Raleigh grinned and her cheeks flushed at the compliment. "Thank you! I'm Raleigh! Nice to meet ya, Ciel." An eyebrow quirked upwards as people starting making their way towards the quarrel that had clearly caused a bit of commotion in the dance. "I think they're about to get busted. My money would'a been on the one with the green hair, he seems feisty!" Raleigh gasped when Lovely stepped in front of his friend and took the other kid's punch right in the face. Her hand clamped over her mouth and she shook her head. "This got outta control real quick," she said in a hushed voice to her new companion for the night.

Dani didn’t have much of a social life outside of the Negaverse. In fact, aside from Negaverse-specific gatherings, she couldn’t remember the last time that she went out- particularly as a civilian. Did she used to go to parties before she joined the Negaverse? She couldn’t remember. She did, however, remember being drunk when she had her first run-in with Benitoite. Maybe she had gone to a party that night? Maybe if she started going to things again, she would have some semblance of herself back- maybe then she could figure out where she belonged. In light of that, Dani had decided that the Spring Fling was the perfect place to venture back out into the world. It was easy, it was alcohol-free, there were chaperones, and she hadn’t heard of any plans to ruin it a-la New Years Eve.
Yep, perfect, the blonde tried to convince herself as she stood outside of the community center for a while, watching as people went into the dance. Her hands were clasped in front of her and she rocked back and forth onto her heels from the balls of her feet.
How was a tiny dance so intimidating? She was being ridiculous… But she had no friends to attend with and she feared more than anything being that girl alone at a dance. What if no one talked to her? What if no one asked her to dance? Oh god, this was a terrible idea.
Dani took a few steps closer to the doors of the community center, trying to catch a glimpse inside when the doors swung open. It seemed harmless enough, so finally the blonde decided to go right on in, paid her entrance fee, and let out a long breath that she hadn’t realized she’d been holding.
And immediately, she watched wide-eyed as a boy got punched square in the face. Was this what ‘normal’ teenagers did? She winced and basically moon-walked over to the dance floor far, far away from the fighting. There was no way she was getting involved in that mess. And there, right in the middle of the dance floor, Dani busted all sorts of really terrible, amazing, YouTubed dance moves.

Really, guys? Come on - how hard is it to pop that windbag in the nose for being an a*****e? Ten to one Spraypaint Picasso there is the one who started some s**t. Someone's gotta cut in and can his damn bullying.
"No s**t it's juvenile," Slate called from where he stood. A hand rested on hip in adopted body language. "But it's the only way you can get a brat like Green Eyes over there to ******** off. Nothing else has taught him to wise up about his machismo." And a good beating might help shape him into a better person. A tolerable one.
Besides, I'm sure that a little throwdown will bring a lot of interest into this place - or at least give everyone a story to tell when they head back home.
And then first blood spilled from the pretty one.
What a shame, that. He had some nice appeal there. Oh well; a broken nose or busted lip might give him character.

"Same, Raleigh." Ciel said with a smile.
"Yeah, though the other boy did have his friends." She said watching them curious how this all would end.
She really wasn't expecting the boy who had tried to stop the fight with her to step infront of the punch. She let out a gasp mimicking her new companion.
"Oh wow, yeah no kiding. I hope he's ok." She was glad for the older women heading towards the fight, to presumably break it up. Had they not been there she would have considered stepping in herself before anyone else got hurt, but she really didn't want to fight in her new dress so she was glad someone else was there to do that.
"So I haven't seen you around what school do you go to?" She said trying to strike up conversation but still keeping her attention on the quarreling boys.

One moment Ilian was preparing himself to get a fist in his face, and the next he saw Lovely step in to take the hit for him. “H-hey!!” he sputtered, nearly stumbling over backwards when Lovely crashed into him from the punch. Catching his companion and obvious defender, Ilian glared at the green haired boy. “What the hell??” he growled, unable to do much as he held Lovely upright after being hit.
He would admit that he had every intention of riling up a boy who obviously didn't want to be there, but for someone completely innocent to get hurt? Not only was he furious, but he really wanted to power up and kick this guy's a**. Unfortunately there was nothing they could really do at the moment, and he was more concerned about Lovely now.
Ilian tsked in disapproval at the others reactions. Obviously they had no sense of humor and were going to shift the blame on anyone else. Well, he was done with that. If anything, he would be better off having fun on his own instead of some school party.
Still, he felt bad for getting Lovely hurt. “Come on, let’s get out of here,” he suggested to the other, turning to see if Jericho would follow as well. He would make sure to leave through an exit away from the others.
Exit for Ilian and Lovely and Jericho if he wants!

Peter smiled in response, thinking it was cute that she asked if he had a girlfriend. “I’m here with my friend, Haven. Sort of. My brother and his wife are here, too,” he said, trying not to think about how Haven had said mean things to him just a little while ago. “Are you in highschool? I’ll be going to Azure in a year,” he admitted, trying not to make a face. Azure was great and all, but it was also known to be rather, well… snobbish. He thought he would fit in better at Meadowview.
Of course, there seemed to be some kind of scuffle going on near the punch bowl and Peter frowned in disapproval. "Let's... not get caught up in whatever all that is..." he said after taking a quick scan to make sure it wasn't anyone he knew.Kolina I'm so sorry. QQ I thought I tagged you already.

Chris nodded to Gabriel after his introduction, grinning when he mentioned going to DCU. “Ah, I graduated last year. Architecture and mathematics… although I guess the degrees are kind of pointless since I pitch for the Comets,” he said sheepishly, feeling a little ridiculous that he went to school for something like math and design and then plays baseball as his profession.
He laughed awkwardly at the mention of him being a knight, not really sure how to respond, feeling caught a little off guard since he secretly was, well, a knight.
But they didn’t have much time to talk, as Paris quickly pointed out some trouble nearby. “Oh, come on…” he groaned, wishing these kids would just behave themselves. He would say this wasn’t high school, but most of the kids there actually were in high school.
“Want me to take care of it?” he asked Paris, glancing around to see if any of the other chaperons caught sight of the trouble yet.

Chailee nodded at the mention of his friend. She was still hoping to see someone she knew walk in but she really hadn't been paying much attention to the door and the coming and goings of people since running into Peter. The sounds of raised voices though did catch her attention and she glanced in the direction it was coming from to see a cluster of people before turning back to Peter. "Oh, um. Yea. I am a freshman at Meadowview. I've never been one to really keep up with studies past what I need to pass so I didn't bother with any private school though I think my mom secretly hoped I'd go to Crystal." She smiled and shrugged. "It's pretty awesome that you're going to Azure though!" The sounds of the voices were getting more pronounced and Chailee's brows furrowed as she glanced back in that direction but it was hard to see who was all involved. So when Peter mentioned keeping out of it, Chailee was quite inclined to agree. "Yea. Um, wanna go over there? Just in case the whole thing blows up?" She tilted her head in the direction of a few tables and chairs that had been set up for people. "Um, if you want, you can ask your friend Haven to join us so she's not looking or you? I don't want to keep you from your friends."

Matthew felt his fist connected solidly, but it was not the face he was aiming for that got the blow. The teen felt a rush of horror and regret when he realized the guy who'd actually been taking his side was the one to step into his punch and take it for his friend. The blonde had been horrified by the ice stupidity, he certainly didn't deserve what he got... but Matthew squashed those softer feelings quickly, reeling back to put some space between himself and the trio of other boys.
He scowled as he shook his hand out, looking sullen and thunderous. He wasn't going to apologize... the blonde shouldn't have gotten in the way if he didn't want to get hurt. God... <******** this s**t! He had not come here to get into a fight, he hadn't started it and he even would have let it go. This sucked..."Matthew!" Orah gasped out as she broke through the crowd and dropped Laney's wrist. Horror was written large across her face as she rushed to her brother, forcing herself between him and the others as she put both hands to his chest and shoved him back.
"What on Earth are you doing? This is a school dance, for heaven's sake! I can't leave you alone for five minutes without you getting into one of your stupid fights? What is wrong with you?" The young woman's voice rose as her brother shoved her hands away from him, his petulant expression growing dark and stormy with his building anger."Its not my fault, damn it! I wasn't doing anything when this a*****e started harassing me!" The teen shouted back, uncaring that their raised voiced were going to draw eyes. Well... not uncaring, so much as unwilling to back down. He was mortified that his sister was hounding him right in the middle of the crowded gym, but there was no way he was going to just roll over and take it this time. ******** this s**t. ******** it.
He couldn't deny there had been other times when the fights had been his fault, but this time he really, truly hadn't been doing anything, and hadn't come with the intention of getting into trouble. He'd come so that Orah could come, so that she could bring her friend. And this... this is what he got for it, wasn't it?"Matthew, it doesn't matter who started it!" Orah said, dropping her voice as she realized how loud they'd both gotten. Dang it... she could feel eyes on her and her cheeks reddened, wild color spreading over her face. Why couldn't they ever do anything nice? Why did this always happen? Matthew was never happy doing anything, and getting into fights like this was getting out of hand with how often it happened. She just... didn't know what to do with him any more.
"We're going home." She said firmly as she she took his arm and turned him towards the door, but Matthew jerked away from her hold.more fights over it, now.
This was so unfair. He fully planned on taking his sweet a** time walking home, with maybe a detour along the way. He needed some cool off time before he had to explain to his father what had happened and get a lecture all over again about the erroneous ways. This night was a ******** disaster and see if he ever let his sister drag him out again. He'd have slammed the door on his way out, if they hadn't been standing wide open.Orah was left standing in the middle of the crowd as her brother stormed off, dying of embarrassment and furious at her sibling. Anger was never a comfortable emotion for her... she so rarely lost her temper, she didn't know how to deal with it. And on top of that, they'd made a huge scene and there was no way she was actually going to stay now.
Spinning on her heel, Orah rushed back to where she'd left Laney, struggling to hold her composure. Breaking down in tears was the last thing she needed right now.
"I'm so sorry, Laney. I need to go home. You can stay if you want... enjoy the party. I just... I need to go." She said, lowering her voice to keep it between them. This wasn't how tonight was supposed to have gone... An attack by the Negaverse she could have dealt with, but her brother? This had been such a huge mistake, getting him to come.Matthew out! Anyone is free to go follow him and harass him a little more ~

Laney nodded sympathetically, putting a comforting hand on Orah's shoulder. She wanted to do more, to wrap her up in a tight hug and tell her everything would be okay -- but Orah, no doubt, wanted to go after her brother. Laney didn't want to delay her. "We'll both go home," she said. "Message me so I know you got home safe?"

Briar didn't really need any help getting more drink, he was perfectly able to get it himself, although...
For a moment he glanced down at his cup. Some although some more diet coke would be nice since there was hardly any left in the cup.
He nodded at her question about the pizza "It's okay. They've got a bunch with different toppings" he'd opted for a slice of the pepperoni.
His attention was distracted by the commotion over by the curly-haired ice dumper and the girly-haired boy with the neon green tips.
There was others by them, a blond-haired boy the closest, and a brown-haired woman had converged on them and was going off into a tirade...
It was only when the neon green-tipped boy stomped out and the woman moved back over to wherever she'd come from that Briar realised that the lilac-haired girl had told him her name "Uh I'm Briar - Briar Mackenzie."

Arias laughed as KD embraced him, glad to have a distraction from his texting failures. His eyes darted to her when she used the word 'brother', but he only smiled a little softer and stood a little taller before he reached out and took Willie's hand. He gave it a firm shake; if KD liked him, he assumed he had to be a good guy.
…He'd better be.
He didn't correct Willie by elaborating on his bloodless relation to KD; instead, his interest had piqued at the word 'farm'.
He would have taken KD for the type to go after some big city guy, a movie star or something—not a farmboy. It was charming, and for whatever reasons (movie stereotypes, he was sure), he trusted the male a little more.
"Yeah? I haven't been to a real farm in years. If you're serious, I'd love to take you up on that sometime. Nice, fresh air. That's where I thrive. Well, that and the kitchen, I suppose. It's nice to meet you, Willie. KD's a great girl, I wish you two the best of luck and all the happiness in the world."
He glanced to KD and winked for good measure; there was no denying that she had great taste in men or—wait, what? No, no. That's. That wasn't what he was supposed to be thinking.
Get your head out of the gutter, Arias, or it's back to the kitchen with you.
No wonder he didn't let himself socialize at events like this; he was half a thought away from making an absolute fool of himself more often than not. Seriously needed to get a lid on that one of these days.
But—for now, at least, he could be happy for KD. And her man.

"Well, I am, but..."
He was her brother. That's just all there was to it. She trusted him like family and she dared anyone to challenge her love for him. It was true and deep and made her feel warm when she thought of him. He'd helped her through some of the worst parts of her transition into being a knight and she trusted him beyond doubt.
And now they both needed to like eachother because if they didn't she wasn't sure what she would do. Though those fears seemed kind of fruitless since neither of them seemed to immediately dislike the other.
In fact, call her crazy but she thought she noticed Arias' eyes lingering on Willie in a way she didn't quite recognize, though she knew him well. It wasn't very noticeable to anyone that didn't know him well, either. KD filed it away for a future conversation and deflected to something else.
"You should see the farm Arias. There's horses and a cute dog named Caesar and they have go carts!"
She'd had fun with those not so long ago after meeting his family. She knew Arias would be wary of the go carts, if nothing else, but was on her never ending quest to broaden his horizons. And he usually did, for her sake. She nuzzled Westley affectionately and smiled at them both, pleased as punch that they finally met.
"Westley, he's an amazing baker. I could live on his cupcakes. Well, maybe not live on them unless you want a chubby girlfriend but close enough..."
It was only after it was out of her mouth that she realized she had used the word girlfriend. They hadn't actually talked about that. They were just dating as far as she knew. She blushed and tried not to call attention to it.
"I should bring you to his bakery sometime. He's a wizard in the kitchen"

Istas had turned her head towards the commotion as well, as the fight broke up, "It's a shame some people don't know how to behave in public." She mused before giving a small shrug.
"Oh, they do have different toppings? I hope they have green pepper, that's my favorite." She grinned as she glanced over towards the table, "Nice to meet you Briar!"
She added with a nod and smile, "Beyond the fighting has this been any sort of fun or has it all been ruckus? I mean I thought this was suppose to be so we could have fun and not worry about silly school yard fights after all."
She paused, "Wanna walk over to the concessions table with me? Maybe they'll give you a refill without having to pay for it."

Dani cringed as she watched as the young teenage boy got escorted out of the dance by what looked to be his older sister. Her right arm dangled at the elbow as she did the robot and watched the ruckus that was slowing dying down. Then, the blonde shrugged her shoulders, turned away from the loud, rowdy group, and threw her hands up in the hair. She shook and shimmied and released all of her built up stress as she danced alone and sweaty- and had the best time she had had in a long time.
