Sionet Veralee Oroboros



Once they were there, with silence prevailing, Sionet slipped her self off the side, sliding down the scales till her feet were on teh ground. "Cyrill we are ready to go. May You please open the gate now." Her voice came out a bit more terse than she intended, though she was still irritated at him for the liberties that he had taken earlier. But she was being as polite as possible, while being thankful that Xavier silence w as his promise that he would do his best at least.

When all she got was a lifted chin from the man, she narrowed her eyes at him. That was enough to get him moving as he looked up at Xavier with a bit of wariness. Then with a quick turn he lifted his arms and began teh enchantment to open the portal. After a few minutes a great pressure built in teh small area before a swirling vortex like portal opened up revealing a slightly grey place that looked dreary and bleak. thought on occassion there were flashes of color and a white marble monolith like building.

"The anchors on the other side are waiting our arrival. But please take this time to reconsider your choice, Sionet... It will be a cause of ... well you know." Cyrill said before going back to being silent.

Sionet closed her eyes and gathered herself, before snapping them open and placing a hand on Xaviers side. "I will not. Nor do I really care that it will cause a stir. IT is my CHOICE and I will stick to it. They can accept it cause it was blessed by a higher council then them." she said as she took her hand from Xavier and stepped through the portal. Feeling as if her innards were trying to be ripped through her abdomen. Once she was on the other side, a bit of vertigo washed over her before she was centered again. Looking around the landscape Sionet put a frown on her face before she was suddenly pounced on by young man, just as a feminine voice rang out.

"Would you stop that Hayden...." the voice was soft, sweet and a bit snooty. Causing Sionet to duck and spin around to the side. Only to hear a loud thud as someone hit the dirt. Looking down she saw a blue haired young man wearing a white coat, grinning up at her, before she turned her gaze to a blue haired woman, who looked like a female version of him. "Hailey and Hayden, it... has been.... a while." she said, her voice soft but slightly choked as she stepped back towards the portal, obviously shaken. Seeing the slightly pained look on their faces at her reaction to them.

The shock that was running through her was taken away immediately from her when a familiar silver white wing with black markings on them encompass her, pulling her flush to a scaled body. Looking up as he spoke, she peeked around the wing to look at her siblings as shock, outrage and sadness swept across their faces, making Sionet's heart feel pain. Lifting up a hand she placed it on the satin feeling leather wing and stepped around it. "Thank you Xavier, but this is my problem. I have to face it at some point." Her voice was soft as she spoke, her brown eyes watching the twins as they looked at each other, than back to her with matching frowns.

Stepping forward she motioned for them to walk with her as she made her way up the long winding path to the monolith building. "You both have really grown up over hte last eighty years. Both of you are taller than me now. How is father...and mother....?" she asked her voice loud enough that Xavier and Cyrill could hear, but yet soft enough that it showed her uncertainty.

Silence met her words before Hayden spoke up, "It is good to see you sis..sionet. As for mother she is home with the youngest and newest of our brood. You have other siblings now... about twelve in all. As for father....you will be seeing him soon enough..." His words causing Sionet to stiff as she noticed that they were rather close to her person, so she slowed down and let them pass her by.

It was this subtle action that made them stop and turn and stare at her, pain clearly written in their ocean blue eyes. They looked at her, than her left shoulder were a very prominent scar that was there. Both looked away ashamed as they stood there. "I know.. That no apologies will.. Ever make what we did right. But we hope that in time... mayhap that we can find a common ground. I want you to meet your nieces and nephews I have given you....and maybe you can get Hayden to finally find a mate...the elders are not amused he prefers to be with other males more than women." Hailey said her voice soft and mellow as she peeked up through her blue bangs, while a gasp of shock came from Hayden.

Giving a shake of her head, Sionet saw it around them, that they were serious. Unable to stop herself, she lifted her right hand and rubbed at the scar tissue. Staring at them she smiled softly and hesitantly, before speaking, "I don't know.. I mean that is a wonderful offer, but....I know I also scarred you two when you followed me to the cliff that day. Unaware that you were there till I made my choice....We can discuss this later. I want to get my knight and myself to our chambers and resting. Please.. Hay and Hail, give me time to think...twenty five years of torment is a long time."

With that she turned and looked back at Xavier and waved at him to come forward. She needed him close to her person right now. Seeing looks of understanding on their faces, the twins turned and continued to walk towards the monolith.

Xavier's antics didn't go unnoticed by all four parties present, though Hayden did chuckle and shake his head as he waved at Xavier in invitation. Looking up at him, Sionet smiled and placed a hand on him. "I will be fine. I promise, just wanted my Bestie to be close by." she said in a soft whisper. Her look of adoration and love for him that she never masked made her siblings smile warmly at the two. Even if their eyes look a bit worried at something only they could see.

"So you two....are lovers?" Hayden asked in a inquisitive tone of voice. While Hailey shook her head and smacked the back of Haydens head. "No you idiot... they are really good friends. If you paid attention, she is still very much a virgin....." she said trailing of as her voice resounded with her worry. Than she darted her eyes back to Cyrill who had been following them silently and watching the interactions between them all. A loving smile on her lips as a look of fondness crept into her dark ocean blue eyes.

Sionet went very still at Xaviers words, her body tensing up as the air temp dropped drastically as the air seemed to grow very thick. In the depths of her eyes one could see actual lightning striking, as she let out a low hiss. THe twins backed away from her and just stared at Xavier as if he was an idiot, while Cyrill came around and placed himself between the twins and sionet and Xavier. His eyes flickering back and forth wondering how far Sionet's temper would go, while not drawing it towards himself.

"OH...REALLY! And if you recall the conversation Lord Fredret?" Her voice holding not emoiton as she spoke.

Seeing the looks that passed over his face, Sionet let her anger go. the air stayed on teh colder side, but was no longer suffocating with her mood. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath and spun around. A small smile on her face as she began to walk the ascending path the monolithic building. Something in Xavier's eyes told her that he was figuring things out, but his denseness about others feelings was what was causing her a source of pain...... While mentally she was hating herself.

"Careful of what you say now Cyrill......and you two.....Hayden." Hailey whispered softly to two men before she looked up at Xavier and gave him a hesitant smile that told him she was sorry.

Hayden looked a bit green around the gills as he blinked and shook where he was standing. Looking up at Xavier with an apologetic look, he hooked his arm through Cyrills arm, as the b lond siren glared at Xavier, only to mutter under his breath, "This will be a long meeting and I am sure that certain people will cause damage to the build for their ignorance." as he let Hayden drag him along.... Noting the furtive glances he was casting back at the dragon lord.

Sionet took slow deep breaths to hide the fact that tears were threatening to fall. Her father once told her that being in love is the hardest thing a person can do.... and she knew now that he wasn't kidding....

Hayden slowed down to walk next to Xavier, the smile on his face coming and going. After a few seconds he spoke to the dragon, "I know you don't mean harm, but she is really sensitive about her feelings. Guards them viscously like ...uh...pardon the pun... but a dragoness. In part of it is what we, Hailey and I did, as well as the clan when she w as growing up. I hope to not be presumptuous, but please take care with your words.....Your her chosen night. " his soft voice not carrying as he stilled the air around them.

Turning her head to the side to look at Xavier, as he nudged at her arm. A faint smile on her lips as she did lift her arm at his insistance to stroke once his nose, before looking forward once more. His words caused a small tremor to roll through her heart, unseen by those around her. Giving a small nod of her head, Sionet let out a breath she wasn't aware that she had been holding. "I know, but it doesn't make it easier when you speak with out thought...Friend." Her voice soft and trailing away on the last word.

soon they came to the end of the ascent to the building, only to see two people with wings standing there. One was a tall man, who looked to be in his prime, with a familiar set of brown and violet eyes and smile that seemed to make it look the like the sun was shinning, while the other was a wizened older male, slightly stooped with a gray beard that ran past his waist. "It is good to see you my child, it has been many years.....Thought your choice of guardians is a bit....questionable.. already it has caused a stir with certain other elders. But than again, child of my blood, you did have to be uniquely troublesome..." the old man said, a smile curving his lips as he stepped forward and embraced her.

All the while the other male, stood there with a rather impish smile on his face, as mischief danced in his eyes while staring from Sionet to Xavier and back again.
