User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.A lesson book. Aya smiled wistfully to himself as he reached up to scratch absentmindedly at the spot behind his ears, unaware of the light blush that was currently colouring Toshi's cheeks.

He really hated to bother the winged male yet again over something as trivial as the contents of such a book since he was entirely clueless about the matter entirely and most of Itsuki's knowledge had been taught by their parents as well as he himself as was the custom in their family. However, the red-haired Haka couldn't really see any other way that he could get the answers that he seeked and Aya hated to be ignorant.

Tilting his head towards Toshi's direction, Aya smiled softly before posing his next question with carefully chosen words, trying to pretend that he knew what lesson books were all about and he was curious to know what Toshi was reading in particular. Not entirely far from the truth anyway, so no harm done all in all.

"Hmm... what kind of lessons..?"

User ImageToshi glanced up, smiling at the haka. He shifted his position so that the other could see the book. "My mother runs a bookstore. I'm the only child, so she's raising me to be the best possible asset to my haka. Sums, time management of other gehaka, various ways to do laundry, fold clothes, run the store. This book discusses various things- ways to hold weapons in formal situations, ways to keep gehaka civil arguments from spreading to their haka's bedroom, etc. Not too much of interest, really."

He gave the lovely haka a shy smile, closing the book and handing it to him. "If you would like to look it over, I was going to go get some tea. Would you like me to bring you some as well, haka-sama?" he didn't know the strangers name, and his lightly inquisitive eyebrow politely asked the question.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Aya nodded slowly a few times as he listened to Toshi's words with undisguised interest. He had always thought that such skills were only passed down within the family almost akin to the way that a parents' genes were passed on to their own children. Not something that one could find in books. Guess he had always been wrong till this very day.

The violet-eyed Haka mused inwardly to himself as he placed the book that Toshi had handed to him on his lap so that he could look over its contents a little while later.

"The name's Aya. Fujimiya Aya. And yes, some tea would be nice if it's not too much of a trouble to you..?"

Aya responded in kind with a slightly inquisitive quirk in his eyebrow that almost paralleled Toshi's own while noting inwardly with interest the way the tanned male had posed the unspoken question to him through a simple change in his body language as well as the tone of his voice.

Hmm... most interesting indeed. If anything, it made Aya want to learn more about Toshi. Something that had never occurred to him in his entire existence thus far. Perhaps this wouldn't be just any other afternoon afterall...

User ImageToshi bowed politely. "Yakume Toshi." he said. "I will be right back with the tea, Aya-sama." he said, and gave a shy smile, bowing, and hurried off to go get some tea. Aya... a lovely name... and such gorgeous violet eyes... Toshi hadn't met too horribly many haka, but none of them had affected him like this one. He had seemed truly interested in what Toshi had to say! He found it intriguing.

A few minutes later, and he was heading back to the haka with a small pot of tea and two cups. He approached the redhead politely, tanned ears perked up in interest. "Aya-sama." he greeted, and knelt in front of the other, pouring them both a cup of tea, allowing the haka to reach out and take the cup he wanted.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.As slender fingers turned the pages of the book that he was currently skimming through, Aya found his mind wandering back to the blond Gehaka known as Toshi every now and then.

The way he had carried himself. The way he had spoken to him. Amiable yet respectful at the same time. Most Gehakas in Toshi's place would probably be quaking in fear the moment a Haka approached them the way Aya had earlier. The fact that Toshi hadn't reacted similarly and had instead treated Aya like a friend was definitely a point in his favour. It was the exact way that the red-haired Haka had always hoped for the people around him to treat him wherever he went.

Dipping his head slightly towards Toshi to indicate his thanks for the proffered tea, Aya shut the book before sliding it over to the winged male, violet orbs gleaning over the title labelled clearly on its spine while he made a mental note of it at the same instant. Perhaps he could recommend Itsuki the same book at a later date since there was afterall no harm learning more about such things if said male was going to be a good husband to whoever he's going to marry in the future.

Reaching out for the cup that was nearest to himself, Aya held it close to his nose so that he could sniff at the amber liquid it contained. The smell of the tea was wonderfully rich and uniquely flavoured. It made the violet-eyed Haka wonder briefly what kind of tea leaves Toshi might have used during the brewing process.

Making eye contact with the tanned Gehaka, Aya gestured towards the cup he held in his hand, a gentle smile on his face as he made his inquiry.

"If I may ask, what kind of tea might this be Toshi..?"

User ImageToshi took the book with a small bow, then lifted his own cup. He'd hurried back to the shop, and brewed a small pot of the oolong tea his mother had them pass out to customers. He was sipping his tea when Aya had inquired about the tea. He lowered his cup, one ear twitching, and habit he had when embarassed. "Oolong tea, Aya-sama." he said politely.

And now he was at a loss. Would this haka become offended if he wanted to read his book? His mother would be furious if he offended a haka, even on accident. Or would the haka want conversation, or...

Haka were so very confusing. So Toshi took a chance, moving back under the shade of the tree and opening his book to the chapter he'd left off on, one ear attentively perked towards the haka, and sipping his tea.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Nodding his head a few times to acknowledge Toshi's words, Aya continued to sip his tea in silence, his mind already making a note of the name of the fine tea that he was currently enjoying so that he could make the necessary arrangements required to add it to his ever growing collection back home. He had learnt something new today and, needless to say, was very very pleased. And so the young Haka remained seated next to Toshi, content to simply enjoy his tea at his own leisure as well as the amiable silence that hung in the air.

Had Aya been aware of Toshi's concerns though, he would have immediately laid them to rest without further ado. However, as fate would have it, the red-haired Haka was blissfully unaware and did nothing of that sort, choosing to remain silent so that his companion could go back to enjoying the contents of his book.

It was a lovely day all in all. A day that he could afford to sit back and just let the day pass by him for once...

Toshi finally let his ear drop back down, noting the fact that the haka seemed to be quite content to just relax. His hand started moving again, as he followed some of the instructions in the book. Hmm. Hand-to-hand combat wasn't his thing, he was a very peaceful person, but most likely, it would be battle skills that would get him married. A friend of his mother's had been eyeing him for some time, but his mother kept putting the considerably older haka off, for which Toshi was very thankful.

This book was quite informative, actually. the Gehaka was quite enjoying it. As he sank back into the book, he started humming quietly again.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Pools of violet were crinkled slightly with undisguised amusement at Toshi's hand moving in mid-air. No doubt in accordance with the instructions given by the book on some skill that the winged male was attempting to pick up on his own.

Aya noted inwardly to himself as he gently set his half-empty cup on the ground, taking care to not do anything that might cause Toshi to stop what he was currently doing. It pleased the young Haka to no end that the tanned Gehaka could be so at ease in his presence and he was pretty intent on ensuring that this moment lasted as long as possible.

With his ears perking up a little at the tune that Toshi had taken to humming out of the blue, Aya leaned back against the trunk slightly, his eyes sliding shut as he enjoyed the soft tune in silence.

Toshi finished his chapter with a small yawn, stretching out his wings and raising his arms above his head. He reached down for his teacup, only to note that it was empty. He sighed and stood, blinking down at the relaxed haka. He had such long eyelashes, and such a delicate face. Toshi wondered what the punishment would be if he just reached out and ran a hand down that pale cheek. Would it feel like porcelain, silky and smooth, but with the heat of flesh? Or would it be like a statue? Beautiful but cold and hard as cut stone?

The gehaka coughed lightly as he poured himself some more lukewarm tea. "Aya-sama." he murmured quietly, in case the haka was asleep. He didn't want to wake the young male up if he was- Aya looked so peaceful, the thought of waking him up made Toshi sad.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Maybe it was the mid-afternoon heat that was making him sleepy. Perhaps Toshi's humming had somehow managed to lull him to sleep. Or maybe it was the fact that he knew that he could be at ease in Toshi's presence.

Whatever the case, Aya did not stir despite Toshi's calling. An expression of serenity on his face as he slept on. A face that revealed his youthful features now that it was devoid of the facade that he constantly had to maintain in the presence of others.

Toshi bit his lip when the haka never responded to his gentle call. With a soft sigh, he reached out, running a hand down one pale cheek, brushing a strand of red hair out of Aya's face. Before he really knew what he was doing, he leaned forward, pressing a butterfly soft kiss to Aya's lips. Aya felt as soft as Toshi had imagined, but the gehaka was terrified at his own daring. How could he have done something.... so sneaky?

He flipped open the cover, finding a writing utensil in his pocket and flipping open the cover of the book. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Aya-sama. I had never met quite so pleasant a haka before. Thank you. It was an honor. Yakume Toshi."

Flipping the book cover shut after ascertaining that the ink was dry, he closed the book cover and set it near Aya, hurrying away towards his home, and his mother's bookstore.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It was about close to an hour after Toshi's hasty departure that Aya finally woke up, violets eyes blinking a few times in the midst of his post-sleep induced confusion before he realized that he was alone. Toshi was gone. The book that he had been reading earlier left in his place instead.

Straightening himself a little, the young Haka sighed softly to himself as he shifted the book that the Gehaka had left for him onto his lap. He had been meaning to talk to Toshi a little more if time permitted but of all the things that could possibly happen, he just had to fall asleep right there and then. His timing couldn't have been any better.

Aya seethed inwardly at himself as he stood up to dust off his yukata after having kept Toshi's book safely, all the while blissfully unaware of the handwritten note that the Gehaka had left for him on the inner cover of the book. He would make a trip to the Yakume bookshop immediately if he could, but Aya was painfully aware of the fact that he was wearing a yukata right now and said article of clothing was definitely not appropriate for someone of his status to wear in full plain view of the public's eye.

Grumbling to himself about rigid social structures and the inconveniences that they brought to one at times, the Fujimiya clan Haka began to hurriedly make his way home. With any luck, he would be able to make the trip down to his intended destination within the next hour or so and woe be whoever dared to stand in his way till he got to do what needed to be done...

User Image Taini glanced around with his blue eyes. Tsukiko.... he smiled a bit, and nodded slightly. He was meeting the little haka here.

The blonde gehaka streched and looked at the bracer around his wrist. Tsukiko had put it there. He chuckled slightly, then remembered his mother's reaction to him spending the night at Tsukiko's... his jaw still smarted from being smacked. Oh well, it was no big deal.

User ImageThe chocolate haka strolled around in the garden, looking for Taini. When he spotted the other, he waved and ran over. "how are you today?" He asked Taini. He twirled around. "Spring is such a lovely time to be in a garden. THe flowers are in full bloom and rumors say that there's love in the air" He added in a sing song voice. He couldn't get over on how happy his mother was that he was going to finally marry someone. Tsukiko preferred that it'd be Taini because he's a nice and skilled one.
