His final quest turned out to not be a final quest after all, but the prospect of what could be gained this time was enough for Yuki to take to the task without complaint. Flight. Who didn't want that?

As had happened with half of his quests, Yuki's horse decided that it didn't want to deal with this bullshit anymore and bucked him off.
At this point Yuki was so used to it, he just picked up the supplies that it had thrown off with him and starting walking like nothing had just happened.

Yuki sincerely wondered if any of the things that kept chasing him wouldn't be better used for sustenance.
Only he didn't feel like risking it with snakes because they were too busy trying to sink their teeth into his legs as many times as they possibly could. He was sick of these ******** snakes in these ******** mines ok.QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 14 YOUR HP: 40

To say that the knight was tired by the time that he reached the mountain summit was likely just as much of an understatement as saying that they were having a bad day when the majority of Camelot's knights had been thrown into the dungeons.
He retrieved the artifact, for the second time finishing a mission that was supposedly the last. Yuki silently wondered if it really was the end of his long walks in the dangerous terrain and wilderness.
At least he had someone to talk to when he reached the end of his journey.
He jolted when he realized that he'd walked right past the wizard without noticing him. Or, maybe he had just appeared out of thin air... Or had been hiding behind a sapling. As lanky as he was, Yuki would consider it a possibility.
"I thought you said that your group was moving on?"
"Intentions change. I may be a wizard, but I am no prophet. Besides, I keep stubborn company." The wizard admitted, shrugging a shoulder even as he gave a small smile. "We plan to be gone at dawn." Though, how the man could tell what time of day it was for the constantly dark and foreboding skies, Yuki had no idea.
"You will do well to rest, yourself, for the battle to come."
"How did you--"
Gesturing simply to Yuki, at last looking the part of the knight he was supposed to be, he spoke the obvious. "A servant of his King is never free of conflict."
"I suppose there's plenty of truth to that," Yuki sighed, "but the Great King is dead. It seems we fight this war for the sake of ourselves now. If humanity winks out of existence, I doubt the rest of the world will notice or care."
"Everything plays a part in the world of life. It must merely be balanced. The balance has been corrupted for some time now."
There was truth in that, too, and Yuki could only nod. "I hope to live to see a world not overtaken by shadow."
