Eviesee645 Vanhifleburken Eviesee645 Vanhifleburken Eviesee645 Vanhifleburken Not really. People here literally stop aging at the high school level. Some party constantly and won't work. Some have kids they don't want so they can get welfare and what not to avoid having a job they don't want. Some file alcoholism as a disease so they get disability (yes that actually counts...) so they can get paid to not have a job and drink themselves to death. You know, finding every way to screw the system. Aaaand everyone bangs everyone else without thinking twice about it. Yup. Still in high school lol Geez... that sounds pretty terrible Yea it really is. So i pretty much just keep to myself. Lot less headache. No chance of moving? Not much of one. Jobs are scarce and cost of living is a tad on the ridiculous side. Insurance rates here are some of the highest in the country. Food prices keep going up but wages remain the same. Really? Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? michigan. We had minimum wage go up recently but then bam food prices nearly doubled. Pretty much over shadowed the raise.

So basically to leave you'd need a good amount of savings to get which you'd need a better job which would probably mean you wouldn't really want to leave all that much in the first place.

Pretty much. Aaaand unless you're a doctor good luck on the better paying job. Well that's just booo Yup. Doesn't help that Michigan was primarily a factory state. Automotive specifically. And back while Bush was still in office, our lovely governor passed something allowing tax incentives to businesses that outsourced to china. Soooo all the factories, save a couple, packed up and moved leaving all those factory workers jobless. So the job market got pretty flooded allowing companies to hire people temporarily and firing/replacing them before they qualified for permanent employment. And then hurricane Katrina pushed everyone out of lousiana who then needed places to go. And with the media reporting constantly that michigan was on the road to recovery, bringing in new jobs and what-not, a lot of them got moved here. well they couldn't get jobs as there weren't any, weren't any coming in, and we were in fact NOT in recovery but still plummeting. Well most of them are still unemployed and quite a few of them are homeless, as are a lot of people who previously had owned their homes. The economy has now sort of stabilized but we're still losing business here and there. We lost all the 7-11's as they went out of business, mostly due to being constantly robbed, and now k-mart has also closed down. Not that we're all that surprised what with them taking back martha stewart and all. You know, after she went to jail for embezzling from them. So even having a job at all is pretty lucky. Unless of course you're a doctor as the local colleges have taken to promoting classes in health care. And the hospital is expanding it's territory. Which is surprisingly easy when all the houses are empty. Meanwhile the current governor and city council are doing everything in their power to seize any houses they can so the hospital has to purchase the land from them. Then they can pocket that money as they have much of the taxes and what-not supposed to be set aside for city repairs and what ever other things it SHOULD be going for. Apparently they want to make Port Huron a tourist attraction, eliminating all the inhabitants, all so they can generate revenue when people come to town while not having to maintain the city as no residents means no maintenance. So basically force people out of their homes and then arrest them for being homeless. I call it the "you're never leaving michigan plan." and with all the roads being torn up supposedly under construction just getting around is a b***h. construction workers are paid by the hour so they spend months sometimes years on projects that should take a couple days. and with the weather constantly changing, freezing thawing freezing thawing usually all in the same day let alone week all the cracks and potholes just keep getting bigger so it ends up taking even longer to fix. So yea it literally feels like they want everyone to stay trapped. And I STILL keep a mostly upbeat attitude with my usual random/fun/obnoxious behavior. Or I'm really just bat-s**t crazy. That could be the case too. XD

I mostly just hold onto the hope that one day I'll meet someone that doesn't solely want one-sided relationships. Seriously one way or the other all i've ever witnessed is one person caring solely about themselves while the other person/people throw themselves at them hoping one day they'll change just for them. Which, of course, why change when people throw themselves at you for being a selfish p***k.

Seriously one way or the other all i've ever witnessed is one person caring solely about themselves while the other person/people throw themselves at them hoping one day they'll change just for them. Which, of course, why change when people throw themselves at you for being a selfish p***k. I'm sure it'll work out eventually... and if it doesn't there are always internet brides What like mail order? Or were you proposing? lol jk But yea the internet thing doesn't work much better. Something about the whole not seeing each other thing doesn't work for people. Yeah that's true I know that some people do make it work but it's got to be tough to be with someone who you've never really met Especially when it's someone like me who can't drive ;p Yeahhh...I imagine that would make a long distance relationship especially difficult lol

Eviesee645 Vanhifleburken Eviesee645 Vanhifleburken Eviesee645 Vanhifleburken Oh don't get me wrong i tend to be negative at times. I mostly just hold onto the hope that one day I'll meet someone that doesn't solely want one-sided relationships. They usually end up finding someone closer. Which is fine, but it'd be nice if they still talked to me at least. Not that I'm not used to that.

Yeah that's no fun...to be fair my last boyfriend didn't have a car and it definitely added an extra element of stress to our relationship (I mean he didn't have a job or a green card either so he was kind of a loser but still...)
