Ming'we Post 3
During the discussions of others, since no one wanted to listen to what she'd said, Ming had made her way through the crowd. She might not be able to move everything to it's full potential but she could still move. So she approached the Alkidikes, curious as to why they were here. Ming'we wasn't the first one there, however, and so she paused a short way away to listen to what was said. She might hate Alkidikes now but she wasn't a hot head. She'd figure out what was going on first before she made a choice to become rude.

Kayin post 3
Kayin listened to the leaders speak as they seemed to be responding to what her family had been speaking of. She nodded silently, keeping her arms crossed. She actually was very interested in the scouting party, so long as she wasn't the only one going along with it, and Zuri at least seemed interested. it was harder to tell with Alek, but she was assuming yes.
"I'd be more then happy to voluntee..." she began but stopped as the leaders' attention was taken elsewhere. Mainly to a few of the race they'd be scouting for. Her shoulders tensed, but otherwise she made no real movements or sounds. Just watching to see how this would pan out. Maybe a scouting party wasn't needed afterall.

Eije Post 4
“Nice to meet you, Zumei, though I wish it was under different circumstances.” She seemed like a nice girl and she was happy that she had picked her to speak to. It was better than being alone in all of this, that was for sure. Though she was curious as to what Zumei was going to become, if she didn’t have training as a fighter. “It’s a mess… but I have to agree with you. Though fighting shouldn’t be our first option, if it comes to it, I’ll do what I can. I’m actually from Zena, but I’ve spent most of the year here... so right now, it’s my home too and I want to protect it.” She didn’t want to be a burden on Viv’s father, so she was going to make her own way, no matter what.
At Freya’s movement, Eije turned towards the one in question. An Alk Mystic? Here? Was she scouting out the territory? Her hand unconsciously slipped to her father’s swords at her hip and a small frown came to her face. “Well, we might have a fight on our hands.” They were still a far enough distance away, but it was still something to be concerned about.

Eira Post 3Eira lifted a hand to her mouth, smothering a bit of laughter when it seemed that Gyuri had been able to completely intimidate their poor guest without even trying. That was sort of his job though, wasn't it? He was in charge of keeping people in line and having him able to end a fight before it began with but a glance was more then she could have ever asked from him. Turning to look over at Chimelu the dancer woman said, "It's quite alright, he might not seem it but he really is a good man. It's just his job to guard the door so he has to look at all times intimidating. That helps to keep the rabble out or on their best behavior." She explained to her quest before motioning to him to walk with her. As they walked toward the inn she said, "So long as you remain as sweet as you have been so far I doubt there will be any issues between you and Gyuri." She reassured him. Once they had reached the inn she looked up at Gyuri and smiled, "Thank you as always for guarding the door, it really does help." Better to keep the bad elements out instead of having to throw them out later. Gyuri Post 3Oblivious to the fact that he had done any sort of intimidating of Chimelu the giant of a man gave him another smile as he and Eira approached the steps that led to the inn. He gave him a once over but didn't spot any sort of obvious weapons about him so he felt that he was likely no threat to the inn. That was good, those who decided to visit unarmed tended to make his job a whole lot easier. As Eira set about thanking him for his work he gave a nod, "Of course." It was his job after all, no reason for her to thank him he thought to himself. It was a bit hard, he'd admit, to stand guard when a part of him wanted to check on Borra again to make sure he was still alright. Hovering around the musician wasn't going to help as far as keeping everyone safe was concerned though. He had to think about the good of everyone, Borra included, which meant continueing to guard the door and keep out any threats. Normally it was only drunkards and brawlers that he ahd to worry about, but now it would seem Alkidike had been added to the list. That thought in mind he gave Chimelu a look and asked, "Heard any news about the Alkidike?" Maybe the blond knew something that they didn't? Something he'd heard on his way here. If that were the case then Gyuri wanted to know.

Aselia Post 5
Reaching up Aselia scratched behind her ear but kept her eyes firmly fixed on Talin until her vision was blocked by an even stranger earthling. The fire in her palms quickly extinguished but the disgusted look on her face only increased. "I can't understand a word that thing is saying." Aselia hissed in her native tongue her eyes gaze shifting in Neibets direction. "Get away, repulsive bottom feeding fish." Aselia snarled at Dovev. "Whatever is done here is none of your business." Her antenna twitched when Neibet offered up the information freely.
Turning to level her with a glower the Mystic found the fish was actually talking back. Sucking in a deep breath Aselia stepped forward antagonistically. "Then you're even worse than I thought. Of all people those in Sauti and attending this festival should know better. Isn't the firebird one of your Sacred Creatures? And yet you all act like it doesn't exist. When the very festival you celebrate here and now is the hatching of the suruhama's eggs!? Are you so all narcissistic..." She stopped and started laughing. "No that would mean you have intelligence, clearly you crystal crawlers and fish are all the same, stupid, creeping, oblivious animals our elders have told us about."
Smirking at some of the looks from the crowd Aselia's antenna twitched as someone seemed to leave the stage and walk towards her. Blue in color, scowling face, and her eyes even seemed trained on Aselia and Neibet. Her eyes watched the girls hand at her hip with a widening smile. Was she going to attack? Probably not. Aselia assumed as she gave another laugh. "Look Neibet! This crystal crawler thinks she has what it takes." Aselia shrugged but didn't move. "We've answered that question already and I don't like having to repeat myself time and again to your stupid little heads." She placed her hands on her hips staring at Freya without blinking.

Silver_tigress18 So some OOC info for peeps: The Firebird normally doesn't come to the festivals, sightings of it are really rare. The festival is just to honor it. No eggs this year (talked to Kana about it) though some times some eggs can be found at the festival (really protected of course) This would be common knowledge for wind members.. maybe not for other tribes though (ice would probably know) unless they lived in Suati for a while. Talin post 5 "Somehow I don't think someone who had a brain would mouth off like that in the middle of a crowd with only a few friends to back her up." He said back to Onora, not attempting to keep his voice down at all.
"Oi bug, go back to your jungles. You can't even conquer Jauhur so what makes you think you can take Sauti? You and what.. 4 others?" He looked at them and smirked. Just five?
"And why would the Suruhama show up here? This is just held in her honor.. not like she actually even joins in.. sometimes you can see one in the distance if you're lucky." He laughed; people actually thought the get firebird joined in? Pfft! Gullible idiots! Why would any large bird legend or divine beast or what ever it was, join in an earthling festival? Not like it's a our goddess....
"And why aren't you at your own Goddess's festival? Aren't you the narcissist here? A Mystic.. missing her great Mothers party to come visit an earthling legend." He laughed. "Go home bug. You won't be seeing any firebirds here."

alek post fourHe was hardly given time to have much of a reaction to the scouting party suggestion being taken into consideration before there was a commotion of some sort that drew Freya away. The Alkidike he'd spotted earlier were acting up, spewing vitriol and hate. He had hoped they would hear the leaders out, maybe even tell their side of the story, but from what he could see they were simply fanatics. One of them even had what looked like magic. A... Mystic? It was the first he had heard of the term. Alek admittedly didn't know much about their people, but he had thought them all warriors until now. "Be careful," he warned under his breath. He was quite all right with not drawing attention.

Sezarra Post 4 "What does their body language say? I didn't know they could create fire." If the battle did come, and she was thinking it would, kind of hoping it wouldn't, it would be her first chance to get her critters used to melee, not that they would probably need help but a mother did worry about her familiar children, or at least Seze did. She wondered if Bar and Valdor were safe wherever they were probably in Jauhar or Tale and she was here, this was supposed to be an exciting trip and it looked like it was getting to be even more so. Did the alks want a fight? She stifled a growl and picked up a hefty stick for a weapon, now she didn't feel so naked. When in doubt club first ask questions later. "I'm not going into this helpless, are mystics leaders? What if this one was removed from the picture, would we still have a war?"

Thorn post 4 "Oh crap, are they here already? What do we do?" Thorn got good reception from his height and he clearly heard the inquiry to the fire alk. What would the answer be. "Ime," he said, holding her close in case he needed to sheild her with his body, "Lets move to the edge, I can protect you better outside of this crush of bodies." He was worried and her safety was his priority, if something happened to her he would just freak. And he really didn't want to know what would happen if he did. He was in fight or flight mode with adrenaline pumping. He was still young, still unexperienced and this was quickly getting very real very fast. His eyes skimmed as only a thief's can, scanning weapons, body builds, tension anything that could indicate an attack or assassination attempt. He scowled upping his don't mess with me meter by quite a few points as he towed Ime to a place where they could run or fight.

Zuri - Post FiveShe was about to volunteer to go on the scouting party when it seemed something else pulled Freya's attention. She frowned and took a step to place her between the Alkidikes and her siblings. She had never met any in this party, but she had fought their kind before. Even though there weren't a lot of them she knew they wouldn't go down without a fight if it came to it.
"Just stay calm, maybe they will clear things up and this will all go away." it didn't seem like it, but she had a little hope left.

suhuba Ruelash is about to do his thing. Dovev is being in the way Silver_tigress18 May Ruelash attempt to attack in his next post? Ruelash (Post 4) Wait, was that the big shot leader lady Freya?! Ruelash vaguely remembered her, just enough to know that much, and that was about as far as he cared. That, and the fact that she looked like she was about to whip the Alkidike into submission. He heard the quiet screams of weapons being drawn, could see the glitter of blades. ”They look real aggressive-like to me.” he said to Sezarra, grinning gleefully, ”I think they be attacking, don't ye?” he didn't actually think so, but that didn't matter much. He moved quickly towards the front of the crowd, trying to get a clear view – and a clear pounce. He was, at least, close enough to hear Aselia's taunt. ”Hey, hey! I think she just called all of us stupid!” he called out, laughing. He knew he wasn't the brightest Zenan to ever be born beneath Bergchi's gaze, but what about her, standing in a crowd like this? He couldn't wait to see her get turned into a red smudge on the stones, and he sort of hoped he would get a few stabs in... if he could just get through the crowd.Dovev (Post 3) This was a problem. Dovev discretely loosened his sword in it's sheath, ready for a fast draw if he needed to. For now, the crowd was of a bigger concern – the Alkidike seemed to be fine with simply insulting.
Speaking of, 'repulsive, bottom feeding fish'? That was a fairly interesting one. Creative and, in an ironic way, apt. The rest, the 'stupid, creeping, oblivious animal' nonsense, not so much. That was really just filth that she was clearly passing on from another source. Unoriginal. Dull. Not well thought out or well-crafted as insults went. And, thus, of no importance to Dovev.
”This one is a mercenary, yes.” which he had heard described as bottom-feeders and scum. Hence the irony. ”Mmm. As for Suhurama eggs... this is the first that this one is hearing of them.” he said calmly, as if she hadn't just insulted him, as if there wasn't a growing storm around them, ”This one has actually been around the festival. If they had such eggs, this one assumes they would not only be distinctive but in a place where they can be observed as they await their hatching and, of course, as they hatch.” He watched Freya approach out of the corner of his eye, still politely looking at Aselia and her companion, ”Might it be that you are mistaken, and they are not indeed here?”
Truth was, Dovev only knew of the Suhurama vaguely, and it was not a sacred bird in his culture. Earthlings, after all, were not all the same. But Dovev also did not feel like explaining such things. He was after other things – favors, goods, interesting information. Things he could do business with.
”This one wonders...” he said casually, a careful edge to his voice, ”If you have others of your kind nearby, an honor guard perhaps?” Two alkidike against a crowd were not good odds. Three, of course, was not much better. Dovev was inclined to take risks with an eye towards greater rewards, and he thought that this had the potential to be one of those situations that he might be willing to take the risk...

Dezani Post 5Surprised by the commotion, Dezani forced himself to look away for a moment to see just what was going on. It seemed that there was indeed an Alkidike here, and from what the crowd murmured it was a mystic no less. Why would the mystic be here though? Unless they were already planning their attack. His brow furrowing, he glanced back at the Ice woman before her and felt his face heat up at her look. "Is that you, Araie?" the young man muttered, hesitantly stepping closer to her before stopping completely. If it was she looked incredible. The time apart had been very kind to her. Zumei Post 4"A fight already. Hopefully things won't resort to that so soon," Zumei said, turning towards Eije and looking at the sword at her side. Did she plan on attacking the mystic? While the Alkidike did make her uncomfortable, she didn't think attacking them would solve the problem involving them. Maybe they could talk to them and figure out just what to do to appease them. She was talking about Suruhama, but didn't she know that the fire bird didn't show up to the festivals? It was in her celebration of course, but she didn't come to them. "What do you think we should do?"

Eije Post 5
“I sincerely hope so,” she loosened her grip slightly, realizing her tight grip. It was a bad habit of hers to go for her swords with no thought. Namidu gave a soft chirp to his master and Zumei, unsettled by the growing tension in the crowd. For now, it didn’t look like the mystic was doing anything but throwing insults. That was really becoming of her, but she was the one who crashed the festival… and why would she be looking for Suruhama?
“For now, we should watch… worse case let Vescillea, Freya and the more experienced fighters handle things,” as rash as she was, she knew she had no battle experience to speak of and she couldn’t just dive into the fray.

SwordOfTheDarkOnes Sorry if we're slightly out of order. Ruelash caught her attention ; u ; Jawaad Post 4 As the leaders decended from the stage, Jawaad’s attention shifted, curiosity overtaking her, “What is an alkidike mystic doing here?” Jawaad turned from her companions, frowning. Didn’t they always stay on the islands with their goddess tree while the rest stayed in the forest? She wasn’t well versed in the way of the Amazonian women, but she had heard enough to know that she was out of place.
Through the crowd she could just make out the appearance of the mystic. It was her first time actually seeing an alkidike, well that she knew of. She didn’t realize that she was standing right beside a hybrid. Her frown only deepened when she heard her brother’s voice. “Oh no, Ruelash…” this couldn't be good, especially if she knew anything about his temper. She knew full well that he could handle himself and he didn’t need his big sister chasing after him, but there was a real moment of concern that he might try to start something. Let's not have a war break out already, please.

Neibet Post 5
Neibet snarled, a growl building low in her throat. "This has been a waste of time then." She hissed, feeling the a flare of shame and pain from words spat at them. They should be at home, enjoying the festival in honor of their mother. Instead they were a world away trying to track down a creature that didn't even have the grace to show up at its own festival. She fingered the hilts of her blades, shoulders tensing as more and more earthlings turned towards them.
They were all mad, like Radaku that foamed at the mouth. They needed to be put down lest they infect others with their disease. Dovev pulled her attention again with his inquiries about an honor guard. "Why do you want to know, lake swimmer? Our Sisters are honorable." And if they were smart enough, they wouldn't be caught in the press of earthling bodies where any of these crystal crawlers would stab them in the back like the honorless curs they were.
