Eternal Athene: Current HP = 196

Athene hadn't ben thinking about murder when he'd headed over to give Ganymede a hand with the Negaverse Captain, instead he'd been thinking about the fact that if he and Ganymede worked in concert that it would be enough to make the Nega-Captain retreat - after all Captains like Generals could teleport and between the group's efforts they'd dusted all the youma that she'd brought with her.

He'd forgotten about the Senshi Prince with them - at least until Castor had given a very brutal demonstration of his power - the freckles across his nose standing out in stark relief against skin that had gone almost milky white as he stared at the wounded Captain, the flung shoe that hit her seeming like overkill because although Athene was no doctor even he could see that the Captain was badly injured.

He thought that she'd teleport out at that point - it was clear that it was over so brutally over - it not occurring to him that perhaps she couldn't...

And he wasn't expecting Ganymede of all people to bring a rock down on the the Captain's head with a smile on her face that in that moment made her both unrecognisable and (if he was being honest) pretty scary.

Ironically he would have expected the move of Castor, the Prince (as far as he was concerned) unstable - unstable and with a huge amount of power at his disposal - the worst of combinations, but Ganymede? Ganymede had been there in that warehouse with him, with Ida and she had made her opinions on following Prince Castor and his brother's opinion on how to fight the war so very clear.

Then Pollux had slapped Ganymede and although Athene couldn't quite say that the blonde didn't deserve the slap nor could he say that the Super Senshi had the right to cast stones either - not with his experiences with the other to date.

In fact Athene didn't know what to think.

And then he had seen the almost lost expression on Ganymede's face.

He'd stepped forward - to do what he didn't know - but the blue haired senshi had gotten there first, her voice soft as she asked the blonde if she was all right...

And then they'd been interrupted by youma had come - a whole bunch of youma with a horse-like one with a wickedly sharp horn charging in their direction.

Athene looked around and then snapped a nearby low hanging branch, his face pale as he used it to try and swing out the horse youma. He was all mixed up and had no idea what to think and he really didn't want to be here and had no clue why he'd been pulled here...

But dusting youma - that he could try to do, even if his mixed up feelings meant that his swing was clumsy.

Sessrumnir: 189HP
Targeting Personal Youma Corrina for 38 damage!

“Suddenly everyone became so self-righteous,” Sessrumnir growled as a new wave of youma appeared, following after Athene. “This is war, as everyone likes to say to justify their actions.” He didn’t want to get into it with people he could care less about, but as someone who has been through worse… a lot worse… killing a Negaverse officer on accident, or not, was the least of their worries.

“I’ve had enough of this,” he voice low and his eyes dark, almost uncharacteristic for someone usually so nonchalant. He held up his stormglass once more, catching the image of the unicorn youma inside before it had the opportunity to cause any more damage.

The galestorm that whipped up around it seemed to be enough to cause it to break down. His magic was still much of a mystery to him, but he would never say that it wasn’t useful. To be caught in a storm only you witness would be terrifying to just about anyone.

“Put pressure on it,” he all but ordered to Ganymede as he made his approach once the youma had been taken care of, moving over to Nyx to take hold of her arm and hoist her up. He didn’t spare her any acknowledgement other than getting her to her feet after being pushed out of the way by Ganymede, but he didn’t think this was the time for pleasantries anyway. Besides, he remembered her (though not by name), even if she didn’t remember him.

Castor looked at the one who seemed to be more angry than anything, tossing seashells about. "I could, but the explanation is long, boring, and involves a lot of past bullshit. If you mean on this place right now? No- we were summoned, meaning that something with enough power to summon a royal and more is here, be it the location or figure. That alone is cause of concern. Summons on this scale don't happen without cause, and with chaotic forces my guess is we're to purge this place."

Pollux meanwhile was growing more annoyed each passing second. He wanted actions to begin. Less time spent on chatter. They didn't have time to lollygag. They needed to move and get situated. Comforting and talking was a waste of what little time they had gained. "Oh for the love of-" He glared down at Nyx, wanting to jostle and toss her towards the forest. "We don't have time for this. We need to move. NOW." He waved towards the woods, and as they moved in?

Time was used up.

The figure that drew near was not one he was entirely happy about seeing, and the punch came with surprising force, the seer of flesh hissing as the senshi let out a grunt from the pain. Youma, always with things that could do more than the basic cuts wasn't it?


Castor laughed as the second launched ice at himself and his bother, the sting of shards something he'd grown far to used to, the scars faint lines along his arms that would fade then be replaced nearly monthly. "They've got some balls flinging ice at us!"
Pollux rolled his eyes, the shards cutting open the back of his fuku and faintly drawing blood. It was just another wound, his focus on the flaming female thing in front of him. "If they have such large balls why don't you do everyone a favor and kick them?"
More laughter from the hail prince, he let the gauntlet of ice crackle along his arm. "Only if you make dinner tonight."
"It is your night- and you promised to grill."
"I forgot to put the steaks in the marinade."
"Did you even BUY the steaks?"
"Nope."

The brothers were fighting to be sure, but their lack of caring towards their opponents was rather... apparent.

Sailor Amphitrite - 74HP: Targeting Shadow Youma Tanner for 1 damage!

Amphitrite wasn't completely satisfied with Castor's answer, and it showed clearly on her face. Who would be? -- sure, too long to explain, she got that and all, but she'd really love to get some kind of indication as to why she was here, or why any of them were dragged here in the first place, or -- no answer would have really made her happy, she realized that. Didn't mean she liked being so obviously out of the loop. "I don't care if it's bullshit or not, wing guy, I want the back story when this is all said and done."

She cast Ganymede a look that was some b*****d child of concern, sympathy, and suspicion... but this wasn't the time to pursue that either, especially not while they were being attacked. The youma descended to attack Asclepius, and without giving herself a chance to breathe, Amphitrite pulled herself up and made a grab for Cruithne to try and tug her gently out of harm's way -- in the process, she wound up stepping on it with her shoe-less, stocking clad foot. (Ugh. That'd probably stain, right?)

Nyx [93HP] targeting Flaming Youma Joan for 3 damage! ( 41 - 3 = 38 )

That escalated quickly.

Her request for a little peace backfired harder than she initially thought. Youma poured out of the forest, only one holding back. Before Nyx could coordinate her limbs into considering flight of fight, she was roughly - and thankfully - shoved out of the dark unicorn’s path. It was a quick moment until she found herself being pulled upward, a definite improvement over sideways, by a Jupiter knight. Nyx looked expectantly for Ganymede and the youma that had just charged them. It was already down. And just as importantly, none of theirs were. She made a mental note to be properly reverent later, because there were still other beasties about.

Nyx took in the new battlefield: the conditions, locations, and where she may be needed most. It also meant catching a good look at the knight who looked out for her. Up close, he looked very familiar, but… she would ask later. At the moment, Nyx also spied a page and the guy bothering Ganymede going against one of the most horrible and beautiful youma the phantasmagoria senshi had seen yet. Downright creepy, and possibly on fire. With the other youma well covered, it was also the best option. Though, part of her loathed to help the icy super.

“Thank you,” she said quickly to the knight, wanting to at least express her gratitude in some part before throwing herself back into the fray.

Rather than risking her already singed hands, Nyx tested the flames - a side kick that came away hot and rich with new burns told her that the youma`s fire was real enough.

Pollux was not exactly looking for a relationship. Plus-
As the youma looked far to human for his comfort?

He hated physical contact in general. He hated forward female contact. His emotional state was along the lines of 'its a woman and it's not one I like and so I am going to get the hell out of dodge.' He didn't like the youma's movements for one very large reason.

They reminded him far to much of women he had to deal with at various corporate parties that tried to get in his pants.

Poolux's expression shifted, and Castor took notice.

"Oh god." Pollux just took a slight step back.
"Oh god." Castor's voice was rising as Pollux remained silently mortified and trying to hide how uncomfortable he was.
"Oh ******** hell are you shitting me fratello?" Castor started cackling as he swung out at the lantern again.
"It's a ******** youma, not one of those cooperate slags, just kick her in the face for ******** sake!" Still, Castor kept laughing as Pollux tried to maintain as much distance as he could from the youma, eventually using his attack on her- though he doubted a layer of frost would last long on a woman made of fire.

Athene was not expecting something to cause the youma to let out a loud shrieking sound and suddenly turn crazy.

Yes that was the word for it - crazy - as the youma that had been attacking Ganymede suddenly turned into a flailing mess. A flailing mess complete with twisted horn and flailing hooves.

Athene did his best to try to get out of range of both, but it was as if whatever had crazed the unicorn thing had also made it faster or perhaps faster was just his imagination. Whichever it was however, despite his best effort Athene was not fast enough to avoid getting kicked by one of the youma's hooves as he tried to get out of range.

Cloth was no barrier to the knife-sharp hoof and Athene gave a pained cry as the hoof easily bit into layers of cloth to hit flesh, even as the impact sent him flying backwards.

He stopped when he hit a nearby tree and fell into a heap onto the ground.

A part of him knew that he should get up, but pain meant that it took quite a few moments before he made a move to do so, using the tree to help haul himself up, gritting his teeth against the flash of white hot pain caused by the movement.

Athene leaned against the tree when he was done and tried to take some sort of stock of his injuries. His body hurt and his hand came away sticky when he pressed the side where the unicorn thingy's hoof had caught him - an action he quickly regretted due to the flash of pain caused. On the plus side however nothing seemed broken and (whether it was sheer dumb luck or otherwise) his glasses had managed to make it out of the whole collision intact - which was more than could be said for the branch that he'd been using to try to hit the unicorn with.

The sounds reminded him that there were still youma around, that others were still fighting and so as much as he wanted to check for Ganymede, the knight that been helping them and the blue-haired senshi that Ganymede had pushed out of the way of the unicorn youma. A part of Athene knew that it would have to wait until the youma had been dealt with.

There was no sign of the unicorn youma and one less aura and so Athene could only assume that it had been dusted by a combination of efforts - not his (he knew his attempted branch hit hadn't done much) - but by the others.

There were other youma's though, like some sort of shadow thing that was attacking the super senshi who had told them that her magic could heal. Athene spotted a glimpse of purple hair by her two and recognised it as belonging to Cruithne.

It seemed that he had a new target.

Athene didn't bother with magic, not wanting to deal with the unpredictability that was his senshi magic or risk hitting one of the group round him by accident. Instead he picked up the thickest and heaviest piece out of the pieces of what had once been a branch before lobbing the wood in the direction of the shadow-like youma.

Sailor Amphitrite - 74HP: Targeting Shadow Youma Tanner for 2 damage!

So she'd been tackled today. Bitten. Burned. All of those things had hurt like a b***h - but the gooey youma started to curl around her foot, even if there -was- a sock in the way, was probably the grossest thing that had happened to her today. Amphitrite gave a small squeak of disgust, promptly easing away and... okay, most of the 'weapons' available were about as nasty, rotting and all. So she opted to follow the leader, so to speak, grabbing a piece of driftwood to try and jab into the mass.
