"...One never stumbles when they walk the righteous path..."

"I call upon your power! Okuninushi, raise hell!" Kyuzo shouted, pressing down hard on his cellphone button and summoning the epic demon of Japan. In a flash the demons fell into pieces, innards decorating the long stretch of road that passed Daidara's former shop. His spirit was renewed, but these demons were coming just as fast. It wasn't enough...but he would make it happen! The world was going to come back, under his hand! As if to test his resolve, suddenly a strange noise came from behind him...like language, but alien to this world. Alien even by the standards of demons.

Kyuzo slowly turned around, eyes glancing the creature over his shoulder. It was like an enormous...upside down party hat. And nothing ice-creamish, ever. "Get AWAY FROM THERE!" Kyuzo shouted as one of the JPs agents ran close. Suddenly the large pink obtrusion on top began to expand, and the temperature rapidly increased...and then it exploded, just as Kyuzo ducked behind a car, incinerating the JPs agents in a flash, including the man he'd spoken with mere moments ago. "Okuninushi! Get 'em!" Kyuzo stood as his demon dashed forward, slashing the creature; but it's blade was stopped instantly, the creature's resistance too strong to be broken. Slowly it began to expand again, and Kyuzo knew that whatever this 'Dubhe' was, it was far more powerful than he'd imagined. Was this the cause of the catastrophe...?

"Hatsuuuuuuu Harima Vehicular Haymakeeerrr!" a voice suddenly pierced the air badassfully, the roar of an engine and the squeal of tires accompanying the intrusion as a truck, large and out of control, flashed like a bolt of thunder from Mjolnir itself across the street...radio blaring Dire Straits 'Sultans of Swing'...and eyes focused on the expanding ball of death bearing down upon the dual-sword-wielding summoner. And astride the truck, wielding a guitar spewing flames from the tip as he rocked out to the song, was none other than Weston Smith! Crying out in mad delight at the spectacle as he and his running buddy unleashed Hell upon Dubhe! Sweet, sweet Vehicular Hell! "GERONIMOOOOOOOO!" "WITNESS MEEEEEEEE!" Did Weston have war paint on his face? F*** yes he did.

An explosion followed, one big enough to level half the city block as Dubhe was interrupted by epic manly Road Warrior-ing, in in the aftermath Kyuzo had to struggle to crawl out from beneath a fallen light post. As he did, he stood to his feet, tightly gripping his damaged phone...but quickly felt his adrenaline pumping again at what stood before him. There, wobbily and tilting, but still alive...and sans the large pancake on top...was Dubhe! Wrecked, ragged, ruined, but still rampaging! Kyuzo knew though, that that strange duo from Okina had bought him the time he needed...it was time to finish this. Personally. "Sorry Dubhe, but it's time to put you...on ice! So you'd better chill. Because I'm about to reduce your hit points...to Absolute Zero!" Oooh, wow, that's why Kyuzo didn't normally tell puns. But all pun-related injuries were pushed aside as Kyuzo dashed forward, and leaped into the air with two swords drawn. Down he came, slashing in a v-shape through the v-shaped body of Dubhe...thus completely missing Dubhe! Damn it. But he quickly recovered from his mistake, slashing one more time upwards and cleaving the Ice Cream Cone (FINE! It's an Ice Cream Cone! You wanna break me down, hear me say it? It looks like an Ice Cream Cone, alright!) in half.

The body froze, the same strange voice echoing out from moments before...before finally being silenced. And then it began to dissipate, returning to the void from whence it came. Dubeh was defeated...due to the sacrifice of two noble, honest spirits-

"HEY! Get us out of this crater damn it! What's this bullsh't about sacrificing anyone!? You picking a fight!? HUH!?"

"Ah, Weston, you shouldn't pick a fight with the narrator."

...w-well, anyways, the battle was done. But what other horrors were to come?

Youmu held her arm as she walked through the halls of the building...a few JPs officers flanking her position as they made their way in.
'I guess I'm about to figure out..' she thought, as the elevator went down....
Far down.... Enough for her to tense up....Before it suddenly stopped, and the doors opened. They barely got to escape the elevator, before another figure moved over...seemingly effortlessly as he eyed her up.
"Welcome to JPs...Miss Konpaku."
She held her breath for a few scant moments, as she recognized the voice. The one that had been giving her orders..Missions to do...Tasks to accomplish....Was he really..
"I'm Yamato Hotsuin, the chief of JPs. I've heard reports of your accomplishments..and thanks to you, Tokyo is a little bit safer."
She was a bit shocked at how..Young. the commander was. And yet, he gave her a small, but kind thanks for all of her help. Though, she couldn't help but wonder...
Is he looking at me....or the demons I command?
"Sir, We have an update on the Dubhe report!"
"Hm? I will be there immediately."
Youmu watched the expression on Yamato's face darken.
"Some other time, Konpaku. You may access the terminals if you like...but, I must be going."
Youmu nodded quietly as she watched the man dart off....in question of something.
