Help had arrived! Mik could have cheered out loud. "She won't stop attacking!" he explained. "I think there's something wrong with her."
Another shot, landed, and every time he wished they would miss. He was trying hard not to strike.

Al went to swing at the creature when Mik's questions drew him out of the fight. He turned and stared at the kid as if he'd list his ******** mind - which clearly he had. Al was punched out of his stunned silence by the... thing... whatever, zombie, he guessed.

"Heard you fighting it, so I came to give you a hand. Probably safer to stay in groups." Jordan nodded to Ace as well. As Shu shoved the zombie away from her, Jordan stepped in to swing Ferros, angling the weapon's arc higher and overhand this time, mindful of the space around them. The weapon smashed heavily into the zombie, staggering it and splattering bits onto the floor.
The question was a relevant one, considering. "Let's hope we don't have to find out," he replied.

Well, it be rude to decline an open invitation. Even it was from Finn, but Peyton being present more than made up for that and Milo hoped she wouldn't mind if he took it and joined with them. "Hey, if you two don't mind, would love to, ya." He grinned to the pair as he made to follow, gingerly unclipping Koume's unsummoned form to materialize her in full in his hand.

Oliver had been reluctant. Very much so, but he had very little control over whether he left the island or not, especially under emergency situations. All the work he was doing could be done later, any scheduled events in the labs could either be rescheduled, the ones that couldn’t were easily done by trainees. It meant he might have a couple late nights ahead of him to catch up, but that was not a viable consideration when it came to mission attendance. Thankfully when he arrived, he spotted the one person who had reliably kept his a** alive during the past year. The nervous, freckled boy made his way over to where Finn was being joined by Peyton. If there was anyone he could hope to survive a zombie invasion with, it was probably those two. “Um, h-hi,” he stammered, looking undeniably unsettled despite having some hope for not dying.

Horace was glad to see Al and Noah. Well, as glad as he could be. He could've hoped for a hard-hitting sun, but... "Mikael, did you even read the mission info? Green eyes - won't stop until they are dead, so kill it." This was ******** team idiot or something. Horace was including himself in that self-appellation: he couldn't hit for s**t, apparently.

"Green eyes," Noah said, and frowned. As the zombie turned its gaze and claws in his general direction, he held his breath and swung Laz again, bringing the motion in from the shoulder and sinking the blade into the zombie's side. He tried to ignore the bubbling pleased sounds Laz made as he fed. "Do you suppose it's anything like red eyes?" he asked as he skittered back away from the stinking claws that raked across his forearm.
The blond kid - Mikael, if he remembered right - didn't seem to be trying to attack, in spite of the rifle he clutched. Noah gave him an incredulous look. Maybe he had a reason for just hanging back?

Noemi's last mission with monsters and zombies had been terrifying, but she was sure this time would be different. She was stronger, and the zombies weren't friends but random strangers. Well random monsters.
And she had a friend that she was going to be with!
Her hand was gripped almost too tight on Chris's jacket sleeve, her weapon already drawn.
"Thi...This is the place." She breathed in. "So...so we just...need to defeat the things. Ok...Okay." Her eyes shifted to a sound in the mall hallways, only to go back to Chris's. "So...So just....hit all the things."
Luckily, she would be bringing all her healing supplies. Bandages wrapped in more bandages to be used.

Al frowned deeply as claws raked in Noah's direction. This a*****e had to die and ******** now before this zombie s**t spread. "Don't get bit man, we don't know what this ******** s**t does." He hazarded as he moved up alongside Noah, forming a physical barrier before clocking Nuru across it's forehead, barely grazing it before it lashed out in return. Good, better him than Noah.
Except nah. Nuru grumbled irritably.

Chris took shallow breaths, staving off the dizziness that came with using the portal while so tired. He took Noemi's cue and stood close enough for his shoulder to brush hers.
He was a moon. He could defend her. He was ******** captain america. He's got this.
"This is it," he agreed. "Just bash them and don't think too hard about it. I've got your back."

Noemi's hand tightened again as the lumbering forms turned towards her.
But she had a friend and good moon so she started to move, her trident swinging far and wide to push them back until Chris could move to defend her.
"I trust you." Noemi said quietly, "I got you too okay?" She was only half worried about him but...Chris was captain America! No matter what! He would come through!

Chris's mouth pressed into a thin line. He didn't have anything to say to that - seemed like everyone was trying to tell him they could hold him up.
But he was still a damn good moon, so he stepped forward and used the armor plating of his weapon to bash away their attacks so Noemi could get in for a hit. It was always a little weird to do this with someone other than Chel. He felt like he had to telegraph his moves more. Ace skewered and swung the zombie into a more open space, and Shu flattened it further. The creature vomited a vile, stinking fluid, and Jordan grimaced. The thing looked battered and badly damaged, but it still squirmed. As Shu moved away from it, Jordan took a long step in and brought Ferros down hard onto what was left of the zombie. There was a crunch and a disgusting wet noise, and the thing squirted gross fluids. But it stopped wriggling.
Dead, Ferros reported shortly.
"That's one," Jordan said with some satisfaction. "Do you guys mind if I stick with you? I'd prefer to stay with a group rather than tackling this alone. Who knows how many of these there are."
