[[Saeran : File City : Primary Village]]

Saeran twitched visibly when the little monster decided to start screaming in defiance and there was no denying the glint in the little b*****d's eye. He half felt the urge to drop and punt the demon half way across the clearing when its tamer came over and snatched it from his hands, essentially putting the ball of cold fluff in a choke hold that would make some wrestlers jealous. He looked back to the girl on the ground and for a moment grew concerned...

[[Cue: Sarias Song from Ocarina of Time]]

That's when he heard it, that tune. Luke was playing a small instrument just before a certain ocarina enthusiast jump in and added to the performance. It was perfect... even several of the screaming babies were halting their wailing after hearing just the first few notes. Saeran started humming instinctually as he picked up his egg and walked over to a stump located a bit over to the side, his voice grew with confidence as the tune progressed before jumping in with some unofficial lyrics, "-nd I'm still- hearing that- catchy song~"

While Sei wasn't necessarily a good singer, he definitely wasn't bad and could carry a tune rather well. As though reacting to this however, a crack formed clear across his egg as he hopped up on the large stump and sat drumming his hands with the beat on the wood surface, "Maybe I'm- supposed to- hum along~ Close my eyes- use my ears- make my way~"

The egg had cracks all over it as he kicked up his feet into some playful footwork, the egg resting safely on his lap, "Singing, dancing, swinging, humming, jumping, shouting, running, can't get awaaaay~" And with the highest point of the songs notes the egg burst, a floating snake swirling around Saeran's torso before spiraling down to the end of his arm where it at last rested over his palm happily rocking and bobbing with the tempo.

Not stopping he continued to sing along, smiling at the snake-like digimon resting in hand that seemed to be enjoying the cheerful melody just as much as he was. It wasn't a koromon, already Saeran could tell they were going to get along amazingly.

[ Song : File City : Primary Village ]

It had been a few minutes, which meant Song was starting to come to. Her head hurt and she swore that she had the weirdest dream. She had met with her Beyond the Door guildmates in the digital world. It was sort of cool, so she felt some regret waking up, especially with so much pain, but she felt glad that it was all... just...

Nope.

As Song gained consciousness, her body shifted. It recognized, even when Song didn't, that the resting spot was unfamiliar, but whatever the head was resting on felt very comfy. It was little more than some squirming before Song cracked open her eyes and saw the face of the Mizu she thought she had seen in her dream framed by the light of day.

Song froze, staring. She was torn between closing her eyes and turning to go back to sleep and apologizing at the very awkward position she was in. She chose to wake up completely. Song closed her eyes and brought her hands up to cover them. "My head," she moaned as she massaged the area around her eyes. Her body fumbled for a little bit as she tried to rise out of Mizu's lap. "I'm sorry," she made her apology clear as she sat up and looked at the happenings of the world around her. There were people singing and making music. A few were looking really comfortable with some little living balls of various materials. One of the balls was being squished in someone's armpits. Song vaguely felt sad for the poor little guy.

The recent string of events slowly returned to Song, Just in case, she asked for confirmation, "Just to make sure. You're Mizu and...," she really hoped she wasn't making a fool out of herself with this question, "this is the digital world, right?". Her voice, for someone that had been knocked out just a moment ago, was surprisingly clear and focused. She made a good show of hiding her grogginess. It was a skill she perfected after years of sleeping in but waking up and pretending she had been awake for hours when her dad came in from work.

[Alene : File City : ]

Alene stared at the strange egg, for a long time. Every so often she poked it once more. Again nothing different happened.

'Ugh, what am I doing?

The girl growled mentally as she started to stand up. As she started to move, the 'egg' started to glow. Alene shook her head at it now did something as she was about to leave. She shrugged and turned her back to it.

"Hiiiiiiiiiiii!"~ A cute little voice said from the top of Alene's said as a pair of bug looking eyes started to peek down at her.

Alene let out a loud scream that echoed around the area. All at the same time, she grabbed the bug, the creature, whatever it was off of her head, and threw it as hard and as far as she could.

"Weeeeeeeeee!~ I am flyiiiiiinnnnng!~"

As it went flying in the direction of the strange group,a terrified and confused Alene remained on the ground breathing heavily.

{Bobbi .:. File City .:. Primary Village}

"You can call me Bobbi," the brunette said cheerfully, relieved to see that Song was fully coherent. "And ye—"

She was interrupted by a woman’s scream, and whipped around to see who it was—only to see something come flying from the direction of said scream. On instinct, and with a yelp, she ducked.

[ Song : File City : Primary Village ]

"Mhm," Song murmured as she nodded, holding back an apology because it would be rude to interrupt. She never did get to saying the apology because Bobbi stopped mid-sentence to discover the source of yet another scream. Song also started, and her head whipped around to locate the source. The motions were fruitless. She'd figured from the very start that the sound was coming from in front of her, but the angle of it was such that it was directly behind Bobbi, meaning she couldn't see it. Without a visual clue to match with the aural clue, her first reaction to search with her eyes even when her ears had detected the direction.

It wasn't until Bobbi had ducked did Song see the danger with her own eyes. She didn't even have enough time to realize that of course she was going to be hit the moment screaming started happening again. Nope. Song was too slow, like always, and she got a faceful of Poyomon for her sub-par reflexes. The Digimon felt gooey and clothey at the same time. To top it all off, it was screaming happily and whoever happened to throw it had one heck of a throwing arm because Song was knocked to the floor again and knocked out on impact. This whole Digital Adventure thing was really not starting out well for her.

[ Luke, Asura, Karina, Calumon : File City : Primary Village ]

After playing a few rounds of Saria's Song, he set his ocarina down in his lap and gently grabbed a hold of his floating partner.

"Did you like that one, Saria?" he asked, to which the Yuramon answered a chorus of cheers. Meanwhile, Asura and Calumon had hurried over to where the group was hatching their eggs, the latter of which was carrying a damp washcloth. Calumon placed the rag on Song's forehead gently while Asura checked in with them. Karina, on the other hand, walked right up to the tree and sat down in its shade, refusing to get back up for a while.

"So, how are you all getting along so far?"

"Hey, Asura," Luke called, waving his arm energetically. "I think the babies are hungry.

"Of COURSE they are! Asura laughed. "Calumon's about to feed his babies. You lot, however, can go to the Meat Farm if your partners get hungry. Don't let me catch you mooching off of Primary Village!"

"Yes, ma'am," Luke said with a nod.

"Whoever wants to head to the Meat Farm now, let me know, and I'll lead you there. Unless you want to find the way for yourself... I guess you could do that. File City isn't that big. Now, any other questions or concerns?" She glanced around the village while Luke set Saria down and picked up his ocarina to play another song.

{Bobbi .:. File City .:. Primary Village}

"Oh, s**t!" Bobbi exclaimed when she realized that her ducking had caused yet another Digimon to the face for poor Song. She knelt down again, saying as she did so, "Oh my god, I’m so sorry, are you okaaaaaaaaand she’s out again. Lovely." Absently, she reached over and patted Calumon on the head as she checked Song for a concussion… again.

"She is not having a good time so far, is she?"

[Kyla: File City: Primary Village]

“What’s with all the craziness?..”

She turned around when Aira called her name. Typical her friend would try and keep tabs on her like that.
For the next while as Kyla turned back around to observe the rest of the group scattered in various places around the hill, eggs were hatching, babies were screaming or being thrown and poor song was knocked out more than a once. That cannot be good for her-

-“ok um… I think despite how we are feeling, lets no toss or propel any more living objects through the air now...shall we?”

Kyla replied walking back towards them, while various people were trying their best to calm certain babies down with song or singing.
It was nice to see so many musically inclined.
When she was close enough to see James’s companion on his lap she realized they had the same one!
The shell had broken away from the creature enough that it feel to the ground with a soft sound and now she was staring at the tiny metallically colored ...mouse looking thing. It sort of resembled-
“-koromon.”

“hm?”

Perhaps the inquisitive look on her face was just that obvious.
“Metalkoromon” it repeated. “Ah- I see.” Was it a digimon of few words she wondered? But then again it seemed to perk up and wiggle a bit in her hands. Sparks flew from the small ‘tail’ thingy on the back of it. “hehe.. like a mouse..” she mused.

It looked up at her obviously confused, “Nevermind, umm, My name is Kyla. Nice to meet you. Are you hungry- ?” like Asura suggested, it didn’t fall on deaf ears with her. The small one inclined its head, making another wiggle in between her palms.
“…you’re so tiny.. but I guess that may not have any impact on how much you eat. Let’s go see then.”
Meat farm she said? It rang a bell but she couldn’t remember where it was. “I think I’d appreciate a guide actually- if that’s not too much trouble, and then again you just sat down.” She didn’t want to demand so much from the woman.
Shifting the babe into her one hand she fished into her satchel but didn’t find anything for the poor thing to snack on. Not a good start. A slight tremble in its tiny body made Kyla bring it closer to herself, wondering if it was warm.

[ Luke, Saria, and Asura : File City : Primary Village ---> Residential Area ]

"I don't think I have any questions," Luke said after placing his ocarina into one of his jeans pockets and rising to his feet, wrapping his hands gently around his floating partner as he stood. "I guess I'm ready whenever you are, miss Asura."

"Okay then, anyone coming to the Meat Farm, follow me," Asura announced with a smile. "The rest of you can stay here; we'll be back soon with some food, I promise!" She quickly took off through the air after that, floating back in the direction of the houses, and Luke followed closely after her. After passing by Asura's house and several others, they came to a small plot of farmland near one of the dense tree walls, where a colorful Vegetation Digimon was pouring water from an orange watering can onto several humorously cartoony pieces of meat growing out of the ground.

"Asura!" the Digimon greeted with a wave upon seeing the MarineAngemon. "Good morning! I never see you out this..." It stopped mid-sentence when it saw the humans walking behind Asura, and gaped at them all. "Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear."

"My thoughts exactly," the pink floating Digimon laughed while she waited for the company to catch up.

[Kyla: file City: Primary village>--- Residential Area]

Clutching the small creature to herself, feeling it snuggle closer into her warmth Kyla made to follow along behind the the pink floating mega. Surely some would follow, but she figure she might as well make herself useful. Maybe they could find something for Song's head.

"-think they'll have some bandages there?" thinking of Song had a head injury they could bring her something- maybe an ice pack? She turned towards Bobbi still nursing poor Song's unconcious form. "-though I don't expect much from a meat farm- I'll see if I can bring something back for her."

Not the best start of things but it was better then nothing.
Kyla took in the lay out fo the city as thier guide brought them to the most peculiar farm-
"oh- Floramon.." she remember them from a long time ago. It was so weird seeing them in the flesh- they were bigger in person then she anticipated. they also seemed a bit uneasy upon seeing them- were humans a less then welcome sight o this place?
Perhaps.
It's not like things were suddenly all peaceful once the human protagonists showed up right? She wondered just how things were like for Asura when she first arrived.
"um..- greetings." she muttered giving them a polight nod.

[[Saeran : File City : Primary Village > Meat Farm]]

Saeran, with all of his not-so-reserved dancing and humming along with some of his favorite tunes, deadpanned when not once, but twice the poor girl was pegged in the face with a flying, living object. Well, I wasn't wrong about face knockouts lasting only a short time... still, this girl has a different kind of unlucky. Kyle would have a run for his money, I think.

He faltered, even though he knew it wasn't a time to be laughing, after all, this girl who to him was a complete stranger was just knocked out twice in the beginning of their... was this an adventure- or going to be? Regardless, a cough attempting to subdue the rising cheerful response to an otherwise unfortunate turn of events did nothing to stave off his giggling and laughter.

As his laughter calmed and he ignored for a moment the desire to pinch his arm again to double check he hadn't imagined his half-asleep reality checks, he paid more attention to the MarineAngemon. Her question posed for their own input and inquiries, he himself had nothing to add and neither did anyone else it would seem.

The snake-like digimon in the palm of Sei's hand snuggled in nicely, as Saeran hummed along with Luke's newest tune. The snake took a deep breath followed by a huff, at last finishing up by promptly falling asleep. Guess a nap in the sun wasn't a bad idea for the little guy, though, sleeping so soon after hatching did seem slightly odd... or maybe it wasn't. Hatching could be quite an ordeal for the little guy for all Saeran knew.

Cupping the digimon close he followed close behind Luke and Kyla. Sei was a little surprised they were heading to the meat farm, of all the games he'd played religiously as a child and... much to his embarrassment as an adulthood guilty pleasure, Sei never expected this to be what translated as true among the actual digital world.

Still if they were following this kind of pattern, it was a good start and Sei could only hope they would continue down this path... of all the series to match up with the real digital world, File City from Digimon World I and the island associated with it were the least threatening and almost child-like when comparing the severity of its dangers and conflicts to others of the series. Sure, this certainly wasn't the simplistic File City he knew with only a handful of buildings in total made of cardboard boxes and tuna cans, but he could hope that what awaited them, were his genre awareness to turn out accurate, was not something as dire and potentially deadly like those events in Digimon Tamers, aka the 3rd season.

If things get that violent, he shuddered, some of us are in for some real trouble... specially Miss Unconscious.

As Luke, Kyla, and Sei and any others arrived at the meat farm, he couldn't help but mentally mock the Floramon and their surprise... but mostly just their wording in response, Oh dear, oh my~

Instead, the boy followed suit with Kyla, nodding his head slightly with a gentle bend in his back, "Ello, is this a bad time?"

{James : File City : Primary Village -> Residential Area}

James let the plastic ocarina he had been playing fall back to hanging around his neck and stood up, holding the small mouse like digimon close to his chest. If Metalkoromon had feet he wouldn’t hesitate to put him up on his shoulder. However, he wasn’t sure how well the little metallic digimon would be able to stay there.

”You getting hungry?” James asked with a warm smile as he held the digimon.

”Mmhmm,” Metalkoromon replied, the response more a loud hum.

”Then I guess we should follow them,” He stated as he made his way over to Kyla and the MarineAngemon who had mentioned going to the meat farm.

While Digimon wasn’t one of James’ favorite things he had remembered the Meat Farm in the first game he had played. It was a good idea to go with them and learn how to get around as quickly as possible. Less worrying about getting lost later, though it was still a pretty good bet he would get lost a bit. Helping get food for the digimon was as good a reason as any too.

”Knowing Mizu and that bag of her’s she has something for Song,” He replied with a light chuckle. He had heard her mention plenty of times before the random things that she would have it in that “bag of holding” of her’s. The list was often quite ridiculous.

He followed Kyla, Banshee, and the pink digimon back toward the Residential Area of the city scanning it as he walked. He remembered in the game at least as one found and sometimes beat more and more digimon some of them would move into the city offering different stores, minigames, and the like. It wasn’t too long before they reached the meat farm, which was literally a farm growing haunches of meat out of the ground… he hadn’t remembered that part. Nor did he remember the vegetable like digimon that Kyla called Floramon. There were many digimon that the young man did not recognize or remember, his own companion the Metalkoromon being one of them. The Floramon seemed worried, perhaps even scared, which was odd. Then again their being here was also odd… Surely there was a reason though. One that they would likely find out.

[ Song : File City : Primary Village ]

Concussion? No go. Not having a good time? Check. Again, Song wasn't out for long. Although, she woke up with an even more pronounced headache. It wasn't all that bad, and despite the obvious annoyance it was, it did nothing to eclipse the pull that Song had felt since entering the nursery, the pull that she had become so used to that she could sort of just ignore it really easily.

While knocked out, Song had missed a good deal of the happenings around her, like the announcement to go to the meat farm and the departure of the majority of the humans. She came to with a belated, "GYAH!". Her body stiffened, but thankfully, it didn't pop up like a jack-in-the-box, or else Song and Mizu might have just experienced a double K.O.

"... Wait...," she slowly came to realize that she was staring up into the sky again, "Ah..." . She was sort of sure that she had been knocked unconscious once again but not completely and that kind of question just felt too awkward for the unfortunate woman to ask.

Not choosing to sit up this time, Song remained lying on the ground where she figured it was probably safer. As was often the case, she fell to a sudden urge to apologize, "I'm sorry, again," for reasons she was not quite sure about, but figured it was something along the lines of being a nuisance for being knocked around back and forth.

She didn't know quite what else to say despite the urge to say something, anything, so she defaulted to, "So... what did I miss?". That was something people who were knocked out asked, right? At least, it felt like something she would have her characters do for the sake of being efficient and saving time. Only after the words escaped her mouth did she realize that she had another question she could have asked. Her eyes had been swiveling in their sockets to get a view of her surroundings since shortly after she'd returned to consciousness and they continued to roll as she tacked on, "And where is everybody? I'm sorry, did I hold you back from something?". Song had noticed that the field seemed noticeably more devoid of humans than usual.

{Bobbi .:. File City .:. Primary Village}

"Hush, don’t apologize," Bobbi said, reaching out and gently tapping Song on the nose with a finger. "You didn’t miss much. Just a couple of the others singing and playing ocarina, then a few of 'em went off to… I think they said 'meat farm.' Dunno what that is. How’s your head? I have painkillers."

[Alene : File City : Primary Village]

Alene, still breathless after being startled. She watched from the distance. Not really seeing. Just looking as she tried to get her wits back.

"Weee that was fun!" the thrown Poyomon said laughing where he was at next to Bobbi and Song. He looked around towards the woods where he saw his thrower, "Can you do that again?" he called out to the girl then ran back to Alene.

When the creature came back to her, Alene stared at it as her breathing started to return to normal.

"Who, what, are you?

"I am Poyomon. I am yours. Now are you going to do that again or not?

"What?" she simply stared at Poyomon, words and actions escaping her.
