Agito couldn't help but jump a bit when his eyes locked with Rin's gaze. It wasn't the fact that she was blind that was so startling , but at how it still seemed like she saw him even when she wasn't really looking. For some reason her gaze was more disarming than most.. Akagi huh..that sure explains a lot. the Akagi are a family said to breed some of the best swordsmen in the world, which would sure explain the clothes. But after seeing her eyes Agito would have already been able to guess without her having to tell him..after all, how many other blind vice captains were there, and she's an Akagi..the girl is basically famous. "The pleasure is mine! Sorry for not recognizing you sooner, Vice Captain Akagi." Agito replied as he quickly returned a bow as best he could, his posture nowhere near as good as Rin's. "I'm Agito Mibu" he stated, almost forgetting to give his own name due to him fan-boying over Rin. "I was just recently promoted to Vice Captain, please forgive me. Until recently I would have never imagined I'd be bumping elbows with officers of your caliber so soon." Agito was not one for praising others but he did give credit where it was due and it was definitely due here. If Agito ever hoped to master the art of the sword, what better ally to have than a member of a prominent sword family. Even if she didn't train him directly just the little tidbits of information he could potentially pick up from her would carry tons of weight and might prove to be a deciding factor in battles yet to come.
Such long blue hair..if you're not careful you might get lost in it.. Agito thought as a warning to himself. He loved women but also knew that love could turn into something very dangerous for him, something that could be his downfall. "So what brings you here? You looking to learn anything specific? "
XXXRin shifted her stance as she waited for a reply. She certainly couldn't tell what he was doing. All she "saw" was a mote of light. A powerful spiritual sense that allowed her to perceive the energy that pulsed within every fiber of his being. She blinked infrequently as, he would notice, as she stood straight from her elegant bow. Slender hands flattened the creases that had formed in the interim. She started in place when his voice broke the brief silence. "The pleasure is mine!' he began.
He recognized her, she noted, as he continued. Was it because of her name? The Akagi family was well known for their swordsmanship and though she was only beginning to grasp the arts for herself, Akagi was learning fairly quickly. Or perhaps because she was blind? There were not many shinigami that did not have the ability to see, after all. After he finished his apology, she heard the flutter of cloth as he bent over, unaware he was returning the bow. Agito Mibu? Her caliber? The pads of her slender fingers pressed gently against her soft, rosy lips. There was a soft chuckle that was only barely masked by the hand. "Agito Mibu? I believe I recognize you as well." She chuckled mirthfully.
"I would think you should be. We are of similar rank and prestige, if I may be so bold." There was a brief pause as she shifted weight, brushing strands of hair that had fallen and began tickling her nose back behind her ear. "But thank you. I appreciate the praise." The gentle smile now warmly directed at him. "As far as why I am here, I was planning to brush up on some basic techniques."
"Hey Hey~ If it isn't a meeting of the Vice Captains! Akagi-chan, Mibu-kun! Here to brush up on the basics, spar, learn some of the more advanced techniques?" Kazuki hanging his favorite red jacket on his fingers, over his shoulder, while walking up on the pair of fellow Shinigami. He gives a polite bow to each of them as he approaches. "I am here to learn Shunko myself... you know.. anything to help in a fight." The loud, boisterous Vice Captain did keep his distance from the two of them, something respectable to stay out of their personal space. He was rough around the edges, but still respectable to those of his rank and above. A flick of his wrist and he tosses his red hat and sleeveless jacket onto a nearby bench. His long, blonde hair a bit of a mess at the top from the sudden flick of it. "So.. anyone up to train with me? Perhaps, we can help each other out? You know... showing some cross division cooperation." Kazuki grins as his eyes between the new First Division vice captain and Seventh Division's vice captain. "Aside watching the vice captains could fire up the grunts.. get their blood flowing to really buckle down."
Agito was a bit stunned when Rin said that she recognized him, but when she stated that they were of similar rank and prestige it really hit him..whether Agito felt deserving of it or not, he was a vice captain..and it was time to own it. I needed to hear that.. Agito thought.. How could I ever hope to move up if I can't even accept where I'm at now? Agito's question to himself was hypothetical, he already knew the answer..it couldn't be done. He would have to drop that attitude from this moment on and never look back or else risk losing most of his battles before they even begin. Agito was just a person who had very high standards for himself and was also his own worst critic, which can be a dangerous combination if he's carrying the wrong mind set or principles.
Rin stated that she was planning on brushing up on the basics, which sounded like a pretty good idea to Agito. Agito couldn't help but return a smile towards Rin even though she could not see it, there was just something about a smile like that which made you smile back. "Sure-" Agito just managed to squeeze the response to Rin out before being surprised by another strong spiritual pressure, and this one felt like it had an obvious edge over his own. That red jacket.. it was the 11th division vice captain, Kazuki Muramasa. Agito didn't know much about him..besides the fact that he was pretty damn good in a fight. Agito watched as Kazuki's jacket and hat gently landed on a nearby bench and couldn't help but smirk. He's got skill.."
"Vice Captain Muramasa.." Agito smirked as he now looked into the vice captain's rather piercing eyes. "I think we can help each other out..after all, we are somewhat on the same side." Agito said the last part jokingly, poking fun at the Shinigami tendency to stick to one's own division rather than mingle with the others. Kazuki was right, a public show of camaraderie between the vice captains would be good for morale, and might actually help bring the divisions closer.
XXX With the intent of training, Yuisis arrived at the Academy. Of course her family estate had its own training dummies causing her to more often than not stay within her home for such purposes. She even had family members that she could train with or spar with. Today she wanted to step out of her comfort zone, maybe even train with someone else. A stagnant routine could lead to ones downfall. As she moved about inside the building, light grey eyes locked onto two of her childhood friends quickly. It was surprising to see them, but it made her happy. She had just caught sigh of Muramasa tossing off his cap and sleeveless jacket on a bench. The fine lines of her face scrunched when she saw how messy his hair was because of the sudden removal of the hat. "You're hopeless Muramasa-kun." Her voice was gentle and soft as she smoothed out his hair in a delicate fashion. A soft smile formed across her lips before she spoke once more. "Good day Akagi-San and you too Vice Captain Mibu." Although she was familiar with Rin and Kazuki, she did not know Vice Captain Mibu. Mind you she knew who he was, but she did not know him well. "Training together? It could be fruitful, and a nice example to the students. You wouldn't mind a fourth partner, would you?"
XXXRin was stepping forward to lessen the gap between her and Agito, slender fingers hanging in the air just inches from his hand as two other bodies entered the dojo. Her hand hung there for a few seconds during the proceedings before slowly sliding back down to her side. Well, it did not seem that they had to go anywhere else.
Agito's reply died in his throat as Kazuki entered, flinging a billowing article of clothing through the air to land on a nearby bench. Where did that come from? Rin mused to herself. She heard the leathery coat flump against the bench instead of slapping against the hardwood floor and couldn't recall any furniture being there before. Perhaps she had by some grace missed it. Clearly she had not trained here in some time. The attendants were moving furniture around on a blind person.
Kazuki was here to learn Shunko, not something Rin had any desire in learning herself. But perhaps they could spar instead. It might help them all refine their techniques, especially with others to help point out any flaws in their forms. "Please teach me, I am in your debt." Rin professed, bowing slightly at the waist to the two of them. The action tussled her hair again, causing her to right it once more. The mussing of her hair caused the scent of rain to wash out all over again as well, the sweet smell is especially potent to the one standing nearest to her.
Rin was more accustomed to being a lower rank and still considered the two in front of her and the third entering to be of much higher standing than her, despite her family's reputation and standing shoulder-to-shoulder to them. So when Sanada Yuisis referred to her with "san" as the honorific of choice instead of kohai, needless to say, she was surprised. Especially considering the latter's strength in comparison to Rin's. "Sanda-Sama, it is a pleasure to see you as always. How are you today?" The tone was polite and professional, but Yuisis should have been used to this already.
Yuisis and Rin had been friends since childhood, both of noble families and of similar age. Rin had always been polite to a fault, despite the familiarity. Or perhaps because of it. The Sanada clan was of higher standing than the Akagi after-all. Kazuki was also an old friend of the former two, however, it always appeared as if he had little care for the social expectations. Where Rin was expected to act highly in her position, and perhaps Yuisis as well, Kazuki didn't seem to have a care in the world.
Meanwhile, there was Agito. He was a dark horse. Rin knew very little of him but it appears that he had climbed rank quickly and was of notable talent. Faster than Rin herself at least. No doubt he would be important in short notice. Rin was still unsure of him though. He seemed polite and friendly, cordial at the very least. "I look forward to your tutelage." Rin said with a soft smile, a radiant warmth that would chase away any rainy day. Slowly she padded over to the bench where Kazuki tossed his clothes.
Upon reaching the bench, placing a hand on the carved wood; The pads of fingers ran over the smooth finish as she steadied herself, using her hand as a measuring device to prevent herself from banging a delicate shin on the heavy oak. The icy robe that protected her bare shoulders slid from her form as she folded it and deposited on the bench in a neat pile next to Kazuki's jacket. Beneath the robe, her shoulders were bare. She wore a sable, form-fitting suit for her chest and long gloves that terminated just beneath the apex of her arms. Secured at the waist, she wore a dark-blue hakama that descended to just above her ankles. The murky length of cloth swirled around her like a dark pond as she turned and walked back to the group.
His bantering was suddenly thrown off as his blonde hair is smoothed out by one Yuisis Sanada, who greets him as -kun and Rin as -san.. "I don't know if I should feel honored or insulted, Yuisis-chan. Greeting Vice Captain Akagi with a higher honorific than me." He teased of course as he quickly wraps his arms around her smaller frame and gives her a big hug, lifting her from the ground for a moment. It was hard to believe that some kid from the street was friends with two cute girls from royal families, no matter there size, yet here they were. Akagi, Sanada, and Muramasa... all close since childhood and all currently together yet again. "Nothing like getting the old band back together again~." Kazuki was always gentler around Rin than he was Yuisis, likely to not scare her or startle the shy girl too much. In fact, now that she knew he was here he waited for her to ready herself. "Always room for another when training." Now seeing Rin out of her robe, and showing off her form fitting top, and hakama pants, the Eleventh Division Vice Captain walks over to her and and gives her gentle, warm hug as well. "Glad to see you are well, and willing to do 'cooperative training regiment'..." His clear blue eyes looking over to Agito Mibu, he was the new one for the group, but Muramasa had heard the tales of his quick raising in the ranks of the First, this man was destined to lead the Gotei 13, and he wasn't bout to disappoint but giving a lack luster show, but in wit and in training. "Heh, Right? I believe you are right, Mibu-kun. It isn't like we don't share similar goals... perhaps it is you that could help bridge that gap between our our divisions.. seems we would be more effect as a single unit, than thirteen different units with only monthly meetings to keep each other informed." He winked to the man before cracking is knuckles and moving to the center of the hardwood floor. "So? Lets pick partners... and then we will trade off after a match, til everyone has had a chance to go against everyone.. Sound good? I am excited to get a taste for each of your styles.. and it goes without saying... no Zanpaku-tou releases.. we aren't aiming to harm anyone here.. I know we each all have Shikai unlocked already."
The weight of another impressive spiritual pressure began to impose itself on Agito as Vice captain Sanada entered. When she introduced herself to Muramasa and Rin Agito began to put the pieces together. They must all know each other..which would make sense seeing as though they were all vice captains. But something seemed different about their relationship, it wasn't just a work relationship that is for sure. Had he not literally just told himself he would act the part of Vice captain Agito would have surely bowed out when Vice Captain Sanada opted in.Two royals in one place..this is turning out to be a pretty eventful day. Agito thought as he watched Vice Captain Sanada smooth out Vice Captain Muramasa's hair. He had no problem with a fourth member entering the mix, it actually made things a little more organized. Rin sure seemed to have respect for the two and Agito had no reason to doubt her judgement just yet. He noticed Rin heading over to the bench but was unsure what she was doing, but when she began to remove her robe Agiot quickly looked away. Even if she wasn't showing anything inappropriate it still caught him off guard a bit. Just as Agito searched for something else to keep his mind off of Rin's shoulders he noticed Kazuki walk over and hug Rin before speaking to him. A single unit..well, it would be easier to rule over 1 rather than thirteen..easier to obtain absolute control as well. While Agito's brain raced with possibilities behind wide eyes, Vice Captain Muramasa made his way to the center of the dojo. Kazuki's aura itself was impressive, one that could made you want to follow him. When Muramasa stated he wanted to split up into teams it was like he took the words right out of Agito's mouth. But when Kazuki mentioned knowing that everyone had achieved at least Shikai already, Agito's palms began to sweat a bit. He hadn't even learned the name of his zanpakuto yet, he had actually come here to seek advice on doing just that. His eyes were still a little dark and lifeless form his lack of sleep the night before, literally trying everything he could to try and get his damned blade to say something..anything. A crowd was already starting to form, so Agito decided to save himself the embarrassment and just keep quiet about not having his shikai yet. After all, they weren't releasing this time anyway. Also by not saying anything now Agito was basically telling himself that he would work as hard as possible so that he would make sure to have shikai next time so these shinigami wouldn't know he didn't have it at this moment. "Sounds good.." Agito replied as he placed both hands on his hips and began to crack his neck. This would be interesting, a chance to pick a teammate to go into battle with..even if its just a little spar.
Agito tightened the emblem on his left arm, a chrysanthemum painted boldly onto it. He wore the basic black Shihakusho but customized with short sleeves, shoulder pads and a hood for a little edgy-ness; nothing he needed to remove, he was ready. "Alright..Vice Captain Akagi is with me." Agito stated. He had chosen Rin as his partner and would have done so regardless of the options. There was just something about her that made him curious. Agito would be a fool to not realize they were out matched in raw power, after all Agito was the weakest of the bunch as far as experience and training and, while Rin was very skilled, there was no way she could take them both out at the same time..so Agito would have to pull his own weight. but raw power wasn't always the deciding factor. It was no doubt that Vice Captain Muramasa and Vice Captain Sanada were skilled, it was time to get a taste of just how skilled. "If I may be so bold, Vice Captain Muramasa" Agito taking a page out of Rin's book, from their conversation just moments ago.."I've been itching to see what you're made of since you walked through that door." Agito couldn't help but smirk as he issued the challenge. He used Rin's "if I may be so bold" purposely, as a promise to himself to never count himself out, even when he knew he was outmatched..just like now. Good news is, Rin was a close of theirs, from the looks of things anyway. Maybe she knew some tendencies or weaknesses that she would share with him. Agito doubted that she would go that far in a mere spar..especially seeing as they were her friends..but anything was possible.
With as much rambling he could hear outside the Academy walls, Dotsu overheard quite a few familiar voices going off inside. Enough to pique his curiosity as to what could be happening. Taking a short step foot, he stayed at a distance among other division soldiers and vice-captains who were not only present but possibly training with one another. Agito Mibu, Kazuki Muramasa, Akagi Rin, and even Sanada Yuisis. He decided to remain silent and just watch from afar seeing what is transpiring from them.
XXX Upon arrival to her group of childhood friends, Yuisis was first greeted by Rin. "I'm doing well, thank you. How are you?" Not long after she would be teased by Kazuki about her use of honorifics. Grey eyes would slide over to give him glance. It was because he acted like a child often. About the time she was about to open her mouth she was hugged by him. The hug did not bother her in the slightest. However once she was picked up her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Being lifted off of the ground was not something she enjoyed at all. "Muramasa!" she cried in protest. Once safely back on the ground she would give him a slight glare. Although he was already off to go give Rin a hug as well.
Once the formalities were out of the way, talks about the training regiment were on. At first it was decided that they would all eventually fight one another. It was a perfect way to test each other. However at some point it had turned into a team battle. Which was not a bad idea. It was something that required strategy and team work. Agito was quick to snatch up Rin on his team leaving her with Kazuki. It wasn't something she would not complain about. Being close friends with him meant that she knew how to work with him. Teamwork should not be a problem in this situation. It was then that Agito would issue a personal challenge to Kazuki. It was probably because he was loud. Perhaps letting them take whatever issues they had on one another was not a bad idea. Grey eyes would shift over to Rin. "I can agree to this."
XXXRin was picked up and embraced before she could protest, swept up into Kazuki's strong arms. Taut muscles would tense briefly, the fibers around her spine flexing visibly; Shadows caste in the deep ravines of her powerful, lithe form. This only lasted a second at most before she realized who it was that had wrapped their arms around her. But it bespoke volumes on despite how vulnerable she might appear, the girl was a warrior born and bred.
Kazuki and Agito began plotting on how the group might train. A sparring match was proposed and Agito agreed, putting his own spin on it. It would be a two versus two. Though that had not been the original intention, Rin silently agreed that would probably be the best plan of action. Most combat was not one on one duels and often harbored the dangers of distractions as well as multiple threats. Besides, how often did someone get the opportunity to practice with multiple partners? Shortly following, Agito claimed Rin herself as his tag team partner. "It would be my pleasure Vice-captain Agito." Rin smiled softly at him, the gentle expression warm. "Please take care of me."
While the group was talking, a fifth member of note joined the throng. The person, whoever they were, caught Rin's attention; Their reishi was of a higher quality than the smaller members gathering nearby to watch the vice-captains spar. Rin turned her icy gaze, blank and vacuous, in the direction of the newest addition. Her eyes stared out beyond the audience with her attention on Dotsu's spiritual energy. A slight nod of the head was enough to acknowledge the fellow vice-captain, bowing at the waist just enough to pay due respect to someone who had obviously earned their station before her attention was brought back to the group by Yuisis.
Rin could feel the cherry blossom's stormy gaze aligning in her direction, Yousis's voice ringing in just the right way to denote that she was speaking towards her. "I can agree to this." The fellow she-warrior said, Rin wondering if that was a ring of confidence in the soft voice to her left. "I am ready when you are." She breathed, bowing to her opponents before taking a ready stance. She let out a slow exhale, the air becoming heavy around her; It was like the wind dying just before a heavy storm. Again, she flexed. Thin, but powerful muscles, tightening beneath the skin-tight cloth of her sable top. Her stance was lead by one hand out in front, to gauge the distance from her to her opponent, and one guarding her abdominals. The stance was low, to ground her and to give her blows more power, knees bent. Those glazed eyes staring towards Yuisis and Kazuki as if gazing beyond them.

"I died when I was a child. I hope that my parent's hearts were able to heal."
Daichi messed with his armband as he walked towards the Shin Academy, still surprised that he had gotten the position. He didn't think that when he was brought to this world that he would be able to become like the person that had rescued him. The man still had a lot to learn and thought that maybe it was a good time to return to the academy to freshen up on his knowledge of things. He made way through the entrance and waved to the students that he passed with a smile, happy to see the students here were in high spirits. As he walked through the halls, Daichi took noticed of something interesting, that there was group of Vice Captains that were already here. He was surprised, but it was good to see that wasn't the only one to come up with the idea, at least that is what he thought. The man also saw this as chance to introduce himself to the others as it could get awkward to work together without knowing each others name. So, with a deep breath, he want to where the others had gathered to introduce himself to the group. "It seems a lot of us might have come up with similar ideas, huh? Hello everyone. My name is Daichi Takahashi, of squad five. I hope we can work together." Daichi said with a bow, greeting the people he hope could become friends with, and work together to get stronger.
Letting out a booming laugh, Kazuki smirked as his cool blue eyes locked onto the third division Vice Captain, "It is all good, Sanada-chan. See Akagi-chan did not raise a fuss... Though I should of said something first. I think I felt every muscle in her upper body tense defensively. Luckily, she knows me so well.. or else I may have been cut." As he says that his eyes look to Vice Captain Mibu, who accepts the spar, but adds in a condition of his own... that it be a two on two match, and he even claimed Rin as his partner. "Oh ho... Two versus two match up, and I am with Sanada-chan? How could I refuse~? Though..." Once more his eyes divert their gaze to the two other vice captain that entered. "Hey! Kesato-kun! Takahashi! You two are a team as well... Join us for a two on two on two sp-.." He stopped the statement short and flashed a smile, "I mean.. join us for our cross-division training session." It was not the quickest or best save, but hell the more the merrier for their little fight. It was then that Agito openly challenged him, stating that he had been wanting a taste of his ability since he walked through the doors. A devilish smile crossed his face as he took his up his stance; widening it, feet now shoulder length apart, knees bent, right arm out in front and left closer in for defense. The rest of his world fades out, though still aware, his eyes are set on Agito now.. and he kicks off the ground leaving dust in his wake. "Time to grit them teeth!" Kazuki yelled out swinging a heavy right hook, and following up with a quick leg sweep from its shadow.
Attack A [Attack Speed: 60 | Attack Power: 60 ] Attack B [Attack Speed: 60 | Attack Power: 60 ]
Shunko Master [FS] +15 to Offensive Power Momentum: Spd/2 + Str for damage calculations on physical attacks only. Overwhelming Assault: Sacrifices his [Defense/Dodge] action, but gains another [Attack] option in the same post.
Agito nodded as Rin accepted his invitation. They were now a team, which made things even better. Vice captain Sanada didn't seem to have a problem with the match up either. Good. All that's left is Kazuki" Agito thought, as he waited for the Vice-captain's reply. Agito was amazed at the turnout as more and more impressive Reiatsu's entered the Academy, now the Vice Captains of the 5th and 6th Divisions were here and their own supporters. This was turning into a real event, who would've thought. Agito noticed Rin get into her stance, sinking low to the ground. It was almost how scary her demeanor switched up, you could tell she meant business. It was time for Agito to buckle down himself, the fun was about to start.
As Kazuki took to his stance, Agito began his incantation. An incantation only a fool wouldn't use when dealing with such a talent like vice-Captain Muramasa. Agito had just ran his big mouth after all, it was time to prepare for hell. "Spirit of Shielding; grant me your protection! Bougyoudo #25: Deband!" a quick phrase but in just that quick of time Kazuki had already closed the distance. Agito could only do as advised..grit his teeth. His muscle tensed as he tried his best to block the hook. The force of the blow much stronger than Agito, but due to his Kidou he was able to take the damage a little better, his defenses fortified but still not enough. Kazuki was a beast to say the least. Agito's head rocked to one side as he was hit with the hook, his hand now beginning to smoke. Agito was then hit with a bruising leg sweep that took his legs from under him. But as Agito was being hit with the secondary leg sweep he let off a wave of fire being built up since the first blow only a moment ago. Due to Agito's training as a Kidou specialist he had mastered a technique that allowed him to conjure Kidou without the use of incantations, helping him get them off in a bind. Agito unleashed the wave of fire up close and tried to contain it as much as possible, enough to get something close but not a risk of damaging any spectators or even his partner standing not too far away. Kazuki was in close due to his close ranged attack, Agito figured if he were to try his luck with this move, it would be at times like this. The Squad 11 vice captain was fast and powerful. Agito's throbbing jaw and flailing body could attest to that. The Agito's fire would not be put out so easily.

His hunch was accurate. Everyone had grouped up here to train and hone their skills amongst each other. He barely sees this happening with a rather sizeable group like this one. Kazuki brought up that everyone pitched in on the training. Dotsu chuckled as he rather thought it over while others had arrived and agreed. Well, it was interesting and rather rare Dotsu himself was intrigued.
"Perhaps it will be fun to get involved. Let's see how far we've all grown since the last time we've interacted." Leaning off, the Vice-Captain stepped forward one foot after the other. Stepping among the group, Dotsu had begun to raise his spiritual pressure. He stood firm and prepared for whatever was about to transpire. His eyes traced to everyone present in the room until the sudden dim was the keynote to the beginning of his attack. That is until he heard of something loud ring off. A lockdown had begun and all Shinigami with positions must report to their divisions. "Uh-oh. Let's hold off on the training folks, we have to move." Wondering what exactly could be going on, Dotsu didn't hesitate to report to his division. Perhaps his higher up can fill him in on what exactly is going on. It didn't feel like that of a mock alarm, not one bit. After telling everyone to disperse, he took off to find out himself exactly what was happening.
