coloring to Camille's as well.

Shortly after turning off the pillar, or whatever it was that the dude had instructed her to do, everything got considerably calmer. For a few moments she merely stood there, near the pillar, before looking around to see if she could find the dude from before. She rubbed her neck a bit awkwardly, hand on her hip, as she started to walk down the street away from the pillar and towards where she assumed everyone had ben before everything happened.
A few moments later she heard his voice again, to which she turned and saw him coming up to her. Where the hell he'd been or come from was beyond her, but she let it go. When he approached and thanked her she merely shrugged, smirking a little. She tried to be modest but at the same time, that was super cool, and she'd done her part in it. Clearly she had some power, but this was far beyond anything she'd ever imagined doing. And it felt so natural to her. Although the fact she was starting to feel a little connected to this man now was beginning to grate on her nerves a bit. Not in a way that told her she didn't like him, but rather the opposite. She didn't like to get connected people; she knew what always happened. They always left; one of them. She didn't want this to be another one of those times.
Shortly after thanking her and then mentioning the Section 9 fools she knew all too well -- which she just snorted at and shook her head lightly -- he then asked her name, and told her his. Before she could say anything though he mentioned picking something of hers up in the alley, back from before. Curious, she straightened up a bit, watching as he pulled her knife from his pocket. She looked up at him a moment then reached out to take the knife from him. For a few moments she just looked down at it, running her thumb over the engraving on the handle before she pocketed it, nodding lightly to him.
"Thanks for this, dude. Means a lot to me, really. I'm Camille, by the way, but most a' the bums back at the bars just call me Misery. My last name."
She looked over to see the young girl and the guy from earlier standing not far from them down the street. He looked over towards her and she smiled towards him, waving lightly. He nodded and waved back to her, a bit too enthusiastically, and she just shook her head and turned back to Aizawa. When he mentioned getting food she just laughed a bit, patting her stomach.
"Man, I can always go for food. Nice call."
She watched as the guy and the little girl came over their way. The girl seemed to have a lot of energy and seemed to know Aizawa fairly well. The other guy, she got the feeling, was a rando, just like she was. Weirdly, though, she felt a sort of connection to him. He was different, but in a good way. Hell, in a way, she supposed they were all different.
"So, we introduced ourselves already. Who are you two? Camille Misery here, in case you were wondering."
