Mai did her best not to roll her eyes at the man's words, for it wasn't in her nature to do such a childish act. But his words were giving her the urge, not to mention the obvious favoritism that was among them. Though it was no skin off her nose. Hearing the kitsune's warnings about getting his name wrong, she simply brushed him off.
“From the second we arrived, I noticed the difference of treatment you give Mitsuko. I'm not just a specialist in medicine, I'm also very observant. You're tone changes when you speak to her. Softer compared to your cold and firm one with me and Haku. Why is that? You know this is a team right? She's not a child, the moment she joined this team, she became a ninja just like the rest of us. Despite her age, she is the same like myself and Haku. Our enemies will see the same thing. Another ninja, not child. For Mitsuko's sake and our team, treat us the same or don't teach us at all. And you can call me Mai."
Mai finally spoke with no mockery or disrespect, only genuine opinion as she made her way to a corner and began doing push ups on her hands as a warm up for some Taijutsu.
The sound of Doc's voice along with the words he used did bring some measure of calm to the man as he cleanly ignored the shuriken screaming past his head, having only noticed them to late to actually react in a any meaningful way. His sensei was right, they shouldn't be acting like this. With a sigh the flames on his tails faded into nothingness as he turned around and nodded,"Yes sensei." He swore an oath to himself that he would protect these people, and yet here he was about to flat out attack one of his own teammates over something small and pathetic. With a sigh he dipped his head and his ears turned back pressed against his head,"My apologies for my behavior sensei. I am still getting used to interacting with people and frankly there are a lot of things about them I do not understand." He had shamed himself with his words. Without waiting for a response from his sensei he turned on heel and slowly made his way over to Mai and took a knee in front of her as he began,"Mai, I am, sorry, for my actions and my words before. My apologies, it was not right for me to act that way." He did not know how she would treat his actions nor how she would respond but he had to do this none the less.

A small sigh of relief would escape of his lips as he felt himself ignore the fact that there was a man with five hearts within the area as he looked at his students. Hoshi was socializing with the doctors squad which made him happy to see his student making friends. Becky was with them and also taking care of San which made him feel as if his job as a teacher was going well. His eyes would go to Toria as she noticed fall asleep and tried to remember one of the two lessons he learned from his father about women. Shrugging his shoulder he'd walk to a dummy and as if he didn't move at all he cut through the dummy with his nodachi and sheathed it at a fast speed in one swift motion, poking it and watching it fall back in three pieces.
Technique used: Iaidō With a single unhindered and swift motion, a true samurai can unsheathe his weapon and strike at the exact same time. This can provide an elegant, yet effective way to catch your opponent off guard, or as a means to interrupt handsigns. Note that this ability only shows true effectiveness upon the drawing of a weapon from its sheathe. Losing some of its element of surprise after being used once and then resheathed. ( This attack's rank mimics whatever stage of Tetsu no Ryu you are in. For example, if you are in Stage 5, this technique is considered rank A. )
Toria opened her eyes after 20 minutes of sleep. She sat up and shook the oh so tired look on her face. Though she didn't look tired, she really was. Looking around a bit, she got up and saw Sougo. She walked at a bit of a fast pace. She stopped behind his back and wrapped her arms around him lightly. "I'm really tired... But I need to train.. Scroll please." Toria said, referring to the scroll he had before. She lightened her grip on him until her arms dropped and she backed up a bit. She stood there and stared at his back for a few seconds, waiting. ___________________________________________________________

Sougo would crouch down as he prepared for his next target to ease his boredom as he felt someone wrap their arms around him. A bewildered look would appear on his face as his grip on the nodachi intensified. Out of everything Sougo wasn't comfortable being grabbed from behind. He wasn't used to it himself unless they were trying to kill him but as the voice spoke a sigh was breathed out as he calmed himself. Taking the scroll from his kimono he would hand her the Nenshou Tosshin (burning rush) scroll so she can learn it. "Let me show you how to use it." performing the hand signs Sougo would move out of her range and be enveloped in a sphere of fire before it covered his body like it was another layer of skin. Though he quickly dissipated it as not to harm the young student as he walked to her and pat her head. "Now you try"
Toria watched as he performed the jutsu, she stood there and stared blankly at him. Analysing his every move. After he was done she nodded and took the scroll, and smiled softly. "Thank you." Toria said and took the scroll.
She read the scroll and after reading it she put it down and backed up a little. Looking around to make sure she wouldn't hit anyone, she closed her eyes and her body was covered in a red hot flame. It only lasted a few seconds, because it started burning after a bit. [Post 1/3]
Toria shook her head lightly and covered her body in flames again, but this time she kept it for longer. The flames went away but came back soon after, she kept it going for longer than before. The flames extinguish. [Post 2/3]
She looked around a little before focusing once more, flames engulfed her and she looked like a silhouette of fire. She enjoyed learning a new jutsu. She stayed as a fire silhouette for about 10 minutes before she couldn't hold it much more. She would need to practice this jutsu a little more to master it. [Post 3/3 Jutsu Nenshou Tesshin learned.]
Toria clapped her hands in excitement of learning a new jutsu, she was smiling happily at Sougo and walked over to him, smiling. Jumping slightly she took her headband off (The one on her head, not the Ninja headband) and sat it onto a nearby chair. At the moment she would prefer it off. ___________________________________________________________

Clapping softly Sougo would watch as his student progressed. Out of everything he was impressed that they all were learning so quickly, it reminded him a bit of himself in a way but that was less killing but more learning quickly. He would pat her head and pull out another scroll "Would you like to learn another?"
Toria smiled softly as Sougo patted her head. She shook her head, smiling. "Maybe later. When there isn't as much people. They make me uncomfortable." She said, referring to the other students in he academy. She came a little closer to Sougo, slowly. When she was close enough she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. ___________________________________________________________

This was something new to sougo entirely. Never has anyone but his family hugged him. The old man who gave him the nodachi patted him on the head and others as well when he was younger but this was something that he wasn't familiar with nor could have any expression to. Not only his face but his entire body seemed to grow into a light shade of red as the young girl hugged him. Just told him to calm down and think as his tint went down and he returned the hug.
Toria closed her eyes as he hugged her back. She smiled. "You know, I don't think we're supposed to do this. But that's just an assumption." She was referring to the hug they were in. But she wasn't letting go until he did. ___________________________________________________________

There is no great genius without a mixture of madness.
Mitsuko watched and listened to everything going on around her. She ignored her teammates for the moment before she turned to Viktor and tugged on him slightly, "I wanna train a custom that I just thought of..." She said as she thought some more about it, "I want to call it... Stasis. I want to be able to stop my heart and other processes. It will make people think I'm dead, but I'll still be aware. It would help with espionage."
No matter how much you think you love somebody, you'll step back when the pool of their blood edges up too close.

He would chuckle and pat her head once more. He knew nothing of student teacher rules other than not to kill them so this was new to him as was human relations other that where their jugular was and to slit it with his shuriken and how to clean his wounds. "In all honesty i do not know"
Toria chuckled slightly and let go of him. "I don't know either, but I don't care if it is." She backed up a bit and put her hands behind her back. ___________________________________________________________

Viktor was about to respond to Mai’s accusations when he felt Mitsuko tug on his pants leg and explain what she wanted to do for a technique. Nodding, he looked down at her “Sounds interesting, I’ll monitor your chakra signature as you practice it, and intervene if it starts weakening too much, or stays weak for too long.” He then listened to Hakuzo’s apology, “It’s alright, this time….I’ll need you to work on controlling that temper in the future, Hakuzo.” He finally was able to respond to what Mai had said, walking over to where she was doing pushups his voice flat and emotionless as usual, “Regardless of how my voice may sound, Mai, my expectations of Mitsuko are the same as for you and Hakuzo. I expect all three of you to become skilled and powerful shinobi in your specialties, and I’ll do whatever I can to help all of you. If anything, Mitsuko will need a bit more help here in the beginning of all your training not due to her young age, but due to both the strength and weakness of her clan, which I was given the task to help her overcome by the Hokage. So, now that that’s done…what taijutsu style are you thinking of learning? Maybe I can be of assistance.”
"But for me, it means Freedom, for it is the source of my Power."

Mai had been focused in her training when she noticed Haku approach her in attempt to apologize for his actions. Which only caused her to grow more suspicious of him since only a few minutes ago, he was threatening to attack her over a silly nick name. Jumping back to her feet, she cracked her neck and saw Vik walk over to them. Not really listening to what he was saying, just simply hearing. Shrugging at both males, signifying that she had no care in the world for what was said or done, she sighed.
"I guess....just don't try baby any of us. Please. That's the least admirable trait of a teacher. As for training goes....I'm working on konoha tai style. I have a great amount of control over my chakra and want to use it with my taijutsu. Not just Eiseijutsu. Being able to defend is very important for medical nin. I hope to cause tremors with my fists by the time I'm done."
Mai admitted confidently as she glanced over in Mitsuko's direction and smirked before looking back to their sensei. Being in a squad with a another person that also specialized in the same field as she did meant only one thing, competition. Though comrades above all, Mai still saw a rival in her midst and would not be one to give up. Even more determined to train hard and win, because there was nothing more that Mai hated than losing to a rival.
