One of the down sides of a mid range weapon was the long arcing swing Benitoite was accustomed to using in battles as opposed to thrusts; but as as a General King that motion hinderance was easily overlooked with the speed behind such an act. Even so Kazenite held her blade out to the side bracing its edge against the palm of her left hand while holding the hilt in the right. The force exerted upon contact was enough to cause her to leg to buckle under the shear weight and the ivy decorations that laced itself around his spear extended past the width of her sword cutting into the palm of her open hand. Metal vines hooked into her skin ripping flesh as she pulled her arm free and rolled to the right.

Refusing to stay still she rose to one knee and swung her blade once more in his general direction sending loose debris at him in an attempt to force some distance between them. She was under no delusions that he’d be blown over by her attack like the little senshi she had just killed or the Knight that accompanied them but she hoped that the dust she kicked up would offer her aid in distracting him.

Oh, it would aid her and well. The cloud of dust and particles did rise up high enough to get into his eyes; causing him to blink several times to clear them. The swing she took at him bit into his legs, bringing pain to the forefront though it didn’t last long, as he grunted and in response he lashed out with a vicious kick. One riding boot that had moments ago been still moved quickly as it sought to do damage to the General Queen and whatever part of her it may hit, maybe it wouldn’t hit though.

“Get on your feet, fight me on your feet.” The words were an order as if he was back to training her, though that had been years and years ago.

They teleported. They ******** teleported. Maybe, just maybe if Wafflefries would have remembered that he would have not bothered to run. Maybe he would have not even tried to attack her in the first place. But she ******** teleported and killed him just as quickly as he had killed the others.

The adrenaline was running so high he couldn't even tell he was stabbed until his body dropped.

So this was death. An empty darkened sky and red all over. Red on his chest on his lips on his hair just everywhere. It was such a weird color, red was. It had always been so angry and so fierce but now it was just warm. A warm color that was about to carry the kid away. And he was so pissed. But calm. Did that even make sense?

Hell, it didn't matter, all that mattered was red. And it was there and it was warm. And soon there was nothing.

Mildly surprised that he didn’t jump over her sword like a skip-it toy she felt a bit of pride having struck her former mentor though she felt slightly disappointed that she didn’t sever his limbs completely. Still a hit for a hit, one useless hand in exchange for a limp leg seemed to be a fair enough exchange.

Missing her golden opportunity to run him through as he blinked away the dust in his eye, Kazenite was slow to react to the boot that came flying towards her face and only managed to avoid having her face smashed in by bringing up her mangled arm to block his foot with her forearm. Though the attack was close and lacked a full swing the strength behind it was enough to cause her to stagger backwards and lose her footing completely.

Just as Chaldene had instructed, Acrucis kept her eyes trained on Benitoite and let out an audible gasp as the Queen’s sword bit into his shins. Without skipping a beat she brought her hands up in a prayer like motion and bowed her head “Prayer of Healing” she recited the name of her super attack and extended one hand out to Benitoite, now that there was enough space between the two sovereigns, and placed the palm of her other hand on her own chest.

Both figures stood now haloed in a yellow light, a beacon amongst the sea of chaos. Almost immediately the Senshi of Prayer felt the discomfort from the fall mere moments ago fade into nothingness yet the blood stains still remained as did the metallic smell that clung to her skin.

He was not expecting Acrucis to heal him but she did, it wasn’t even that much of an injury. “Thank you.” The words left his lips in a soft spoken thanks. He owed her a lot and with her help he was sure to see this through to a personal victory, would Acrucis be upset if he danced upon Kazenite’s dead body? He hoped not as he very much thought he might do just that, out of sheer joy and the relief over his lovers death being avenged. As injuries healed up he sighed gently, a soft smile gracing his features. He owed the senshi of prayers so much, he would find some manner to pay her back for all the help when this was over. What could he do for her though? He’d think about it later, once this was all said and done with.

She didn't expect it, a General Queen coming after a low ranking senshi such as the one at her side. But he had tried to attack her! Why would a new senshi do something like that? Even as a knight she knew just how stupid an idea that was, she wanted to shout at him, anything to vent her frustrations as she put distance between them and the General Queen. It was too late though as she came down from her perch and swept down like a wraith and attacked the poor senshi at her side, just as she was reaching out to grasp his arm and drag him off.

It was in stunned silence, unable to render help, that she watched as the senshi was fatally wounded. No words left her parted lips though she did tremble and shake. She ignored the words, acted as if she didn't hear them, but they were heard and rung through her head clear as crystal.

“Son of a b***h.” Kazenite’s lips formed a thin line as her eyes fixated on the two glowing figures standing in her line of sight. This was exactly what was NOT suppose to happen. Benitoite receiving aid from that Senshi of Prayer was a tide turner she did not want to deal with. She should have just offed the healer before confronting the ashen blond. What was it that all those gamer nerds said when talking about that PVP s**t: Kill the healers first. Yeah, now she fully understood why.

No more hesitation.

Lets level the playing field shall we? Kazenite’s eyes narrowed as she brought forth and consumed the precious starseed she had plucked just minutes ago from the younger senshi. Almost immediately she could feel the effects take hold and the lacerations along her left hand and wrist begin to mend themselves. Two can play at this game. She thought while licking her dry cracked lips.

Using the added energy boost from the seed, the General Queen gripped the hilt of her sword and lunged forward before using her teleport ability much like when she had skewered the boy. There was some sick joy she found in watching the life drain from traitors and sympathisers which is why she always attacked from the front. Leave it to the rogues and cowards to strike a killing blow from behind, too green to stomach the look in their opponent's eyes as the light faded and their body fell limp.

He was expecting Kazenite to attack him, why would she do otherwise, and had prepared himself for her attack as he saw her coming toward them. Watching her teleport he braced himself, waiting, as he hoped to soften the blow with his own weapon which was held up in front of himself as though it were some form of shield. Let her get her hand further damaged by his blades ivy, or maybe the other hand would be victim this time, it was of no consequence to him and perhaps a small amount of pride would be gleaned from it.

What he was expecting and what happened however were two entirely different things. He watched her reappear and gasped loudly, eyes widening, as he saw her reappear. “Acurcis!” he called out loudly, his voice rising as if to drown out every other voice around them. Maybe it was in the hopes of being heard, as if he were far away from her, or it was the raw shock and emotions racing through him which brought his voices volume up as he called out a warning to the senshi. Turning as he shouted her name again, the volume rising if that was possible, he watched and even tried to move but knew he wouldn’t make it in time. He knew he wouldn’t make it but he tried, sought to save the one he’d vowed to protect and keep safe. Would she move in time? Avoid the incoming attack of the General Queen. Even as his feet moved he hoped to see the periwinkle haired senshi move.

It was almost as if time stood still as the air was forced from her lungs from the blade now protruding from her backside. Shock left her body numb till sapphire blue eyes peaked from behind once closed lids and locked with the teal-blue color belonging to the General Queen.

“You should have stayed out of the way.” She heard Kazenite whisper before pulling the sword free from her body. Hot tears pricked the corners of her eyes and spilled down her cheeks in steady streams as she struggled to draw in a ragged breath.

Acrucis lowered her hands, which had previously been held in prayer with one hand resting upon her chest, to apply pressure to to her lower abdomen before her knees gave way. The world around her tilted heavily and for a moment she was slightly confused till her body fell to the side and her head connected with the pavement.

The sounds of battle fell upon deaf ears till Benitoites cry broke through her momentary daze. “I’m sorry,” she mouthed after hearing the pain in his voice and seeing the panicked stricken look sweep across his face.

Phact was on the ledge of the roof the moment she saw the periwinkle haired senshi raise her hands. She had seen this move before and knew it was the moment she had been waiting for. Within moments, the so called ‘king’ would have several wounds healed and be ready to go around. This would be a tide turner for her mistress if something was not done and done quickly.

What she did not know about was the starseed Kazenite was swallowing nor that the other senshi would not react. However, she held off. She would not interrupt her mistress’ battle under order of…

The next moment happened in a blink but the screams of the man were not lost on the senshi of dove’s tuned in ears. Quickly turning those red eyes from surprise attack, Phact saw what was coming.

It was her turn now.

Stepping off the side of the building, the now black bird spread her arms like wings and disappeared only to reappear at Kazenite’s back putting herself in the middle of the path between the traitorous king and her queen. Her express was blank as she looked forward to meet his face. Though when she saw the pain, a smile grew.

Someone new for his blade to bite into, it wasn’t who he wanted to draw the blood of, but wasn’t this one a helper off Kazenite? Yes, she was. He could not forget this senshi nor her place at the General Queen’s side. As the smile formed on her lips he felt his anger rise, as if it could mount any higher, and used his blade to stab at her, not that it was made for such but he could manage in a tight situation. “You’ll die in place of your creator.” He spoke, his words deadly soft, as he stared at her. Slate eyes locking onto red eyes as he held his blade still not moving it forward nor backward, as he watched and waited to see her reaction and to hear whatever utterances she may have for his ears.

“I hope you enjoy wherever it is that your sort go to.” As if he weren’t equally corrupted, more so even, but he was sure whatever would happen to her would be different from whatever would await him whenever it was that death took him.

He needed, desperately so, to get past this corrupted senshi and get to the fallen senshi of prayer. He was sure he could help, somehow, as she had helped him for so many years. He felt the telltale sting of tears p***k at his eyes and fought to blink them away, a failed attempt as he felt the tears start to slide down his cheeks. How could this be...she couldn’t die...she just couldn’t. He was supposed to keep her safe, like so many others, and again he was failing in this oath he’d given.

In what felt like slow motion, the raven haired senshi felt the slice of cold steel run through her pale skin. Arms remained upward in the protective stance she had appeared in, those ruby red eyes were locked on his slate colored orbs. Each inch that pierced through her body sent another wave of cold shock up her spin. Trying to catch her breath, Phact realized she was starting to breath in gasps the more the metal slid inside her.

Then it stopped.

Slowly, with jerking motions, Phact allowed her head to drop and take in the blade had been caught by that same ivy that had sliced so daringly in her mistress’ hand. His shock had kept the king from coming full force thus preventing the sharp edges of the plant to push completely through her flesh and bone. However, one did not need to be sliced in half to find the cold slice of death’s scythe.

The six inches that had found it where enough to draw sweet life blood from her abdomen.

In slow motions, her hands dropped from their out stretched guard to grip the steel around the blue orbs. Pale skin was turning even whiter as her hands slowly began to cover in the red, warm liquid. Still, the black dove used what she could to force the spear tip backwards. It took almost everything she had to push back the enraged general king’s arm but when she did, and the black tip slipped from her flesh, nicking her one last time, Phact’s eyes returned to his face. She smiled weakly at him and felt her legs go weak in the knees. “It was a pleasure to watch you suffer.”

At that moment, the ground seemed to disappear under feet. Phact could no longer keep on her feet and dropped backwards, eyes shooting towards the sky she loved so much.

Her fall was stopped by the strong back of the woman she protected. A gentle thud was the response as the senshi’s form slightly bounced and slid into a crumpled heap on the ground. Her arms out stretched, her legs in a twisted mess, her head rolled to the side and took in the other fallen woman with periwinkle hair. Had they both taken a blade for the one they protected so much?

The irony that the one who brought strange tears to her eyes should to meet her fate that day.

Acrucis felt her body begin to tremble; in part from shock and lost of blood and witnessing the one she once named sister fall beside her. She coughed once while trying to hold back a sob, a fruitless endeavor ”Phact,” she struggled to say her sisters name, likely unheard over the wailing cries of the surrounding battles. “Phact” she tried once more her voice trembling as sobs racked her body and vision began to blur.

Not caring about her wounds, the Senshi of Prayer struggled to reach out towards her fallen former friend. Her body protested to the movements sending sharp mind numbing pains through her body as precious life blood seeped from the wound at an increasing rate. “Look at me,” she whispered, “Phact…Please.” came her desperate plea which was punctuated by a coughing fit. It didn’t matter that the once pristine white senshi of doves now donned the uniform of a corrupt. She was still family.
