xxxArgintie isn't one of the cache orphans. He's actually from a very prominent chimera family and lived pretty close to the top of the mountain. Argintie transferred into the school as a junior, mostly to get away and to postpone the arranged triad that his parents had thought good for him. Gin didn't like to share and he knew that any jealousy in a triad would cause it to warp and do more harm than good. The school seemed as good as any to find himself his own mate and get himself out of the marriage.
xxxWhen he first ran into Kito, and found the imp being bullied, his protective drive kicked in. Though, while Gin liked the imp and all, Kito wasn't what he was looking for in a prospective mate. He wanted a proud chimera that he could take home and help him rule the roost, not some teeny, sniveling imp that his parents would shun.
xxxBy senior year, many of the chimera's plans had changed. He was ruling a roost, alright, but it was made up of an up and coming mafia type family. He also had fallen hard for the sniveling imp. He no longer cared what his xenophobic family might think. He was sure they could have one of his siblings take over the family home, and he wasn't about to leave and go back to some arranged marriage. Gin had found his place, and it was here with the other races.
Kito: His mate and best friend (tho he would never admit that). Kito also keeps his books and ledgers for work, it keeps the imp close and (mostly) out of danger.
Rune: Rune is his errand boy. Gin mostly ignores the mutated hybrid and the boy barely breaches his radar.
Flit: A wisp that Kito got for him. Gin doesn't pay it much attention, but he also doesn't shoo it away. Honestly, it's more Kito's pet than his, but Gin was the one it followed.

xxxKito is a cache kid, orphaned as a stone and activated on accident. He grew up in the orphanage, one of the kids unlucky enough to not find a guardian. Kito is a super timid Imp, even for a race that isn't much for fighting, he rarely lashes out. Kito quickly became a target for bullying, choosing to run and hide instead of standing his ground. By junior year the imp developed a habit of hiding his face in his neck fur constantly, to the point that everything that he says is muffled.
xxxMid-way through junior year Kito ran into Argintie. Literally ran into the huge chimera while trying to get away from bullies. Kito was instantly convinced the scary chimera was going to kill him and he began babbling out apologies faster than was probably intelligible. Against all preconceptions the little imp had, the chimera stepped in and...dissuaded the bullies from going after Kito again.
xxxAfter that day the two of them became fast friends (with maybe just a hint of hero-worship on Kito's part). Now Gin is the only one allowed to bully the imp. Kito doesn't mind, honestly, and the imp seems much more self confident when Gin's around. He's even come out of his shell and doesn't mumble through his fur as much anymore. Argintie became his backbone and confidence. Needless to say the two became very close and are currently in a committed relationship.
xxxKito does not fully approve of Gin's loan shark business, but there's not much he can do to stop Argintie from doing it. Instead, Kito balances Gin's books for him (safest job in the place) and has been able to keep a few bones from being broken.
Argintie: His mate, best friend, protector, person who puts Kito in the most danger. Theirs is a complicated relationship, but Kito loves the insensitive b*****d.
Rune: Probably the only other Imp that has bigger issues than Kito. Kito tries to be Rune's friend, but the boy seems to have an invisible wall he refuses to take down.

xxxBijoux is pretty upbeat most of the time, though shy. A combination of being made fun of and lack of confidence makes Bijoux the last person to approach people. Still, they yearn for friends of their own.
xxxBijoux is a victim of circumstance. Someway, somehow, they were hatched during the much feared time of the cursed month. Maybe their parents wanted fangs or multiple wings? Maybe they were just irresponsible. Either way, Bijoux came into existence with only one eye and no parents to be seen.
xxxAs a freshling, Bijoux is terrified of flying. They're lack of natural depth perception and an extremely hard time seeing in the dark, fills the Fallen with a fear of crashing.
